Fashion Story by Team Lava is a mobile time management game that puts us in the shoes of a fashion store manager. And since this sounds complicated (and it is!) I am here to share with you some Fashion Story tips and tricks to help you better run your store, make sure you never run our of customers and, at the same time, that you get the most from this game.
So if you feel that your progress isn’t satisfactory enough, read these Fashion Story tips & tricks for the Android version of the game (although I am sure they can be used for any version) and have fun!
1. Keep your customers happy
Happy customers (aka earning hearts) is the only way to run a successful Fashion Story shop. In order to keep your customers happy, there are some things to consider: make sure that you always have something on sale, otherwise they will be disappointed. Also, make sure that you have enough changing cabins and clerks to deal with them. Finally, to have them stay longer and not leave immediately, use mirrors: place them near the tables and voila! You have more happy customers and more hearts!
2. How to move clocks and wall mirrors
You probably have a hard time with this, right? Well, just store them and then get them from the inventory and place them wherever you want them to be!
3. Decorations not so important
OK, they look nice, but actually decorations have no impact on sales or customers’ sales. So until you expand a lot and have a lot of free space, try to keep them at a minimum and the racks, tables and other things directly related to the store to a maximum!
4. Complete Challenges
These not only reward you with cool rewards for simply doing things you’d otherwise do anyway, but they also make the game more fun and help you learn everything about how the things work in Fashion Story!
5. Don’t Block the Door
If you block the door, customers won’t enter your store and therefore they can’t get broken hearted for the lack of products on sale. However, if you spend the night, for example, away from your phone and your items sell out, you will not get broken hearts. So just time things right and as soon as you log in back to the game, you can restock some products and this way it’s much faster for you to earn coins!
6. Don’t let your items expire
Each item has an “expiry” rate, which is the same as the time it requires to be ready. So is an item ready in 1 minute? 1 minute after it is ready, it will expire! Don’t let that happen as expired items earn you nothing and only cost you time and money.
7. Add friends
Unfortunately, Fashion Story is that type of a game that really required you to have some friends in order to expand and get the most of the game. So add some (search the Team Lava forums if you have none playing) and add a few. It’s also good because they can and hopefully will send you some gifts too!
8. How to get FREE Gems
The Gems are the premium currency of the game and as you can imagine, it’s pretty difficult to get them for free. But you can do so by leveling up your clothes – simply keep ordering the same type of item to reach a new level and then you will receive a free gem.
9. What is in the special boxes in Fashion Story
It’s usually a risk to get them as you might find inside something that you don’t really need. For example, in the Magic Box you get new hair style, new dresses and new display stands. The Surprise Box has new coffee table, new sofa and some new dress and shoes, while the Groovy box has bunny sofa, groovy dress, artistic fountain and groovy display. You never know what you will get though, so only buy them if you really are willing to take the risk.
10. Invest in gems
Yes, this means paying real money but if you really want to get ahead and you can’t wait, bu some gems – the more gems, the better value on a per-gem basis, but the more real money you’ll have to get out of your pockets.
11. Plan your orders carefully
As I said, orders do expire so try to plan carefully: make sure that you can always log in before your orders expire. A good strategy is to order 10 hours goodies before you get to sleep, so you have them ready in the morning. Over the day try and adjust until you get the orders that you can restock the most often, having in mind that the ones that are ready faster give you more XP and coins in the long run, but also require you to be a lot more active.
