Guide Zed League of Legends S6

Contempt for the Weak

(Passive): When Zed casts a base attack at an enemy with less than 50% of his HP, he deals additional magic damage equivalent to 6 / 8 / 10% of the max HP of his enemy. The effect will only work on the same target once every 10 seconds.

Tips :

Th purple damage shows the value of the passive's magic damage.

Some magic burst if the target has less than 50% HP.

Some damage as a % of the mx HP
A passive that makes Zed very powerful in the first levels thanks to the damage he can deal. 6/8/10% of the max HP of a target isn't to be ignored, even if it's magic damage!

This will surprise your opponent, especially if he doesn't know Zed well, also it works excellently with the ultimate because it increases the damage of the ultimate if you manage to attack once your target has less than 50% of his HP.

This passive can only be applied to the same target once every 10 seconds, also if your opponent in the lane has less than 50% you should activate the passive and then wait for it to be ready to burst again. You should therefore make sure that your opponent goes below 50% of his HP to do a lot of damage!

This doesn't work on the towers and doesn't change the attack animation.

This makes "last hits" easier, especially under the tower.

The passive used against a champion.

Razor Shuriken (Q)

(Active): Zed and his shadows throw their shurikens, each dealing physical damage to the first enemy they pass through, then 80% of the damage to each additional enemy.

(Living Shadow): Against an enemy hit by a shuriken, each additional shuriken deals 50% less damage than the previous shuriken.

  • Cost: 75 / 70 / 65 / 60 / 55 energy
  • Range: 900
Tips :

Zed sends his Shuriken in the target direction.

A very efficient Shuriken skillshot.

An excellent spell to poke at mid range
This ability will let you deal damage at your opponent or farm at distance in the lane phase. The aim is to be able to prevent exposure to a gank. This also lets you farm by attacking your opponent without necessarily being in range for him to retaliate.

The best way to do the lane phase is to make it so that when the enemy advances to last hit he is either dealt the shuriken or he misses his last hit! To do this you should take the creeps with the base attack, which will advance you on the lane.

It is dangerous to use Zed's shadow W to harass your opponent with the Q/E because you will be vulnerable to a gank.

Note that the way the shadow works is similar to Lulu's E/Q. The shadow casts the Shuriken in the direction of your cursor so that you can snipe your enemy from afar for a more powerful harass.

A Shuriken that goes through an opponent will deal about 75% of the damage to the next targets. Also, when more than one Shuriken touches a target, the following Shuriken will deal 50% of the damage of the first Shuriken.

The spell does not give vision but you will hear a sound if your Shuriken touches an opponent in the Fog of War.

Each of Zed's shadows casts a Shuriken in the targeted direction, depending on the shadow!

Combined with the ultimate, you must try to touch the opponent under the effect of the mark with at least 2 Shurikens for more damage!

The spell has a short incantation time, doesn't work on the towers and doesn't have on hit effects.

Zed's clone also sends a Shuriken.

    Cooldown: 6 seconds

    Physical Damage: 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+100% of your attack damage bonus)

    Physical Damage to secondary targets: 60 / 88 / 116 / 144 / 172 (+90% of your attack damage bonus)

Living Shadow (W)

(Passive): Increases Zed's attack damage bonus.

(Active): Zed's shadow dashes forward, remaining in place for 4 seconds. Reactivating Living Shadow will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow.

Zed's shadows mimic his abilities. If an ability strikes any target twice, Zed restores energy. Energy can only be restored once per mimicked ability.

    Tips :

The clone mimicks the spells, especially the Q.

A non targeted dash that can surprise when used with your spells.

This spell offers huge gameplay possibilities
It is very important that you master this ability, it allows you to position yourself and to cast skillshots.

The passive of this spell also increases your AD bonus by 25%. This increases your damage if you have enough with the runes, masteries and items!

The spell only costs 20 energy at level 5. If you manage to touch an opponent with the mimic of one of your spells you will recover energy.

Zed can also switch position with the shadow to pass through a wall or to approach an opponent.

When Zed switches position with the clone he can use his E to slow opponents in range of his initial position because this will now be his shadow!

The targets touched by the E from the real Zed will reduce the spells cooldown.

The shadow also mimicks Zed's E.

      Cooldown: 22 / 20.5 / 19 / 17.5 / 16 seconds

      Additional Attack Damage: 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 (+90% of your attack damage bonus)

      Recovered Energy: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 / 45

    Shadow Slash (E)

(Active): Zed and his shadows slash, dealing physical damage to nearby enemies.

Each enemy hit by Zed's Shadow Slash reduces Living Shadow's cooldown by 1 second. Each enemy hit by a mimicked Shadow Slash will be slowed by 1.5 seconds.

(Living Shadow): Enemies hit by both Shadow Slashes will be slowed by a greater amount but will not take additional damage.

      Tips :

      Zed spins around.

Some zone damage and a slow on the clone.

          Burst a weak cooldown
Zed's E is the perfect tool for catching a target thanks to the slow on the shadows. For this you need to place a shadow near an enemy, use the E to slow him, then switch places with your shadow to deal the maximum amount of damage at your opponent.

If you hit your opponent several times with the E, it will not do more damage but you will recover energy, thanks to the W, apply the slow and the CDR.

The E's base cooldown is 3 seconds so a bit less with the CDR, and the length of the ultimate is 4 seconds. So the aim is to do the E twice during the ultimate to increase the burst of the mark at the end of the 3 seconds.

This spell has no incantation time.

        Cooldown: 3 seconds

        Physical Damage: 60 / 90 / 120 / 150 / 180 (+90% of your attack damage bonus)

        Slow: 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 %

      Death Mark (R)

(Active): Zed becomes untargetable and dashes to target enemy champions. Upon arrival, he marks the target for death and spawns a Living Shadow behind the target. This shadow lasts 4 seconds and mimics Zed's abilities. Reactivating Death Mark will cause Zed to switch positions with this shadow.

After 3 seconds, the mark will trigger, dealing physical damage equal to 100% of the attack damage plus a percentage of the magic and physical damage dealt to the target by Zed and his shadows while the mark was active.

        Tips :

The Death Mark will make you crazy.

An incredible burst after 3 seconds.

The Death Mark bears its name well
You can deal the maximum damage at your target thanks to this ultimate. The ideal is to activate your ultimate, and then deal the maximum possible damage for the 3 second duration of the mark, when this has been achieved it will deal damage depending on the damage you have dealt.

If the Team Fight ever becomes too intense then you can use one of your two shadows to get out.

The ultimate can be useful in a gank to escape. For example, use the ultimate on the lane opponent when the enemy jungler appears from behind, then run in the opposite direction to the way you actually want to go, then teleport. Then you can follow up with the W to put some distance between you and your opponents, at the same time keeping your flash. Be careful, you need to run in a plausible direction and not kill yourself under the tower!

The ultimate is immediate and you are untargetable during the 0.5 second animation, this can be interesting to avoid a skillshot or a zone spell etc...

The shadow created by the ultimate goes behind the target for 4 seconds and the real Zed will still be facing the target!

With the shadow of the ultimate + the W it is possible to do 200% of the damage of the Q if all three Shuriken hit the target.

Careful, an anti-spell shield will stop the mark being triggered!

Pure damage, like ignite, will not increase the burst of the ultimate.
