In the Thick of It
When you start the game, you can choose characters to suit your playstyle. They range from slow and take a lot of punishment, to fast and fragile. Once you begin, you’ll notice that Rise of the Triad is very fast paced and can be felt especially in terms of movement. Push through the concrete compound toward the fence with the rocket launcher behind it.
Move ahead past the towers and you’ll soon face your first enemies, with one trying to shoot you on top of a row of hover discs. Quickly take them out. Past the hover discs is an outhouse on the right. Step on the triad symbol on the ground. It will open a door, giving you access to the rocket launcher behind the fence.
Leave this secret area, then hang a left to the double metal doors, past the red banners. Once you open the door, you’ll face a swarm of enemies. Up ahead, you’ll also see an outpost with a searchlight above. Kill all the enemies in the outpost, along with any scattered around the grounds.
Grab the coins on the left and right side of the outpost. In front of the outpost is a bounce pad. Jump on it to quickly get inside the outpost. Crouch by pressing “Left Control” to enter, then grab the heat seeker. Pull the switch inside the outpost to open the gate. Also, from the entrance is a small tower on the left, where you can grab bullet armor.
Now pull the switch next to the double metal doors behind the outpost. Kill the enemies the reside here, then jump on the bounce pad onto the hover discs. Up ahead are some Prince of Persia-esque traps, spinning blades.
From the edge of the hover disc platform, jump to the pipes on the left side wall past the fire. From here you can dodge the last set of spinning blades to grab the god mode power up. Using this, you’ll be temporarily invincible, while you use your hand to decimate foes.
Head to the open gate, kill the enemies on top, then use the moving platform to get on top. Choose a side, then head down the stairs to enter the next area. Gib more enemies, then proceed to the double doors with two torches on both sides.
Upon entering, you’ll see a building in the middle with hover platforms all around it. Take care of the enemies in the vicinity, and grab the coins, especially the room with the bouncy pads where the coins form an arc.
There’s a corner in this area where there are boxes stacked on next to a hole in the wall, down a set of stairs. Blow up the boxes, then enter the hole to grab some medium coins.
Head through the double doors with lamps attached to the walls on each side. Immediately shoot the enemy, then hang a left. You’ll see metal boxes in front of a bouncy pad that’s illuminating the walls blue. Use the pad to access a secret area, complete with two enemies and horde of small coins.
Head back down and take out more enemies as the path hooks a left. Careful of the soldiers on the balconies. There are hover pads that work like elevators to lead up to the balconies. Keep following the path given as more enemies fall by the wayside.
Soon, garage doors will open on the left side. Destroy your enemies, then grab more coins. Keep pushing forward. You’ll see a bouncy pad jump up top the next structure. Head up, grab more coins, then drop down.
There’s a bouncy pad on some metal grates which you can use to get more small coins. When all the enemies have been defeated and you grabbed as many coins as you can, follow the grates to the exit. It’s a metal door labeled “Exit”.
Burned and Amazed
Make a left along the path to continue your adventures through this concrete fortress. Grab the rocket launcher leaning on the wooden pallet on the left before heading through the metal doors into a courtyard.
Destroy the enemies that confront you in the courtyard. Directly across from the metal doors you entered is a room with rows of small coins to pick up. When you leave the room, head up the stairs just ahead.
When you reach the top of the stairs, turn to the left to where the red banners are. Move along the railing to grab medium coins. Keep walking on the railing. You’ll see a row of medium coins on the balcony above. Jump on top of the boxes, then leap to the ledge to get the coins.
Jump down, then head back up the stairs again, then open the next set of metal doors. Blast the enemies occupying the outside area, then enter the open doorway on the right. Kill enemies as you move along. Grab the small coins down the hallway, then enter the room, the first left as you reach the end of the hallway, right before the coins.
Clear the room, then head up the elevator, which are made up of hover discs. Kill the lone guard when you reach the top, then snatch some more small coins by the tables. Flip the switch on the panel by the window highlighted by an orange light.
Exit the room, move down the hall to grab the rocket launcher, then eliminate two guards when you head outside. Grab more coins before heading down the stairs. Hang a right, then make a left down the alleyway. Enter through the gate.
Kill more soldiers as you pass by buildings with garage doors on the left and right. Enter two of the garage doors to grab coins. Head back out through the gate you entered, then head left. You’ll see a crumbled pillar leaning on a wall. Climb up to the top of the wall.
Hop on top of the buildings to grab more coins. There are also some down around the perimeter of the building. Now do the same for the other garage door buildings. When you’re done collecting, head through the next set of metal doors.
Once you enter, you’ll be fired upon. There are two platforms on the left and right side that contain small coins, along with a bounce pad that kind of connects the platforms by medium coins. Take out the soldiers, then collect the small coins on each platform.
Enter the room across from the metal gates you used to enter to stock up on some change. Once you’re done, hook a right to continue your way through the fortress.
You’ll reach more metal doors, past a table on the right with bowls of food on top. Go in blasting, aiming for the soldier inside the building with the silver coins on top. To grab the coins, head left up the stairs, then when you have enough height, jump on top the building to get the coins. Going either left or right will lead you to the same area.
On the right is a building with a row of windows. Head to the left building first to grab more coins, then head for the building with the windows. The building is a shooting range. Eliminate more enemies, then push through the range.
Head to the room with the metal shelves with a ton of small coins to collect. Exit the room into the next outdoor area, full of pillars with garage doors. Only one building can be entered here and it’s through an elevator. Head up, shoot the guard, grab the coins, then head to the next area via ramp.
Neutralize the enemies here, then head to the large metal doors. You’ll see a plethora of hover platforms above. Take out the enemies, then jump on the discs via bounce pad to grab the coins.
Continue following the path down until you reach a tower with gunners inside. Take out the gunners and their friends that begin to surround you. Use the bounce pad on top of the box to get the coins inside the tower. Drop down, head to the left of the tower and move underneath the triad symbol.
Hang a right and move parallel to the fence on the left side. Grab the coins inside the room on the right side where the enemies spawn, then continue up the stairs on the left side. Continue demolishing enemies as you push forward.
Doors will open up in front of you before you reach the stairway on the right side by the fire. Mow the enemies down, then head up the stairs. A truck will crash into the building. Head out, obliterate the enemies, then enter the door under the banners to finish the level.
Too Much Room
What a great way to start a level by avoiding spinning blades. Quickly move past them, shoot the guards on the balconies on the left and right side, then head up the staircase. Move through the corridor. The first door on the right houses a locker room. Grab the small coins in the room, and take out the guard.
Take the door, second one from the left, and take out the guard in the room where they sleep. It’s filled with cots. Kill more guards and collect more coins. Take the door on the left side. This will exit the room and put you back into the hallway. Shoot the guards on the left underneath glowing red light, then move down the hallway, to the right, into the double doors.
Grab the coins inside, by the “no entry” doors, then head back out. Continue down the hallway and turn right past the bathroom doors. You’ll enter a control room. Take out more guards, then head left, past the flame throwing wall that subsides in about 4 second intervals.
Look ahead for the tower that’s surrounded by explosive barrels. Head up the tower, then flip the orange lit switch. Head back down and all the garage doors will open. They’re filled with baddies. The garage door on the right contains coins, and the one on the left, nabs you the silver key to continue. Head back to the control room to open the silver garage door.
Kill the lone guard, then make a right into the vent. You’ll enter a room where another lone guard will soon turn into gibs. Enter the next vent. If you continue toward the grate, you’ll enter a medium secret area to grab a weapon. Head back out and make a right into the next room with two enemies. Kill them, then take the coins on top of the metal shelves.
Exit through the door with the mushroom. Take it and you’ll feel a bit woozy. How this is a powerup, I don’t know. Head right into the vehicle garage. There are two of them, connected by a hallway on the ground floor and the second.
Use the bounce pads in both garages to nab the coin arcs. Use the hover discs to get to the balconies to grab more coins. Take out the guards on the bottom floor first before you start coin collecting. The first vehicle garage, before the flaming hallway, contains bullet armor on the first floor. To get it, simply head to the second floor above that room, then drop down the vent.
Exit through the reddish/brown metal doors with the triad symbol. Kill the enemies that swarm the hallways, then enter the warehouse with tons of metal shelves. Grab the coins on top of the shelves as you take out the baddies.
Continue forward to the balcony, through the doors next to the windows. Grab the gold key, they flip both switches in the room. More enemies will swarm the place. Two garage doors will open on the left and right. Grab the coins and loot inside.
Exit out the way you came, then hang a left to open the gold door with the gold key. You’ll need to dodge this fireball filled hallway. Before you proceed, take out the enemies ahead. You’ll enter a huge courtyard with rooms high above you can enter. Of course there are enemies. If you can, take out the ones on the balconies.
Enter the little outpost and head up to kill a guy and flip a switch. This will open two more buildings. Take out the enemies that emerge, then enter one of the buildings to use the elevator. Use the bounce pad to jump on the closest platform alongside the walls and use the moving hover discs to continue up.
Make your way around the platforms, while entering the rooms to grab coins and kill enemies. When you make your way around, you’ll reach a platform with a switch. Flip it on and a key you need to exit the level will appear below on the ground floor, highlighted by a spot light.
Before heading down however, continue up. There’s a secret area above that can be reached by using the bounce pad along the wall that’s placed at an angle. It might take a few tries, but it will be worth it. Once you reach it, grab the coins, then god mode.
Drop down, grab the key, kill some guards, grab coins inside the garage doors, then head up to the platform that’s marked by coins shaped like an arrow. Open the door, take out the soldiers inside, then flip the switch to exit.
Spring Surprise
Move down the hallway. Make a left to grab the rocket launcher, then continue down the hallway. The metal doors ahead will slide open. Use that rocket launcher. You’ll enter a room with banners hanging on pillars. Use the bounce pad to get on the balcony into the control room. Flip the switch, then take out the incoming guards.
Push through the now opened barred gate. Kill the enemies, then grab the coins before heading into the next room. Neutralize two more enemies here, then head for the triad door. Move past the spinning blades to get the gear in the alcove on the right where the shelves are.
Move ahead and enter the room on the left as the blades pass by. Grab the coins on the other side of the fence, wait for the blades to go by again, then enter the room. Exit out to the other side through another sliding double door. You’ll enter another room with a barred gate ahead and pillars and balconies on the left and right side.
Destroy the enemies in the room and grab the coins on the balconies. From the balcony, you can jump into the little outpost to grab more coins. Move through the barred gate toward the blue light ahead (labeled 13), and collect the coins using the bounce pad. At the end of this room, grab the gold key.
Leave the room, then make your way past the spinning blades. Enter the hallway on the right with the floor marked “gold”. Enter the room, kill the two guards, then proceed to exit the room. Hang a left toward the double doors. You’ll enter a pretty big prison facility with spinning blades on both sides. Grab the coins in the middle using the bounce pad.
Use the bounce pads to get to the other side, then head toward the metallic triad doors. You’ll see hover discs moving left and right over a gap. Grab the coins in the hole, then bounce back up and use the discs to get across. Step on the long line of discs to head up.
Shoot the enemy in the face because it’s preferred, then move down the control room to grab the silver key floating above a nice rug. Jump down, hang a right and kill some enemies. You’ll spot a switch that will open a barred door. Use it and head up the staircase to reach the second level.
Continue right down the walkway, avoiding the rather large wall of spikes. Soon you’ll see more stairs that lead to the next floor. Before you head up, take the stairs down to grab coins to enter a secret area containing a rocket launcher. Head up to the third level, hook a left, then neutralize more baddies.
Continue until you reach a control room. Head through, until you flip a switch. It will sound an alarm. Back track, then make a right. Wait for the bridge to come down. Enter the outpost, grab god mode, then flip the switch. Cross the bridge on the other side as you eliminate foes with reckless abandon.
Continue right to find a secret area with an interesting portrait on the wall. Leave the room, turn right a bit, then jump down to the second level. Take the stairs down. Soon, you’ll reach a mini-control room. Kill the guard, then flip the switch.
Exit the room, then head back to the center of the prison. Shutter doors will open from the ground floor. Eliminate the guards that spawn, then drop down into the sewer, then head for the stairway that leads to more spinning blades.
Push forward as you pass by the first spinning blade then make a right. Continue down the hallway. Wait for the blade next to the barred gate to move away from you before you reach a brief respite. Grab some food by the tables, then continue down the hallway. Move past the blood splatter.
Proceed through, using the alcove on the right side for a breather. Keep pushing through until you reach a switch that will open the gate. Once it’s open, hang a left. Time to jump on platforms over a burning, spiked pit. Yay!
Jump from pillar to pillar until you reach the exit.
General Darian’s Lair
Jump down the chute, then head for the spinning red warning light. Follow the hallway, then flip the switch between the lockers on the right side. Head back to the part of the hallway with the red light spinning. A room will be opened. Grab a coin and a fancy new gun.
Continue down the hallway. Deviate a bit, then take the stairs up into the room with the window to grab bullet armor. Make a right past the hallway with another spinning red light. Head up the stairs to grab more armor, then drop down to enter the doors.
It’s pretty much an arena in here as enemies spawn from the sliding doors. Use your new found gun to lay down some fire. The doors on the right where some of the enemies spawn will be filled with health and guns. Use this room as a choke point.
Once the flames start appearing in front of the doors, head out to fight Darian. He’ll be up above on a crane. There will also be a blue barrier that you’ll need to jump over as you fire up at the crane. Keep firing until his health goes down, then enter the room once again.
You’ll notice that spikes will come up from the ground. When those go away, fireballs will move across the room and Darian can now fire rockets. Duck in and out of the room as you fire upon the crane to chip away at the second health bar. Once it’s down, Darian will crash and crawl out.
From here, strafe around him and keep firing as his health chips away. If you need to duck inside the rooms to grab more health, do so, then continue firing. Soon, Darian will run into a little malfunction, giving you an advantage.
Into the Castle
Before moving through the arch-way inside the castle, look to your left, up the stairs, to grab a rocket launcher. Once outside, the game looks a little bit more colorful. Use the rocket launcher, taking out baddies as you pass by the stone triad decoration.
Head toward the right as you pass by under the wooden beams. Enter the room after you pass by the staircase to grab a dog power-up, which turns you into a, well, a dog. Head back out to use your new found ability. Take the stairs up past the stone triad symbol. Keep moving up the stairs and you’ll see pathway aligned with pillars.
Take out the enemies halting your progress on the pathway, then make a left along the path at the top of the stairs. Enter the first room on the right, then flip the switch on the panel.
When you exit the room, look to the right. You’ll see pillars next to some trees. Jump on the tops of these pillars. It will lead you to a medium secret area.
Move down the path, grab the coins on the canopy on the right, then make a left before the tower ahead.
Eliminate more enemies, then move up the long stair case. When you reach the top, look right into a tower you can jump into. There are coins inside as well as a weapon. Across from the tower where you just got the weapon is a room with a switch to flip.
Head to the opposite room along the walkway with the barrels to flip another switch. Move up the stairway. You’ll reach a section called “Wall to Wall. Head right and use the bounce pad to get on the second floor. Neutralize more enemies. Enter the room on the right to find a room full of coins.
Make your rounds around the second floor. Grab the weapon if you need to. Now face the courtyard on the bottom positioning yourself to where the weapon was. Head right to the gated door. You’ll enter an area with a lot of plants. Destroy the room, grab the coins on top of the wooden beams, then take the gold key on top of the well.
Now head back inside. Stay on the first floor to open the gold door. Grab the coins in the next room that looks like a wine cellar without the wine. When you head up, the doors will bust open. You’ll have to deal with Big John. Use the sides of the room for cover and lay fire on him.
Enter the room where Big John came out from, then take the stairs on the left past the fire. Explore the room by jumping onto the second floor to grab coins. You’ll find a big secret area here with medium coins by the rubble. When you’re done head back up the stairs through the metal doors. You’ll see a tree down below.
Move along the perimeter the grab coins before jumping down and grabbing the baseball bat. Once you grab it, a slew of enemies will spawn. Take them out with the bat, then use your weapons when the bat goes away.
Past the tree, enter the room with the wooden platform up above. It will lead you to a room with wooden pillars. This room spews fireballs. Stay along the right side wall, then open the door. Follow the room into the next one that houses the silver key.
Move ahead through the metal door, grab the gun, then crouch through the hole in the wall. Get the coins inside this medium secret area. Head back out to the fireball room, then open the silver door next to the banners.
Follow the corridor, then avoid the spikes that come down from the ceiling. From here you can go straight left or right. Head straight. Grab the coins as the spinning blades whirl by, then open the door.
You’ll enter a room with coins placed on top of the chandeliers above. Eliminate the foes in the room, then head up the staircase. When you reach the second floor, make things easier, by blowing up more baddies.
There’s a room next to the top of the stairs. Enter it, shoot the barrels, then crouch underneath the hole to explore a retro area with coins. Head back out the grab the rest of the coins in the room.
Once you have them all, move past the room with the dead body in it, then follow the corridor. Eliminate more baddies as you push forward. Soon, you’ll reach the exit.
The Room
Move forward, then make a left, past the torch down the stairs. Enter the wooden door with triad symbol above it. In the room ahead will be spinning blades with a weapon behind it, covered in mist.
Grab the weapon, then head up the stairs on the left. There’s a loose stone that you can press. Head back down and it will open a secret chamber, with armor inside. Head back out, then enter the room below the wooden staircase.
Look for some stone blocks inside the cave. It will push back when you get close.
Grab the silver coins, then keep pushing against walls of stone blocks until you reach the sunshine outside. Take the stairs up on the left. Grab the gold key next to the platform that a statue stands upon.
Take the stairs up the platform, then enter the room on the left to flip a switch. It will open wooden double doors ahead. Head inside as you move through a cave. You’ll then reach an area called “Great Halls of Fire”. Move through the corridors. Time your movements and use the pillars for cover.
Step on the hover disc as you move over a river of lava. Transfer to the next disc while still above the lava, then continue following the corridor. Step onto the next disc while being above more lava. Transfer to the spinning discs. Eventually, you’ll be past the lava into a room with more fire.
Head to the room with key in the middle that’s protected by a force field. What you need to do here is turn the pillars surrounding the orb to face it. Pull the levers on the wall, then step on the stone blocks near the pillars to turn it. When in position, step on the tablet in front of the orb, then grab the gold key.
Exit the room, then take the door on the right. You’ll be outside the courtyard with the statue in the middle. Take out the baddies near the statue, then use the gold key on the back left door from the statue. Flip the switch. It will open the door directly in front of you.
You’ll enter an area called “Blade Runner Part Deux”. Before heading to the corridor, there’s a wall that slides open on the right side with two sets of armor. With that equipped head into the spinning blade filled corridor.
Time your movements. You’ll reach a room with four triad symbols on the corners that are guarded by spikes that periodically raise up. Step on these symbols.
Head up the stairs, then flip the switches in the rooms on the left and right, each down a narrow corridor. Now move down the ramp to grab the gold key. To the right of gold key is a stone that slides open. Crawl through, then flip the switch to open the door.
You’ll be outside again. Enter the room on the back right of the statue using the gold key. Flip the switch, then enter the next set of doors that open directly in front of you. You’ll enter an area called “Egads” filled with nice rugs, hover discs and fireballs.
Head to the right, then take the hover disc up until you reach the hover disc that moves you across the room. Jump from disc to disc until you make it to the next stone platform. Keep using the discs to gain elevation. Use the two bounce pads to grab the gold key.
Use the second bounce pad to jump to a medium secret room, then jump back down to gain access to the fourth door. Use the gold key, then flip the switch to open the last door.
Enter “Bouncy Castle”, then use the bounce pad to get to the next area. Use the angled bounce pads to jump into a room with graffiti that’s signed “El Oscuro Lives!”. Jump from bounce pad to bounce pad over the bottomless pit until you grab the gold key at the top.
Once you do, a hover disc will transport you over the chasm. Run past the fireballs to the door on the right. Head back out to the statue, then open the door in the middle. Flip the switch to open the door ahead.
Obliterate the enemies past the doors, then head for the door with triad symbol above it to finish the level.
Spiraling In
As you begin the level, don’t head outside just yet. Follow the corridor on the right to shoot a baddie in the face, then head the opposite direction down the same corridor, until you grab a weapon. From here, you can drop down to the courtyard below with a gigantic tree in the middle.
Push a triad stone symbol to open a secret area filled with armor and coins. Grab the coins on the wooden platform along with the ones that are lined up by bounce pads. Flip the lever inside the alcove underneath the giant triad symbols on the castle wall.
Head up the stairway that lead to the start of the level, then move toward the tower. Use the hover discs to move past the giant triad symbols to the next tower. Kill more enemies, then enter through the wooden doors.
Hang a right down the corridor as you pass underneath the chandeliers above. Eventually, you’ll face more enemies in an open area on the right side. Take them out, then continue down the corridor. You’ll see the gold door on the left.
Open the door at the end of the corridor. You’ll reach an area with a hover disc bridge high above. Take out the folks on top, then flip the lever by the giant triad symbols. Head up the stairs around the back of the tower. Grab the coins on the wooden platform, then continue down the path until you drop down down into a stone corridor with the gold key.
Grab the key, then move forward. A door will open and will lead you directly to the gold door. You’ll enter a long hallway with a row of fireballs heading in your direction. Simply jump over them as they come, take out some baddies, then time your way through a wall of fire.
Continue following the hallway as you pass by fancy rug after fancy rug. Strafe your way through the spikes, then keep pushing forward. Take care of some enemies that pop out of cargo containers, then proceed to another hallway with torches hanging on the sides.
Enter the door on the right to grab small coins and bullet armor. Leave the room, then keep following the corridor. An enemy will appear above and behind you. Take him out, then jump on top of the boxes on the right side to get the coins where the enemy used to be.
Keep following the rugs until you reach “Eight Ways to Heck”. It’s a room with giant pillars that have hover discs inbetween them. Use the bounce pad on the left to jump on the blue cargo container grabbing coins in the process.
Behind the red containers is another bounce pad. Grab the coins on top of the containers, then head for the hallway. The doors will shut opening up more doors with enemies. Splatter their eyeballs on your screen, then enter the room near the blue containers. Flip the switch inside. It will open the shut doors.
Move down the hallway as you take out more enemies. Enter the fourth door on the right to exit the level.
Four Way Chamber
From the hallway, enter the tiled room decorated with archways and pillars. Head right, blow up some bad guys, then climb the stairs to collect some coins. If you notice there’s a room full of coins behind a gate. To the right of the gate is a wall which can be pressed in giving access to the room.
Move past the pillar with the spinning blades into the arched hallway. Turn left at the “T” to take out an enemy, then enter the torture room on the right. Pull the lever in the corner. It will activate the spiked door that opens and closes. Time your movement, then head inside.
Shoot the guard in the room, kill the enemy, then pull the next lever to gain access to the next room. Shoot more baddies in a room filled with chains hanging from the ceiling.
Pull the lever in this room, then head back to the previous room. This room also has a lever, but you’ll be confronted with a trap from above. Time your movement when the spikes move up to pull the lever. Head back to the first torture room you entered. The other door will now be open.
Head through to the next room containing shelves and pallets. Exit through the other side and you’ll be faced with a room full of lava. Kill the soldiers here and grab the coins on the perimeter.
Head for the control room. There are three switches. Hit the left switch, then the right, and lastly the middle. Run to the hover discs across the way on the left. Head down as you descend, then immediately take out the soldiers in a small room with multiple triad symbols on the wall.
Move around to take the next hover disc down. Grab the small coins, kill more bad guys, then head down another level. Kill the two baddies in this room, then dodge the spinning blades as you enter the next area, “Barrelling Down”. Move through the hallway, while timing your movement to get past the spikes above. Head down the hallway, then flip the unlit torch to open a sliding wall.
Follow this hallway down to have a meeting with some soldiers. You’ll enter a room with a primary structure in the middle with bounce pads. Use the pads to get to the second floor balcony to grab some small coins. From here, drop down and head through the open door way, then use the bounce pads to cross over a lake of lava, Sonic the Hedgehog style.
Aim for the balcony above to grab the gold key, head through the hallway then drop down the shaft. Continue through as you pass by more pallets and boxes. Enter through the open doorway with the light above it. Make your way back to the room with the bounce pads, then open the gold door inside this room.
Push forward down the hallway. You’ll enter an area with cages. Clear the way and take the hover disc on the left up. Open the metal door and you’ll be in a room with hanging meat. Humans included. Grab the mushroom by the door, then clear the way as you head back to the main room.
Use the bounce pad in the middle of the room to get on the metal scaffolding above to grab some coins and armor. Flip the switch on the wall, then drop back down. Notice the table with the triad symbol on it? Hang a left from there as you enter a room with trap doors that lead to a pool of lava.
Enter through the next door to reach a room full of cages. Use the bounce pads to make your way through as you collect coins. When you reach the end, you’ll hit a hover disc. Take it up, then head down a flaming hallway. Follow it down to a downward ramp.
There are a ton of coins in this room, but it also has a spinning wall of blades. Follow the blades around as you collect the coins, grab the bronze key in the corner, then exit through the other side.
You’ll enter the room with the bounce pad that leads up to the metal scaffolding. Take the bounce pad, then open the door above using the bronze key. Flip the switch inside the cage, then drop back down. Head back to the hanging meat room, the drop down into the hole where the spinning blades are to grab a silver key. Use the bounce pad to get back up.
Head back out to the main room, get on the scaffolding and make sure all the levers are facing down. Drop back down to enter the area “Blood and Whiskey”. Walk over the pool as you shoot your way through.
Use the hover disc bridge to get across it will collapse, ending the level.
Sebastian Doyle Krist
You’ll land in a pool of blood in this second boss encounter. Pull the chain to open a wooden door, then head up the stairs. You’ll see the life meter for the boss appear.
Grab the gun, then the armor below the stairs before heading out into the arena. Use the bounce pad to jump to the small alcove with weapons hanging on the side. Kill the enemies that appear as they bust through the doors.
You’ll see the boss, enveloped in a force field, shooting a laser at you. There are identical alcoves like this on the sides of the arena. Use them to take cover as you keep moving. Use the weapon that throws out multiple explosives at once.
It should take about four or five shots to take out Krist as he flies in the air. The bottom of the arena will open as he falls into a pool of blood. Drop down and keep shooting him with the explosive weapon. Use the boxes for cover and fire at him until he goes down.
Robotricks
New enemies! Robots! Move along the metal scaffolding, then take down the robot on the bottom. Take the hover disc across the room. Take out the baddies in the lab, then hop on some boxes to grab the coins above.
Move through the sliding door (that hisses when you open it!), then grab the armor inside the crate on the right. Follow the walkway to grab the gold key. Drop down, then head into the misty, tiled hallway.
Enter the room, then make a right into a hallway. Follow the pipes down. An explosion will occur. Quickly make a right. The door will open and close, so time your movement to head inside. Destroy the robots inside the room and the soldiers on the second floor. Use the bounce pad to gain a height advantage as well as to grab more coins.
Move past the tube that glows blue energy, into the hallway. Shoot the loose vent on the right side to enter a secret area. Make a right from the shaft into another lab. Kill the baddies, grab the coins, then take the hover disc up at the end of the room.
Take the walkway into the control room in the middle, then drop back down as you face more robots and soldiers. Take the metal walkway on the left side to switch a panel, then drop down to the bottom most level. A door will open highlighted in green under the walkway. Take it down to “You’re my Wanderwall”.
Hang a left inside the sewers. You’ll reach a moving block. Follow it to reach the next area and blow some bad guys up. Take the stairs down, then ride the hover disc as it rotates around the pit below. Grab the coins, then head through the open doorway as the disc comes back around.
Shoot the bad guys around the ball of blue energy in the next room. Move ahead. You’ll see the silver room on the left. Take a right, then head up the stairs. Follow it to grab the silver key. Use the key to open the door.
As you move through the hallway of spinning blades it will collapse leading you to the next area. Push through and four robots will emerge from pillars. Turn them to scrap, grab the coins on the left and right walkways, then proceed through the door.
Down and Over
Move past the leaky pipe. Use the bounce pads in the water to grab the coins. The walkway on the left side leads to a shaft. Grab more coins, then drop down to the room below. Follow the row of coins that leads to the metal door.
Destroy the robot int he hallway, then head through the next metal door. Kill the bad guys in the storage room, then move down to the room with the cargo containers. Head down to the room with the ray of blue energy.
Use the bounce pad to get to the second floor to grab the gold key in the previous room. Robots will emerge. Take them out, then head for the sliding door marked “gold”. Head through to “Technical Ecstasy” into a circular room with spinning blades. Kill the enemy here up above, then take the bounce pads to flip the two switches above.
Jump back down to enter the newly opened room. Take the stairs on the left. Grab the coins on the walkway, then enter the control room. Move along the rotating hover discs, then drop down on the left to grab “God Mode”. Grab the silver key when you exit.
Head up the staircase through another control room, then down another set of stairs. Push through to the yellow door opened by the silver key. You’ll reach a room with switch panels. Kill the baddies in here, then enter the next room.
There’s a red button in the middle that allows you to rotate the bounce pad on the wall. Turn it so you’ll be slung forward, then back. The pad will push you through the yellow metal door above. Clear the room, then step on the hover discs as it slowly makes its way over molten lava.
When you reach the end, enter the elevator, then flip the switch. Enemies will attack periodically. Destroy them as they come. When they’re all dead, the level will end.
Dead in 5 Seconds
Exit the elevator into the hallway. Wen you get close a lava waterfall will come down. Move back, wait for it to go away, then continue forward. Make a left through the red triad door.
Shoot the guard in the room, then head for the garage. Eliminate the enemies. Crouch under the truck to gain access to a secret area with a staff, then take the stairs up back to the garage.
Move through the yellow metal door and use that stick. Exit through the other side, then hang a left at the hallway. Keep moving through the rooms and hallways as you pass by more metal doors. To the left is an open vent, drop down, grab coins, then exit to find more enemies.
Enter the yellow sliding door to access the “Blast Pitt”. Make your way past the windows and say hello to Mr. Robot. Grab the coins by the panels, then head up through the sliding door. Make your way around as you take out another robot.
Enter the sliding door until you reach a room with a panel on it. Flip the switch, then head back out to the room with the circular barrier. Head to the room opposite of the one you just came from. Head down the stairs near the red light by the door. Head all the way down to grab coins, then head up.
The next room contains fireballs and spinning blades. Look down to find a vent on the side of the wall. You’ll now be entering “Get Vent”. Move past the blades when you exit, the head down the stairs. The room ahead is in rubble. Move past the fireballs to climb the stairway.
Climb the boxes in the next room to move through a vent. Drop down as you kill more bad guys. The blades here will be on tracks, so move carefully. Enter the metal doors to grab the row of coins, while avoiding the fireballs as you run down the hallway.
Head down one level until you reach a lake of lava. Use the hover discs to make your way across, then head into the hallway on the right as more robots are turned into scrap metal.
Enter the room, then crouch into the vent ahead. Drop down into “The Floor is Lava”. Jump on the tables then aim for the hallway past the pouring lava. Follow the hallway down until you reach another circular room with a metal barrier.
Enter the room with the robot in it, then push through to grab the silver key. Exit the room, then follow the path around the barrier. Enter the metal door. Look out the window to see a majestic view of the lava, then enter the door into the cave.
Clear and Present Dangers
Follow the path through the caves. You’ll reach an opening with a facility and crystals on the ceiling. Eliminate the baddies in the room, take the hover discs (in the form of stairs) up, then cross the wooden bridge. Climb the boxes next to the building to grab the coins.
Drop down the vent on top of the building to flip the switch. Open the door, hang a left and the wall of hover discs on the left will open up. Follow it as it makes a bridge, then jump on the bounce pads to reach “Harrison Fjord”.
Move through the mining carts as you take out enemies on the wooden walkway on the right side. Move underneath the walkway, then head to the right of it as you stay underneath. Jump on the tall rock, then jump on the wooden walkway. Grab the coins, then cross the walkway.
Head up the hallway, but quickly come back down as a boulder will begin to roll down. When it crashes head back up, grab the dog power, drop down, then move down the corridor. Kill all the guards in the next area. Head inside the building to flip the panel. It will open the gate by the gray stone wall where the pipe is leaking.
Move through, jump on the really hot rocks into “Moatin’ Lava”. Head up the stairs, then cross the wooden bridge ahead underneath the crystal formation. Follow the rock path along the left hand side. Jump on the rocky pillar, then step on the hover disc. Take it along for the ride until you reach the metal walkway.
Head left down the walkway, then follow the narrow path on the right as you overlook another lake of lava. Kill the annoying guard that drops down in the distance. Grab the armor on the pillar, then jump onto the metal platform. Move to the square archway, then follow it. Head back down because there’s going to be an Indiana Jones boulder on the way.
Head through the room on the left hand side as you pass by pockets of fire. Climb the stairs, then head inside the hallway that’s shaped like a triad symbol. The floor will turn into beams leading down. Jump on the beams to grab armor ahead, then drop down.
Move ahead into a room with more crystal formations and a mine cart track. From the entrance head right into a rocky ramp that leads up. Stay to the right, then shoot the boulders on the wall to have them drop to gain access to a medium secret area.
Drop down underneath the rail track and enter the hallway. Follow it until you reach another cave housing a truck and some construction equipment with more bad guys. Head to the door on the right next to the triad symbol.
Flip the switch, then enter the door on the left side of the triad symbol. Flip the switch in this room. Eliminate the robots that spawn, then enter the exit.
Know Thine Nme
Move through the caves and follow the path on the left. Enter the facility ahead marked by a number 13. Push through the spinning blades until you reach the elevator. Push the button and the elevator will take you down.
You’ll enter the boss room. Get a feel for the layout. There are cargo containers and pillars that have bounce pads attached to them. The boss will be in the middle shielded by a force field. Grab the explosive on top of the cargo container near the entrance. Use the rocket launcher gain a higher elevation if you need to.
Shoot the robot boss to get it started. When the force field is down, shoot it. It will take about 8 to 9 shots from the explosive weapon to take it out. Use the cargo container for cover. When his health goes down to zero, that’s it.
Monky Business
Head outside into a lovely garden. Hook a right, the prepare to fight some monks who take a bunch of damage. Make your way around the church. Enter the door with the green eyes above to grab some armor. Grab the coins in these rooms, then keep following the right side wall.
Eventually, you’ll find bounce pads. Jump up to the second floor, then make your way around to open more doors underneath those creepy green eyes. More monks will surround you, so be prepared with bullets.
Take the bridge to the other side, then make a right. Head through the door on the left, then enter the corridor. Fight more monks as you reach a trio of waterfalls. Make a right before the waterfalls. You’ll see a hover disc bridge above. Move under it, then head toward the right side once you reach the grassy area.
You’ll see a church ahead. Opposite this church is another one, which requires a gold key to enter. Run behind it to grab the dog power up. Take out those monks by tearing up some crotches. Head inside the church where you got the dog ability.
Grab the coins by the church pews, then grab the gold key in between the two statues. Now head for the gold door to enter “Sin Reloaded”. Move right up to the stairs, then take a left across the bridge to grab the magic staff. Head up with stairs with your new found weapon.
You’ll reach a grassy area with a huge gate in front of you that needs a silver key to open. Head left into a room with structural arches and torches. Follow the path down as you walk over red rugs. You’ll reach an area with bloody waterfalls. Run past these as you fight more enemies to reach an area with floating hover discs above.
The pillars that have waterfalls flowing down them contain levers. Turn them to open the doors. Explore each room to find coins, food and weapons. Press up against one of the sacrificial tables, which have sharp teeth on them to nab a silver key.
Back track all the way back the giant metal gate. Use the silver key, and use the wand to electrocute your foes. Gather coins around the building before you head in.
Fire and Brimstone
Hang a left by the hallway. Take the hover discs up on the right side wall. Jump on top of the moving hover disc to grab more coins, then exit the hallway. You’ll enter an area with a burning fire up ahead. Move past it and blow some monks up.
Jump through the stained glass window on the right side before the burning fire to enter a secret area. Head back down the hallway, then take a right through the wooden doors on the right.
When you head toward the podium, the floor will crumble underneath. Get ready to fight more monks. Make your way underground to the hover disc elevator. Grab the wand when you reach the top, then eliminate the remaining foes in the area.
The gap that crumbled will form a bridge for you to get across. From the bridge make a right, then head up the stairs. A wall will slide down revealing more enemies. Pull the lever in the room, then exit back out the way you came. You’ll enter a courtyard with a hover disc bridge spanning the gap. The section is named “Stupid Dog Tricks”.
Follow the bridge to the dog power up, then use it to jack up more monks. Use this ability to enter a room with barrels. There’s a gap through the wall that leads to a circle of candles. Grab the wings in the room, then pull the lever. Fly over the gate to grab the gold key.
Enter the wooden door on the level of the grassy field marked gold. Continue up the stairway, head through a wooden door, past the spinning blades on tracks. Take out the monks in the vicinity especially the ones high above.
Take the stairs up, past the stained glass windows. Enter the door to reach a room with spinning blades on the ceiling. Time your bounce pad jump to reach the platform. Cross the bridge, hang a left, cross another bridge, then grab the silver key.
Drop down from the window using the wooden planks. Soldiers will emerge from a door. Take them out, then head inside “Funky Monks”. The middle of the stairs will collapse. Drop down and follow the hallway. Make a left into a room with a lone crystal in the middle.
Enter the hallway with the fireballs that come at you. Jump over them, then when you reach the end, grab the bronze key. A vent will open. Drop down and eliminate the baddies in the room. Follow the stream of water down, take a left at the shrine, the take the elevator up.
You’ll be back in the room where the lone crystal in the middle was. Take the stairs up to open the bronze door. Blow up the monks in the area, then open the door under the triad symbol. Drop down the small bridge by the stained glass. Grab the wand.
Move through the hallway with the crystals on the sides named “Based God Mode”. Drop down to the next area, then immediately turn around to grab God Mode. Obliterate the enemies here, then pull the levers in each corner of the room. Head inside for more caves.
Backfire
Walk forward at a brisk pace. Head left and down onto a rocky platform next to the lava. Access the secret area, then take the hover disc back up. Grab God Mode by the green eyes, then push through, destroying any monks you see. Head inside the stone doors on the right to take out more baddies.
Head through the green door and flip the switch all the way on the end. Turn around, turn slight left, then take out more monks as they push through the green eyed door on the left and right side. Head through the door on the left side into a cave named “Crystal Caves”.
Take out the swarm of monks in the area as you push through. Move past the spinning blades and head right. Be careful of the flames that rise up. Head down the stairway, move past the wall of flames, then head up another set of stairs.
Move through the doorway into the next. You’ll be moving through a rocky cave again. Eliminate the monks, then head into a much roomier cave area with a gap connected by a hover disc bridge. Cross the bridge to grab more weapons, then head back to climb the hover disc stairway.
You’ll now be entering “A Boulder Vision”. Climb the stairway up, blowing up monks and collecting medium coins as you go along. Enter through the open door, then hang a right as you follow the coins down the hallway. Drop down into a secret area. Grab the wand, then push through the hallway.
You’ll encounter walls that move up and down. Time your way through without getting crushed. Take the elevator up, then pick up the gold key. Drop down, fight more monks, then head right through the stone doorway. Search the open rooms, then cross the wooden bridge.
Shoot two yellow robed monks. The floor will collapse underneath you.
Circles of Fire
Move toward the ominous statue. Kill the monks that spawn. Head through the door to the right of the statue called the “Path of Ire”. Kill a duo of enemies, then head into the next room with more enemies that occupy that area. Continue to the third room.
Jump on the stone blocks to get higher. Kill the monk, then head through the door. Destroy the monks on top a giant slab of stone held up by chains. Take the stairs up to obliterate more monks residing on top of grassy rocks. Follow the hanging rocks until you head up more stairs.
Circle around the perimeter to the next room. It’s full of glowing crystals on pillars in circular pattern. Kill the monks, then grab the silver key in the center. Proceed to the other side, then drop down to where the statue is.
Enter the door to the left of the statue as you head into the “Path of Deceit”. Walk along the right side rocky path, then enter the first door on the right. Jump along the floating rocks, then drop down to the small one below. Jump to the open door to “DAFUQ”.
From the floating rock, look to the left side and down. There’s a bounce pad there. Take it, until you make it all the way up. Take the stone path on the right side, then keep dropping down on the floating rocks with the green crystals on them.
Drop all the way down, then use the bounce pads until you get to the floating rock platform that moves. Take it up, then head through the corridor on the right. More floating rocks will make a path for you.
Drop down the rocks as you grab coins. Jump on the floating rocks as you pass by the lava waterfall. Make your way up. When you think you’ve run out of rocks to jump on, jump toward the one with green crystal on it. It will lead to a door.
A boulder will pass by from right to left. Head to the pillar on the right avoiding the boulder, then turn the triad symbol once. Follow the boulder when it goes back around. Enter the doorway highlighted by green lights.
Jump to the chained up rock, to grab the gold key. It will open a door. Head there. You’ll be in the statue room again. Go behind the statue. You’ll see another statue. Put the silver and gold key on the crystals.
El-Zee will appear. If you still have your wand use it against the boss. If not, look left to grab another weapon. There’s also an explosive weapon on the right. Blow up El-Zee, thus ending the level.
El Oscuro
This is it, the final boss of the game. Walk across the bridge. Enemies will pop up on floating rocks on the left and right side. Move toward the triad symbol on the ground. Before moving up to grab the wings, there’s a path underneath the stairs that will let you grab armor.
Once you grab the wings, El Oscuro will appear. He’ll fly around. Fly around as well, using the explosive weapon. Aim at him, when he stops for maximum damage. When you hear the timer count down, get back on the ground, then aim at the boss from the path you came out from.
The left side path will give you more wings and one of the floating rocks in the middle will give you a wand. Fly up there to grab it, then use it on the boss as you fly around. There are more weapons on the floating rocks, but keep an eye on your wings.
Keep firing on him until his health bar goes all the way down. But wait, there’s more. Head to the center, then drop down into “The Dark Nest”. The boss will turn into a spider creature. Use the explosive gun to wear him down as you avoid his attacks using the rocky pillars. Keep your distance.
Move around to the other pillars to grab more guns. Be careful of the explosive bugs he lays down. Keep strafing and using the pillars for cover. Once his second bar goes down, he’ll be down and out. Congratulations! You’ve just beaten 2013′s Rise of the Triad!
