Unofficial guide to Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is a complete source of information required for completing the game in one hundred percents. A walkthrough of all missions is the main part of this guide. In descriptions of individual levels a great focus has been placed on playing the game stealthy which is possible thanks to cleverness and using character's gadgets. Additionally, in this guide you will find information about where to complete side quests, harder opponents and secrets. All collectibles (synchronization points, animus data fragments, treasure chests) have been additionally shown in separate chapter which makes it easier to quickly find the ones left behind. On other sites of this guide you will find advices about the difficulty level, how to collect points and a full list of achievements/trophies. Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China is a 2,5D platformer spin-off of a popular series that tells the tale of constant war between templars and assassin order. As the title suggests, this time you go to the XVI age, to China. During the game you control assassin Shao Jun who has been trained by Ezio Auditore himself.
Color markings used in this guide:
Green -this color marks various collectibles found during the game, such as synchronization points, Animus data fragments and treasure chests.
Brown - this color has been used to mark places where various dangers awaits the heroine (traps, hard enemies etc.)

There are three difficulty levels Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China. Two of them are locked at the beginning. When you play the game for the first time you must play on Normal difficulty and complete all main missions on that difficulty setting.
After you complete the game for the first time you unlock two new difficulty levels - Plus level and its harder variation Plus Hard. In both these modes it is possible to use all skills and upgrades achieved during the first playthrough. Main aim of playing in the New Game Plus mode is to achieve new upgrades, available only in that mode. Those modes offer points multiplier as well, which awards you for completing sections of levels with no mistakes. In Plus Hard mode there are additional obstacles - main heroine has a very small health bar and here enemies are more observant.
Summary: Start the game at normal difficulty level, try to gain as much points as possible and unlock many upgrades. After beating the game you should immediately pick the Plus Hard mode, especially if at that point you have many upgrades, know game mechanics very well and you know what dangers await your character.
All actions done when playing Assassin's Creed Chronicles: China are rewarded with points. New points are added after you finish a section. Amount of received points depends on how well you played and how you reacted to enemies.
Points are given in one of three main game styles (it is possible to connect them in a single level or section):
It is best to play based on ghost style and help yourself with two other styles (assassin and brawler) in harder sequences. Whenever you see a single enemy or ones standing far away from each other, try to avoid them or disorient them, this will give you ghost points - such actions are better scored (up to 80 points for section). In case of locations with larger amount of enemies you can try to eliminate them silently one after another, thus gaining assassin points (up to 70 for each section). Use brawler style only when avoiding combat is very hard. In that cases, remember about blocking and avoiding taking damage (including from enemies using ranged weapons).
Important - Don't worry if you make some mistake, for example being caught when you planned to play silently. The game will count your score after the end of a section so before that you can decide upon returning to the last checkpoint and trying again.
Example results screenAfter you complete each section the game shows results from that level. There you will see how much points you achieved and what was the maximum possible point reward. Here are some advices about achieving biggest score:
Important - The amount of points available to achieve depends on difficulty level. On Plus and Plus Hard levels you will be able to accumulate more points from levels you have completed before.

Optional task: You must free Hong Liwei from prison (100 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: This level should be mostly considered as tutorial. You will learn the basis of moving, fighting and remaining hidden, you will also receive most important gadgets and abilities. In the final part of the mission try not to avoid prison exploration linked to the optional task (the same goes for some Animus data fragments).
Place where you must walk through wooden beamWait until Shao Jun releases from the cage and go to the right. Climb the wall and a while further crouch to get through to the other side. Continue your walk to the right. After going through a long tunnel lower yourself down and interact with the knob - it will unlock further passage. Stop near rocks and walk through a narrow wooden beam - you will get to more far away plan. Quickly go to the right - there is a dog nearby and his barking will alarm one of enemies above. Go to the right and jump through the first abyss. After reaching another one, lower yourself down and collect the first Animus data fragment from the lower ledge.
Now you can return up and make a longer jump to the right (you must hold the jump button/key). Climb on the wall, get through the standard set of obstacles. Stop in front of a larger wall. You must climb it as high as it is possible and then press the jump key/button to bounce from the wall and reach the left ledge. This time go to the left end. Jump to another wall, again climb to the top and bounce to the other side. No go to the right and make another jump. DONT leave this place yet. Remain there for a while, turn to the left and jump to the boards marked on the picture above that create ladder. It will allow you to get to the highest ledge where you will find second Animus data fragment.
Return to the previously ignored exit from the hall and go to the right. Hide in the hideout (dark passage). Wait for the first enemy to walk near your character, get out from the hiding and continue walking right (you will receive your first points here). Use the knob and carefully reach another enemy. Hide in another hideout and move as far to the right as possible (while remaining hidden). Wait for another guard to go left and after that leave the hideout. You will soon reach horizontal walls from which you must bounce off.
Climb yourself to the narrow passage. Here you must use whistle to distract the third enemy that is observing further part of the path. Hold the button/key responsible for preparations to use gadget and then modify the reach of whistle option. The circle must reach the guardian, it correct setting has been shown on the picture above. Whistle and quickly go to the right. You must leave this place before the guard returns to his post.
Body of the first killed enemy should be hidden in the hiding placeGet close to another guard, you can "test" silent kills on him. Press one of two possible buttons/keys responsible for killing. Quickly pick up enemy body, walk with it to the right and throw it in the hiding place. A while further you must again whistle to disorientate enemy standing on the higher level. After he turns to the left quickly run in the opposite direction. At the end of the run press the crouch button/key and Shao Jun will slide. You will find Rope Dart here, you can from now use it for silent kills. After enemy dies climb to the ledge, pick up the corpse and hide it in nearby chest. Additionally, you will find Animus data fragment here.
You must aim the enemy so that the Firecrackers serve their purposeGo to the left and jump over abysses. After reaching the bars jump to the hiding place. Move to the left, wait for a guard to stand near the heroin and make a silent attack. Now you can go further to the left and climb on the wall. Use the narrow passage and activate Eagle View for a moment to investigate the route of two guardians. Wait for them to go to the left, quickly get down and reach the hideout. Move maximally to the left. Wait for guardians to walk near you to the right. When it will be safe, walk out of hiding and quickly move to the left. Climb on the wall and bounce from it.
Slightly ahead you will be able to use Firecrackers for the first time. They will be helpful in stunning enemy standing above. In this case, after starting preparations for using gadget you must wait until the guard gets in the circle marking the firecrackers working area. Then, quickly activate them. QUICKLY run to the right, getting away from the road that was observed by the guardian.
Fall down after reaching the right upper wall, it will allow you to avoid talking guardsAgain, you must start climbing. Bounce from successive walls and ignore two guards seen on the way. As long as they're talking they won't see you. Continue the climbing and first get to the highest left balcony, where you will find fourth Animus data fragment. Return to the horizontal wall, drop down and jump to the neighbor wall on the right. Drop down and after you find yourself on the other side of talking guardians go to the right. Walk through the tunnel and wait behind chests for two new enemies to walk to the right. Go behind them and hide in the hiding place. Once again, you must wait, this time for enemies to go to the left. You can continue your walking and use the ammunition chest on the way (it replenishes firecrackers).
Use firecrackers on single enemySoon you will reach a location with three guardians. Wait for two of them to walk to the right and use firecrackers on the single guard standing closes to main character. After he gets stunned get some speed and jump to the right. Quickly get to the hiding place and hide there. Wait for two guards to go left and pass by your assassin. Then leave the hiding and go to the right until you reach a room with the Sword.
Now you must complete a simple tutorial of using melee weapon. It consists of few steps:
After you learn all moves, defeat few enemies - remember to often use block and, depending on what you prefer, use quick or strong attacks. Also, finish every enemy that is weakened.
After reaching the ledge on the further plan, turn left to jump into the prisonUse the knob and when the gate is completely open start a run ended with a slide (crouch button/key). It will let you get through the gate before it closes again. After you find yourself in the prison, start with dropping to the lower ledge where you will find fifth Animus data fragment. Return above and start jumping on the cages hanged above the abyss. Then walk through the wooden beam to get to further plan. Now you must turn left (not right!), it will allow you to get to the cell with Hong Liwei (optional target of this level). After finding the cell activate Eagle View and identify the guardian that has the key (golden aura - he can be found on the right side of the upper prison level).
Move near the edge and you will avoid the guardStart your march to the left. After jumping above the abyss drop down and move in that position. It will allow you to easily avoid a single enemy that patrols the lower level. Climb up and run to the left where you will find last, sixth Animus data fragment. Again lower yourself and use the weird ladder, it will get you to the upper level of the prison. There replenish your fireworks by interacting with ammunition chest.
Guard with a key is the only person you must eliminateYou must plan your next steps well, a lots of precision is required here. Wait for the guard from the right side of the screen (the one that is more far from you) will start walking to the right. When that happens, quickly use firecrackers on the closer enemy (the one under your assassin). After he is stunned, quickly jump above him and go to the right. You must hide in the second hideout you find. Wait for the middle guardian to go to the left and quickly sneak up on the last enemy on the upper level, the one with the key. Kill him and grab his body. Depending on how much time you have, you can quickly return with the corpse to the hiding place or take it to the right.
Kill Gao FengNo matter how you acted after getting the key, now move to the right and jump to the horizontal wall. Get through it maximally to the right and then drop down. Again, go to the left, this time you can free Hong Liwei.
Now you can use the passage on the right which you ignored before (the one near the wooden beam). Interact with the knob and reach the viewpoint where Gao Feng is standing. Sneak up on him and silently kill him from behind.
Important - after completing the level results screen will be shown. Additionally, you will unlock access to Hide Dash ability (quickly run between two neighboring hiding places) and two new gadgets - Throwing Knifes and Noise Darts. They will show in specific fragments of next mission.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must reclaim three assassin scrolls (100 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: Second level is harder, especially at its ending where a good precision is required if you want to avoid larger guard groups (including ones with crossbows). As in the first mission, when you're exploring the cave be careful not to avoid any scrolls needed for completing the side quest.
You must land on the right from two talking guardsGo to the right and start climbing the first wall. Slightly further you will have to get down to lower ledge. Walk right and you will reach synchronization point. Do two things there - activate Eagle Vision and then make a leap of faith to land in a haystack.
Now go to new ladder, don't walk completely to the bottom as guards are standing below. You must land on right from them, so move your analog stick to the right (or press the right direction button) and then press the button/key responsible for letting the ladder go. Go to the right and start a new climbing. On the road use for the first time the jump button/key for bypassing the lacking part of the ladder.
Shao Jun now can jump between hideoutsCarefully walk to the new enemy and hide in the new, bottom type of hiding place. Walk maximally to the right, wait for the guard to go to the left and get out of hiding. Slightly further you will find two talking guards. Hang on the edge, move to the right and reach new hiding place. Get out of cover when enemies will walk to the left. You must reach new ladder.
On the upper ledge, go to the left. Hide in the hiding place and use it to get through the bars. Now, you must use the new ability to quickly jump from one hideout to another. Move the analog stick in direction of second hiding place and press the jump button/key. After you reach the second cover, wait for guard to turn towards the bars before you walk further. Use the ladder to get above. There hold the right wall and get to the one on further plan.
Jump to the right ledge with a secretYou must be careful in this location, if you're spotted, reinforcements will be called. Wait for first guard to walk to the right and then follow him. Hide in the closest lower hiding place. There, move to the right, wait till it is safe and run to the neighbor (upper) hideout. Repeat it with the last (again, lower) hiding spot. Finally, wait for a good moment and jump out of the hiding to run to the right ladder. Quickly leave this place, before you are spotted by second guard.
At the upper level wait for guards to get close to each other and run to new hideout. As before, you must wait for enemies to turn in opposite direction and jump to neighbor hideouts (first lower, then upper). After that, run to the ladder. After climbing to upper platform start with turning around and jumping to the right ledge. There you will find first Animus data fragment.
Return to the left ledge and start climbing - first go to the wall up, then right and finally down. No go right. Here game will give you access to Throwing Knives. Select them from the inventory and start preparing to use the gadget. You must aim at the rope shown on the picture above. After cutting it and lowering the bridge replenish your ammunition and go right.
In next location you must again use the knives. Aim at another rope and lower red chest down. Utilize the fact that guards become interested in destroyed chests and quickly walk to lower level. Here, start with exploring left side where you will find second Animus data fragment. Then, quickly run to the closest hideout. Jump to the near (lower) hideout and, after it is safe, repeat it with third hiding place. Finally, run to the right and start a long climbing combined with bouncing from the walls.
Make few steps to the right and use the closest ladder to reach third Animus data fragment. Now return below and go to the right. Catch the new ladder, but don't walk to its top as that place is watched by two guards. Instead, start moving to the right while still hanging near the edge. Select throwing knifes and from position shown on the picture above throw one of them at the right rope. Large cargo will break near the ladder. Use this distraction to climb up when it becomes safe. Immediately leave this place.
In next location fourth Animus data fragment can be found, you should start by obtaining it. Walk down the ladder and then move to the edge of the lower ledge. Wait for the guard to go right, quickly climb up and go left in order to collect the secret.
After getting the new data fragment, QUICKLY return to the right and jump to nearest hideout. When it will be safe, jump to the middle lower hideout. Use whistle and make sure all three enemies are in its reach (picture above). After completing this action quickly catch lower edge and move to the right. Wait for guards to reach the hideout you used previously, climb up and sneak behind their backs to the right.
In next territory reach the narrow upper passage. A tutorial will start, explaining how to fight enemies with long range weapons. Train few times pushing the block button/key when the line symbolizing bullet flight path change its color to red. After completing the tutorial go to the right. Below you there is a chamber with first treasure chest and it is guarded by a single enemy with crossbow. You should sneak up on him from behind, execute him, plunder the chest and then load the previous check point to keep a "clean record". Distracting the guard would be pretty hard, especially since searching the chest take Shao Jun few seconds.
Go to the right and use the knob to unlock a passage. In next location position yourself near the red bough and move analog stick up (or press up direction button) to use rope and get to further plan. Getting through the new cave is linear and not complicated - jump above abysses, climb the walls and bounce from them. You must reach the upper right ledge and walk through a narrow tunnel.
In next location you will be able to use Noise Dart for the first time. Pick it from the inventory and start preparations for using it. Place the circle on the position shown in picture above - it must be as far to the right from heroin as possible, but at the same time have the guard in its reach. Use the dart and, after the guard walks right, jump to the haystack. Now wait for enemy to walk left and jump from hiding. Now you can climb the right ledge.
Bounce from the tower to land on the right cageJump to the bushes and start moving to the right. Stop whenever a guard is near Shao Jun as he might suspect something. Get to the right ladder and use it to walk down. Enter new bushes, jump to neighbor hideout and, when it will be safe, lower yourself near the edge. Avoid first guard and his two friends, walk to the right and hold to the new red bough to reach further plan. Aim the knife at the new rope and walk through the lowered bridge.
You will reach a larger cavern with various objects both on first and second plan. You should explore this location according to further advices as here you will find, for example, three scrolls from the optional mission task. Remain on the first plan and go right. Start climbing at the large observation tower. Wait for the guard to move to the right, climb up, move to the right and drop down on the ladder. Again, wait, this time for guard to walk left. Again, climb up, turn right and jump to the hanging cage on the right. Once again jump, this time catching the boards on the right.
Be careful as enemies from time to time check the territory above themStart moving on the boards to the right. Don't rush getting to the central part of this territory as two guards patrolling the place below from time to time are looking up. Move on after they walk in different directions. Move as fart to the right as possible and then make a jump to the boards on the right side. As before, move to the right. Wait for the guard to stop checking the cage hanging on the right and after that jump to it.
Climb the cage and make a jump in the direction of neighbor one. Lower yourself on the right side of the cage and then bounce back. Shao Jun should land on the east ledge. Start by taking fifth Animus data fragment from there. Now walk through the tunnel to reach the first of three Assassin scrolls.
Use the noise dart and start climbing on the left sideAfter collecting the scroll return to the left and stop at the spot where you previously obtained the data fragment. Wait for the guard below to go left. Lower yourself, go to the left as well and use the first encountered ladder. Climb the small ledge and wait for the guard to move right. You should distract him with a noise dart, thanks to that he will remain longer on the right side. Return down and quickly go left. Don't rush climbing as the left guardian sometimes looks at that place. Make sure it is safe to climb and only then reach the upper part. Again, climb the left cage on which you have previously jumped.
Location of the second Assassin ScrollGo back until you reach the place where two guards are sometimes looking up. Wait for them to walk away, drop from the edge and quickly find the lower ladder. Go down it and you will find yourself on a small ledge with second Assassin scroll.
Now you must return to the place where you started exploring the massive cave. Make few jumps to the left, again climb the observation tower and avoid the guard with the use of previously learned trick. After few successful jumps you will reach your destination. Notice there are three long wooden beams here. Use them to get to the second plan.
Jump to the ledge with third scrollWalk down the ladder and hide in the closest hideout. Wait for guards to meet and start talking. No go in their direction but when opportunity shows itself, use the lower hiding place. Reach the lower platform. Now start running to the right. You must make a long jump towards the ledge unavailable in any other way. There you will find the third Assassin scroll.
After obtaining the scroll return to the left platform. Climb up and when it will be safe, reach the near ladder. On the left you should see a cage with dog inside and sixth Animus data fragment. Sadly, you can't avoid the cage. So decide whether you want to kill nearby guard and after all is done load previous check point or maybe you prefer to distract him with, for example, noise dart and send him to the right. It will give you more time to hide after obtaining the collectible.
Disorientate two guards at onceNo matter how you acted before, go to the right from the place where you collected the sixth data fragment, use new hideouts on the way. You must reach the new, red ladder. Don't use it to walk down as there is a guard. Use the noise dart to disorientate two nearby guards. After they walk away from you, quickly go down and collect the seventh Animus data fragment on the left. After that, quickly return to the ladder (you can hide in the hiding place on the upper level to be sure).
Wait until situation calms down and again go down the ladder, more or less to the middle. Wait for the guardian under you to turn left and make a jump from the ladder to the right side. You should land in lower hideout. Move to the right, but watch out for second guard which sometimes checks the hideouts. Don't let him see you.
Don't climb up the upper ledge until the guard walks to the leftWhen it is possible, walk out from the hiding, go right and reach the new tunnel. In next location you will see the bird cages for the first time. Don't run near them, instead bypass them by walking slowly (you don't need to sneak up). On the right side of the lower level you should see talking guards and behind them, eighth Animus data fragment. Distracting them would be very hard and risky, so it is best to deal with them and after obtaining the secret load last save. Execute a silent kill on the left guard and quickly remove the other one with your sword. When you attack them, watch out for the archer from upper level, whenever it is necessary avoid his arrows.
After collecting the secret use ladder, but don't walk immediately to the upper ledge as a single guard is walking there. Wait till he walks near the ladder, climb up and walk (don't run!) to the right. Hide in the hideout, wait for the guard to go again to the left and only then use the knob to unlock yourself an exit from the huge cave.
After climbing on the ledge with the guard quickly turn around and jump on the left platformWalk a while to the right and then go to the further plan (open all containers on the way to replenish all supplies). When the guard walks to the right, climb on the right ledge. Carefully walk to the first hiding place (watch out for the bird cage!). Lower yourself and start moving to the right. On the way make two jumps and watch out as guards sometimes look down at this spots.
After reaching the end, climb up to find yourself in a new lower hiding place. Wait for the guard to walk left, go out of hiding and jump to the right ledge. On that ledge, quickly turn around and jump to the left. Make one more jump towards the smaller left platform and stop for a while there.
You must get to the larger ledge and then go right to the secret itemYou must wait for the enemy with crossbow on the left edge of the screen to stop observing the neighbor. Then start acting - jump the left ledge, turn around and jump to the right upper platform (the one with hideout). Stay on that platform and jump to the longer right ledge. Run right, wait for guard below to turn around and jump to the rocky ledge with last, ninth Animus data fragment.
After collecting the secret go back left. Again reach the small platform with the hideout. Wait until it is safe and jump to the upper left ledge. Here you should hide for a while as well.
When guards start their patrols, perform a quick climbingNow you must jump to the higher left ledge, the one with a guard with crossbow. After performing that action quickly hide in the hiding place. Wait for the guard on this ledge to start his patrol and quickly jump to the left horizontal wall. Climb it up and bounce from it. You must reach the hideout on the highest ledge before one of the guards that patrol it starts his walk to the left.
Avoid the first guard when he will be standing near the abyss and reach the larger, middle hideout. Second treasure chest is near it. Plunder it after both guards on this level starts walking in opposite direction.
Last ledge in this territoryAfter looting the chest again hide yourself. Use the hideouts to pass by the second (right) guard. Move to the right and at the end make a long jump to the nearby ledge, which luckily isn't guarded by anyone. Go to the edge of the abyss and make a leap of faith to complete this level.
Important - After completing this level you will receive information about unlocking Under Hang skill that allows you to grab various ceiling elements. You will use this ability in the next mission.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must kill three informants working for Templars (300 points)
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: Port mission is longer than previous ones. Try to explore each locations thoroughly as reaching many secrets and optional targets require you to travel between the first and second plan. Due to the specifics of the ground you will be sneaking up more often as noise can alarm nearby enemies.
You must use the ladder at the ceilingWalk to the right and use the large ladder to reach ship's deck. From now one you must walk on the ground more carefully and use the stealth option (holding the correct button/key) as wooden floor makes noise and enemies will be able to hear you. The same goes for jumping on lower ledges. Always try to drop down near edge and or look for ladders, avoid standard jumps.
Walk under the deck and go right. Wait for the nearest guard to start walking left, go to the bottom and then right. You must reach the knob and unlock yourself a passage to the main deck. Use the ladder on the right and then hold to the part of ceiling (new ability). Use this ability to move to the left and leave the cargo hold of the ship.
Go left to reach first secretClimb the small post and jump to the right. Wait for the right guard to look up and run to get below him. You can easily avoid that enemy by using the fishing nets. Climb at the new ledge and run on the wooden beam on the further plan. In next location hide in the place with bamboo curtain. Move to the right and wait without a move until new guard walks to the left. Now you can go further.
Jump to the right wall. Go down the ladder but don't let go of it as you can use new interactive elements on the ceiling in this location. Use them to move right and stop when you will be exactly above two talking guards. Wait for them to walk away, drop down and after landing on the lowest level quickly hide behind bamboo curtains. Move to the left, wait for guards to start talking again, walk out of hideout. Go to the left and climb the upper ledge where you will find first treasure chest.
Use sneaking to safely get close to enemyAfter plundering the chest go right, under the guards you have previously bypassed. Collect noise darts from the ammunition chest and climb to the upper ledge. Go towards new enemy and use the fact that you can get close to him if you remain in crouching position. Use the first hideout. You must lure enemy to the left so activate the noise dart. Now you can use the right ladder and catch the ceiling. Move to the left to collect first Animus shard.
Let go of the ceiling and hide behind the closest cannon. Wait for the left guard to turn around and quickly move to next cannon. Now you must do two things and time them perfectly - first sneak to the hideout, then use the left ladder to leave lower deck. Important - after using the ladder quickly walk to the left to avoid being detected by the guard you have just avoided.
Bypass the single enemy to reach the second (left) mast with synchronization pointStart climbing on the left mast. As you progress you must rotate around that mast and at the same time avoid the sight of guards located on the left and right side. Wait for the left guard to turn around and quickly start climbing - you can make it slightly faster by pressing the jump button/key. After reaching the top of the mast collect the second Animus shard.
Return down and jump to the left ladder on the main deck. Wait for the left guard to walk away and jump to the closest haystack. Start further actions after the guard again stands on the right edge. Bypass the second mast for now and explore the territory on the left from it. There you will find ammunition box and third Animus shard. After collecting it, climb at the top of the second mast. There you will find synchronization point. Use the Eagle Vision and make a leap of faith which will end with a landing in the haystack. Now you can return to the starting point, near the first mast.
Sneak above the first guardAgain, climb on the first mast. Focus your attention on the right guard - it will be most safe to sneak above him (interactive ladder). Wait for the guard to turn left and then jump on the lower part of the mast. Next enemy is patrolling the territory on the right but you can easily bypass him by catching the nets. After reaching the final part of the right mast jump to the bottom and you will land precisely at the spot where fourth Animus shard can be found.
Lower yourself down and use fishing nets to avoid two last guards. Wait for the one standing at the top to turn left and go to the opposite direction. Now you can position yourself near the edge and make a leap of faith.
Get out of the haystack and run on the wooden beam to first plan. First of three informants that you can kill is nearby. To get him go left and again use the wooden beam that leads to first plan. Go further to the left, jump to the horizontal post and then to left upper ledge. After watching a short cutscene reach the lodge roof and replenish your stock of noise darts.
Walk down and catch the red ladder so that you find yourself exactly above the informant talking with one of guards. Use the noise dart in the way shown on the picture above - it's radius must reach only the left guard and make him walk to the left. Now you must act QUICKLY if you don't want to be found. When the guard walks away execute the informant from above (jump on him). Quickly pick up his body and hide it in nearby chest. After that, return quickly to the upper ledge before the left guard returns to that place.
Important - if you have trouble with time limit then you can, for example, hide the body and then lower down on the right side (near the water) and again use the noise dart. But it is not required to leave this territory while remaining undetected.
Boat with a rope that can be cutNow return to the middle platform on the water, the one with a chest with throwing knife supplies. Use one of knifes on the rope to which the right boat is connected. Notice that the boat has sailed to the first plane. Go there by the wooden platform. Jump to the boat and then to previously unavailable platform. You will find fifth Animus shard.
Again go to the middle platform (you could also cut the new rope, but it is better to keep the knifes supplies for later). This time you can go to the right. Soon you will encounter for the first time enemy with a shield and a tutorial will show that will explain how to fight such enemies. Most important lesson from the tutorial is that to destroy enemy shields strong attack is used.
Move on the net to the left to reach the secretStop after you get to two guards standing near each other. Wait for them to walk away from that spot, jump to the lower ledge and them lower yourself to clutch the fishing nets. Use them to move left and you will reach territory that seemed to be unavailable with enemy that has shield and sixth Animus shard. Get the secret and carefully move back to the right. Don't climb up, instead wait until you can safely jump to successive posts that point out from the water. Aim your actions well as guards sometimes look down. Near the last post you will find seventh Animus shard.
After using the knob move left and wait for the enemy with lantern to resume his normal patrolYou can reach next location in two ways. If you haven't been spotted then you can remain on the first plan and keep going to the right. If you did alarmed guards and was forced to load last save game, then you should be interested in the upper path (the one with a guard). At there, run to the ladder near the bird cage and reach the highest ledge on the further plan. Use the knob and start running and sliding to get under the large cargo.
In next part walk to the lower level and start using new fishing nets near the water. This will allow you to avoid enemy with a lantern (he can lighten the hideouts). Reach another knob that is responsible for controlling the bascule bridge. Interact with the knob and NECESSARILY move to the left as the guard with lantern will come to see this place and he will look around as well. After the situation calms down, return to the knob, climb to the upper ledge and go right.
First reach the secret and then go to the higher levelDrop yourself as soon as you have the chance and use the fishing nets to move right. There are two guards nearby but if you time everything well you should be able to jump between hideouts while remaining undetected. After reaching the third hideout wait for the enemy with crossbow to go left. At first crouch through the right tunnel until you reach the hiding place with dart chest and eight Animus shard. Carefully return to the last hideout and once again wait for the right time. Quickly climb the right wall and jump behind you, aiming at the left upper ledge.
Now you must watch out for enemy with crossbow from the upper level which is consumed by checking the floor you currently are at. Reach the last hideout when he will be looking maximally at the left. Use the ammunition chest and start climbing. Notice that the second informant is nearby. Climb successive nets - first up, then to the right. You should reach the window shown on the picture above which is on the left from the informant. When the informant turns right, jump through the window and go at him. You can't run here (bird cage) but you should be quick enough to execute a silent kill before enemy turns around. Important - if you have trouble with reaching the informant quickly enough, use throwing knife.
After successful assassination you should take interest in ninth Animus shard found on the lower level. All you have to do is wait for the guard to walk left and land near the secret. Drop yourself down at that spot and continue your walk to the right side.
Use the noise dart to lure first guard (the one without lantern) to the leftAfter reaching next location DON'T STAY on the first plan - you would miss various optional activities on your way to main mission target. Instead, use the wooden beam to get to the further plan. Jump to the ship, climb up and quickly reach the first hideout that can be found behind the left guard (you must crouch due to the noisy floor!). Use noise dart to lure the guard to the left and go behind his colleague with lantern. Hide in the second hideout. Wait for the enemy with lantern to move left, jump out of hideout and get to the upper deck.
After you reach the upper deck, Shao Jun will touch the bamboo curtain and thus get attention of new enemy with a lantern. QUICKLY hide in the hideout on the right, shown on the picture above. You must wait for the enemy with lantern to reach that place, check it and walk left. Go behind him, though keep safe distance and watch out for bird cage. Hide in the second hideout and wait for enemy with lantern to again walk right. Now you can use the ladder near the talking enemies.
After finding yourself on another deck jump to the left ledge. Wait for enemy with crossbow to look up, climb on the platform and walk slightly to the left. Lower yourself and start moving to the left. Bypass the guard with crossbow from the back and continue climbing. On the highest deck there is the last informant. Killing him is very easy as you can keep hanging on the edge. All you need to do is wait until he gets close to the assassin.
Jump to the left to reach the second treasure chestAfter executing the informant remain hanging and move down. Let Shao Jun hold to the ladders at the ceiling and use this opportunity to collect tenth Animus shard which you have probably noticed before. Now go right. Reach the viewpoint and perform a leap of faith to leave the ship.
After a successful landing first go to the left from the haystack. Gain some speed and jump towards the badly visible ladder. Climb up and get to second treasure chest which you might have spotted while you were exploring inside of the ship. Return to the right and jump to the interactive edges near the knob. Now go right and then up, reach the buildings with new guard and eleventh Animus shard. Finally, use the knob and walk through the narrow bridge that has resurfaced from the water.
Use the knife to cut new ropeWalk left and again run through the lower beam. But do it only after the left guard (the one with a crossbow) won't be looking at your direction. After reaching the new place jump to first post sticking from the water and use a throwing knife on the rope that holds the boat. Go left and replenish your throwing knifes at the ammunition chest found on the way.
Run through another board and this time go right. Once again you must use throwing knife, cut the red rope with it. Wait for the boat to reach its destination point. Jump on it and then on the post on the right. You must use that post to climb to the top. Wait for the nearby guard to leap behind himself and make a long jump to the right. Quickly get away from enemy to avoid being detected. Soon you will get close to a bridge which you must lift.
Hide near first curtain and wait until you can safely move to closest hideout. Don't rush jumping to the second and third hideout as an enemy with a crossbow is observing from above. You must wait for him to look up (additionally, don't forget about observing the "regular" guards).
Reach the position shown on the picture above, that is the third out of four available hideouts. When it will be possible, quickly reach the red ladder. Walk down it and start walking left. Be careful as guards from upper level sometimes are looking down. There are two secrets nearby - twelfth Animus shard can be collected if you pick the lower beam leading to two different platforms and thirteenth Animus shard will be gained when you walk under the bridge with another beam (it can't be missed as it is the road to mission target).
Climb up the post, jump to the right and continue the climbing. Don't go to the highest ledge until the guard starts walking right. Go behind him and hide behind bamboo curtains. Move right while remaining in hiding. Remember to do it only if there is no one near Shao Jun at that moment. Place yourself as on the picture above and use noise dart (there is an ammunition chest nearby) to lure two enemies to the left. Go to the right.
Use rope dart to reach the bascule bridge mechanismRun through the beam which will lead you to first plan and go left. Here you must walk down the lower ledge and then turn in opposite direction. Place yourself near the wooden construction and use rope dart to reach the platform with a knob. Use the knob to lift the bridge. After that crouch and wait for guards below to return to their normal behavior.
Go right and jump to the post. Now you must wait for the guard on the right to turn left and make a long jump above him. After a successful action drop down to the lower platform near the water. Here you will find last Animus shard. Carefully return above and go right. All that left for you is to climb a large post near the red gate to the fortress and make a final jump to the right.
Important - after completing this level you will receive information about unlocking new Rope Dart to Under Hang skill. It increases your abilities to hang to ceiling elements - from now one you will be able to reach them from distance with the use of rope dart.

General information: Fourth level is shorten than third but has more difficult fragments. Most of all, you should always have a nice supply of gadgets as many of them can help you with avoiding enemies. Thorough level exploration is recommended as well as slaves from the optional task are pretty well "hidden".
Distract the guard, land at the spot where he was standing and reach the secretGo to the right and stop after reaching talking guards. For the first time use the new ability to pull in to interactive ceilings with a rope dart. After reaching the ceiling start moving to the right. Stop moving when you position yourself exactly above the single guard. Use the noise dart to lure him to the right. After he walks away quickly land where he was standing and drop to the lower platform. Walk slightly to the left where you will find first Animus shard. Now go right and jump to neighbor platform near water. Here you will find second Animus shard.
Wait for two new guards to walk left. Climb at the upper ledge and go right. During the walk you will see new secret and first slave on the first plan, but you will be able to reach that location later. For now, climb up the wall on the right and bounce off to the left ledge.
Hold to the ceiling when the guard will look rightDrop down at the edge and start moving left while hanging. Bypass two talking enemies and stop slightly at left from the enemy with a crossbow. Once again, it is a good idea to use noise dart here and convince all enemies to look right. After that, climb at the ledge and quickly make a long jump to the left one. Eliminate a single guard that is standing there. Now go maximally to the left and you will reach first treasure chest. After looting it reach the upper walls.
Now go right. Carefully get close to new enemy (help yourself with curtains). Wait for him to turn around and quickly use rope dart to catch the interactive ceiling. Move to the right and pull up to get above talking guards. Jump to the boards on the right and climb at the ledge with previously mentioned guards.
Walk down at the spot which one of guards was checkingJump to the large horizontal post and wait for new enemy below you to turn left. When that happens, make a long jump to the right and start running immediately after successful landing. Climb a bit and you will reach synchronization point. Use Eagle Vision and make a leap of faith.
After landing hide in the hideout on the right and wait for guards to show. Walk out of hideout after the right guard starts walking to the right. Sneak up behind his back when he will look down. Don't go up yet as at this point you can reach the first slave you have seen before. Wait for enemy with the sword to go left and walk down the ladder at the spot he was checking before. Now open the treasure chest on the right.
Now use the left ladder and, at the way, replenish your supplies of noise darts. Carefully get close to two enemies standing near first slave. Wait for the right guard to walk right and with an interactive edge hang above his friend with a shield (as shown on the picture above). Use the noise dart to lure enemy with a shield to the right. Now quickly jump down and go to the left. Take the third Animus shard and save the slave (moving you analog stick up, holding the upper directional button). AS QUICKLY AS POSSIBLE go back to the right to exit this place before guards will return to their posts.
Important - if you have trouble with running away after freeing the slave then consider killing one of the guards before you start the "rescue operation". You can also use the noise dart again or firecrackers and stun one of the guards for few seconds.
Disorientate the guard so that he stops observing the right ladder for a whileReturn above, specifically to the territory near the haystack in which you have landed after the leap of faith. Now you can start climbing at the right wall. During your journey to the upper ledges watch out for first (of many) wind-bell, you must sneak up under it. On the upper left ledge you can find fourth Animus shard. It is best to assassinate the enemy guarding it and after collecting the secret load last save game.
Again, stop under the guard and use noise dart to encourage him to turn left (you can also stun him with firecrackers). Use this opportunity to jump to the right ladder that he was observing. Walk on the roof to the right and move with rope dart to further plan.
Jump to the left edgesGet close to new enemy with a stick, hold the ladder and climb more or less to half of it. When enemy with a stick turns around you must quickly pull yourself up and then jump to the left edges. Climb the higher ledge and pick up fifth Animus shard.
Walk towards the talking guards and quickly use the rope dart to stick yourself to the ceiling. Wait for enemies to fall out, drop yourself down and follow one of them to the right (watch out for new wind-bell on the way). Don't follow him as far to the right as possible, instead focus on the ledge with enemy that has a stick, it leads to the second slave. Land on that ledge when enemy with a stick will be turned to the left and quickly run right.
Shaft leading to the territory with second slaveDrop down near the edge and walk to the bottom. Second slave will be guarded by two enemies as well, but it is much easier to get to him. Wait for enemies to start looking down and quickly drop down. Start running to the right, slide on the way to avoid hitting the wind-bell. Save the slave (don't worry, guards are never looking at right). Again, wait for a good moment to start running and sliding and leave this place.
Now you must return to the ledge above the one with enemy that has a stick. Wait for the right time and go right (a hiding place is there) while avoiding another ring-bell on the way. Reach the interactive edges and hold to them. Move to the right, the camera will move by 90 degrees.
Use the lower edges and go rightAvoiding further guards might prove difficult. You can use firecrackers on the enemy with a crossbow positioned at the right side or noise dart on the lower enemy. No matter which option you have chosen, reach the edges under the main platforms and start using them to move right. After reaching the last wooden construction you will be forced to start another climbing. This time it is easier, all you need to do is wait for another guard with a crossbow to turn left.
After reaching the upper ledge use the rope dart to hold to the interactive ceiling parts, then climb up to hang above the red edge. Wait for two new guards start their conversation and after that go further. At the first occasion turn left and reach the place with sixth Animus shard.
Last slave is protected by a new guardDon't use the middle window yet, instead pick the right ladder as it leads to the last slave. After reaching it climb through the window to the small balcony. Slave is guarded by only one enemy but it will be hard to avoid him. If you don't want to kill the guard, use the noise dart. Next steps must be done very quickly - jump to the right wall, drop down, release the civilian and return to the upper part of the room before the guard turns back. Now you can leave this place. Return to the previously ignored window and walk through it.
Posts are perfect to hide from enemy forcesGo left and after leaving the building stick to the new interactive edges. The camera will rotate by 90 degrees (this time to the left). Walk through the window and hide behind the post. Further posts might be used as hiding spots and additionally you can move there between their left and right side. Use those posts to avoid two guards, by positioning yourself in a way that they don't see you. After bypassing guards use the left ladder and collect seventh Animus shard.
Return down and walk through the new window. Go to the talking guards and start moving between posts. Enemies won't see you despite the fact you have walked virtually next to them. Walk under the wind-bell and go further to the left.
You must disorientate or stun enemies with crossbowUse the narrow passage at the ceiling, wait for right time to land on the lower level and hide behind one of new posts. Move left and drop down after you get close to talking guards. After leaving the building hold to the edge and reach the place where the game will once again rotate the camera by 90 degrees.
Replenish your ammunition and jump to the balcony on which a single guard is standing. Move left and patiently wait for enemies to look up. Then jump to the long left pipe and use it to ride down before you are spotted. Jump to the small ledge. Before you make further moves, use noise dart or (even better) firecrackers on the upper enemy with a crossbow. Only after that start jumping to further pipes. Stun or disorientate left enemy as well and, when it is safe, quickly move to the upper part of last red pipe. Jump to the left ledge behind you.
Use the post for cover and watch out for new wind-bellsAfter watching a short cutscene reach the upper ledge. Start walking to the right and use sneaking. Hide behind the post, wait for the guard that is patrolling the neighbor to go right and follow him. Again, hide behind a bamboo curtain. Wait for the guard to go left to easily bypass him. Drop down and reach the right ledge. Here you must make use of new interactive edges and make the camera rotate (for the last time) by 90 degrees.
After reaching the new spot start by getting to the lower ledge where you will easily see eighth Animus shard. Return above and go right. From the new cutscene you will learn where Yu Dayong is.
Bypass the last guard from the top and sneak up on Yu Dayong in order to execute himFirst use the middle ladder and then the one on the left wall. With the second one watch out for the sight of a guard with long stick. You can easily bypass him by moving to the right near the ceiling. Use successive edges, they will lead you to large red door from the last cutscene. Here, use the ladder at the ceiling to avoid the last guard. Drop down right from him and quickly go right where you can assassinate the slaver.
Important - after completing this level you will receive information about unlocking new combat abilities. Slide Kill is an attack done when sliding and Jump Kill is a hit done after you jump while running. The game will immediately start a tutorial and will allow you to test both new abilities.

General information: It's one of the shortest missions in the game, to complete it you must safely leave the burning port. This time game doesn't force you to remain hidden. You can kill few (or even more than dozen) guards without worrying about worse score.
An example summary screen after this mission - it's different than the one from standard sequencesImportant - During this mission you don't have to sneak up as you won't receive score for that. Instead of that, you should race with time and try to complete the level as quickly as possible. If you want to gain gold badge, then you must complete the sequence in less than 4 minutes and 20 seconds. Additionally, you can receive achievement/trophy if you manage to complete it in less than 5 minutes and new upgrade if you make it to the end in less than six and a half minute.
To have a nice time you should remember about few important rules:
Eliminate the guards with quick slide killsGo right (try to keep running all the time). Walk through the wooden beam to the further plan and move left. Complete a simple climbing sequence and then move again right. First encountered enemy (and few next ones) should be eliminated with slide kills, a quick execution done while sliding. To do it, you must start running, make a slide and press one of attack buttons/keys when your character will be next to the enemy.
After reaching the fishing nets first climb at the upper ledge and take the first Animus shard. Then use the net to go precisely above the new enemy and kill him by landing on him. Go to the right, notice the new wooden beam which leads to the further plane. Use it and you will reach the second Animus shard.
You must keep running so that the flames won't reach Shao JunKill another guard and start climbing by the fishing nets. After reaching the very top first go to the left where you will find third Animus shard. After that, go to the right. Eliminate successive guards and after reaching the last part of the road jump down to start running to the left.
The moment you land on the lowest ledge flames will show nearby. You must run from the fire, otherwise Shao Jun will die. Go to the right and avoid successive obstacles. Use the wooden beams on the way to move between different plans. Ignore the guard on the left side and keep running. Later in this part try to kill another guard with a perfectly executed slide kill.
Use jump to accelerate the climbing on the burning mastAfter completing the first escaping scene move to the further plan. Keep going to the right and remember about quick executions (you can land on one of enemies after a long jump). Soon you will once more have to avoid flames. Climb up the mast, speed up the process by pressing the jump key/button. Whenever necessary, turn left and right on the mast. After reaching the top pick another Animus shard and make the first long jump to the right. Repeat it few times.
Slightly further on the lower ledge you will notice fifth Animus shard. After collecting it go right and perform a leap of faith to leave the burning ship.
Better, alternative path to the "finish line" includes attacking a single enemy by surpriseKill the enemy standing near the haystack and reach the first plan. Here, you must first go left where you will find sixth Animus shard. After that, go right. Stop at the place where you will see a group of enemies on your right. Sadly, you must get there to receive seventh Animus shard. You can either kill two closest enemies or make a long jump towards the secret.
After obtaining the shard it is best to load previous save game. You don't have to fight enemies as it is better to pick alternative path. Start by landing on a single enemy standing under the upper ledge. After he dies use the wooden beam to reach first plan and start walking to the right.
Quickly move on the ladders to the places where you jumpMove right and jump above burning holes. Soon you will reach the place where you can use rope dart to reach the more further plan. After using that gadget collect the last Animus shard lying on the left.
Go further to the right. Here you will have to run away from the flames for the last time. Go right, quickly catch the ladder on the ceiling, move as far to the left as possible and jump behind you. Repeat it with further ladders, though this time final jump must be made to the right. All that's left is to finish the run to the place where it is possible to perform a leap of faith.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must light on five candles for the fallen assassins (100 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: Sixth level isn't very long and you won't face any very hard fragments when playing it. You should explore all territories thoroughly as you will not only find more than dozen of typical collectibles here, but five candles from the optional task as well.
Cutting the rope will lower the ladderGo right. After reaching the first guard hide in the crowd (it works exactly like regular hideouts) and wait for him to go left so that you safely bypass him. Go further to the right and use the throwing knife on the red rope, it will lower the ladder. Use the ladder and interactive edges on the right side to get inside the building. There you will find first Animus shard.
Remain inside the building and jump towards the right tower. Here you will start climbing to its top. Again, use throwing knifes, this time hitting the line on the wall of the left building. After another ladder rolls out, wait for the guard at the tower to look up before you jump to the ladder. Quickly go left and climb on the roof of the left balcony. Again, wait for the right time and jump to the right tower. Reach the top where you will find synchronization point. After using Eagle Vision perform a leap of faith.
Hide in the crowd and pass the guards near the gateGo further until you find an enemy with gun fire. First explore the lower ledge, first of five candles can be found there. Drop down near the edge, walk right and light the candle (moving the stick up or holding the upper direction button). Now return to upper level, wait for a group of civilians to show and hide in the crowd. After the civilians start moving right, go with them (don't let Shao Jun remind behind them) and thus bypass all enemies guarding the entrance gate to the city.
After reaching the other side of the gate look for the place where you can again drop down to the lower ledge. Wait for two guards to go left and get the second Animus shard found on the lowest ledge. First treasure chest can be found left from that spot. Reaching it is sadly difficult as Shao Jun won't have anywhere to hide. Because of that, it is best to attack enemies by surprise. After killing them and looting the chest load the last save.
Once more, use the throwing knifesReturn up and get close to guards on the right. You must watch out both for enemies patrolling the lower ledge and the guard from the upper ledge which is regularly looking down. Reach the first hideout and wait inside until it will be safe to go right. You must quickly use the throwing knife to roll out the ladder. Quickly use that ladder before you find yourself in sight of the lower guard. Three secrets can be found here. Third Animus shard is on the upper ledge. Fourth Animus shard is slightly further on the right, you can avoid enemies that guard it by moving in hanging position.
After that is done, get to the building on the right from the ladder rolled at the beginning. Here you will find fifth Animus shard. Additionally, in the building you will find second candle to light up.
Climb to the window of the building on the right and walk through the beam that connects neighbor buildingsWalk out through the right window and hold to the new edges. Once again, use throwing knife to roll out the ladder on the right side. Jump to it when it will be no longer observed and move yourself to the window of the right building. Now you can use the upper wooden beam and thus avoid enemies from the lower level and obtain sixth Animus shard. After watching the cutscene that warns you about new enemy type move right and at the end make a long jump. You should catch seventh Animus shard in the air.
Drop down and enter the building on the right where you will find third candle. Before you light it, first complete new tutorial about counterattacks - you must again press the block button/key after you successfully block enemy hit.
You can leave the hideout after the enemy with heightened senses stop looking behind himselfIgnore the upper path as you don't need to use it at all to reach the current mission target. Instead, wait for the guard below to walk right and walk down to the lowest platform (here you will find some ammunition chests). Use the hideout to avoid the guard and then run and slide to bypass the wind-bell. Take the eighth Animus shard and quickly use the new ladder. Above again avoid the wind-bell.
In next location you will face a new type of enemies with heightened senses, Seekers. To avoid being detected you must be away from the yellow circle or, if you have no other choice, follow such guards in crouching position. Enter the closest hideout and wait there for enemies to go right. Don't rush walking behind them as seeker will look behind him quickly after he starts marching. Leave the hideout after he is quite far away. Reach another hideout and wait there for enemies to go again left.
Jump from the ladder to the ledge on the rightHold to the new interactive edges and start climbing up them. You must jump to the upper right ledge, so move the analog stick to the right and press the jump key/button. Go right and climb up the narrow passage on the near wall. Go as far to the right as possible and jump to the lower floor only after one of the guards will go left.
Stay in the hideout, wait for the enemy to go again right and reach the lower level. A tutorial explaining how to use Helix ability will start. After collecting a specific amount of "power-ups" you will be able to help yourself and travel between neighbor hideouts without the need for waiting until enemies turn to other sides. Test this move few times - first activate the ability and them jump to neighbor hideout. This ability will be useful in next mission. After completing the tutorial pick up Animus shard and go to the left ladder.
Walk down the ladder and hide in the lower hideout. Wait until you can go right behind one of guards and walk under the wind-bell. Reach the new lower hideout and jump to the neighbor one when guards will be talking. Next actions must be done with large precision - reach the post shown on the picture above after the right guard starts his patrol. After reaching the post ADDITIONALLY move to its right side. Thanks to that, you won't be spotted by the enemy on the left who will soon start his own patrol.
Wait for the right time to run to the second post and then for moving right (remain behind the right guard). On the way, hide near the lower hideout and when enemy starts his walk left, run in the opposite direction, to tenth Animus shard.
By moving right you will reach the territory with fourth candleReturn to the lower hideout and wait till you will be able to safely use the previously ignored ladder. It will allow you to reach the upper level. There, move right and jump to the closest hole where you will find penultimate Animus shard. Now continue moving right and after a while you will reach unguarded territory with fourth candle.
Unwrapping the ladder will allow you to reach the last candle and chestAfter lighting up the candle return to the previously bypassed ladder and use it. First go left and you will quickly reach the final Animus shard. After collecting the secret don't leave this spot, instead use throwing knife on the upper rope and then use the ladder. On the ledge above you will find the last candle. Additionally, you will find there second treasure chest as well.
After that, you can walk right. In the final part of the mission you must start running to avoid contact with barrels. During the sprint jump above obstacles or slide under them. Finish the level with a leap of faith.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must murder three personal guards of Wei Bin (200 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: This level has a hard beginning in which a great accuracy is required. You can make it easier to get through thanks to Helix ability. When you get through the mission, make sure to kill Wei Bin bodyguards. Thanks to that, he won't be protected in the final confrontation.
Sneak to the middle post and wait until enemies pass nearbyUse the beam to walk to the further plan and take first Helix Boost. Start climbing up the left wall until you reach the guard with metal shield. Wait until enemies walk left AND until the guard with a shield turns around. After that happens, follow them and hide behind the middle post. Wait for enemies to return to the right side and try to get pass them safely. Quickly use the left ladder and carefully reach the new territory. Here, you should start with using the closest hideout.
In this location you must avoid being detected by two enemies - by a guard below and his friend on the upper ledge. It is best to walk through this territory by using Helix ability. After activating it, you can travel between neighboring curtains. If you don't want to use it, then you must watch out and carefully plan successive moves. Start with jumping into the bushes. Move as far to the left as possible when it is safe. Now use noise dart on the lower guard or firecracker on the one above. No matter how, you must secure a safe passage to the left bushes. After the upper enemy starts checking the bushes on the right, walk out from the left bushes and reach the left ladder.
Start climbing, first up, then to the right. Stop after you reach a balcony and an enemy with a crossbow. Use firecrackers to stun him for few seconds. Now use this opportunity to walk further to the right.
Sneak above the guards before they end their conversationAfter reaching the right side of the building, climb up into the window and replenish your dart ammunition. Two guards are standing on the upper floor. At first they will be talking, use that for your advantage. Quickly get to the ledge on which they are standing, use rope dart to catch the ceiling and move left. After you find yourself on the left from enemies, drop down and jump to another building. Start climbing and after a short while you will reach synchronization point. Activate Eagle Vision and perform a leap of faith. After the jump, walk out of haystack and use the new passage leading to further plan.
Important - If you weren't quick enough to sneak above last two enemies, then think about using firecrackers when they are near each other. Using noise darts would be much more risky as, in alarmed state, they would check the ceiling much more often.
First bodyguard of Wei Bin can be easily surprisedIn this territory you can find first of three personal bodyguards of Wei Bin. Assassinating him will be very easy - you must hang on the edge, wait for enemy to get close and press the silent kill button/key. After you finish eliminating him, climb on the ledge, go left and take another Helix Boost.
Now you can return down and walk to the left. Use interactive edges to reach the corridor patrolled by few enemies. First, wait for the guard with heightened senses to go left and quickly take first Animus shard on the right. Return outside and go away from the window. Now plan your further steps carefully.
You should stop for a moment at the middle windowWalk again through the window when enemy with heightened senses will go to the left. Remember to avoid getting inside the yellow circle surrounding him or, if you did found yourself inside it, sneak up instead of walking. Go to the left and keep small distance from the "elite guard". It will allow you to walk through a new window before Shao Jun is spotted by regular enemy standing slightly ahead.
After getting outside, quickly move to another (third) window. Don't walk through it yet, instead wait. Focus your attention on the left enemy with heightened senses. Start acting when he stops observing the window on the left from your current position. Reach that window and follow the elite enemy. As before, you must jump through the next window before you are spotted by the guard on the left. Last part is very easy - move to the left and reach the upper ledge with a new group of enemies.
Second Wei Bin's bodyguard should be attacked from aboveHide in the hideout on the right and, when the time is right, run to the left one. Move as far to the left as possible and wait for guards to end their conversation. Stun the left guard (the one that remained on his position) with firecrackers. QUICKLY walk out of hiding and lower yourself at the edge. You must do it before the guard on the right turns around.
Move left. On the upper ledge you will see two enemies. Left one is one of Wei Bin's bodyguards. Wait for enemies to walk left, quickly climb on the ledge and use rope dart to reach the ladder on the ceiling. Move to the left until you are precisely above the bodyguard. Wait until his friend goes to the right and perform an attack from above. After the assassination pick the second Animus shard, get back on the ceiling and move right. Try to leave this territory before the remaining guard is alarmed by the death of his companion. You can make it easier by stunning the second enemy with firecrackers.
Use hideouts and interactive edges on the outside walls to avoid enemiesReturn to interactive edges under the ledge with murdered bodyguard. Walk left to new territory. Use ammunition chest and get to the upper ledge for Helix Boost. Ignore the knob and walk through the window. Go to the left window and wait for guards to start talking. Get close to them, use rope dart and hold to the ceiling. Now reach the third Animus shard on the attic.
After collecting the secret return down and hide in the large hideout on the right side. After guards meet again, jump to the left hideout. As before, you should use rope dart to reach the attic. There you will find new Helix Boost and treasure chest.
Last bodyguard is patrolling the lower levelReturn below, jump through the window and go left. Get close to the last window and use noise dart. It will disorientate the enemy. Wait for him to go right, quickly climb inside and go to the left wall. After you reach it, start climbing. On the lower left ledge you can find third bodyguard. You can easily eliminate him - by backstabbing him or performing a long jump towards him from the upper ledge. After a successful execution you can loot the ammunition chest.
Remain there and search for interactive edges on building wall. Start climbing and reach the top of the tower. There you will find second treasure chest. Loot it and return down by performing a leap of faith.
Avoiding enemies will be easier with Helix abilityWalk out of haystack. Examine the right passage which you previously ignored. Reach a room with two posts and quickly hide behind first of them. Three enemies will show. You can avoid them easily by using Helix ability. Use it to move to the right post without risking being detected. If your Helix bar is depleted, then it will be harder. You must carefully move between left and right sides of posts and help yourself with gadgets (such as noise darts).
Reach the ladder on the right and use it to climb on the upper floor. After you get there, start climbing on the left wall to reach the fourth Animus shard. It is guarded by a single enemy. Use nearby bamboo curtains to bypass the enemy. Remember that you mustn't move behind the curtains when guard is walking nearby.
Disorientate one of enemies with noise dartReturn to the lower right ledge. Jump to the building on the right through open window. Go to the next room on the right side. There you must distract the enemy looking constantly on the left side. It is best to do so with noise darts, but firecrackers will work as well. Quickly go down. You should land on the right side of talking guards. They are blocking access to fifth Animus shard. You should attack them (first one from surprise) and, after collecting the secret, load last checkpoint.
Go to the right and start climbing on a horizontal wall. After reaching the top replenish your ammunition and walk left. Go outside the window and move left to obtain sixth Animus shard. Jump towards interactive edges on the left wall. Move to the left and jump to the lower ledge with seventh Animus shard (you have seen this secret before).
Important - if you have killed three bodyguards of Wei Bin (optional task), then you won't face any enemies near him. Otherwise, they will be guarding him and reaching him will be harder.
Use lower edges to avoid enemy patrolsReach the highest part of the palace. Before you assassinate Wei Bin, you should collect two final secrets. Eighth Animus shard is placed on one of upper ledges on the left. Ninth Animus shard can be found on one of the highest ledges on the right side. In both cases you should help yourself with lower interactive edges. Use hideouts only if it is impossible to move while hanging. You should use noise dart to disorientate at least one enemy in the right part of the palace.
Important - If you have trouble with avoiding enemies you can find final Helix boost on one of lower roofs.
Attack Wei Bin from aboveAfter you collect two final Animus shards you can get close to main enemy. He resides on a highly placed balcony which you can reach from left or right. Walk slightly down the ladder, wait until Wei Bin is precisely below you and press attack key/button.
Important - After completing this level you will receive information about unlocking new Crouch Sprint ability. It is very useful as it allows you to quickly move while crouching.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must destroy the tower (100 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: Main hardship is enemies actively hunting your character in some parts of this level. It will force you to keep more attention to remain undetected. Additionally, you will find locked doors to hideout for the first time - remember that opening them takes few seconds.
Opening door to hideout takes a whileGo to the right. Enemies are walking towards you so you must quickly find a hiding place. Walk towards the closed door leading to hideout and move your analog stick up (or hold the upper directional button) to open it. After enemies run away, continue your walk. You will face few more running groups, so you must regularly hide behind posts and in hideouts. Try to walk forward with small steps. Otherwise you might not be fast enough to hide from enemies.
After you reach end of the corridor you can use edge to get to the lower ledge with Helix Boost. You could have collected such power-up before as well by pulling up to the ceiling but it was too risky. Go to the right. In the new building, use rope dart on the ladder at the ceiling. Reach the upper ledge, open ammunition chest and use synchronization point at the right.
Move towards the bridgeDon't walk outside the haystack yet. Wait for guards to disband and after that follow the left one. You should eliminate him to unlock access to first treasure chest. After collecting the loot you can load last checkpoint and walk right. Important - if you don't want to kill the guard (despite the fact you can easily load last save game) you can use noise darts to lure him to the right. However, if you do it you will have not much time to take the scroll from the chest.
Hang on the edge and reach the platform near water. Use ammunition chest and place yourself where you can use rope dart to reach further plan. Continue your walk towards the bridge seen at the background. Run through the beam, use interactive edges and again swing on rope. Finally jump towards nearby platform and carefully climb on the left side of the bridge.
Light the fuse and QUICKLY climb on the top of the towerFor now, two closed gates block the passage through the bridge. This can be solved by destroying the tower on the left. Walk towards the tower and unlock the entrance to it with a spinning-wheel. To destroy the tower you must light the fuse near barrels placed on the lowest level of the construction. It will activate a time limit - you will have 50 seconds to run from the tower. It will be possible only by reaching the top of it (door on the right will close).
Important - There are two collectibles in the tower. You can first collect them. It will allow you to learn the escape path. You can then enter the tower for the second time and this time focus only on completing the optional mission task.
You must reach viewpoint and escape from the tower in 50 secondsUse rope dart on the ceiling and move to the upper left window. There, climb on the right ladder, catch new edges and reach upper ledge. Run through wooden beam. Lower yourself when it is possible and collect first Animus shard. Use new ladder and, after reaching its end perform two jumps towards next edges. Use the ladder at the basis of the balcony to reach the platform.
Use new wooden beam and then go through the left entrance. Here you will find second Animus shard. Take the secret and hang to the ceiling. Climb the highest ledge, take Helix boost and reach the viewpoint on the right. Perform leap of faith before time runs out.
Ladders will allow you to reach new secretsDon't walk outside the haystack yet. Instead, allow alarmed guards to reach destroyed tower. Now you can go to the right, two gates are open. Carefully go to place patrolled by enemy with heightened senses. Before you get close to him, lower yourself on the edge and use ladder leading to the upper part of the bridge. There is a single enemy. Wait until he turns right and sneak behind his back to the left. You will reach third Animus shard.
Return down and focus on enemy with yellow circle around him. You can bypass him by lowering on the edges or by using upper ladders. Stop when you find another ladder leading to upper part of the bridge. Use it and carefully get close to new enemy. On the right you will find second treasure chest. You can reach it by hiding behind posts and in the lower hideout. If it's too hard, you can eliminate the left guard and load last checkpoint after opening the chest.
You can sneak up under or above dog cagesNo matter what you did at the second treasure chest, return to the lower (main) part of the bridge and walk right. Bypass the dog cage in next location by using lower ledges. Under the bridge you can notice a ledge on the water with fourth Animus shard. Lower yourself and land on guard protecting it. After collecting the secret, as always, load last checkpoint.
Pass the dog cages either by using lower ledges or through the ladder at ceiling. In both cases you must reach new, final ladder leading to the upper part of the bridge. Ignore the knob (both gates are raised already) and bypass the guard in usual way. Walk to the right where you will find fifth Animus shard.
Return near the dog cages. Start lowering yourself until you get under the bridge. When you reach the place shown on the picture above, use throwing knife to cut the line. A boat tied to it will change its position. Land on it, then jump to the edges on the right. Go right, collect Helix Boost on your way. Jump to the post sticking from the water and then to the right ledge.
Notice there is an entrance to sewers. Start exploring it by collecting sixth Animus shard. Go to the right side and crouch whenever it is necessary. Soon you will reach two exits from the sewers. Choose the left one.
Hide in the crowd to bypass enemies at the gateWalk out of sewers and hide in the crowd. Once again you must use the crowd to bypass enemies at the entry gate to the city. Wait for a group of civilians to show near Shao Jun. Join them and together walk right. Wait for guards to look in different sides, get out of hiding and walk slightly to the right. You will find a red ladder leading to a small room in the sewers. Use it and you will find seventh Animus shard.
If you explore the upper floor of the building, you will be able to get one of secretsReturn up and go to the right. Hide between civilians. Watch out not only for enemies patrolling the lower level, but for ones from upper building as well. Sometimes they are looking down. Your current objective is reaching the middle ladder which will allow you to get to the upper floor. Move on the edge as far to the left as possible. Climb through the window when it is safe. Here you will find eighth Animus shard.
Return below and start carefully moving to the right. Territory on the right side of the ladder is patrolled by two enemies. As before, hide in the crowd to avoid being detected. Soon you will reach a new, many-level location.
Important - If you want, you can reach next location from the upper floor of the building (the one where you found last secret). Selection of floor doesn't make any difference. You must explore each of them anyway in order to collect new secrets.
Unlock at least one hideout on the lower levelExploration of the lowest level of the building won't be easy. You must watch out for two enemies from that level and for ones from above (they sometimes look down). Additionally, at first you can't use hideouts. Try to unlock the left hideout as quickly as possible. At first you should reach the end of the lower level. There you can find ninth Animus shard. To get it, you can either hide near the ladder leading to the middle floor or kill the guard on the right and later load checkpoint.
Edges on the right will allow you to reach highest level of the buildingAs mentioned before, there are guards on middle level as well. In their case you have more options to act. In addition to hideouts to unlock, you can hide at the ceiling. You should use the latter only if you have no other options because you can be spotted there. Use it only if you want to move directly above enemy, not when he is walking towards you.
At the middle level, you should first walk left. In a small room connecting this building with the previous one you will find tenth Animus shard. After collecting it, go to the right. If you have trouble with some guards, use noise darts or stun them with firecrackers. You must reach the ladder on the right side of the middle level. When you get to it, start climbing to the highest floor.
When you reach the upper floor, wait for first guard to move left and unlock the closest hideout. After the enemy pass near you, quickly go to the left. Reach the second hideout and unlock it. Now focus on the enemy with heightened senses who is patrolling the left side of this level. Follow him - you should use sneaking and fasten it so that he doesn't walk too far away from you.
Reach the ladder shown on the picture above. Crouch and wait for enemy to walk right. Quickly use the left knob to unlock the exit. After reaching the attic, use ammunition chest and walk right. Run through the rope to the first plan and find eleventh Animus shard on the left. After obtaining the last secret go right and jump through the window to nearby building.
Carefully get close to enemy with heightened sensesAfter regaining control of your character run through the new rope to the further plan. Unlock the closest door and hide in the hideout. You must kill seven enemies that will come to the building. It will be much easier than one could suspect.
Wait for enemies from upper floor to disperse. Follow the left one. As he has heightened senses, you must sneak up to avoid being detected. Kill him. Don't waste time on hiding the body. Now go to the right. Remove the second enemy with heightened senses in similar manner. Finally kill the single enemy looking down. He won't be alarmed by the death of his two colleagues.
You should jump on enemies when it is possibleLower yourself down at the spot where there is a red ladder leading to the lower floor. Wait until guard with a spear shows under the ladder and press the attack button. You will jump on him. Now go right and attack the enemy with a crossbow who is constantly looking down. Another guard is patrolling the right side of this floor - wait for him to go to the right and quickly get close to him.
Now all that is left is a single enemy from the lowest floor. You can wait for him hanging at the ladder or simply walk down and attack him from the back.
Secrets:
Optional task: You must save three Concubines (500 points).
Obtainable upgrades:
General information: Ninth mission is one of longer ones. It has many hard "stealth" fragments. Using Helix ability might prove to be very useful and helpful. Saving Concubines optional task isn't easy as well. They are well guarded, so you must plan all your moves carefully.
Hide behind columns and wait for opportunity to safely reach the edge at the waterAfter performing a leap of faith, get out of haystack and hide behind the closest column. Use nearby columns as a cover and move between them when enemies will observe the water. Remember that columns don't offer full protection. You mustn't find yourself in enemy sight. After you reach the second column, wait for the guard on the right (the one with a shield) to walk right. Go after him and lower yourself at the edge. Now move to the right.
In the next territory you should start by holding to the ceiling and reach Helix boost. Use near edges to reach the upper ledge. Go right and take first Animus shard lying on the ground. If you want, you can use the scaffolding on the right and get another Helix boost. Otherwise, go to the highest ledge. Get close to enemy with the crossbow. Move after he goes right. Climb to the highest ledge and reach first synchronization point.
You can use Helix or use a gadget to disorientate enemyKeep walking to the right. Two enemies guard territory on the right. You should use Helix to jump between curtains undetected. If you don't want to use Helix, then you should use bamboo curtains to get close to the left guard and, after that, lure him away with a noise dart. Reach the right bushes and wait for the second guard to go left.
You're getting close to the room where you can find first Concubine who can be saved. However, first you must get through the highest floor of the building. Wait until guards start talking and jump through the left window. Quickly reach the right window and climb through it. After you avoid guards, quickly go to the right. After reaching the end of the ledge, lower yourself down on the edge.
Attack the enemy guarding first Concubine from the backLower yourself on the edge so that you hold to the ladder on the ceiling. Move as far to the left as possible and wait for enemy with heightened senses to show. After he gets pass you quickly move to the left. Get close to a single enemy guarding a Concubine and kill him (you can hide his corpse, but it is not required). Get close to the woman to save her (upper directional button or moving your stick up).
Don't walk too quickly from the room. Use the fact that curtains are protecting you from detection. Once again, follow the enemy with heightened senses and hold to the ceiling to safely bypass him. After he walks away, you can jump to the lowest ledge and take second Animus shard. Return up and jump through the right balustrade.
Use Helix or CAREFULLY jump between columnsThere is a master (most elite type of enemies) in next location, but you don't need to be afraid of him. It's another territory in which using Helix is VERY helpful in remaining undetected. After activating it all you need to do is jump between columns. If you have used your Helix bar then things get more complicated. In that case, you should most of all focus on placing yourself on the correct side of columns. You can use upper ladders as well, although they don't offer full protection. As for the last enemy (the one with crossbow), walk out of hiding after he starts checking the river.
No matter what tactic you have chosen, you must reach the red ladder on the right. Under the scaffolding you will find first treasure chest. Walk as far to the right as possible (you must crouch), lower yourself on the edge and then move to the left. Open the chest and additionally collect Helix boost.
Don't drop down until one enemy turns aroundReturn to the upper ledge and start climbing. Replenish your throwing knifes supplies and use one of them on the rope visible on the right side. Wait for the wooden beam to create a new passage and use it. Hold to the ceiling and start climbing. Go to the further plan. Go left and carefully get close to the territory with three guards. Get to the lower right ledge where you will find third Animus shard.
Now reach the platform above two enemies with ranged weapons. Jump to the left edge and remain in the hanging position. Wait for one enemy to turn around and quickly lower yourself down. Reach the bottom. Now focus on avoiding enemy positioned further to the right. You can carefully jump between columns, use Helix or disorientate that enemy with a noise dart.
Entrance to the building with secret and Helix boost is in the upper right cornerWalk under the scaffolding with previously mentioned enemy and hide behind a new column. You must avoid being detected by enemy watching through the window of building on the right. Jump to the closest hideout after he starts looking right. When he again starts observing left side, go out of hiding. Reach the right ladder and start climbing. If you want, you can enter the building with enemy. Inside you will find ammunition box, it is optional to get it.
After reaching another large and well guarded territory start with climbing on the highest ledge. It is located left from enemies. It will allow you to enter the building on the right. Inside you will find fourth Animus shard and Helix boost. After that, go to the bottom and hide behind bamboo curtains.
Distracting enemy might help you with reaching new secretIn this location you must carefully move between neighboring curtains. At first you must watch out for left enemy from the upper balcony and for the guard with a spear patrolling the main lower level. While you're going right, you should see fifth Animus shard on one of upper balconies. It is best to reach it from the left. Hang under the ledge with two enemies that have crossbows. Use noise dart to "encourage them" to look left. Then quickly jump behind you and walk through the left bamboo curtain (it is worth mentioning that curtains block enemy sighting radius).
It is best to reach the Concubine after stunning the enemy with a crossbowWindow seen on the right (left from the new enemy with crossbow) leads to the room with second Concubine. Sadly, reaching her won't be easy. You should stun the crossbowman with firecrackers. Then jump to his ledge. Don't climb on it, instead start moving on the edge to the right. You must get behind the enemy. After you succeed, use rope dart on the ladder at the ceiling and start slowly moving to the left. You can safely reach the window by waiting for enemy to look down and by distracting him again (firecrackers are recommended).
Room with the Concubine is guarded by a single enemy. You must climb through the window at correct time so that you will be behind him. Kill him, save the Concubine and return to the window. Once again you must distract enemy with crossbow (if you don't have firecrackers anymore, you can use noise dart). Move right and jump to the bottom where you will find sixth Animus shard.
You should go to the seventh shard after it will be safe to use the ladderBefore you leave the previously described territory, look around for a ladder leading to lower level. Don't use it yet. Wait for one of guards residing below to turn in the opposite direction. Quickly walk to the bottom and use rope dart after you find yourself right from talking guards. It will allow you to get to the place where you will find seventh Animus shard.
Return above and go to the right. Use rope dart in new location on the left wooden construction. After upper enemy turns right climb up and take eighth Animus shard. Return down before you will be spotted. Move as far to the right as possible and get to the interactive ceiling. Climbing on the ledge will allow you to collect ninth Animus shard.
Get close to enemy with a spear and attack him after he turns backReturn to the platform with eighth Animus shard. You must climb on it again and jump to the left ladder. Carefully bypass enemy with a crossbow (by crouching and sneaking). Keep walking, on the way run through the roof and get to the first plan. On right side you will find new synchronization point, so use Eagle Vision and perform a leap of faith. Walk out of haystack and go right. Get to the ceiling from another ledge to collect Helix boost and tenth Animus shard. Slightly further use ammunition box and run to further plan.
Go left and collect eleventh Animus shard. Twelfth Animus shard is on the upper ledge guarded by elite enemy (wait for him to go right). Now use interactive edges to get close to last Concubine (you can collect another Helix boost on the way). After the right guard gets far away from you, carefully lower yourself. Get as close to enemy with a spear as possible (the one that guards Concubine). Wait for enemy to turn around, quickly run to him and kill him. Now you can save Concubine.
Important - If you have trouble with reaching enemy with a spear on time, you can distract or stun him.
Go right and bypass new enemy by hiding behind a column (important - it will turn right after some time!).Reach the right column sticking out from the water and use it to reach higher balcony. Wait for another enemy to go left and quickly go right. Perform a long jump and run to further plan. On the left you will find second treasure chest, it is well hidden. To reach it you must crouch and walk through the tunnel shown on the picture above.
Return to previous location and use throwing knife on the upper rope. It will lower the ladder (and block access to previously looted treasure chest). Climb up, perform a jump to the right and use interactive edges to reach window. Walk through it and collect thirteenth Animus shard. Now you can go right.
Hang on the edge after you get close to waterfallSoon you will reach new territory with enemies. Once again, Helix ability will be of great help. You can use it to jump between curtains without the risk of being detected. If your Helix bar is depleted, then you must get through with regular actions. Be especially careful when you hide behind columns and you are only partially covered.
Wait for enemy with heightened senses to go towards the waterfall and start following him in crouching position. After you reach the waterfall, carefully hang on the edge. Watch out for enemy with a crossbow and move right. When you get behind enemy, climb up and go right. Go to the higher level.
Use firecrackers to stun enemy watching through windowNow you must go left. Wait until enemy with a shield starts checking the lower level and sneak behind his back. A wooden beam leads to the end of the missionDon't go to the main mission target yet. First explore the lower territory. You will find last Animus shard there. To get it, first you must get through two new enemies.
After you obtain last secret you can return to the upper ledge. Jump on the roof of the construction under which you have found the shard. Jump to the left edges and use them to reach upper ledge. Now you must walk through the wooden beam. It will lead you to entrance to Empress' chamber.

Completion requirements and rewards system is similar to one from sequence five. A duel with Qui Ji at the beginning is an addition. After that you must quickly complete the level. It is one of shortest parts of the game. To obtain reward you must finish the sequence in less than 6:30. To get gold, it must be not more than 4:15. Bronze is given at 9:00 minutes. There are five Animus shards to collect. They all are on your path, you won't have to search for them. Some of them are mandatory to obtain.
Observe markers appearing above enemy head - skull means you can perform a finisherSequence start with a battle with "boss", Qui Ji. The duel lacks time limit, it makes it easy if you follow some rules. First, block all enemy attacks - weak hit takes 1,5 synchronization bar, strong 2,5 and counters 0,5. Enemy is blocking all your hits and is performing counterattacks which you can block as well. Remember that during the duel your health doesn't regenerate.
Kill isn't very spectacular...You must hit your opponent five times with a strong attack. Each lamp hanging from the ceiling deals as much damage as a strong hit. You can throw it down with a throwing knife. If you lack them, you can find them in the right corner of the arena. Be careful as fire from lamps deals damage to you as well. Lamp doesn't need to hit the target, it only must fall close enough. If you throw down them all and each of them will hit the target, all that will be left for you is to deal a finishing blow. Lamps can't be used as finisher.
You can hit enemy only after performing a counterattack and throwing him away from you. Immediately walk towards him and perform a strong hit. Don't run to him, in that case the hit will be done from above - it takes more time and enemy will be able to block it. Your gadgets aren't useful in this battle. Throwing knifes deal some damage to your enemy, but it is better to use them on lamps or save them for later. After the battle game will save.
If you want to collect shard you must hurryOnce again you must escape from a territory on fire. After leaving the building escape from the fire by jumping between posts. On fourth one you will find Animus shard. After jumping to the ground, climb on the wall. Walk through the ceiling to other boards on the wall. Use jumping to move on them faster.
Another shard is under the statueAfter jumping to the lower floor you must keep running. Eliminate enemies with a slide or jump kill. Climb on the wall at the end, defeat enemy on the floor (he will come out of smoke). Behind him you will find second Animus shard. Climb up and jump on the lamps to the window on the left side. Climb to the floor above, eliminate crossbowman and jump to the haystack.
Last enemy can be killed in a comboIf you hurry you can kill three successive enemies in a perfect combination. Kill two of them in a slide and jump on the third one (even if he manages to turn towards you, he won't be fast enough to guard himself). Climb higher and use the reel. Jump outside the room. Near the collapsed floor you can take third Animus shard.

Sequence 11 is hardest and longest, penultimate sequence. You will face many enemies of all types. If you want to complete this level as "ghost", you will have to use clever tactics and have great reflexes. In this level you will find many secrets - twelve Animus shards, three synchronization points and four treasure chests. There is an optional task as well - you must eliminate four enemies. You will find them with Eagle Vision - they will be marked with yellow color.
In order to get through first guards, jump between hideoutsYou start in the synchronization point. Jump to the haystack, take the Helix lying on the left. You can bypass two first enemies by jumping between hideouts - you can use Helix to make it easier. Remember that the enemy with yellow circle will see you if you move near him (unless you use Helix).
Further on the right you will find first treasure chest and Mongolian Scout from the optional task. You can easily eliminate him without causing alarm. Wait until he ends talking with the guard, jump down and perform a quick kill. Hide the body in the chest. Hang on the edge, wait for the guard to complete his observation and loot the treasure chest. Hang again and in that position to left. Get to the neighbor wall through a collapsed beam.
Use noise dart or firecrackers on first guard and jump from the post to the tower. You will receive advice to distract two next enemies with a noise dart (yellow color). Do it, aim more or less behind the shooter above. Quickly jump to the boards of the roof. Quickly get to inside to avoid being detected. Wait for the guard below to walk and move to the beam in the middle of the wall of tower.

Leave through the window on the right and jump down to complete another synchronization point.
Go to another tower. Hide behind pillars in the corridor. Now you must act quickly and firmly. Sneak between pillars to two enemies, use firecrackers on the left one, quickly walk out from the pillar and hang on the ceiling. If you managed to do it quickly enough, immediately jump behind the enemy and run to the wall. You can wait at the ceiling for a good moment as well. Walk on the floor.
Hide in the green hiding place and observe the movement of guards. Third Animus shard can be found between talkers. You can collect it by remaining in the hideout, using rope dart on the ceiling for a moment and then hiding behind pillars.
When enemies walk away, jump behind the pillar, wait for the guard on the left to look at the middle and quickly move between pillars to the green hideout on the left. You can use Helix ability to make it easier.
Return to the ceiling after you collect the shardNow, when guards will be talking in the middle, observe the crossbowman above. When he won't be looking, jump on the post, then to the left wall and through the small corridor get to the horizontal corridor. At the bottom you will find fourth Animus shard. Climb on the top and go right. Jump from the tower and walk down the post.
Enter next building. Jump on the wall on the right. Jump on the ceiling when enemy won't be looking there. Use noise dart or firecracker on the crossbowman. Jump down and run to the left side of the room. Walk out through the window. Go to the window on the right when the soldier on the lower level won't be looking. Walk through the window when no one is looking and hide in the hideout. Jump between hideouts when no guard is looking (you can use Helix).
Last enemy on the bridge can be easily avoided. Walk to the edge of the bridge, get down on the beams, move to the other edge of the bridge and climb back up. Don't forget to crouch, otherwise you will make some noise. Use the reel - it will lure enemies. Quickly hide behind the open window on the right and wait for enemies to walk away. In the meantime, collect the Animus shard that can be found there.
When it is safe outside, walk up and turn left. You will find additional ammunition in the small room. Jump below and hide behind chests. Jump through the barricade when the far away guard won't be looking. Hide in the niche and walk down to get Helix boost. Jump on the boards on the wall. Wait for shooter to look someplace else and jump to other boards. When he walks away, climb up and hide behind a pillar.
You will be safe here for a while. When enemy above won't be looking down, you will have two opportunities to sneak to the niche under the spearmen (when he turns his head away). You can use Helix here.
If you want to avoid being detected by enemy above, you must be fastMove on the wall, jump down and use scaffolding to reach the neighbor tower. The last synchronization point can be found on the top of this tower. To reach it, walk out of hiding place, attach to the ceiling and get to the outside boards. When no one is looking jump on the floor and use the boards on the wall. Enter the room through the window (it's safe inside), jump from the beam on the left which is the third synchronization point.
Door is closed, you must go through the atticLeave the haystack, collect the ammunition below and enter the second watchtower. Attach yourself to the ceiling, use the ladder and ride down the wooden post. Jump down to the boards on the wall on the left and get close to the window. By jumping from a post to a post you can reach seventh Animus shard. Return to the wall and, when the guard goes other way, climb on the floor and hide behind the barricade.
Helix ability allows you to bypass enemies without using gadgetsFollow the guard and hide in the hideout. You won't be able to safely jump to next hideout when enemy will bypass you. First you must jump right between hideoutsIt's the last part of the sequence. You must use two reels. Start with the one on the right side of the building. Enter the window and walk crouching to the left where you will take tenth Animus shard. Return and hide behind the pillar. When guard walks through, jump to the hideout, behind the pillar, to the hideout and through the window.

When shooter on the left isn't looking, hide behind a barricade. When you see the enemy above reach the left edge and turns right, throw a noise dart as far behind the shooter as possible. VERY QUICKLY walk up the boards and, instead of hiding behind a pillar, climb through the further boards even higher. Wait there for the enemy to pass, jump down and use the reel on the right.

It's the last sequence in the game. It isn't hard but it might take some time if you play it for the first time. You must quickly get through the wall attacked by enemy forces. Most of the routes is blocked, some platforms collapse under your feats and the fire is spreading everywhere. You won't meet many enemies. Only at the end of the track, where you will meet Zhang Young. He can be killed with a single quiet hit. There are three Animus shards in the sequence - all are well visible from the road. If you observe your surroundings, you will see them. To get gold, you must complete this level in less than 6:10 minutes. Silver is for 8 minutes and bronze for 10 minutes.
Platforms will hang and dropYou start at the Great Wall. Time is of essence so immediately start running right. The wall will explode so jump down the ladder and jump between platforms. Some of them will start breaking.
Fire will chase you in buildingsYou will reach a building. Quickly kill enemies with a slide kill and air kill. You must be faster than the flame that follows you. Get through further parts of the wall and platforms.
Effective wall explosion - if you won't dodge it can be lethalRun until you see some straw in front of you that isn't on fire yet. After a while cannon ball will be thrown at you. It will break the wall under your feet. Time will slow for a moment, you must immediately jump forward and keep running.

You can use the reel, but you don't have to - it will help you lure enemies into a trapSlightly further you will see a reel and three enemies. The reel will allow you to open gate. Two enemies will walk through it. Another reel will allow you to close them, though it is not mandatory. Time is important, so you can only use the reel and jump from the roof to the haystack. From inside you can eliminate the last enemy standing there or sneak behind his back and keep running. Below you can find last Animus shard. It is visible near the haystack.
Now, to make it easier and faster you can walk down from the haystack (collecting the shard on the way) and walk through the collapsed beam. There are three cannons here (you should use first and third one) that can be activated with the up button/key. It will create some distraction. At the end you will find another collapsed beam. Use it to return to the building.
Last enemies can be avoided through the ceilingFirst eliminate the shooter on the left on the ladder. Above you will find two guards. Throw a noise dart under their feet. Walk above them on the ceiling. Behind them you will find Zhang Yong. Kill him and you will end the sequence.
After completing the sequence you gain access to Plus and Hard Plus modes in which you can start new game on higher difficulty level.
Using the synchronization point is mandatoryPOINT 1/1 - First (and only) synchronization point can be found at the beginning of the mission. It cannot be missed as activating the Eagle Vision and making a leap of faith are mandatory to complete the mission.
Climb at the top of the second (left) mast of the Chinese warshipPOINT 1/1 - Synchronization point can be found while exploring the main deck of the Chinese warship. After reaching the main deck ignore the first mast and use it only to jump to the left ladder. Now you must hide in the haystack at the right time and thus avoid a single guard. You will reach the second (left) mast. Climb at its top to reach the synchronization point.
Synchronization point will be found during standard exploration of the mapPOINT 1/1 - Synchronization point can be found at the beginning of the level. You will reach it after walking through the fortress wall and you can't miss it as completing the leap of faith is required for reaching further part of the mission.

First synchronization point at the beginning of the missionPOINT 1/3 - First synchronization point is the one from which you start the task. It cannot be missed. It will unlock a large part of the map.
Second synchronization point on the tower, you will see a red flag near itPOINT 2/3 - Second synchronization point is on the first high tower. You will reach it by using gadgets on enemies and climbing on the outside till you reach the upper window. Walk through the window on the right, synchronize and jump to the haystack.
Third synchronization point on the watchtowerPOINT 3/3 - Last synchronization point is a tower similar to one you reach through the scaffolding. You can reach the top with the synchronization point through the beams under the bridge and boards on the wall.
Fragment is under the wooden ledge to which you make a long jumpFRAGMENT 1/6 - First fragment can be found at the beginning of the level, not far after the dog cage. Jump above the first abyss BUT don't make the second jump further in the room. Instead lower yourself to level below where you will see a secret hidden at the base of wooden construction.
You must reach the highest ledge in the large roomFRAGMENT 2/6 - Second fragment can be found not far from the first one. Reach the large room where you must avoid various obstacles and climb on the horizontal walls. Keep climbing but don't leave the room after you reach exit on the right. Instead turn left and jump to the last vertical wall. It will allow you to get to the highest ledge where the secret can be found.
Reach the ledge with a guard and data fragmentFRAGMENT 3/6 - Third fragment is lying on a ledge with a chest and a guard. It is hard to miss it as this is the place where you must perform an execution on enemy standing near the edge. After successful assassination climb up the ledge and take the treasure.
Fragment is located on a balcony near talking guardsFRAGMENT 4/6 - Fourth fragment can be found on highly located balcony. It is the location where you must bounce from successive horizontal walls and you pass by near two talking guards. After bypassing the guards keep climbing on the left wall and you will reach the balcony with a secret.
Lower yourself to the bottom platform after you reach the prisonFRAGMENT 5/6 - Fifth fragment can be collected quickly after reaching the prison in final part of the level. For now, ignore the hanging cages on the right side, instead lower yourself down after positioning near the edge. It will allow you to reach the ledge with data fragment.
Secret is hidden on the left from the ladderFRAGMENT 6/6 - Sixth fragment is in the prison as well, but on the second plan. It can be gained when you walk to the guard that has the key to Hong Liwei cell. It can be found at the end of the bottom prison level, the one patrolled by a single enemy. You can wait for the guard to go right or eliminate him and after collecting the data fragment load the game.
Fragment is above the second section with brown doorFRAGMENT 1/9 - First fragment can be found at the beginnings of the level, not far after completing two sections with brown doors used for calling backup. After getting away from the second section and climbing the upper ledge, don't continue the climbing, instead turn right. Jump to the right ledge where you will see the secret you seek.
Explore the territory on the left from the place where red chests brakeFRAGMENT 2/9 - Second fragment is found in the location visited after unlocking the throwing knifes. More specifically, in the location where you must throw you knife at the rope that holds the red chests. After you do that and disorientate the guards, go down and explore the left corner where you will find the item you seek.
Climb on the wall to the edge with data fragmentFRAGMENT 3/9 - Third fragment can be found after leaving the location in which the second secret was hidden. You must complete the climbing combined with bouncing from horizontal walls. After reaching the upper part of the map go to the right. Use the nearest ladder reach the small ledge with the secret.
Reaching the secret requires some climbingFRAGMENT 4/9 - Fourth fragment is obtained after collecting the third one. In next room, walk down the ladder and then use the interactive surrounding elements to go near the hideout. Wait for the guard to walk right, quickly climb up and run to the left. Data fragment has been hidden behind rocks, left from the dragger you have just used.
Data fragment is near the Assassin scroll from the side questFRAGMENT 5/9 - Fifth fragment is in the large cave where you will find three Assassin scrolls. You must remain on the first plane and reach the ledge that is most far to the east, while of course avoiding many guards on the way. Data fragment will be found near the tunnel leading to one of scrolls.
Secret is on the left from the dog cageFRAGMENT 6/9 - Sixth fragment is in the large cave as well, though this one will be found when exploring the second plan. It is on the left from the cage in which the dog is held. As his barking will alarm the nearby guard, you can kill him before that or simply load the previous save after collecting the secret.
You must distract the guard in order to secure a safe passage to the secretFRAGMENT 7/9 - Seventh fragment can be obtained not far after collecting the sixth one. You must reach the place with the ladder under which a guard is standing. For example, you can use the noise dart to lure the guard to the right. Then quickly walk down the ladder and run to the left to the secret you seek.
You must take down the guards to reach the secretFRAGMENT 8/9 - Eight fragment can be found after leaving the large cave in which you have found three Assassin Scrolls. When you reach the location with two bird cages, stop. Two talking guards are protecting the secret. You could try to distract them, but it is much better to simply attack them. Perform a silent assassination on the first one, quickly kill his friend with sword and collect the secret before you become targeted by the enemy with a crossbow that stands above. After you succeed, you can load the previous game save.
Be careful as the ledge with the secret is sometimes observed by the guardFRAGMENT 9/9 - Last fragment can be collected when you travel through the last many-level territory (after leaving the main cave). It is located on the ledge placed maximally to the right, above one of guards. You can eliminate that guard (and after that load last save) or go around him, through the large ledge above.
First secret is near the ceiling and it is well visibleSHARD 1/14 - First shard can be collected at the beginning of the level, on the way to main deck of the Chinese warship. You should see it near the ceiling after you miss the single guard standing near one of cannons. You just need to use the ability to move while hanging on the ceiling to easily reach it.
Shard is hidden at the top of middle mast of Chinese shipSHARD 2/14 - Second shard can be found after reaching the main deck of Chinese warship. You must climb at the top of the first (middle) mast while avoiding being detected by guards located on the left and right of the mast.

You must again ignore the central mast on which you have found the second secret and go right. On the way you must avoid being detected by two guards. You must pass by guards to reach the ledge with a chestCHEST 1/2 - First chest can be found at the beginning of the level, on the way to the main deck of Chinese warship. During the ship exploration you should see the chest on lower ledge which seems to be unavailable. Continue your journey to the right until you reach the place with a large hideout with bamboo curtains and two talking guards. You must reach that hideout, wait for guards to start talking again and then go left. After a while you will get to the chest, and inside you will find Scroll 3.
Reach the left ledge after leaving the ship and making a leap of faithCHEST 2/2 - Second chest can be seen for the first time during exploration of the ship with third informant (side mission objective). The game will allow you to reach it later. After leaving the ship and landing in a haystack you will find yourself near a knob. Don't use it, instead turn left and jump to the badly visible ladder. Climb at the new ledge and take Scroll 4 from the chest.

After walking through the first watchtower and defeating a group of enemies on the platforms, you will walk through a collapsed beam. Climb to the top of another platform and go deep, to the building. There you will find the treasure chest.
