Dino Island Cheats & Tips

Dino Island is a game that practically requires cheats to be playable. I’ve found quite a few cheats and here are the best of them.

There is an oversight in the basic programing of Dino Island that allows you to bypass most of the wait times imposed by the game. So, are you tired of waiting to breed new dinosaurs, hatch dinosaur eggs, or even harvest food? Well it’s simple, just adjust your phones time or date and instantly any breeding, Hatching, or plant growing will complete. This cheat is probably best used later in the game when timers grow quite long.

Probably the largest cheat in Dino Island requires you to reach lvl 22, at that point you can get unlimited money and experience. When you reach lvl 22 you are able to buy an unidentified decoration for 10,000 dollars. Making this purchase assigns you one random decoration. The key to this working is based on the fact that there are a lot of very expensive decorations. So on average making this Purchase will be a net gain in your value. Essentially your buying decorations at a significantly reduced price. The way you make money is be selling the decorations that you just bought. A good example is to buy 40 unidentified boxes for 400k, then open all of them and sell those decorations. Selling these decorations will generate a return on your investment of approximately 2-5 times what you spent on purchasing the decorations. So in the example from earlier you will turn your 400,000 into anywhere from 800,000 to 2 million. This method depends a little on luck. However, I made this purchase about 10 times and in every single situation at least doubled what I had spent. The next best part of this cheat is that you will also earn unlimited experience while making all this money. In Dino Island you earn 1 experience point for every 2 coins you spend on decorations. In my opinion this cheat is needed to play the game.

Dino Island Review

So we’re going to jump right into this review, let me prepare you in advance, this is not going to be pleasant. I’ll start by telling you a little about how the game functions. In Dino Island you must run a theme park where you breed, train, house and care for dinosaurs. While doing so you generate money from visitors, and experience from spending that money. You are responsible for buying dinosaurs, hatching their eggs, and building enclosures for them. In addition to caring for the dinosaurs you must improve upon your park to attract more and higher paying customers in. Sounds cool right? Like a Simcity version of Jurassic Park? Well the idea is great but the execution is one of the worst I’ve ever seen.

I’m gonna start tearing this game apart by describing to you the flaws in its basic theme. Most notably amongst these flaws is the way the game tells you that those scary meat eating dinosaurs have been bred specifically to eat the magic fruit that grows on this island. Hurrah! Now your velociraptors can hangout all day with triceratops and be friends! Uggh. In addition to this problem the majority of the dinosaurs available to you are not dinosaurs! Seriously, they have a stable of creatures with names like king of fish, and sporting cool flaming heads. The games stable of dinosaurs reminds me much more of Pokemon than of Jurassic Park, and not the cool original Charizard type Pokemon but instead the later introduced failures like polygonal Pokemon. Compounding this problem is the fact that the graphics look like they were designed for 3 year olds, and the game is filled with grammatical and spelling errors. In fact if it weren’t for the serious gameplay flaws I’m about to discuss this might actually have been a fun children’s game.

As bad as Dino Island is in it’s theme, grasp of the english language, and art style, it’s just a trainwreck in it’s basic gameplay. The gameplay of Dino Island can be summed up in one word: wait. If you want to buy a dinosaur, then you sit around and wait for it’s egg to incubate. Oh yay, your dinosaur egg is incubated! Let’s hatch that sucker and start feeding him, except now you have to build an enclosure for him and wait for that to complete. Our enclosure just finished lets pop that dinosaur in there and start feeding him so he’ll grow up big and strong! Silly park manager, you can’t feed a dinosaur without the magic fruit! Now you must build a farm, oh and them wait for the crops to mature enough to be harvested. Finally your crops are ready, harvest those tomatoes! Now just sit and wait for another hour until your next field of crops is ready to harvest. What’s that you say? You don’t want to wait an hour to play your game? Well then the simple solution is to spend your real money to complete that harvest sooner.

Finally I’m going to discuss the dino breeding. Just the concept makes me a little nervous, but I can understand that some people like to make their own master race. This game requires you to put two dinosaurs of different breeds together to try to mate them. Afterword one of them disappears! Presumably having been eaten by that vegetarian velociraptor. Then, after waiting, yes again, you get a dinosaur egg! But it might not be a new breed of dinosaur, it might just be a clone of it’s mother or father. So you try again and again all to see if you get lucky.

Basically, this game is a very poorly disguised attempt to take money from young children who shouldn’t have been allowed access to the parents account.

AppGameCheats Ratings

Artwork: I award Escape Action a 4/10 for its artwork. It’s a reasonably well illustrated game, even if I don’t like it’s style.

Music & SFX: I give the game a 2/10. The horrible soundtrack playing in the background made me want to rip off my own ears. Fortunately, I just turned the volume all the way down. Furthermore, when the pinnacle of your SFX is having poorly illustrated money pop out of dinosaur enclosures you have missed the mark.

Story & Originality: I’m giving Dino Island a 1/10. It’s neither original nor has any redeeming story elements. I mean it’s Jurassic Park Pokemon meets sim dating.

General Gameplay: I’m giving the boring click-fest Dino Island a 2/10. The gameplay is so very repetitive and mind-numbingly dull that I actually fell asleep while playing this game.

Addictiveness: I’m giving Dino Island a 0/10 on the addictiveness scale. I just can’t fathom playing this game unless your being held at gunpoint and building the ultimate dino-pokemon theme park is the only way to save your family. Even then, consider how much you actually love your family before starting this process.

Overall, I give Dino Island a 1/10. Basically just because some people are going to be caught up in it’s potential.
