Scuba Dupa Cheats: Tips, Tricks & Strategy Guide

Helmut is on a mission to collect as many pearls as he can! How far can you dive? Scuba Dupa is an endless runner – or should I say diver – game that is simple and fun to play. We’ll help you take the plunge with our Scuba Dupa cheats, tips and tricks strategy guide.

1. Change the controls to your liking!

By default, you control Helmut by tilting your iDevice left and right. If this works for you, great, but if you’re like me and prefer touch controls, you can change it. Tap the settings button at the top left on the main menu to access the options. I personally think touch controls are better since they give you much more precision than tilt controls, but choose whatever works best for you.

2. Slow and steady movements!

If you’re using tilt controls, be gentle with your device and tilt slowly. Crazy movement will most likely swerve you into the wall! Same thing goes for touch controls; tap lightly and precisely for careful movement. The underwater tunnels are narrow so you need to be exact.

3. Memorization slightly helps!

Like other endless runners, the layout of the underwater tunnels is slightly varied every time you play, but the variation doesn’t seem to be too drastic. There are always segments that you’ll see almost every run, such as the green pipe maze, and these segments are usually the same. It helps to keep some of these parts memorized so you know what’s coming up.

4. Buy some power ups to help out!

After a couple runs, you’ll unlock the item shop, where you can buy costumes and power ups in exchange for pearls. Hit helmets allow you to take an extra hit before you go down, Shrinkers decrease Helmut’s size, and the Pearl Magnet attracts pearls to you. The downside to this is that you need to be premium in order to buy these power ups. Fear not though, because sometimes the game will throw an advertisement at you. If you watch the whole thing, you’ll be rewarded with an item sometimes. This is the only other way to get power ups besides outright buying them!

5. Be precise, be speedy, but don’t be afraid to take a break!

Much like Flappy Bird, this game is somewhat challenging as the tiniest nick will send Helmut to his doom. Practice your movements so that you’re quick and precise. This takes a lot of concentration, so if you need to play a different game for a while and come back to Scuba Dupa later.
