This guide will provide you with the fastest and least expensive way to level your Inscription skill up from 1 to 600. The guide is up to date for WoW patch 5.0.5

Inscription is the best combined with Herbalism. This way you can farm all the necessary herbs yourself and save yourself a lot of gold, otherwise you will need either a guild (or friends who are happy to help) or plenty of gold!

You can use Milling to mill 5 identical herbs for 2 - 4 pigments.

•       Ivory Ink / Moonglow Ink - Alabaster Pigment - Peacebloom, Silverleaf, Earthroot

•       Midnight Ink - Dusky Pigment / Verdant Pigment - Mageroyal, Briarthorn, Swiftthistle, Bruiseweed, Stranglekelp

•       Lion's Ink - Golden Pigment / Burnt Pigment - Wild Steelbloom, Grave Moss, Kingsblood, Liferoot

•       Jadefire Ink - Emerald Pigment / Indigo Pigment - Fadeleaf, Goldthorn, Khadgar's Whiskers, Dragon's Teeth

•       Celestial Ink - Violet Pigment / Ruby Pigment - Firebloom, Purple Lotus, Arthas'Tears, Sungrass, Blindweed, Ghost Mushroom, Gromsblood

•       Shimmering Ink - Silvery Pigment / Sapphire Pigment - Golden Sansam, Dreamfoil, Mountain Silversage, Sorrowmoss, Icecap

•       Ethereal Ink - Nether Pigment / Ebon Pigment - Felweed, Ragveil,Terocone, Ancient Lichen, Nightmare Vine, Netherbloom, Mana Thistle, Dreaming Glory
