Flappy Nyan Cheats & Hack for High Score – New Cheats Available

There are a lot of ridiculous things in the internet’s history, but two well known ones are definitely the craze behind Nyan Cat and Flappy Bird. Well, what could be more successful as a mobile game than combining the two and creating an addicting mixture of both? Flappy Nyan, as it’s name suggests, does exactly this!

Flappy Nyan is an endless, one button type of game, in the spirit of the original Flappy Bird, which started the crazy addiction of people for these kind of games. The game is released by the developer isTom Games, who is the mastermind behind the Nyan Cat series, including titles like Nyan Cat: Lost in Space and Nyan Cat: Jump! They have also created other successful games such as Impossible Draw or Mad Bullets.

Flappy Nyan has a rating of 4.5/5 stars on the Google Play Store, while also being rated at 4.5/5 stars on the Apple App Store. Players definitely seem to be enjoying this game and being hooked on it, but does the game deserve this attention? That’s what we are about to find out!

Flappy Nyan is a game that doesn’t try to cover it’s tracks in any way, instead it shouts out both in its name and design that it’s about to ride the fame of Flappy Bird, while using the Nyan Cat theme as backing.

When you first reach the menu of the game, you will be met with the well known Nyan Cat flying through space, although with a futuristic city background. The gameplay is exactly as you would expect: When you start the game, you get a score counter at the top of the screen, which will then show how many tubes did you successfully dodge while flying in front of the various backgrounds.

Controlling Nyan Cat is done by tapping on the screen, exactly as it would be expected. Releasing your finger will cause her to drop down and fail the run, as will hitting any of the tubes, so repeated tapping is required to keep her in the air. When you do fail, you get rated by funny looking cats, as if they were the judges, but these are not real ratings. Real ratings are found on the ingame leaderboards.

Well, this sounds very similar to all the Flappy clone games so far, but what sets Flappy Nyan apart from them? One of the things that’s definitely interesting and can keep the gameplay more fresh is the various themes each run can have. There are 12 different themes overall in the game, of which you will be assigned a random one each time you start a new run. These can vary anywhere from space to a japanese garden, a ball pit or even a volcano. Failing levels also causes the tubes to fall apart, shock Nyan Cat, or even explode and leave all kinds of clutter and effects behind.

There is also an option to play as Tac Nayn, the evil twin of Nyan Cat, who instead of a poptart has a belgian waffle as its body, and is a black furred, red eyed cat. Using this character the game is played backwards. The difficulty doesn’t change though, and the tubes appear the same way as they normally would.

Other than the themes and the option to play as Tac Nayn, the game also has skins to use for the normal Nyan Cat run. There are 80 different skins available, and most of them can be used immediately, while some need you to reach a specific score number to unlock. These unlocks include things like Grumpy Cat, Nyancorn and even USA Nyan.

The game doesn’t have any in-app purchases, but it does have a lot of ads. These ads are shown after almost every failed run, which happens often in this type of game, while the top of the main menu also has a constantly shown ad line.

Flappy Nyan Cheats & Tips

It might not be the easiest to find cheats for Flappy Nyan, but I can tell you some small tips, that might help you with your gameplay.

If you would not be familiar with the Flappy Bird type of games, they are played by a single touch. Tapping the screen makes your cat fly upwards for a short time, while not tapping will cause it to fall down. Try to keep to a good tapping pattern to keep your cat in the air, but be on the lookout for tubes, as some of them might put you out of your pattern, if they appear too high or low!

Another good tip you should consider is that each tap will cause the cat to jump the same amount of height upwards, but the size of each fall is decided by you. Sometimes letting the cat fall further down than it seems safe can be a good tactic to avoid the tubes.

Flappy Nyan Review

While I was never really a fan of Flappy Bird or the thousands of clones following it, trying to ride its success, I still was interested in giving a try to Flappy Nyan. The reason behind it was that I always found Nyan Cat to be a funny thing, so giving a go to this game couldn’t hurt, right?

Well, the gameplay is as simple as it gets, just tap the screen and Nyan Cat will jump upwards a little. Continously tapping will keep him in the air, while I have to avoid the tubes to get a highscore. It’s not an easy game, don’t get me wrong though. It’s definitely meant to be as fustrating as Flappy Bird was, there is no extra mercy added in this one.

I could barely get to 7 points during my gameplay, so I can’t say I mastered the game in the end. Still, the most time consuming thing in the whole game was tapping out of ads. I can’t stress this enough, but this game had so many ads that it really got on my nerves.

The gameplay is truly fun for a while and I could see myself going back to it and playing it for a few minutes while waiting for the bus or something, but the ads just ruin half the fun. There is an ad everytime you fail a level, if something miracle doesn’t happen and the ad gets skipped somehow. In a 5 minutes game session I usually die at least 30 or so times, counting the times it takes to restart the run and tap out of ads, while the runs last 10-15 seconds. This equals to me watching around 30 ads in 5 minutes, which is ridiculous.

Overall, the gameplay is fun, while the unique themes and the skins are also great, but the ads really made me want to not play anymore. If you like Nyan Cat, then give a go to Flappy Nyan, but otherwise it’s nothing that you will feel missing from your life.

Ratings

Artwork: I give the artwork of Flappy Nyan a 8/10. The game is true to the style of the original Nyan Cat, with very clean and easy on the eyes artwork. There is really nothing to complain about here, the game looks great.

Music & SFX: The music of the game deserves an 8/10. The game uses the original Nyan Cat track remixed, but the difference is barely noticeable. It’s either a hit or miss if someone can listen to it for long periods of time or not, but if you downloaded this game, then you probably knew what to expect!

Story & Originality: The story and originality of this game gets a 6/10. A Flappy Bird clone is really not original, but using the Nyan Cat style and having different themes as levels is definitely something a lazy copy wouldn’t have done, so points for that. Other than that, there’s really nothing unexpected here.

General Gameplay: The general gameplay of Flappy Nyan gets a 5/10 from me. While the usual one touch gameplay can be fun for a while, the tremendous amount of ads can be really annoying, especially since after each failure there is one shown, while this game causes you to fail very often. This mixture can make anyone furious after a while. Adding an option to disable ads in some way would be great.

Addictiveness: I give the addictiveness of the game a 5/10. I would really want to say that this game is more addicting than a 5 rating, but I can’t. The ads really ruin the fun in the long run and you will probably feel like it’s not worth the hassle. The game is fun to play thanks to the themes, but it’s not worth the fustration of tapping out of ads every 10 seconds.

Overall Score: 6/10.
