About Blackjack!

Honestly, there is not much that a diehard blackjack fan expects from a mobile game such as this, other than a stable and user friendly experience, with gameplay that follows the basics and rules of blackjack perfectly. Still, what if the game offered some new, exciting features? Blackjack! does exactly that, with Tournaments and Clubs as a specialty. But before we cover these extra features, let’s talk about the basic gameplay!

Before you join the game for the first time, you get a curious little gimmick, which is the “Tap for chips” button. This is a big green button that appears on the loading screen and you can keep tapping on it while the game loads, then once it’s finished, it will award you with chips based on how many times you tapped. There is a limit of course, but this somewhat silly feature can be a nice way to get a few extra chips.

Once you are in the game though, you can start betting and rooting for the deals almost immediately. As a new player, you start with 700 chips, and the lowest amount of bet possible is 20 chips, and a double of your bet if you win. After placing the bet, you just let the dealer do her job, and watch as the cards appear, then decide whether you want to “Hold” your current cards and hope that it’s big enough to win, or you might ask to “Hit” and get another card, which will add to the total value of your cards. The goal is obviously to get a higher number than the dealer’s cards, or reach 21, aka blackjack to win instantly. Going above 21 will immediately cause a bust though, which means you lose your bet, or if the dealer busts, then you win no matter the value of your cards.

Blackjack! also has a few saves if things were to turn bad, such as if the dealer starts with an A, you can buy insurance against her having a blackjack. If you do and she gets a blackjack, then you win double your insurance, although your basic bet is lost. Then there is the option to place a sidebet, which will pay out double whenever you hit a blackjack. You can also surrender your cards at any time, and half your original bet will be refunded.

There is also a level up function in the game, and the more you play the more experience points you get. Using bigger bets also awards more experience and boosts leveling speed. There will also be free chip rewards to be redeemed on level 5, level 20 and above. Tournaments also only unlock once you reach level 9, which can be done in 20 minutes with bets of 20 to 350.

That sounds fairly standard so far, but what about these so called Tournaments? Tournaments in Blackjack! are ongoing events, which happen multiple times every minute, hosting 100 players per game. Games start from buyins of 50 chips, but there are games for 100, 500, 1000 and up to 10 million chip buyins. Once enough players register, the game will start and you get dealt cards up to 10 times. You have to play with your buyin and choose your own bets based on that. If you keep winning, you will go up the ranks and see your current ranking among the 100 players. Top 50 to first place will be rewarded with chips and experience points once their 10 hands are finished.

The next somewhat new features is called the Clubs, and every player will be added to it automatically once they reach level 7. You are assigned to a random club at the start, named by the game. You then can see other players assigned to the same club, listed by their overall contribution to the club rating. Contributing can be done by collecting bonuses, purchasing credits with real money, leveling up and winning sidebets. Clubs are then reset every 24 hours, and the top 10 clubs’ players will get chip rewards for their performance.

If basic blackjack, Tournaments and Clubs are not enough for you, then you are in luck! Blackjack! also has slot machines built in, in case players got bored and wanted another way to gamble. There are 10 different machines to play on, including Cleopatra’s Fortune, Fruit Slots, Unicorn Legends, Kitty Glitz and more! Slot machine bets start from 50 chips per spin, and can go up to 3000.

As expected in a casino game, in-app purchases are available, players can spend real money and get chips in exchange. The cheapest option includes 14,000 chips for the price of $1.99, or you can go all the way up to 2 million chips for $99.99. Purchases also add extra club points to your current club, and give you extra login bonus rewards when you start the game each day.

There are also a few ads found inbetween game sessions, advertising the developer’s other games, or asking you to download one of them, but these also offer chip rewards for doing so.

Cheats & Tips for Blackjack!

Regarding cheats for casino games, they will almost always be related to ways to gain more chips. This is no different in Blackjack! either, as you start with a small amount of 700 chips that you have to work your way up with, while even the cheapest in-app purchase will provide 14,000. Instead of asking if that’s fair, utilize a few cheats to get more chips, or just consider the gameplay tips below!

The first and easiest way to get more chips in the game is to reach level 5, by only placing small 20 or 40 chips as bet. With the starting 700 chips, it will last long enough to reach the required level 5, so you can open the first bonus gift, which awards 1000 chips for free. These gifts will be available at later levels as well, giving you even more chips, but it also takes more time to get there!

Another good option is using the “Tap for chips” button when you load into the game, although it will run out of chips for a day pretty fast. But if you have zero in your account, then it will still help. Of course you can also claim daily login rewards, which is around 200 chips or more. With these two each day, you can guarantee a few free chips. Your daily rutin could also contain downloading sponsored apps that the game asks you to, as they will often give you free chips, sometimes over 1400 for a single download!

If these are too casual tips for you, then consider one of the more serious cheats then, one that is a little crazy, but works just fine if you are entirely out of chips. If you are that hopeless, try uninstalling the game, then reinstalling again. This will reset your account, giving you the free 700 chips again, and letting you restart from scrap! You will also lose your level this way though, so be careful and think twice before doing this!

Blackjack! Review

I have played many different versions of blackjack before, so getting into Blackjack! was no difficult or alien either. This seemed to be a pretty basic blackjack game, with an user friendly interface, so I had no worries at all.

blackjack!-cheats-hack-3

The gameplay is pretty much fluid, and I never had any troubles while playing through the first 10 player levels, and winning many chips at the same time. Yet at the same time, menus seemed to be reacting slow to my taps, even though the gameplay never had a single hiccup. It felt like the menu was part of a different, less optimized game, while the gameplay itself was the advertised product. Still, this didn’t stop me from enjoying it.

After reading the user reviews mentioning how the game seems to be cheating, I got curious and wanted to see it for myself. I kept playing until I saw any indication of possible cheats on the game’s part, and there was something that seemed a little fishy. At one time the dealer seemed to get blackjacks pretty often, around 6 deals in a row, but this never repeated exactly afterwards. Then at other times I seemed to get too many blackjacks in a row, so I couldn’t tell if it was just luck or not. Still, my chips stayed over 3000 by using only sensible bets, so there never was a danger of running out of them.

As for the Tournaments and Clubs features, they seemed to be pretty solid parts of the game. Tournaments started multiple times every minute, as there seems to be a high population of players in the game at any given time. The basic gameplay stays the same in this mode, but it feels like there is more at stake, and rivalizing with other players also gave me a new motivation, other than just the fun of playing blackjack.

Other features like the bonus chips at level ups and the slot machines are also a nice touch. Most machines had nice art and an acceptable payout rate, although playing blackjack seemed to be a little more worthwhile in the long run.

In the end, Blackjack! is a pretty good game, which has the fundamentals perfectly set, includes a new mode for 2016, a club system and even slot machines, which was unexpected. There might be weird deals at times, but they can be both negative and positive. So if you just want to enjoy a simple blackjack game with multiplayer aspects, then this might do!

Ratings

Artwork: The artwork of Blackjack! gets a 9/10. As for the game’s visuals, there is barely anything to complain about, really. It has the popular shiny, glowing casino styled fonts and sign, easy to navigate and clear menus. The playfields are also pretty, especially the slot machines.

Music & SFX: The SFX of this title deserves a 5/10. There is no music in the game whatsoever, so I can’t really rate that. The SFX is pretty disappointing as well, as there is barely anything to be heard other than a few button sounds, and a quiet coin cash out for the slot machines. For a casino game that looks this good, sounds should be just as pleasing!

Story & Originality: The originality of the game gets a 6/10. Neither is blackjack or slots unique in any way I can think of. This game doesn’t bring much new to the table either, although the Tournaments mode is a nice touch, but most things stay the same as always.

General Gameplay: I give the general gameplay of Blackjack! an 7/10. For the most part, the game has solid gameplay mechanics, fluid and responsive controls and a pretty fast rate of play is possible for extreme gambling addicts. Tournaments and Clubs are a nice addition, and the extra slot machines are also an entertaining way to pass the time. There are some questionable blackjack deals though, especially when either you or the dealer gets 5 or 6 in a row.

Addictiveness: Addictiveness wise the game gets an 8/10. As most well done casino games, this one also causes serious addiction, whether you are into blackjack or slot machines. There can be a lot of time wasted on this game, even with the small issues it has, that’s for sure!

Overall Score: 7/10.
