Pastry Paradise Cheats, Tips & Hack for Medals & Moves

What have we here? Another Candy Crush clone? Oh dear…

Gaming Development Company Gameloft recently launched Pastry Paradise on iOS devices. It’s another match three game that very similar to many of our favorites.

At the very beginning of the game, we meet pastry aficionado Hannah, who is enlisting your help in her crusade against the evil Mr Molleux, the “Crooked Cook”. He is trying to fill the world with tasteless morsels and disgusting deserts.
You work your way through many challenging levels fulfilling the specific requirements of each level. Each level has a unique board layout along with specific move limits. Players create matches by switching pastries to create a match of three or more pastries. As more than four identical pastries are matched up, special power up pastries are created which do special clearing moves on the board when swapped with other certain pastries, entire rows can be cleared, all of a single color can be cleared and in some instances, the entire board can be cleared.

The maximum amount of stars that can be earned on each level is three, the amount of stars you end up receiving depends purely on how many points you are able to earn in that level. If you manage to get all three stars on a level, you end up with a special prize for doing so, the prizes usually contain coins that can be spent on extra boosters which make your games even easier to get through, you can buy extra moves, whisks that shuffle all the pastries on the board and numerous others.

There are also head to head battles that are similar to boss fights, these games are very similar to the experience of Reversi, where you claim specific spots on the board as your own, whoever end up with the high number of spots at the end of the match is the winner.

As you progress further into the game, the levels get harder to complete on the first try, which result in you using many of your lives to actually complete the level. the requirements for completing the levels get more complex such as removing all chocolate squares from the board, creating matches of specific pastries to complete certain recipes.

That still isn’t all the game has to offer, alongside the single player mode, there is also daily and weekly challenges which can be completed for extra rewards that you wouldn’t usually be able to get through playing single player mode.

Pastry Paradise Tips & Cheats

There are a variety of different tips and tricks which will make your gaming experience with pastry paradise even easier.

To play the levels, you will require hearts, if you find your heart level completely exhausted, connecting to Facebook and asking friends never fails, you can be pretty much guaranteed that at least one of your friends will be playing whatever game you are also playing. Even if they don’t get back to you right away, you will end up having extra hearts for the next time you find yourself out of them. if you’re that desperate for more hearts, you can always do the clock change trick to fast forward time and come back to a full meter of hearts.

When in doubt, try to make a rainbow cake, if you can, make two rainbow cakes and swap them with each other because the special power of the rainbow cake will wipe all of the pasties off the board.

Always try to make sure you get all three stars, if you can’t get it the first time, keep trying, because a three star rating will give you a prize which you really should miss out on as they are a great source of extra money. To find out specifically how many point you’ll need in that specific level, you can tap the star gauge to see how many points are needed for each star. The more stars you gain, you get to unlock more new regions and bakeries.

Even if you aren’t one of those committed casual gamers who will play their games every day, try to check at least one per day as even just visiting for less than two minutes, daily, will give you a prize. Again, the clock trick can be used to take advantage of this too, just forward your clock ahead by a day and you’ll find that you’re able to get a daily reward for visiting.

If you find yourself really struggling, don’t worry, because there are free hacks available out there if you feel like you are really stuck then this is definitely a choice to be considered. When in doubt, hacking is the way!

Pastry Paradise Review

Pastry Paradise easily attracts your attention with its consistently colorful graphics and artwork. The game seems to be aimed at a younger audience, which is great because there never seems to be enough challenging, yet safe games for kids. The game is a fun little time killer and doesn’t really require that much attention. If you’re a big fan of match three type games and are really bored of Candy crush, Pastry Paradise is definitely a great place to pick your love of match threes back up.

Sadly, the interest pretty much stops there. This game has a complete lack of innovation, there isn’t anything particularly memorable about the game, the characters are bland, as is the story. The game really doesn’t even try to take advantage of everything it could possibly offer to players and totally screws people over. This game is just Gameloft trying to jump on the match three popularity bandwagon and it just makes them end up looking like a sad little lost sheep. The game has so little to offer that it gets very boring and quick. I feel like the only people who could possibly get any long term entertainment out of this game are kids and match three enthusiasts. This game is just a very thinly veiled clone of Candy Crush; it adds nothing new to the genre, in fact it may even be taking away from what draws people to the match three genres in the first place. I feel like it really is not worth your time. if you want to play a match three, go to the original – Bejeweled.

Ratings:

Artwork: I give Pastry Paradise a 7/10 for its artwork. This was one of the very few things I found myself liking about this game. The bright colors and graphics that filled this game were obviously designed to appeal to a younger audience who, as we know, are far more susceptible to the sound of in app purchases.

Music and SFX: I give the game a 6/10 for its music and SFX. The music in this game is a very stereotypical jaunty, near- French tune with the added occasion chatter of bird song in the back ground. it isn’t really anything special but it tries to be, and fails, sadly.

Story and Originality: I give the game a 3/10 for its story and originality. It is obvious that this game does not have a shred of originality to it and is a terribly done clone of more popular match three games. Sorry Gameloft, but you guys aren’t fooling anybody! The story is mediocre, it has potential that could make the game so much more, but it completely fails to rise up to this potential.

General Gameplay: I give the game a 5/10 for its general gameplay. The gameplay is easy enough to get a handle of, if you’ve played every other match three game in existence then you know what you’re doing, because literally everything but the names and artwork is the exact same.

Addictiveness: I give the game a 1/10 for its addictiveness. I honestly felt like this game was a joke. As an adult, there is no way I can see myself becoming addicted to this game, I barely made it past level four before I got so bored with it. I’m more addicted to doing the dishes than playing this game, and let me tell you, I don’t enjoy doing dishes one bit.

Overall I rate Pastry Paradise 4/10.
