So, you’ve been slaving away building your Death Star, but feel like you’re progressing at snail’s pace? I guess the Force is not with you! Or Maybe the Skywalkers, Jedis and the Light Side are just so strong that your progress have been supernaturally halted! Or, if you’re a logical and sane person, you could be doing things all wrong and not maximizing profits from your floors and VIPs. Either way, maybe this guide can help you notice things that you’ve never noticed before about the game and improve your efficiency so that you don’t have to buy those pesky little Bux currencies in order to progress further.
Residentials
First of all, all your floors and businesses rely on Bitizens to work (3 of them each to be specific), so you need a lot of them. One way I’ve found particularly useful is to just keep building Residential apartments at the start of the game because that is when it is the easiest and fastest to fill. As you progress later in the game and there are way too many floors, not many of them will want to go to the apartment you just built on the 34th floor. Also, it takes a very long time to actually send them up to the high floors, so the time it takes to get new Bitizens also decreases. So keep building your residential apartments early in the game and fill them up as fast as possible before you build more floors. Trust me, you will thank me for it.
Also, try to keep one slot open in all your residential apartments for special visitors. If a special species visits an apartment that is full, you will not unlock that speicies. Leaving one slot open also helps you find people with higher job stats so that you can kick out those that are low.
Bitizens
I understand that most of us play this game in 2-minute intervals. So as far as time allows, try to take note of your Bitizen’s properties and statistics. Find out what they’re good at and assign them to their appropriate commercial floor. The better they are at what they do, the more coins they earn for you. I know this may seem obvious, but I know a good deal of people who don’t bother checking their Bitizen’s statistics before assigning and then wonder why they are not earning fast enough to build new floors. Do wait for all your stocks to be sold before switching their jobs though.
Also worth taking note of is their dream job. If you find that any one of your Bitizen’s dream job is achievable, please do put them to work on that floor. It makes them very happy, and in turn, makes you a very happy Darth Vader. I know, you can’t see his face through his mask, but I assure you, he is smiling under there.
If you get a Bitizen with a very low score for everything, don’t be sympathetic. Just evict the poor fool and get a new one. He will likely not earn you much, so keeping him only makes you suffer. You don’t get pity points in this game unfortunately.
VIP
Very Important Padawans, no, Very Important People! They have the potential to earn you a lot of money if you play it right. They will buyout every stock you have on a particular floor, so if you don’t have a floor that has all three stocks in sales, save the VIPs until you do. Don’t worry, you can save up to 5 VIPs at any one time. If you have a product that yields a high amount of profit or take a very long time to finish selling, you can also use the VIP there. Whatever gains you the most buck.
Time cheat
I’m not one to condone cheating, but if you don’t mind it, go ahead and set the clock on your phone or tablet to a later time to speed up production and wait times. However, I heard there is a bug that will cause an error when you try to set it back to the right time. Again, I’m not a fan of cheating so I won’t tell you how to work around it, but do a Google search, and you should be able to find it.
I hope the above can help you on your way to glory with the Dark Side. If you are having trouble keeping up after following these steps, it is up to you whether you want to fork out real money for a boost. Have an awesome time with this game!
