Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Demo Tips & Cheats for Full Version Unlock

Like a normal kid once my childhood too was full of colors and affection for toys and action figures but things went upside down because I saw something which a kid shouldn’t be allowed to see. One day I was surfing TV channels alone, unintended and accidentally I saw a horrible, tormenting, nightmare-spawning doll named Chucky from Child’s Play movie. I stood in front of TV as that vicious doll stabbed and killed a man. From that day I developed a hatred against dolls and every toy that had a face, and even now things aren’t very much different. I hate horror movies and games, it doesn’t matter if it’s based on a doll or ghost, all I know is that I hate them!!

Today, we are back with demo version of “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2” which is a sequel to “Five Nights at Freddy’s”. That teddy’s evil smile in game’s icon was enough to tell me that I might not be the best person to review this game but I went ahead. Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is a survival horror game developed by Scott Cawthon. I was totally new to this series hence I had to do my homework to know what this game is really about. This game takes place in Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, a family restaurant where animatronics would sing and dance to provide entertainment but was closed down (at the end of Five Nights at Freddy’s) due unhygienic condition, customers would find blood and horrible odor because of that they lost customers which meant no more income to cope with the expenses. Animatronics are main adversary of this game. They are robots programmed to satisfy the audience but shows unpredictable behavior after midnight, they roam around the restaurant and kills any human they encounter.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Background Info

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 starts with grand re-opening of the restaurant, this time featuring even more animatronics, eleven as compared to five of previous edition. You’ll take your job as a new night security guard as the previous one, now moved to day time shift, reported suspicious activity of animatronics, trying to get into the security office. Your job is to monitor Freddy Fazbear’s restaurant using security cameras and make sure everything is in its place.

Till now everything might be looking calm and easy but the truth is this game is scary like hell!!!! In this demo you’ll just have to survive one out of five night available in full version, which was good for me. Your night shift starts with an extremely long call from a guy, telling you that animatronics movement is impossible and this hotel should be the safest place on earth because of the advance anti-criminal technology they have used in them but due to some unknown reasons they get up at night and think they are in the wrong room, so they wander around different rooms looking for people which will lead them into your office. He also tells about the ‘minor glitch’ in the programming of these robots which makes them see you as an endoskeleton without his costume on so they will try to fit you up in his suit. The call ends with survival instructions.

Animatronics will try to suit you up maybe because they don’t want you to scare off kids. Fitting shouldn’t hurt much as it’s just a costume in which you’ll never fit, at least till your head is with your body. The building is totally new and different than what they had in the previous game. There aren’t doors in security room which means anyone can walk in and out whenever they want and this time restaurant has a greater budget too that means there won’t be any power shortage issues. To make your survival easy you’re provided with an emergency flashlight, a music box and an empty Freddy Fazbear’s head.

Let’s start with the gameplay. This game is dependent upon few screen presses, you just have to stay in your office and manage everything from there. You’ll have a translucent square In the middle of screen with a battery bar on top left corner. The battery bar represents the remaining battery of your flashlight and you just have to touch inside the square to turn flashlight on and removing finger will turn it off. There is a hallway in front of you and two air vents on each side of the room. Air vents have their own lights but to lit hallway you’ll have to use your flashlight.

You can check which Night you’re on and remaining time of your duty on the top left corner. Your duty will start at 12am and you’ll have to keep yourself alive till 6am. There are two arrows on the bottom of the screen. Pressing the right one will bring up the monitoring system, giving you access to a total of twelve cameras, showing live views of a different places to check the movement of animatronics. Music box is in camera eleven’s room and can be controlled remotely. The arrowed button on the left will bring up empty Freddy Fazbear’s head in front of your face.

If you want to survive then you’ll have to keep those animatronics away from yourself. Most of those innocent robots should be fooled by that Freddy Fazbear’s head, they should consider you as a part of them and leave you alone. There is an animatronic for which that empty head won’t be enough and to keep that one away you’ll have to make sure that the music box never stop. Using that head will restrict all of your movements, you cannot use the flashlight nor can check cameras which also means that you cannot keep the head on and wind the music box at the same time. You can stop animatronics for a while by flashing light on them and it even works through camera for rest of the rooms. Now the question which arises is how you would know when an animatronic is around? The answer is simple, you just have to keep an eye on the hallway using your flashlight and those air vents, and if you spot an animatronic just put that head on and keep the music alive.

If anyhow they come close, they will jump scare and kill you. Once you are dead, you’ll visit death mini-games which are random events that occurs when the player is killed by any of the animatronics. These mini-games resembles with initial video games that human beings saw. You’ll have to complete small tasks in these games and it doesn’t matter if you win or lose you’ll get another jump scare.

After a long time I finally played a game in which there weren’t any powerups or In-app purchases required to get you through the game, at least there wasn’t such thing in demo. This review is based about 1.0.3 version of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Demo which is a mobile port of PC game with the same name. It is available for both Android and iOS devices. Android users needs to be on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) minimum and Apple devices should be on iOS 5.1. There are load of processes going on simultaneously in this game hence requires at least a mid-range device to give you smooth experience.

This demo version didn’t contain any options for sync with Google Play Games or Facebook, I cannot say the same about the full version as I haven’t tried it but you can do it all by yourself by paying $2.99 to purchase full version and check it yourself.

Cheats & Tips for Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Demo

As previously mentioned there aren’t any powerups or boosting material in this game hence there isn’t any need of modified version nor there is any but you can get paid version of this game without actually paying but that’s something which is called piracy and is illegal, and if you are comfortable then you can Google and download it.

This demo version contains just one night and the only tip that you need to survive it is “listen to the caller carefully and do as he says and you’ll not face any difficulty”.

Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 Demo Review

This game is bone chilling and it’s a fact. It was pretty late, somewhere near 3 am when I tried this game for the first time. My heart skipped a beat when I found one of the animatronics in the hallway. As I wasn’t paying attention to what the caller had to say neither there were subtitles or options to rewind/replay his call so I didn’t know about the music box. I was just touching different areas of the screen, interacting with the user interface, waiting for something to happen when suddenly music changed and a freaking animatronic jump scared me, I almost shouted in my room, my heart was trembling  and then I didn’t even open this game for few days.

The gameplay is fantastic, horrifying and not suitable for people with a weak heart. As there is always something missing which stops the game from being perfect and this time the culprit here is the UI. Overall UI wasn’t at all friendly and menu system was extremely lacking. You cannot pause the game, you cannot restart the night and if you pressed mobile’s back button then you’ll have to start the game all the way from the beginning. You cannot move you face freely, there are only two possible points where you can keep your face’s direction. There aren’t any options to have a look around the room nor you can lit anything other than the specific area. That’s not all, there tons of more limitations.

The controls are simple and basically is all about small touches. The guidance which call provides is enough but there should have been subtitles to understand him or option to replay the call. The artwork is decent, the developer used slight vignetting, selective area lighting and a bit desaturated colors to create a look to match the theme. The characters are freakish with “I’ll visit when you’ll be sleeping” expressions on their faces. Artwork isn’t the best that I have seen but it is enough to give users a decent experience. The sound department isn’t detailed but hits all the sweet spots and without it the game would have been dry and lifeless.

I’m never been a fan of horror games and this game intensifies my previous feeling towards this genre. This game has strong gameplay and the ability to scare you without using any blood and gore, the only lacking department is the UI.

Ratings:

Artwork: I’ll give Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 a 7/10 here. As I previously said graphics are set in way to exactly match the theme, but a bit more realistic rendering would have made this game even scarier.

Music and SFX: Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 gets another 7.5/10 here. A good sound selection makes a funny game fun and a scary even more terrifying. Music isn’t much detailed but it does gives you shivering.

General Gameplay: I’ll give this game an 9/10 for the breath taking experience it provides. The gameplay isn’t easy in any sense especially for someone like me. The length of game is short which balances out the difficulty of the game. This game series uses an idea of setting up complete gameplay in a single room which is totally new to me and I liked it.

Story & Originality: I’ll give Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 a 6.5/10 here. The story of Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 is hardly any different than its first part. Although story isn’t required for a good gameplay but they should have tried something different than “we decided to keep the remaining parts of old animatronics because they were cute” to bring this sequel to life.

Addictiveness: Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 gets a 6/10 here. This game isn’t an endless runner nor there’s any scoring system and once you clear a Night your approach towards the same Night changes as game feels easy (when repeating) and loses its value.

Overall I’ll give this game 7.5/10.
