Respawn, the developer of the upcoming release Titanfall, available on Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC, have created yet another thrilling first person shooter, but don’t expect the skills you’ve acquired from previous FPS games to serve you well. It was recently leaked that we would be reintroduced to the familiar ‘Prestige’ system in the Call of Duty franchise, with Titanfalls equivalent allowing us to ‘regenerate’ after reaching level 50 and progress through 10 available generations. Titanfall rewards its players with experience points by engaging in the objectives in addition to gaining as many kills as possible within the limited time period. If you’re the ostentatious player who runs riot across the map during the game mode ‘Hardpoint Domination’ you may be having a jolly good time, but you won’t earn quite as much XP as your partner who’s saved the team by fighting off threats and secured all of the hardpoints.
There’s no quick method to achieving and farming XP in Titanfall in order to secure the top rank, but we can offer you some guidance to survival and success, which will effectively lead to earning a ton of XP in Titanfall. Follow on for our guide on How to Rank up Fast in Titanfall…
Get involved
Admittedly, this point may seem a tad obvious, but it’s one that is important to stress. Titanfall will reward you by completing objectives asked of you by the game, so ensure that you join in and engage in as many of the objectives and achievements as possible within your session rather than solely heading off on a hot-blooded killing spree.
Learn the Titan Auto-Modes
Your Titan has two auto modes available, guard and follow, which can prove useful for accomplishing objectives in the appropriate game modes. A roaming Titan means only one thing, a large group of enemies approaching the direct area in order to take it down. Although your Titan proves far more effective when being piloted, it’s often beneficial to use your Titan as bait to draw in your enemies whilst you mop them up from a vantage point. You may also want to consider using your Titan as a distraction, drop the Titan in an appropriate area in order to distract enemies whilst you complete the objective and attain the XP for doing so. Note, this method may need to be adjusted whilst playing the attrition game mode, as destroying a Titan awards a team with a grand 5 points, if you can use the Titan as a trap to pick off a group of enemies it can often be worth the risk, however ensure that you never leave the Titan unguarded.
Burn Cards
Burn Cards grant Titanfall fans with special abilities lasting one lifetime, which become available following Level 9. The game features a selection of Burn Cards relevant to multiplying your XP which when used at the appropriate moment can be used to earn lots of experience points. The Burn Cards to equip are as follows:
Fast Learner: Enabling you to earn twice the XP
Most Wanted List: Successfully damaging a pilot will earn you extra XP as well as reducing the build time for your Titan
Thin the Rank: Successfully damaging a grunt will earn you extra XP as well as reducing the build time for your Titan
Titan Salvage: Successfully damaging a Titan will earn you extra XP as well as reducing the build time for your Titan
Urban Renewal: Successfully damaging a spectre will earn you extra XP as well as reducing the build time for your Titan

Reduce Titan Build time
Killing your enemies and completing objectives will reduce the cool down on your Titan and allow you to access it sooner within the match. Unsurprisingly you ‘ll gain an unbelievable advantage upon enemies once inside a Titan, and it can really make or break a match. Kill as many AI Grunts as you can early on in the game, as they are remarkably simple and easy to destroy, hop into your Titan and dominate.
Practice your parkour skills
Your pilot’s mobility has been vastly increased in comparison to other FPS games, enabling you to perform double jumps and run up and along walls: a godsend for any experienced FPS fan. Mastering the Parkour skills can be a fine art, so practice upon them until you’re leaping over and across buildings with ease as this allows you to reach the tops of buildings in order to seize a vantage point before your enemies.
Effectively place your Titan
Kill two birds with one stone by spawning your Titan on top of the location of an enemy pilot. Hopping on top of an enemy Titan to tease the enemy pilot outside of it whilst spawning your Titan on top of their location is a great technique to use. Use the Warpfall transmitter to spawn your Titan immediately.
Spontaneous Battle
The most effective method for destroying enemy Titans is via Rodeo Kills, ride the Titans by jumping at them and pushing the x button to rip open the critical hit spot where you can either shoot them in the back or chuck a grenade inside. This is a very risky move for a manned Titan as they’ll be notified of your presence and can jump out and kill you with ease, however this is a great technique for much-slower Auto-Mode Titans. Perform a surprise attack upon enemy pilots by heading up onto a Titan and instead of shooting, jump up into the air and land in the middle of the surrounding enemy pilots. Since you’ve not used the double boost, you’re able to maneuver away whilst shooting at the enemies, allowing for a quick escape or time to plan the next move. Or alternatively you can also use a Titan to vault all the way up to the sky and land upon a rooftop and kill off any unsuspecting pilots. This method is also useful for escaping the direct area of an intense battle scene to gain a vantage point.
Be a Teamplayer
If you’re playing in a party, work collaboratively to safely eliminate Titans from rooftops, as 2 or 3 Pilots wielding anti-Titan weapons can quickly remove the threat. Whereas a single pilot taking on a heavy Titan runs the risk of being killed relatively quickly.
Take Down the Evacuation Ship
Similar to many other FPS' the key to levelling up fast in Titanfall is to win more games than you lose, however as we all know, this isn't always possible to control. You could be at the top of your game on a match, but if the rest of the team aren't pulling their weight, there's not much you can do. When the winning team makes their way towards the evacuation ship to score some additional XP, set your sights on destroying the ship for your opportunity to snatch up the XP on offer. It'll require a fair amount of team work, three Titan's can take down the ship without any problems, but if you don't have a Titan available, equip your anti-titan weapon and release fire on the Evacuation ship.
