Snakeball - PS3 Network review

Dec 7, 2007

Remember Snake, the game everyone used to play on their phones? Snakeball is Snake with a facelift. It’s beautiful, with arenas that look like a nightclub dance floor. But besides being aesthetically pleasing, Snakeball doesn’t really offer much.

The focus of this Network game is Snakeball mode, which pits you against other competitors in order to rack up the most points, accumulated by collecting balls and placing them in goals. Like Snake these balls make your tail larger. The AI is pitifully easy, even on the highest difficulty, and Snakeball isn’t particularly fun online either. Challenge mode gets you completing set tasks within a time limit, while Ball Frenzy is basically classic Snake and challenges you to collect 1000 balls with only one life across various arenas. Both will last you an hour at most.
