Choosing My Character
I chose a male Street Samurai from the Human race. My reason for doing so is that I’m basically covering my bases when it comes to having strengths in both offensive and defensive combat situations. The Street Samurai has the advantage of being able to attack with a variety of weapons at both close and long-ranges. This tactic can also be used to fend off enemies at a distance before they can get within striking proximity or as a means of defending self from hostiles that ambush you up close.
As for choosing the human race, it basically comes down to their stats topping off at 9 across the board in each category. While some characters exceed these numbers in various areas of their skill sets, they must also sacrifice other aspects to maintain an overall balance. Stronger characters usually have to give up speed, magically-enhanced characters usually have to give up other combat skills, you know the drill. With an evenly scored set of stats, the human race has neither a disadvantage nor advantage in any given scenario. I don’t like to be bound to a certain style of playing, so without having to rely on a specific strength my character possesses, I’m free to approach any new situation in whatever way I see fit.
You can of course pick any other type of race or class, but the following walkthrough will primarily be written with the skills of Street Samurai in mind.
Spending Karma
My personal preference, when increasing a characters attributes throughout the game, is to focus primarily on strengthening the skills that aid in surviving each combat situation for as long as possible until I’m ready to launch an offensive strategy. I would split my first 5 or 6 Karma points between Quickness, for increasing the odds of dodging incoming fire, and Body, for adding resistance to any damage taken.
Once my character is resilient enough to survive for an extended period of time during battles with multiple enemies or a single large one, I’ll use my Karma points to increase their proficiency in ranged combat and whichever weapon I currently use the most effectively. I try to strengthen my skills as soon as I receive even just one new Karma point and I won’t start filling in the remaining unmentioned attributes until the other have been maxed out completely. If I’m having trouble with choosing the right options during interrogation or conversation scenarios, I will pump up my Intelligence a bit to make that process a bit easier.
Mission 1: Down and Out
Choose Corporate Etiquette.
Search the indicated points in your apartment to discover your bank balance and look through the notebook, then answer the Vidphone when it rings to speak with Sam Watts and tell him he’s zoned.
Once the flashback kicks in, speak with New Larry to tell him to wait for the money, then ask Sam if something smells funny and if he missed a beat.
Ask Larry how much they paid him to sell you out and tell Sam that at least you have each other, then send Sam into cover behind the nearest picnic table facing the enemies and order him to use a Spray and Pray attack on New Larry.
Move yourself into cover behind the nearest rectangular crates and open fire on New Larry with a single shot from your pistol, then have Sangoma duck behind the other crate and take Larry out with another single shot.
On the next turn, send your character into cover behind the right side of the picnic table already being used by Sam and take a single shot at one of the enemies ahead within view.
Order Sam to proceed to the upper corner of the crate stack in front of him and fire a double shot at the nearest guard, then have Sangoma finish off the same enemy with an aimed shot and use a single shot from her gun to damage the remaining member of security.
Have Sangoma finish off the last enemy with a single shot and take cover behind the other side of the crate, then move your character beside her to open fire with a single shot on the new pair of guards that appeared and send Sam to crouch between the both of you.
Hit the largest enemy with a double shot from Sam’s gun and wait for the next turn to end, then have your character fire two single shots at the same guard to eliminate him and locate the new pair of hostiles that arrive from the northwest.
Send Sam in at close-range to approach the remaining guard ahead from behind and have Sangoma open fire with single shots on him as well, then have your character move to the table that same enemy is using as cover and order all three members of your team to attack until the hostile is dead.
After the next turn, send your character into cover behind the pair of rectangular crates and open fire on Inferno with a single shot.
Have Sangoma hit Inferno with a pair of aimed shots and move Sam into cover behind the rectangular crates as well, then wait for the next turn to end and have your character target the Shaman with two single shots.
Use Sam to finish killing the Shaman and Inferno, move Sangoma in line with the rest of your team and have her hit the remaining Mage with a single shot.
Order your team to continue shooting the Mage until he dies to activate the next conversation, then tell Sam he did good and that this is the only life you know to end the flashback.
Tell Sam you’ll get to the bottom of this and that you’re heading back to Seattle to complete this mission.
Mission 2: The Dead Man’s Switch
Speak with Dresden in the next room above to tell him you’re here about Sam Watts and that you’re being paid for this job, then follow the coroner over to the dead body and ask him about the Emerald City Ripper.
Ask what the Ripper took from Sam and about the other organs that were removed, then collect a medkit from the table beside the entrance to the room you’re in and inspect the corpse to discover the small incision.
Search through each item in the available evidence bags to take the credstick and exit the room to speak with McKlusky, then inform him that you’re new in town and tell Dresden you’re great at dinner parties too.
Tell the coroner that Sam was there when you needed him and ask the next series of questions that become available to learn more about the Emerald City Ripper, then approach the cabinets beside the curtain above to open them so you can collect trauma and basic medkits.
Approach the indicated orange morgue drawer in the corner to open it and examine the body inside, then apologize to Jake and ask him if he knew the latest Ripper victim.
Give Jake your name and ask him if he’s done this before, then mention your love of street justice and request a rifle for the accuracy it provides at a safe distance.
Tell Jake you’re ready, then approach the same door you first used when entering the building to travel to the Barrens and complete this mission.
Mission 3: The Redmond Barrens
Make your way towards the right along the street and enter the first alley above clear away the trash hiding the safe, then use Jake’s MagCard to open it and collect the gear inside.
Use the dumpster behind you as cover and fire a single shot at the nearest enemy to inflict damage, then have Jake finish him off and send him into cover as well to survive the next turn.
Have your character use burst and aimed to eliminate the remaining enemy, then tell Jake that good dead-drops are hard to keep and exit the alley to continue in the same direction down the street on the right.
Enter the market area to speak with the Head Thug and tell him to back off, then eliminate this enemy with a round of burst fire and have Jake finish off the nearby Mage with his flamethrower ability.
Speak with Mrs. James to complete the optional objective and tell her to keep the nuyen, then head back down the previous street to turn the south corner and make another left below to talk to Vlad behind the bus stop.
Ask Vlad if he’s ok and continue questioning him until you have all the information you need, then head in a northeaster direction to travel along the lowermost road and approach the next indicated area to interact with one of the Halloweener Sentries.
Put the team into cover around the small stack of wooden crates below to open fire on the nearby sentry with single and burst shots until he dies, then split the pair up by sending your character behind the first shack up the road ahead and have Jake eliminate the remaining sentry above with a burst shot.
Move your character closer to the mage to hit him with a single shot and do the same with Jake to eliminate this enemy, then shoot John Paul to speak with him and ask Jake’s opinion to “finish this”.
Hit John Paul with a pair of single shots to eliminate him and continue moving east along the road below to reach the scene of Sam’s murder, then tell Jake to call you later and travel north to Dan the Donut Man on the corner above.
Ask Dan all three available questions to acquire donuts and soykaf, then return to Sam’s crime scene to speak with William by the police bike and give Officer Kuprik the food you just received.
Tell the officer you’re from internal affairs to enter the crime scene above and search the area to find the Test Tube Piece, then pick up the coat and blankets to discover the Bar Tab Receipt and continue looking to analyze the nearby footprints.
Check the work light to finish investigating the crime scene and speak with William again to return his possessions to him, then ask about the murder and tell him you’re a freelancer.
Ask William if he saw the murder and anything else in the alley that night, then have him tell you more about the Troll’s cyberware and enter the Seamstresses Union behind Dan the Donut Man to complete this mission.
Mission 4: The Seamstresses Union
Speak with the bartender, Cherry Bomb, to request something dirty to drink and inquire about Shane’s righteous strength, then ask if you look like a cop and tell her you’re going to look around.
Move to the opposite side of the bar to speak with Eric Mersmann and purchase a new piece of clothing to increase your skill points in some way, then proceed into the next room ahead and approach Jin Parks in the corner to purchase a Street Sweeper for close-range combat.
Make your way over to Mr. Kluwe in the opposite corner and ask him if there’s often trouble in here, then mention Sam Watts and assume he needed to be thrown out of the bar.
Thank Mr. Kluwe for the info and pass through the doorway he’s guarding to reach the cathouse, then speak with Mrs. Kubota at the bottom of the staircase to tell her you’re tempted to go upstairs and that you’re looking for Sam Watts’ killer.
Ask Mrs. Kubota if she knows where to find Coyote and why she fears for her if she’s dangerous, then climb the stairs to approach the next locked door in front of you and hack the panel beside it to gain entrance.
Examine the teddy bear to pick up Nitro and return to the previous hallway to enter the bedroom at the end of the corridor, then read the diary on the bed to to gain new information about Coyote by flipping through the various pages and documents inside of it.
Approach the wall safe beside the bathroom entrance to unlock it with the code you found inside the diary and take whatever items are available, then move to the computer and select “Password Recovery” to answer the next three questions as such: Shadow – The Starfire – Chicago.
Look through the three available files on the computer to learn new information and return to the ground floor to speak with Mrs. Kubota again, then move back into the band area to approach Jin Parks and ask her if she sold a gun to Coyote.
Ask Jin Parks why Coyote wanted the gun, then approach the building’s front entrance to take a cab to Pike Place Market and complete this mission.
Mission 5: Pike Place Market
Speak with the man surrounded by the people holding umbrellas above and ask him to tell you more, then turn the corner on the left to proceed north along the street and make another left at the traffic light to have a conversation with Paco.
Ask Paco if he’s looking for Coyote and tell him to relax, then inquire about Mr. Delilah and tell him to slow down.
Tell Paco not to worry and proceed in a northeast direction along the market streets to speak with Manny in front of the Meat Emporium, then ask if everything is cool and burn through the list of available questions.
Use the receipt in your inventory to acquire the zebra meat and continue moving east up the road to reach another murder scene, then tell Paco to pull himself together and speak with Officer Landers to mention Coroner Dresden.
Inform Dresden that you’re there as a matter of coincidence and use the list of provided questions to interrogate him about the murder, then repeat that same tactic with Officer Aguirre and end by thanking him for his time to learn about the Orphan Fund.
Offer Aguirre 100 and take the 200 deal he proposes next, then approach the barricade ahead to speak with the Elf on the other side and ask why he would want to know something about that.
Speak with Dresden again to question him about the Elf and Officer Aguirre, then exit the crime scene to follow the street heading south and turn the last corner below to now move in an easter direction and talk with Frank outside of the Stuffer Shack.
Ask Frank if he knew the victim and if the two of them were close, then inquire about Blind Lucy and how she scored the new eyes.
Run through the list of available questions with Frank and tell him you’re sorry for his loss, then tell him you are a part of the investigation and that you’ll bring Lucy’s necklace from the crime scene if you find it.
Return to the previous murder site to examine the corpse and use quickness to retrieve the necklace, then hand it over to Frank free of charge and tell him you’re just happy to help.
Continue moving east along the nearby street to speak with the Junkie and deny him any nuyen you’re carrying, then put Paco into cover behind the small barricade ahead and use a burst shot from his gun to injure the Junkie.
Finish the Junkie off with your character and hit the remaining thug with a single shot from the rifle to kill him as well, then approach the front door of the Royale behind you and enter the building to complete this mission.
Mission 6: The Royale Apartments
Tell Paco about Stevie-J and head south to approach the sad old man above the entrance to the next area of the building below, then tell him to take it easy and ask if Coyote came back down.
Remark about Coyote’s run going sideways on her and tell the Sad Old Man you’ll find another way, then enter the next corridor below to encounter Ryker and follow Symp into the room above.
Ask Symp what that was all about and ask him why they would do that, then tell Paco to keep it together and assure Symp that you’ll find his son.
Enter the next room above to acquire Jazz from the corner and return to the previous corridor below to proceed west across it, then move into the room at the end of corridor to locate a gathering of junkies and speak with Ryker to ask about the top floor.
Use your intelligence to make a deal with Ryker and advise him to get out now, then follow him into the back room to find Zipper and tell Tickler you’re going to have to kill him.
Hit Tickler with a round of burst fire to kill him and tell Zipper he got lucky today, then approach the console on the wall in front of you to acquire the BTL recording and return to the outer corridor to speak with Symp again.
Tell Symp that Zipper’s okay and access the table filled with computer monitors to select BTL Library, then send a happy BTL to the junkies and make your back to the elevator in the previous corridor to approach the panel beside it.
Use the pass code to enter the elevator and push the button for the Penthouse to complete this mission.
Mission 7: The Penthouse Suite
Exit the elevator to proceed through the first open doorway above and hit the enemy in the next room with a single shot from your rifle, then order Paco to shoot the creature again with a round of burst fire and wait for a voice to boom over the P.A. system.
Tell Stevie you know who he is and finish off the enemy in front of you with a single shot, then send both characters into cover behind the kitchen table and end your turn so that Thistle moves in close.
Have your character hit Thistle with a round of burst fire to kill him and end the turn to draw the remaining enemy into the room, then repeat the same action to inflict damage on him and order Paco to do the same until the thug is dead.
After the newt turn ends and Stevie has finished making threats, have your character shoot the nearest thug with a round of burst fire to kill him and order Paco to reload his weapon.
Order Paco to shoot the large thug outside the room with a round of burst fire and have your character do the same until the enemy is dead so you can collect Stevie’s pass codes, then continue moving forward down the corridor to access the iron gate above on the left and shove zebra meat through the bars to distract the hellhounds.
Open the door to pass between the hellhounds and continue into the next room ahead to encounter Coyote, then have your character kill the nearby enemy with a round of burst fire and tell her you need to ask some questions.
Tell Paco to help get Coyote back to the Union and exit the room to open the metal shutter across from it, then search the storage area to find the money and medkit.
Return to the corridor where you previously killed Stevie and open the door across the hall from the kitchen to unleash a hellhound, then use a round of burst fire and two single shots to eliminate the creature.
Enter the room below to find the rare stones and return to the previous corridor to access the elevator in the corner, then press the button to head back to the Seamstresses Union and complete this mission.
Mission 8: Return to the Union
Tell Mrs. Kubota that you’re honored and ask if this place is a safe house too, then finish asking her the list of available questions and proceed east to the back of the bar.
Speak with Van Graas to mention Mrs. Kubota and enter the cathouse area above to approach Mr. Kluwe at the bottom of the staircase, then tell him you tracked her down and that he feels protective over the people here.
Burn through the list of available questions with Mr. Kluwe, then approach the piano in the room to play G-A-F-F-C and use the secret entrance that opens to enter the Union safe house.
Speak with Dr. Castle in the room below to tell Coyote she needs a hand and comment on her new mechanical arm, then talk with Coyote again after the operation to ask her about Sam and burn through another list of available questions to eventually find out where Sam lived.
Search the bunk in the room arose from you to inspect both sides of the photo and pocket it, then move west through the safe house to locate another bar area and speak with Eric Mersmann to purchase another piece of clothing for extra skill points.
Approach Dr. Castle again to call her work impressive and ask about Cyberware to purchase any new installations you may currently need, then ask Coyote about Sam’s sister and tell Officer Aguirre it’s a pleasure to hear from him.
Tell Aguirre to put it on your tab and inform Coyote that you’ll see her when you get back, then exit the safe house to speak with Mr. Delilah and ask him to identify himself.
Mention to Mr. Delilah that you’ve got what he wanted from Coyote and tell him the run went south, then give him your name without revealing that Paco is her boyfriend and hand over all the stones to finish the deal.
Follow Paco to meet up with Van Graas again and ask him if he’s the right guy for fencing stones, then tell him to pay you and take a cab at the building’s front entrance to complete this mission.
Mission 9: The South Seattle Docks / The Warehouse
Move down the road ahead to approach the security gate to the north and interact with the Lonestar Guard to tell it that you’re the new the new maintenance guy, then speak with the Streetwalker on the corner below and ask her to distract the guard.
Cross the street on your right to speak with the homeless man and threaten his intestines to acquire the ladder, then approach the indicated corner of the security gate above to climb over it and proceed north to reach the docks.
Examine the crate beside the helicopter to acquire additional supplies and turn back around to now move in a southeastern direction across the compound, then enter the indicated warehouse marked with a red stripe and approach the table below to speak with Officer Aguirre.
Use traffic as an excuse with Aguirre and tell him that scientists don’t make good criminals, then open the door on the right to examine the desk inside and read through the various notes available.
Cross to the wall on the left to inspect the items inside the locker and exit the room to approach the crime scene to the west, then speak with Dresden to make the Dial-a-Morgue joke and ask which organ the Ripper was after.
Burn through the list of available questions with Dresden and speak with Shannon Half-Sky to tell her you’re an independent, then ask about forcing the spirit to talk and assure her you’ll do what you can.
Move through the open doorway below to access the next open area littered with plane parts and dig through the shoe pile between the seats to inspect the sneaker, then proceed in a northeast direction to examine the trash in the corner and inspect the three available items.
Walk over to the vent in the wall beside you to send a drone through it and enter the next room that opens, then pick up the magnetic screwdriver and exit the area to return to the previous murder site.
Approach the blinking red panel above to open it with the magnetic screwdriver and access the room behind it to find the old diary, then return to the locker where you found the toothbrush to pocket the comb and speak with Shannon again to give her the haunted objects.
Ask McKlusky about standard procedure and refer to him as a Rentacop when talking to Shannon moments later, then tell her the situation is a rabbit hole and that the people you know are the best money can buy.
Move to the warehouse’s exit to speak with Coyote and tell her you’re getting jerked around by Lone Star, then remark that it sounds nasty and assume she has a new lead.
Tell Coyote you’re on your way to complete this mission.
Mission 10: Coyote’s Crusade
Tell Coyote you figured she could use the backup and thank her, then move forward along the rooftop to speak with BTL Clocker and burn through the list of available questions to eventually gain access to the adjacent corridor.
Proceed north through the hallway to speak with the concerned woman above and click through another list of questions, then head east to talk to Charlie and sucker punch him in his blind eye.
Kill Charlie with a round of burst fire from two of your characters and wait for an elf to pass through the doorway he was guarding, then eliminate this enemy with a single shot and a round of spray and pray.
Eliminate the remaining elf with a single shot from Coyote and a round of burst fire from your character and Paco, then leaf through the notebook you find on the ground to look for the interesting names and take it before entering the next room above.
Continue moving north to reach the next series of rooftops and pass through the open doorway above to tell Coyote you can’t promise a lack of casualties, then order your character to shoot a round of burst fire at the BTL Operator on the left and have Coyote enter the room as well.
Order Coyote to stand beside your character and fire a single shotgun blast at the BTL Security Guard in the distance ahead, then have your character retreat behind the wall on the left outside the room and have Coyote fire another round at the same enemy as before.
Have Coyote take cover with rest of the team outside the room and use medkits to heal whoever needs it, then order all three characters to duck behind three different crate stacks in the surrounding area and end the current turn.
Send a round of full-auto fire from your character’s gun to the Yakuza Shaman and order Paco to toss a grenade at the enemy nearest to him, then have Coyote join your character behind cover and instruct her to fire an aimed shot at the BTL security guard in the distance above.
Order your character to fire a pair of single shots at the BTL Bodyguard and have Paco move into cover behind the next stack of crates below, then heal Coyote and wait for the enemy’s turn to end.
Reload Coyote’s gun and have her fire a single round at the BTL Security guard in the distance ahead, then order your character to fire a single shot from his AK-47 to kill the bodyguard and another at the previous security guard.
Have Paco fire a burst shot at the Yakuza Mage and wait for the enemy turn to end, then order your character to fire an aimed shot at him and send Coyote in at close range to stand next to the hostile mage.
Instruct Paco and your character to join Coyote at her location so that the Yakuza Mage retreats back into the room above, then have Paco move up alongside him and shoot a round of burst fire.
Order all three members of the team to proceed north through the room above and instruct Coyote to the hit the defector with a single shot, then have your character do the same and send in Paco to finish him for good.
Move your character over to the computer screen previously occupied by the defector and gently wind down the puppets, then speak with Gino to tell him to take it easy and to put the gun down
Tell Coyote she had to take him out and finish the conversation to complete this mission.
Mission 11: Looking for Trouble
Approach the bar to speak with Cherry Bomb and ask her the available series of questions, then talk to Jon Bartlett to tell him a little of this and a little of that and that time is money.
Use the words “if you say so” with Bartlett and speak with Van Graas by the juke box to show him he data from the NTSB, then make the deal and talk to him again to hand over the juicy list of BTL clients.
Make the second deal with Van Graas and proceed up into the stage area to speak with Jessica Watts, then ask her name and explain that you’re looking into your brother Sam’s death.
Ask Jessica to help you get to the bottom of this and tell her you’re not a cop, then explain that Lone Star has no professionals and that lowlifes have to stick together.
Tell Jessica that Sam hired you from beyond the grave and that it’s called a dead man’s switch, then inquire if she’s asking you to quit and inform her that you’re sticking with the job.
Burn through the next series of available questions with Jessica and let her keep the photo you give her, then thank her and enter the cathouse to tell Coyote that Gino’s death wasn’t her fault.
Tell Coyote you’ll keep her in mind and approach the east side of the room to enter the safe house, then move towards the bar area above to speak with David Fry about his inventory.
Purchase any necessary items or upgrades and approach the lockers in the room to the right of the entrance to equip what you need for the battle to come, then speak with T.B. Gruberman back in the corner of the previous bar area and ask what he has in stock to acquire a new weapon.
Exit the safe house to speak with Mr. Delilah on the floor above and inform him it’s his job to be right, then explain that you can pay upfront and that you’re ready to go.
Hire Shannon Half-Sky, Mr. Gallowglass and Hidden Fancy to complete this mission.
Mission 12: Return to the Docks
Tell Shannon Half-Sky it shouldn’t be much of a problem and approach the gated entrance to the docks around the corner, then inform the scrawny guard that killing him won’t cost a dime and proceed north to encounter the enemies that appear from the right.
Move your character and Shannon into cover around the cylinder in front of the pier, then have her fire a blast of manabolt at the Shadowrunner and put Hidden Fancy behind cover as well in the same area.
Have Hidden Fancy fire a single shot at the Shadowrunner and move Mr. Gallowglass into cover with the rest of the team, then order him to hit the same enemy with another manabolt to finish him off for good.
Position Shannon into cover behind one of the objects below that allow for her to have a line of sight on the remaining Shadowrunner, then order her to fire a single shot at this enemy and move Hidden Fancy to crouch beside her.
Fire a single shot from Hidden Fancy’s gun to hit the remaining Shadowrunner and move Mr. Gallowglass into cover to the right of the motorized cart below, then order your character to fire another single shot at the larger Shadowrunner who appears next and position Shannon out in the open so she can shoot at that same enemy.
Order Mr. Gallowglass to fire a manabolt at the smaller Shadowrunner and move Hidden Fancy into his line of sight so she can hit him with a pair of single shots, then look towards the remaining enemies in the east and move Gallowglass out in front of them to fire another manabolt at the remaining enemy.
Kill the remaining enemy with a few single shots and look for the yellow icon that appears on the left to acquire the key, then heal whichever one of your runners needs it and send the whole team into the warehouse to complete this mission.
Mission 13: Spirit Talk
Move all of your characters into cover and have them each open fire with single shots on the shadow runner below to eliminate him, then locate the next four enemies to the south and repeat the same combat tactic above on the one that moves closest to the group.
Eliminate the first enemy and have Hidden Fancy fire a pair of single shots at the next closest shadow runner, then order Mr. Gallowglass to launch a manaball at him and hopefully injure additional hostiles in the near vicinity.
Stand your ground behind cover and wait for one of the shadow runners below to move in closer to the group, then eliminate him with a round of single shots from each character and repeat this tactic on one of the remaining enemies to kill him as well.
Use Shannon and Mr Gallowglass’ powers to strengthen your character’s armor or HP, then eliminate the last enemy below with manaballs from Gallowglass and aimed shots from the rest.
Move the entire team through the open doorways in the lowermost corner and have them take cover behind the first available obstacles in the next open area, then open fire on the Ork Shadowrunner with single and aimed shots.
Send two of your runners in closer behind the first row of airplane seats and eliminate the Adept that appears from the right, then have Shannon cast an elemental spell to raise Primeval and order the creature to fire a manabolt at the Ork.
Have Shannon fire her own manabolt at the Ork and finish him off with a single shot from Hidden Fancy’s rifle, then order her to fire another round at the remaining enemy in the distance and move the rest of the team closer to this lone shadowrunner while staying behind cover.
Order each member of the team and the Primeval to fire a single shot at the remaining shadow runner until he dies, then collect the flight recorder from the body and pass through the next open doorway below to watch Shannon summon a spirit.
Speak with the forgotten souls to show them all four magical fetishes and tell them to stick around afterwards, then inform Shannon that her brother already is free and return to the first open area to collect the indicated DNA Evidence.
Ask Shannon if that’s enough to target a spell and tell her you’ll see what you can do, then change your character’s etiquette to “Shadowrunner” and exit the warehouse to complete this mission.
Mission 14: After Hours / The Digital World
Enter the cathouse area to speak with Mr. Kluwe by the bar and tell him there’s more to it than just that, then explain to Mrs. Kubota that it’s been a long night and that no one is following you.
Ask Mrs. Kubota for help analyzing the DNA and if you can take a sausage, then enter the safe house to proceed into the bar area and speak with Van Graas to give him the flight recorder.
Use etiquette to cut a deal with Van Graas for 2,500 and speak with David Fry in the room below, then tell Johnny Clean you could use a shower and ask about the DNA analysis.
Tell Johnny Clean to get to work and purchase whatever you need from the store, then return to the bar area to speak with Johnny Clean again and mention that it sounds fascinating.
Use Decking 4 to jack in and equip some of the various abilities available, including killer and medic spells, then pass through the arc that appears above to jump between nodes and proceed in a northwest direction to encounter the three mechanical enemies around the indicated cylinder.
Split the team into cover between the two cube-shaped obstacles in front of the cylinder and have your character use a degrading spell on the White IC to the left, then fire a killer spell to finish the enemy off and order Johnny Clean to cast a sniffer spell.
Have Johnny Clean fire two killer spells at the remaining White IC and order him to cast a sniffer spell after that, then launch another killer spell at the remaining sentry and instruct your character to do the same.
Approach the Lone Star Data Store to hack the system and move back south to pass through the next arc above, then approach the cylinder on the right to encounter two more White ICs and put both team member into cover.
Use killer spells to eliminate the pair of White ICs and approach the Autopsy Records to hack the system again, then move back through the previous arc to enter the remaining portal below on the right and put both characters into the closest cover possible.
Have both characters launch multiple killer spells to eliminate the surrounding enemies and approach the News Net Archive to hack the system, then pass back through the previous arc to hot the Black IC on the other side with another pair of killer spells and enter the portal on the left to jack out of the LAN.
Tell Johnny Clean to punch it and equip the same items as before, then pass through the arc below to hit the IC on the other side with a pair of killer spells from each character and use the same tactic to remove the remaining enemy in the room as well.
Hack into the Medical Board 1 to search the files inside and pass through the next arc below to reach a new area, then have both characters take cover on opposite sides of the room and take out the enemies ahead with killer spells.
Approach Medical Board 2 to hack into it and check the available files, then move back through the previous two arcs to jack out of the LAN again and speak with David in the bar area above to tell Johnny Clean that maybe Silas faked his death.
Explain to Johnny that the face was mangled and ask David if he had a corp gunning for him, then mention the psychiatrist to wonder if they’re the same person and brag about your big payday.
Tell Johnny you’ll see him later and buy any necessary supplies or upgrades from David, then speak with T.B. Gruberman in the corner to purchase a new weapon and pick up a new article of clothing from the bartender.
Move back towards the safe house’s exit to talk to Sara Castle in the first open room below and burn through the list of available questions, then speak with Mr. Delilah in the area above to hire a crew consisting of: Hidden Fancy, Shannon and Savoy Marchetti.
Confirm your selection and travel to Mercy Mental Hospital to complete this mission.
Mission 15: Mercy Mental Hospital
Speak with the receptionist to tell him that you’re here to see Holmes and pass through the two gates that open below to enter the waiting area, then approach Lorraine to admit you don’t think you’ve seen Josie and act surprised upon discovering that Josie is a man.
Question Lorraine about the Urban Brawl and make no promises, then speak with Donny to inquire about Dr. Holmes and ask what that’s supposed to mean.
Give Donny your name and ask if there’s anyone you should be looking out for, then exit the room to make a left in the outer corridor and pass through the next unlocked door to reach the infirmary.
Approach the computer in the corner above to read the files inside and enter the curtained-off patient room beside you, then examine the indicated points to take the ring off the severed arm and collect the Trivid Disc.
Exit the infirmary to return to the waiting room and speak with Loraine again to tell her that Josie’s not looking too good, then make a Super Brawl joke and move back to the outer corridor after the P.A. calls your name.
Move east through the corridor to speak with Dr. Holmes and tell him he’s a hard man to reach, then mention the Emerald City Ripper killings to start a battle with hospital security and move Savoy right up against the nearest guard to launch a mana fist attack.
Order Hidden Fancy to approach the guard at close-range as well and open fire with a single shot, then have Shannon launch a manabolt at this same enemy and instruct Savoy to use a melee attack after that to finally score the kill.
Move Hidden Fancy through the door at the east end of the corridor to hit the guard on the other side with an aimed shot and jack your character into the computer in the corner of the waiting room, then send him behind the cover of the cube in front of the cylinder above and eliminate the pair of ICs with killer spells.
Continue using single shots in the real world to eliminate the next enemy and have your character approach the Bathroom Door cylinder within the matrix to hack into it, then pass through the next arc that appears below to take cover on the other side and use kill spells to eliminate the pair of ICs ahead so that you can hack into the Patient Records.
Send your character back through the previous arc to jack out of the LAN and have him enter the bathroom above, then search the indicated points to collect the grenade and medkit.
Move into the corridor above to pass the entire team through the door to the north and complete this mission.
Mission 16: Halls of Disrepair
Send your team into cover to open fire on the pair of security guards below with single shots and melee attacks, then eliminate the violent patient by using the same tactic and move west through the next corridor to interact with Dr. Holmes again.
Position a few characters outside the entrance to first narrow room above and have them fire on the violent patients inside with single or aimed shots, then finish clearing the area to continue moving forward down the hall and order Shannon to stop in front of the next open doorway below so she can launch a manabolt at the mental patient on the other side.
Have the rest of the team join Shannon to eliminate the mental patients in the room below with a series of single shots and manabolts, then proceed west through the corridor to take cover around the corner ahead and send Savoy in at close-range to attack the ex-surgeon with melee strikes.
Order the other members of your team to open fire on the ex-surgeon with single shots and eliminate the mental patient that appears with a round of burst fire, then proceed through the next open doorway above to search the surgical cart on the other side.
Collect the Trivid Disc and the gate key from the surgical cart, then move back towards the east along the previous corridor to pass through the first barred doorway above and speak with Dr. Holmes again on the other side.
Open fire on the crazed patient above with a series of single shots and unlock the next door on the right to stand in the entrance, then use a round of burst fire to kill the guard on the other side and enter the room to take out a doctor in the same manner.
Enter the curtained-off area in the corner to play each of the trideos and pass your team through the next set of metal doors above to complete this mission.
Mission 17: The Emerald City Ripper
Approach the entryway above to speak with Dr. Holmes and demand that you get to it, then move the team into the next room to take cover on the other side and order your character to unload a round of full auto fire into Pitezel.
Have each member of your team fire as many single shots as they can into Pitezel and instruct Shannon to cast an elemental spell that raises a creature called Pestilence, then order this creature to launch an acid spray at the enemy closest to it and wait for Dr. Holmes to enter the room.
Hit Pitezel with another round of single shots and a manabolt from Shannon, then have Pestilence launch acid at him as well and continue this method of attack until the large enemy falls over dead.
Instruct Savoy to finish off the smaller enemies at close-range with melee attacks and move your team further up into cover so that they are nearer to Dr. Holmes’ location, then order Pestilence to hit him with a spray of acid and position one or two characters around the boss as a means of flanking him from the side.
Continue damaging Dr. Holmes with single shots, acid sprays and manabolts until he falls over dead, then approach the workbench beside the barred gate above to search through the items laid across it and proceed north into the next room to speak with the Bunrakus.
Ask the Bunrakus how long they’ve been there and collect the Chip Wiper from the table above, then use it to erase Dr. Holmes’ programming from their memories and exit through the door on the left.
Approach the next door above on the right to speak with Shannon and tell her this isn’t over yet, then ask if there’s anyway you can change her mind and exit the room to complete this mission.
Mission 18: Loose Ends
Speak with Johnny Clean at the bar to tell him you thought he knew better and inform Mrs. Kubota that you got the bastard who wielded the scalpel, then explain about the head of the asylum and assure Cherry Bomb that it sounds like it.
Tell Mrs. Kubota his sister invited you to the funeral and assure her that that’s where you were headed, then use the word “decomposing” and hand over the list you found in the data-store at Mercy Mental.
Wish Mrs. Kubota luck and enter the back room to speak with Van Graas, then ask him how much the ring is and take the money offered.
Move through the doorway that leads into the cathouse and speak with Mr. Kluwe at the bottom of the stairs to ask about the latest news, then tell him the Ripper’s in the ground and that there’s a few loose ends to tie up.
Inform Mr. Kluwe that a good watering hole always survives and enter the safe house to speak with Dr. Sara Castle, then ask her how many patients she’s lost and call it professional curiosity.
Assure Dr. Castle that we all make mistakes and purchase some new cyberware if necessary, then proceed into the bar area above to buy various supplies from the surrounding patrons in preparation for the battles to come.
Exit the safe house to approach the Union building’s front entrance and travel to the funeral to complete this mission.
Mission 19: Family Debts
Speak with Jessica at the gravesite to use the phrase ” Vaya con Dios” and tell her you need to talk, then ask about her mother and saving the lives of others.
Move Coyote into cover behind the headstone beneath Sam’s grave and open fire on the hostiles below with a single shot from her rifle, then focus a second shot on the hired gun and move your character out in front of the thugs to finish off the aforementioned enemy with an aimed shot.
Put your character back into cover and have Jake stand in his place to fire another pair of aimed shot at the mercenary to kill this enemy, then send the entire team further north to hide somewhere behind Sam’s grave and order Jake to cast a healing or accuracy spell on whoever needs it.
Have Jake fire three single shots at the mercenary below and order Coyote to finish this enemy off in the same manner, then send Jake further north to hide behind the plants above and instruct your character to hit the nearest hostile with a round of burst fire.
Order Coyote to target enemies in close proximity at one another so she can hit multiple hostiles at once with her Remington, then move Jake further north into cover and instruct your character to shoot a round of burst fire at the nearest hostile.
Take out the weakest enemies currently on the field with the help of Coyote’s Remington and instruct the entire team to move further into cover with Jake, then use single shots to fend off the hostiles until they are eventually attacked by the ghouls that rise from the dead.
Instruct Jake to cast healing spells on those who need it and to hit the nearest enemy with a flamethrower attack, then use single shots or burst fire to continue fending off the surrounding hostiles and order Coyote to shoot a distant thug in the kneecap.
Reload all weapons before the ghouls get too close to your team and use burst fire or aimed shots to keep them at bay, then toss grenades or instruct Jake to launch a ball lightning attack to take out the zombies in close proximity to each other and utilize Coyote’s Remington at close-range to finish clearing the area.
Approach the Mercenary Captain laying on the ground and explain that he’s not the first person to tell you that, then ask about the troops and inform Coyote that you did not recognize the elf.
Tell Jake you’ll hire the runners and make your way into the southeast corner of the map to collect the elemental fetish from the grave above, then travel north to approach the indicated gate and exit the cemetery to complete this mission.
Mission 20: Moving Parts / Towards Brotherhood
Visit the vendors in the safe house to acquire new weapons and upgrades for the battles to come, then speak with Mr. Delilah to hire a team of runners that consists of Coyote, Gallowglass and El Duce.
Confirm that you’re ready to travel to the Redmond Barrens, then head east to navigate around the right side of the barricade and continue moving in this direction to speak with Patrick.
Tell Patrick that you’re ready and that coming in sounds good, then choose to enter the Universal Brotherhood and assure Patrick that you understand that you must enter alone.
Once you’re inside the Universal Brotherhood building, approach the front desk to speak with Sister Sally and burn through the list of available questions to learn more information.
Approach the back of the lobby to speak with Sister Wilma and burn through another list of questions, then enter the cafeteria on the left to search through the maintenance supplies in the lower corner and take the kerosene can.
Make your way over to the stove between the two buffet tables above and put the kerosene on it to start a fire, then enter the kitchen through the entrance marked “Members Only” and ask Coyote if she can open the door herself.
Examine the indicated points around the kitchen and return to the lobby to enter the waiting room on the right, then speak with Sister Nancy to tell her that you’re a lost sheep.
Ask Sister Nancy about Jessica and why she called her Grandmother, then inquire about the different areas of the Brotherhood to receive a new objective and return to the kitchen to let your friends in through the door in the corner.
Exit the kitchen to approach the automated turrets in the outer hall and alert the inner sanctum security to activate a lockdown of the entire building, then order Gallowglass to cast armor spells on the team members that need it and have him step out in front of the enemies to launch a manabolt at one of the turrets.
Order El Duce to sprint over to the opposite hallway and take cover behind the corner, then have the other members of the team fire single shots at the security guards and move in at extremely close-range to hit one of the turrets with a grenade.
Have Gallowglass cast a healing spell on the runner who needs it most and launch a fireball amongst the enemies standing closest to one another, then order El Duce to fire a round of spray and pay ammo to start clearing out the hostiles.
Use single shots from Coyote’s Remington to destroy the turrets and fire aimed shots from other runners’ to eliminate any remaining enemies, then collect the inner sanctum access card left behind and take out the next two guards that appear with the help of magical spells.
Pass through both inner sanctum doors above to complete this mission.
Mission 21: Beneath the Brotherhood
Proceed forward to encounter the next wave of enemies and send your entire team into cover behind the long barricade on the left, then hit the nearest follower with single or aimed shots and use Gallowglass to target the whole group for manaball attacks.
Finish clearing out the followers ahead with a round of single shots from each runner on your team and pass through the first door on the left to enter the bunk room, then examine the indicated points to collect the medkit and read the data pad.
Return to the previous area to pass your entire team through the next door above and put them into cover behind the barricade on the right, then use full auto rounds or magic spells to quickly eliminate the nearest follower and push Coyote forward through the security gate to open fire on the mage at close-range.
Send the other runners to join Coyote in attacking the mage with single shots until he falls over dead, then pass through the first door on the left to pick up the medkit and pass through the second door on the left to collect the grenades.
Open the next door above to toss a grenade through it and damage the enemies on the other side, then use Gallowglass to approach the entrance as well and launch a manaball at the same pair.
Finish eliminating the two enemies with single shots to collect the holding cell key from their bodies and enter the room above to pass through the first door on the left, then collect the payment record from the desk and free the prisoner in the corner to speak with Marie-Louise.
Ask Marie-Louise about the noises and if she saw another woman, then tell Jessica to see the job through and that the Universal Brotherhood is a cult.
Tell Jessica she doesn’t even sound human and order Marie-Louise to stay behind you, then use Coyote’s Remington to blow away the pair of followers that arrived from below and have Gallowglass launch a manaball at the closest true form worker.
Hit the true form worker with a round of single shots from each runner and another pair of manabolts from Gallowglass to finally kill the creature’s physical form, then cast a healing spell on the team member who needs it most and use the same tactics as before to eliminate the other insect’s body.
Once both true form workers have transformed into spirits, ask Jessica what these things are and if she’s blind.
Jack into the matrix with Mary-Louise and move the rest of the team into the room she’s currently occupying, then switch over to the virtual world to take cover beside the White IC you see ahead and use killer spells to destroy it.
Eliminate the next IC that approaches and find cover behind a taller obstacle to survive the enemy’s turn, then switch back to reality and order Gallowglass to fire a manaball at the true form workers outside the room.
Move Coyote to the room’s entrance so she can hit the workers outside at close range with her Remington and have the rest of the team fire single shots until the creatures are dead, then return to the virtual world to continue eliminating the ICs with killer spells and proceed north through the arc above.
Return to reality to heal whichever runners need it and have each of them open fire on the enemies outside with aimed shots to defend the area more efficiently, then use a fire spell to start finishing them off and switch back to the virtual world to turn the corner ahead.
Use the wall behind you as cover to fire on the enemies above with killer spells, then return to reality to continue defending the room with burst fire and manabolts.
Switch back to the virtual world to finish off the enemies above with a flurry of killer spells and proceed north across the map, then return to reality and continue defending the area to survive the next turn.
Return to the virtual world to approach the Exit Door Controls and encounter Baron Samed to hack the system, then jack Marie-Louise out of the LAN to rejoin the team and exit the room to now head west.
Open the door in the corner to enter the next room above and send the entire team north through another door to exit the building, then ask Marie-Louise where she’s going and tell Baron Samedi to explain himself.
Tell Baron Samedi you’ll talk to him later and move towards the indicated fence below to complete this mission.
Mission 22: The Union
Explain that the Brotherhood is turning followers into bugs and tell Coyote you’ll think of her, then speak with Cherry Bomb at the bar to ask if he said when it was and inquire about the Baron.
Move into the next room above to talk to Mr. Johnson and tell him it’s never a milk run, then inquire about securing Mr. Saada’s freedom and ask to see the nuyen.
Enter the cat house to speak with Van Graas and use etiquette to sell the payment record, then head down into the safe house to talk to Johnny Clean by the bar area and call yourself the friendly type.
Burn through the available list of questions with Johnny Clean and jack into the matrix to encounter Baron Samedi again, then ask about the spam and mention that you’re getting more than you bargained for.
Ask Baron Samedi what this has to do with the Brotherhood and tell him he’s got to be joking, then admit that someone has to save the world and inquire about getting inside.
Jack out of the LAN to ask Johnny Clean if he’s talking about himself and visit the surrounding vendors to purchase new items or upgrades, then speak with Mr. Delilah to tell him you need a team for a Renraku Lab and hire the following runners: El Duce, Gallowglass and Coyote.
Confirm your team of runners to travel to the next destination and complete this mission.
Mission 23: Corporate Extraction
Enter the area below with Gallowglass to encounter the security guard and take cover behind the nearby obstacles to fire on the enemy until he’s dead, then send the entire team through the open doorway in the corner and continue moving them south to reach a control room.
Move Coyote within close-range of the first guard to hit him with single shots from her Remington and send your character around the other side to distract the enemy, then use Gallowglass to fire on the next pair of sentries below with fireballs and have the other runners unload aimed or burst shots.
Continue using burst and full auto rounds to eliminate the next pair of guards that appear from above, then approach the indicated desk in the corner to open the available logs and download all the research data.
Send your team into the room to the east and open the next door above to fire aimed shots through it at the nearest guard, then alternate between each runner standing in the doorway to attack the enemies on the other side and ducking back into cover.
Have Gallowglass hit the enemies with stun spells to finish them off with a single shot afterwards, then enter the room above to take cover behind the surrounding obstacles and continue clearing the area with aimed shots.
Move Coyote within close range of the enemies ahead to take them out with her Remington and continue clearing the room until Subject 1 enters from above, then kill the creature with the help of Gallowglass’ powerbolts and eliminate the remaining Lone Star Enforcer to exit the room through the doorway in the corner.
Use aimed shots and powerbolts to eliminate Subject 2 and pass through the next door to the east to speak with Saada, then tell him he’s making a career change and that whoever sent you is definitely interested.
Tell Saad he can beat your employer’s price and that they’re paying you 9,000 nuyen, then knock him out to complete this mission.
Mission 24: Telestrian Industries
Speak with Mr. Johnson in the Union building to hand over the paydata and receive 10,500 nuyen from him, then enter the safe house to speak with Mr. Delilah and hire the following runners: Coyote, Gallowglass and Dodger.
Confirm your selection to travel to Telestrian Industries and encounter Baron Samedi again, then tell him you’re gonna shake the pillars of heaven and open the door above to alert security.
Fire single shots and powerbolts through the open doorway to eliminate the first guard, then enter the room above to take out the remaining enemy and take the access card from his body.
Use the keycard with the computer at the top of the room to unlock the lobby doors and ask Baron Samedi if this is the way the whole run is gonna go, then enter the next corridor above to pass through the door in the corner and encounter another wave of sentries.
Take cover across the first row of three desks to fire aimed shots and fireballs at the guards ahead, then finish clearing the room to run searches at each of the indicated computer terminals in the surrounding area and discover the yellow slip of paper with the code written on it.
Open the door in the corner to locate the next wave of heavily-armed enemies ahead and retreat back into the rows of desks behind you to draw a few sentries into the room, then open fire on them with ball lightning and aimed shots.
Continue eliminating the guards that enter the room, then cast a healing spell on the runners that need it and reload each character’s weapon before proceeding into the area above.
Enter the first room on the right to move through the next door above and have your character approach the computer against the wall to jack into the matrix, then turn the corner ahead to take cover behind the cube-shaped obstacle and eliminate the nearby IC with a killer spell.
Fire a blaster spell amongst the next group of ICs ahead to damage them all at once and create a new separate entity called Attacker ESP, then move this creature out in front of the enemies to now work as a team eliminating them with killer spells.
Return to reality to move the runners in front of the room’s open doors and use single shots or powerbolts to fend off any approaching enemies, then switch back to the virtual world to pass through the next arc and take cover on the other side.
Use killer spells to destroy the surrounding ICs, then return to reality to continue defending the a room with fireballs and aimed shots.
Switch back to the virtual world to hack into both turret systems and pass through the southwest arc to breach the Legal Files Data Store Node, then return to reality to clear out the corridor on the left with Gallowglass’ fireballs and exit the room to approach the next door to the north.
Return to the virtual world to pass through the previous arc and the next one to the northeast, then eliminate the Black IC with killer spells and hack into the Telestrian Patent Applications terminal below.
Pass through the next arc below to proceed north on the other side and encounter the next wave of ICs, then take cover to start firing at them with killer spells and finish clearing the area to hack into the elevator terminal.
Jack out of the LAN to rejoin the team and enter the next elevator above to complete this mission.
Mission 25: Executive Actions
Pass through the first door above and proceed north into the next lobby area, then have Dodger approach the indicated desk to jack back into the matrix and enter the arc ahead to create a Shield Program as a separate entity.
Eliminate the surrounding ICs with killer spells and return to reality to have Gallowglass cast armor spells on the weakest members of your team, then switch back to the virtual world to hack into both security camera terminals and pass through the next arc above to take cover on the other side.
Return to reality to put the rest of your team behind various cover points in the main lobby and in the alcove off to the right, then open fire with single shots and powerbolts on the guards that approach from both open doorways below.
Switch back to the virtual world to eliminate the IC ahead with a series of killer spells and pass through the western arc to hack into Data Store on the other side, then return to return to reality to cast a headlining spell on which runner needs it most and move the rest of the team behind cover into the alcove on the right.
Continue using single shots and powerbolts to defend the lobby, then switch back to the virtual world to pass through the previous arc and the next one to the east.
Use killer spells to eliminate another wave of surrounding ICs and hack into the Personal Comlink Logs, then create an Attack Program as a separate entity and pass through the southeast arc to navigate the next path ahead.
Order all three character to take cover behind the obstacle around the first corner and launch a series of killer and blaster spells against the wave of ICs ahead to start wiping them out, then return to reality to cast a healing spell on which ever runners need it and move them all back into the main lobby area.
Switch back to the virtual world to finish clearing the area and hack into the Personal Correspondence Archive below, then tell Baron Samedi you make your own luck and return to reality to continue defending the lobby with single shots or powerbolts.
Return to the virtual world to heal the two programs on your team and travel through the next arc below to eliminate the ICs on the other side, then hack into the Elevator Control Node below and jack out of the LAN to have Dodger rejoin the team.
Move your team back through the previous room below and send them towards the indicated elevator around the corner to speak with Baron Samedi again. then ask him what’s new and inquire about more information.
Tell Baron Samedi you need all the fire power you can get to enter the elevator and complete this mission.
Mission 26: The Morning After / Collecting the Sample
Tell Baron Samedi he better have a good reason for keeping you there all night and define the situation as ripe for exploitation, then realize that the sample is in the safe and assure him you can handle it.
Approach the lockers in the corner to put on a janitor’s uniform and acquire the commlink chips, then exit the room to move through the next door above and return to the lobby from the previous mission.
Tell the supervisor that cleaning up other people’s messes is what you do and that you’ll stay out of trouble, then enter the first room on the right and use charisma to get the technician out of there.
Examine the console on the wall to place a commlink chip in the power junction and approach the open terminal in the corner to take some of the LAN parts, then return to the lobby area to enter the last room below on the left and use charisma on the guard to get him to leave.
Install a commlink chip at the power junction in the corner and exit the room to pass through the next door below, then use charisma on the worker to gain access to his computer and place the LAN parts around it to get him to leave.
Approach the power junction behind you to install another chip and return to the lobby above to approach the guard in front of the elevator, then tell him about the chips you found and move through the doors behind him to ascend to the executive floor.
Enter the indicated office around the corner to speak with Silverstar and mention the “duty above all” motto, then tell him you prefer “building maintenance” and approach the first painting above on the right that reads “Duty” to push the frame.
Push the frame to the left of the Duty painting and do the same with the one in the opposite corner behind you to open the secret door behind the desk, then enter the back room to examine the safe and return to the office to collect the cigar from the mini-bar.
Approach the safe again to open it with the cigar and take the sample inside, then exit the office to move through the next two doors above and make your first right to enter the corridor below.
Proceed east to make your way into the elevator and exit the building completely, then say good morning to McKlusky and tell him one day he’ll get his to travel to The Estate.
Mission 27: The Estate
Accuse McKlusky of having a leash and tell him you have free will, then speak with Mr. Quoth to call him Jeeves and follow him into the office above on the right to talk to James Telestrian.
Use corporate etiquette and tell James that Sam hired you, then realize that he’s Marie-Louise’s father and that you would be delighted to join him in the library.
Speak with academic etiquette to Harlequin and tell Brackhaus you don’t like the sound of this, then ask if he has the upper-hand and inquire about the magical insecticide.
Question James about why he thinks Project Aegis will work and ask how to use it, then purchase any spells or weapons you need from Aljernon and speak with Brackhaus to burn through the available list of dialogue options.
Exit the library through the doorway below on the left to speak with Mr. Quoth and purchase whatever you can afford from his inventory, then proceed south to talk to Marie-Louise and burn through the available list of questions.
Return to James Telestrian’s office to interrogate him as well and make your way back into the library above to speak with Harlequin, then tell him you’re ready and hire the following runners: Jessie Blue and The Tairngire Ghost.
Confirm your team selection to complete this mission.
Mission 28: The Hunt Begins
Tell Harlequin you have some questions and burn through the available list to learn new information, then exit the room to take cover on the other side and open fire on the gunner beneath you with an aimed shot.
Position your team into cover across the left side of the room and use full-auto fire or Harlequin’s sword at close-range to eliminate the surrounding enemies, then send the team through the cave tunnel above to arrive in a new corridor and proceed south to encounter the guards at the corner below.
Open fire on the nearest guard with aimed shots to send the other enemies into retreat and chase after them to pass through the next door ahead, then continue around the corridor on the other side to reach the open room at the end and take cover behind the rectangular crate above.
Take out the enemies in front of you with aimed shots and full-auto fire, then use Harlequin to kill the guard with the sword and hit the spider with a manabolt.
Eliminate the remaining guards and destroy the spider’s physical form, then open fire on the insect spirit with aegis ammo to eventually kill it and pass through the next door ahead to take out the nearest follower on the other side.
Use single shots to eliminate the next enemy that approaches from above and order Harlequin to heal whichever runners need it most, then order him to fire manabolts at the spiders on the right and have another character do the same with full-auto fire.
Move Harlequin in at close-range to finish off the spiders’ physical forms with his sword and use aegis ammo to eliminate the insect spirits after that, then use a healing spell on which runners need it and approach the monitors above to look at the screens.
Enter the next room ahead to pass through the door on the right and examine the pile of broken bodies on the other side, then examine the barrels in the corner above and raise a new elemental creature to add to the team.
Proceed into the room above to take cover behind the rocks and open fire on the enemies in front of you with aimed shots until the spiders burst onto the scene, then hit these creatures with full-auto rounds and manabolts to destroy their physical forms.
Use the elemental creature to finish off the guards and take out the insect spirits with the help of aegis ammo, then exit the room via the doorway below to enter the first corridor on the right and pass through the entrance around the corner to complete this mission.
Mission 29: Into the Depths
Advise Harlequin to construct an epic poem and turn the first corner ahead to encounter the spider monsters, then take cover amongst the nearby crates and eliminate the creatures’ physical forms with single shots.
Use aegis ammo to defeat the insect spirits and cast a healing spell on the runners that need it, then continue around the corridor to enter the next room in the corner at the end and stand near the entrance to open fire on the enemies ahead with full-auto or spray rounds.
Move your team forward to eliminate the enemy wave at close-range and examine the indicated point above to raise a new elemental creature, then enter the next cave area ahead to encounter another group of spiders and have each runner take a single shot at the monsters in the tunnel before returning them to the previous room.
Take cover around the doorway on the left to eliminate the spider below with full auto fire and Harlequin’s sword, then crouch behind the nearby table to hit the monsters on the right with spray rounds and full-auto fire.
Eliminate the insect spirits that remain with the help of aegis ammo and cast a healing spell on the runners that need it, then proceed forward into the cave to cross the next bridge above and approach the room on the left to fire through the open doorway at the enemies on the other side.
Clear the area with the help of aimed shots and examine the console in the corner to unlock the door, then hack into the safe beside it to collect the Platinum Trauma Kit and inspect the indicated points around the room to pick up additional supplies.
Exit the room to send your team through the next door ahead and arrive in a new corridor, then proceed forward to encounter Jessica in another cave area and tell her this is over.
Tell Lynne the queen will devour her and ask Jessica about Sam’s hunger, then send your team into cover amongst the nearest two rock formations and open fire on Jessica until she retreats.
Use accuracy and armor spells to strengthen your team’s combat skills, then continue attacking Jessica with burst and full-auto fire to chase her further north.
Send Harlequin to the right of Lynne’s location to attack the insect pillar with his sword and use single shots to fend off the next spider that approaches from below, then hit Jessica with a few more rounds of full-auto fire to chase her off towards the east.
Quickly take care of the insect spirits by moving in at close-range with aegis ammo and order Harlequin to finish destroying the pillar, then have him attack Jessica with his sword to further drain her health and continue fending off the other spiders with single or aimed shots.
Continue attacking Jessica until she retreats behind the wall above and have Harlequin follow her to discover another insect pillar, then destroy it with the sword and cast a healing spell on the runners that currently need it most.
Fire on the remaining insect pillars with aimed shots to destroy each one of them as they open and continue eliminating the surrounding spiders with the help of aegis ammo, then send Harlequin after Jessica to attack her repeatedly with the sword until the ceremony has been stopped.
Finish defeating the spiders and their spirits to reach the final nesting room, then tell Jessica there’s still hope for her and take her with you before she’s eaten by the spiders to complete this mission.
Mission 30: Out of the Shadows
Ask James “what about me?” and demand McKlusky’s badge, then assume that it’s a no-brainer and mention the opening for a new VP of security.
Tell Coyote this is a little more involved than you expected and inquire if she’s going back to destroy the BTL trade, then use charisma to trick McKlusky and ask Harlequin if there’s a problem.
Ask Harlequin if they can control the press and if he trusts James, then mention the massive conspiracy and burn through the remaining list of questions available.
Speak with Jake to tell him that she’s in custody and that you’re in, then say hello to Dresden and inform him that you have no idea what he means.
Tell Dresden you’re not sure you care anymore and that it’s time to end this thing, then approach the indicated phone to call the law firm and ask if the guy is even a lawyer.
Inform Dresden that Sam said nothing to complete the game.
