You can freely use all ninety-nine objects to create buildings, statues, or anything else that you would like.

There are several options in the game, which enhances the gameplay. For starters, you can change the time of day, which means that you can set the in-game time to midnight, making your world dark. You can also change it to the afternoon hours, which will allow you to see your whole world. You can also enable or disable clouds, animated water and increase or decrease the draw distance. The last option in Exploration Lite is called Flying, which allows you to fly over your own world. This will allow you to transfer yourself faster over the terrain and allow you to see your world from above.

I had never heard of the game Exploration Lite before, but judging by the screenshots, I expected it to be a game just like Minecraft. I was not disappointed, as I was right. In Exploration Lite, you can create whole worlds, construct whatever you want on them, and remove anything you want. To put it simpler, you are the “God” of the world, and you can mold it however you please. I really like the fact that the graphics and gameplay feel similar to the popular PC game Minecraft, which of course attracts a lot of players. It is nice that there are several types of worlds that you can instantly create and mold afterwards. A very positive aspect about Exploration Lite is that you can change the time, so it will be light or dark in the game world, and you can also fly, if you want a better overview of your world.

I thoroughly enjoyed the fact that the developer of Exploration Lite decided not to implement any kind of advertisement into his game, even though it is the lite version. This makes the game way more enjoyable than it would have been if there were advertisements. Usually, developers of free-to-play games go too far when it comes to implementing advertisements. They place them in very obstructive positions, which simply annoys players and turn them off from the game. It is refreshing to see that there are still developers out there that do not make the same mistakes as many other developers have already made before them.

The first and far worst negative aspect about Exploration Lite is the fact that there is no save button in the game. This means that you cannot save your progress, and you will have to start all over once you close down your game. It is unfortunate to see that the developer of Exploration Lite does not care about all the players losing their progress, which they have probably spend several hours on. Of course, you can purchase the full version of the game, which does have a save button and allows you to save your function, but it doesn’t add anything else to do the game. You do not have any new materials, worlds, game modes or options, which makes the $3,99 price tag very steep in my opinion.

I totally understand it when developers of free-to-play games try to earn an income by releasing a full version of their games, but they should at least add new content and update their games regularly. The developer of Exploration Lite has not done any of these things, other than adding a save button, and this is simply unacceptable.

Exploration Lite Ratings

Artwork: I give Exploration Lite an 8/10 for its artwork. The graphics and animations in Exploration Lite are comparable to the PC version of Minecraft. Of course, Exploration Lite does not have as many features and options implemented into it, but this is not such a big problem since it is a mobile game. I like the fact that the developer of Exploration Lite tried to developer a game similar to Minecraft, because these type of games are very popular, especially among mobile gamers. The graphics are pixelated and pretty decent and there are not many animations, but the fact that you can create new worlds with a push on a button, is very impressive in my opinion.

Music & SFX: I give Exploration Lite a 0/10 for its music and SFX. I cannot rate the music and sound effects of Exploration Lite, because there are none in the game. I suppose the developer of Exploration Lite decided that it would be a better idea to make the game silent all the way through, but in my opinion, he could have at least added some sound effects. Right now, the gameplay is very dull and boring, because of the fact that there are no background soundtracks, SFX when you place blocks or remove blocks or any other kind of SFX. It is a shame, because having at least some kind of music in Exploration Lite would have enhanced the gameplay.

Story & Originality: I give Exploration Lite a 7/10 for its story and originality. There are many Minecraft-like games out on both Google Play Store and iOS App Store, but Exploration Lite is still one of the most popular amongst them. This is due to the fact that the players get a lot of freedom to build whatever they like, or remove whatever they like. If you feel like the world you are in is not good enough, you can generate a new one with a push of a button. There are even different types of worlds that you can create, depending on what you want to construct on them. There is no story in Exploration Lite, and it does not need one at all.

General Gameplay: I give Exploration Lite a 7/10 for general gameplay. There is no tutorial at the beginning of the gameplay, but it is pretty straightforward none the less. It is easy to get used to the controls, which are smooth and responsive. It is nice to see that the user interface in Exploration Lite is clear, which makes it easy to navigate through the different options of the game itself. The gameplay is simple and very entertaining to play if you are the creative type.

Addictiveness: I give Exploration Lite a 5/10 for addictiveness. Fortunately, the developer of Exploration Lite did not implement any kind of energy bars, lives or timers into the game. This gives players the freedom to play Exploration Lite whenever they want, however long they want. Exploration Lite is the free version of the game, which does not have a save function implemented into it. This is very annoying and a lot of players are complaining about it, because they are losing hours of their work for nothing. You can purchase the full version of the game by spending $3,99, but this makes the game feel like a cheap cash grab. This is due to the fact that the developer did not add anything new to the full version of the game, other than the save function that people wanted. The game would be way more addictive, if the developer updated it more often with new worlds, materials and functions.

All things considered, I give Exploration Lite a 5/10.
