Planet Diver guide - How to survive long enough to get the highest scores

Planet Diver is an endless arcade game about diving through planets while dodging lava, killing bats, and collecting Starstuff.

Here are some tips to help you go the distance.

Bumping walls is fine

The main way to move your character in Planet Diver is from side to side. Even though you are trapped in by walls, you should know that moving laterally into them doesn't damage you or slow you down. Instead, you just kind of bump into them and continue on your way.

Just make sure you don't dive into a wall, because that does hurt you.

Use falling objects to your advantage

Now and then, a huge wall of lava or some boulders rain down upon you, threatening to end your dive.

While your first instinct might be to boost away from them as quickly as possible, you might be better served by letting them chase you, as they can help take care of enemies for you.

Kill webs to heal

The tutorial teaches you that killing enemies and collecting Starstuff can heal you, but it doesn't tell you that destroying spider webs can too.

It's generally easier and less dangerous than getting Starstuff or charging into bats.

Be careful what you buy in the store

Planet Diver's items might seem like upgrades, but they're actually more like perks from Fallout in the sense that they providetrade-offs instead of straight-up advantages.

So, before you start spending your Starstuff, make sure you're willing to live with the consequences before going through with it.
