MotoHeroz Hack & Cheats for Coins

MotoHeroz is a racing game developed by RedLynx which is a studio of Ubisoft Entertainment, a company known for games such as the Assassin’s Creed Franchise, Far Cry 3 or Just Dance. The game has a rating of 3.8 out of 5 on Google Play Store and 4 and a half stars on Apple’s App Store and it has been downloaded for about 1 million times. It requires an Android version of at least 2.3.3 or, for Apple devices, at least iOS 4.1.

In MotoHeroz you take the role of a monster truck driver that has to race through complex and complicated levels and obtain the best time so he can brag with it at his friends. While racing, this talented driver can look for hidden treasures that will bring him more money to spend on his truck’s upgrades.

There are some real-money purchases implemented in the game. The main currency of the game called Coins is gained by completing levels or discovering treasure chests. However you can buy Coins with real money starting with $1.99 for 200,000 Coins and going up to $29.99 for 45,000,000 Coins. You can also buy a Full Upgrade for any of the monster trucks you unlock with $3.99 each.

MotoHeroz is one of those games that must be linked with a social account in order to play. The main reason for doing so is the fact that half of the game is based on leaderboards and the race timers of friends and random people. You can sign-in with Facebook and/or Google+ but the application won’t post in your behalf (or at least, that’s what they are saying). The mandatory sign-in also assures the player of no data loss. The game also has an average amount of ads, most of them appearing during menus. However, there are a few ads that will pop-up during the gameplay.

Unique Tips & Tricks

You will definitely play each level for at least 10 times so be patient. You need to learn angles, bumps and the race itself before you can score high.

Play the same level until you find the treasure chest. It is very hard to be spotted and then reached but it will grant you a lot of coins. And I mean a lot.

Don’t put your trust into the Blue Ghost. Apparently physics does not apply to it the way it applies to you.

Use the left buttons for balancing or for getting up again. But be careful because they are highly sensitive.

It’s not a shame to use the Back button. Use it when you need to gather momentum or when you spot a secret way that probably leads to the precious treasure chest.

Use the power-ups wisely. Finding a power-up will give you a hint about what is going to happen next. Getting a Spring will mean that you will land with your car’s wheels up or getting an Exhaust System will probably mean that you need to jump somewhere high.

YouTube is your friend. When you will get frustrated and annoyed and you will feel the urge to throw your device away you should probably check YouTube for a walkthrough. You will find all the levels and even the Treasure Chest locations too.

MotoHeroz Review

MotoHeroz is a lot like that monster truck stunt game that everyone played at some point – during boring classes or at work or in spare time. There is nothing phenomenal about it, just a way of passing time when you have nothing better to do. This kind of games was very popular on gaming websites because they were developed in Flash. The second wave of popularity for this kind of games arrived at the beginning of the smartphones era and it seems that they started to rise up in ranks again.
First of all, I like the fact that in MotoHeroz you are not just trying to beat a predefined time but other players because the game is multiplayer oriented. Secondly, even though at some point it will feel repetitive, I think that the developers did a great job with the level designs. They are a bit exaggerated but they keep the player’s adrenaline on a high level. Finally, the last thing I can think of that is good about the game is the fact that there are different types of monster trucks and that each one can be upgraded – it isn’t much but it is better than nothing.
What I don’t like is the fact that the game difficulty is never right. It is almost impossible at first to do anything in the game but after you get used with the car handling you will see that it is fairly easy to play. On the other hand, if you play the One Shot mode, you will realize that the random persons that are playing this game are wizards or something because that’s the only way you can beat their times. There is no extra content that will make the player want to come back to the game and I think that this is one of the main reasons I do not find MotoHeroz interesting. The treasure chests implementation could have been a great addition to the game but they made it way too hard to get them so it is just another failed feature. In the end, I think that the developers should have created a Practice level or something Endless so the players can learn the controls properly.
Overall, MotoHeroz is not a great game and I don’t think that you will have a good experience with it unless you are into this type of games and you don’t have what else to play. Unfortunately, I would not recommend MotoHeroz.

Ratings

Artwork: I give MotoHeroz a rating of 7 out of 10 for its artwork. The game is good-looking and has a modern theme. The monster trucks are designed nicely and they look somehow realistic. The background environment is not the best I’ve ever heard but it feels lively (even though it isn’t) and that’s good I guess. What I like the most about the artwork is the level designs. They came up with a bunch of levels that are defying the law of physics but they are looking great and this is the artwork segment. The only reason I am not giving this game a better rating is because, overall, everything is not that hard to create – there are no last generation effects or graphics and I inevitably must compare the game with others.

Music & SFX: The game gets a rating of 7 out of 10 at this segment. I don’t really think that the music matches the game’s theme but it sounds awesome and provides you an unusual experience – I was really surprised when I first heard it because it is more suited for a war game. However, the tune it is very catchy so it’s compensating the fact that there is not much diversity in terms of music in the game. The sound effects in the game, which unfortunately are few, are average but they do their job so there is nothing to complain about. Overall, MotoHeroz has a strange but nice soundtrack – some developers should research it.

Story/Originality: I give MotoHeroz a rating of 6 out of 10 in this section. As I mentioned before, in the personal review, I’ve seen so many versions and mods of this particular type of game that it is hard for me to research the original creator of the racing-stunt genre. I expected a story but I was let down – there isn’t any. I know that the game is not authentic and not all the additional content in the world would make it so but I would have appreciated if the developers at least would have tried more (or make it look like they were) – a basic storyline implementation is not impossible and it can bring any game a nice touch.

General Gameplay: MotorHeroz gets a rating of 6 out of 10 for its general gameplay. Even though the game’s controls are pretty intuitive, the game doesn’t perform great. The controls are a bit shady and they are too sensitive or too unresponsive – there is not a defined balance. You have a starting tutorial but only after you will inevitably join the One Shot mode because you will think you entered in the practice mode or something. The explanations of the tutorials are graphic but very elusive especially when it comes to how power-ups work – I literally had to search on Google how some of them work. In terms of playability, the game looks decent – I encountered a few small bugs but nothing game-breaking and MotorHeroZ does not freeze at all.

Addictiveness: I give MotoHeroz a rating of 6 out of 10 at this segment. I honestly believe that you must be a very big fan of MotoHeroz in order to spend more than a few hours in the game. There is nothing about it that even remotely tries to make the player to keep playing. That pseudo multiplayer implementation with ghost racers is an interesting idea but not good enough because at this point it is very hard to beat any contender because of their exaggerated scores. I think that they should have implemented a seasonal ladder or something for more flexibility. Besides the One Shot mode, there is a career mode that looks good but it is very hard so everyone will probably lose interest quickly. Also, the hunting for treasure chests without using tutorials or walkthrough is too troublesome to even bother. There are no daily quests and the feeling of progression is almost non-existent. Unfortunately, MotoHeroz is not addictive at all and it doesn’t seem that this will change for the time being.

Overall, MotoHeroz has a rating of 6.4 out of 10. The only thing that saves this game is the fact that it’s looking good. Everything else is below average.
