World 1
Level 1.1 – The Prologue
For a prologue, this level is shockingly long. A lot of basic skills are learned here, so this level’s walkthrough will be more in-depth than those to follow.
Use a triple jump bouncing back and forth to get up the first wall. You’ll find your first blue barrel (blow it up to throw yourself forward) and your first zipline (simply land on it to ride). Ride the zipline to the end and let it hurl you forward. You’ll have to explode yourself to fly off the end of the next zipline, however.
This will bring you to your first continue point, and another barrel. Remember, when you see a tile with a barrel on it, it’s a “button” to make a barrel appear. Walk past the button, and then detonate the barrel that appears to move on. You’ll repeat this maneuver two more times until you reach a vertical chamber. Do two triple jumps to move up until you reach another continue point.
Another triple jump will take you up, and then there’s another barrel jump. You’ll have to jump this time to deploy the barrel, and then hold right hard to reach the next ledge. Another barrel jump follows.
Continue to the right to start riding more rails, and you’ll hit four of them in a row. Remember, you have to splode yourself from one to the next or you’ll fall off.
SHOES! Find your first pair of shows up and to the left here before you move on. After you reach the ledge on the right via barrel, simply jump to the left and splode yourself twice more to cross the gap.
ACHIEVEMENT: Hell Hath No Fury, 5 points. You get this achievement for blowing up just 10 pieces of lab equipment. It’s pretty straight forward and so long as you keep blowing up those computer consoles, you’ll have it before the end of the level.
One more rail will throw you to a barrel, which throws you to a scientist, then another zipline, which will throw you off, and you’ll reach the next continue point. Blow up your first super-powerful green barrel to move on…
BOSS: After a brief cut scene, you’ll be running from a giant robot, the Mighty Eternal. Getting through this section is simply a matter of timing. Use the green barrels to propel yourself forward. Jump once to reach them, and then again to explode and fly forward. The third barrel you have to hit a barrel “button” to reveal, then again to blow, so you’ll be exploding for the third time when you are launched.
After the cut scene, you’ll have another running sequence as the robot chases you. This sequence is more vertically oriented. After a long hallway and a continue point, you will drive yourself upwards with explosions and barrels. Hit the buttons to reveal the barrels and keep moving up. After you hit the top, there’s another long journey to the right, including another barrel jump. In the next large room, you’ll throw a barrel at the robot. Bounce off the left wall, pass the barrel button, and the blow up on the red and black barrel. Then just keep heading right.
Get on the elevator it will start automatically. The robot will chase you, but he won’t catch you here. Move on, past the next continue point, and you’ll barrel jump over a piece of robot. To the right you’ll barrel jump again to catch a zipline, and see the robot pass behind you. Nifty! Splode at the end of the zipline to hit a green barrel and really catch some air.
BOSS BATTLE: Now it’s on! The weak spot is pointed out as the robot’s eye, but if you can hit the head, that’s close enough. The basic trick is wall jumping to the barrel, then letting the explosion carry you close to the robot’s head, where you just pop. He’ll be attacking while you do this, but it shouldn’t matter because you’re in the air. You’ll do this four times in total, in two pairs. After that sequence, wait until the robot throws a rotor at you. Do a wall jump to get enough air to let it harmlessly pass under you.
The next trick is a bit harder. You’ll barrel jump twice to a zipline and then off the zipline to the robot. The trick here is to approach the lower barrel from the right, near the robot. This will carry you into the second barrel, and then hold right to reach the lowest point of the zipline. Prepare to jump again almost immediately, and you’ll land on the robot’s eye!Keep sploding and you’ll do some more damage, he’ll get angry, and then you do it all over again!
After the second go-round, you’ll be in an interactive cut scene. It’s pretty forgiving, but just punch the button everytime the word “Splode” appears on the screen. Sometimes it’ll stay there, and you need to keep punching it until the word pops. That’ll be the end of this boss sequence. And yeah, in case you haven’t seen the greatest movie of all time, that’s a reference to Predator right at the end there. Simply enter the doorway on the right to finish the level.
Level 1.2
Move to the right, do a triple jump and you’ll crawl up the ledge to meet your first real enemy, Beardy. He’ll fire a slow-moving round at you. Jump up and over, and toast him. Keep moving, jump the pit, toast another Beardy, and continue. Over another spike pit there’s the first barrel jump of the level. Continue to ascend and kill another Beardy. One more barrel will take you to another enemy. another more barrel and you’ve reached the first continue point!
The next Beardy is waiting for you at the top of the next triple jump, when you won’t have any splode left. He may cap you a few times before you get the timing right: Ideally wait a second or two before the third jump and you’ll land while he’s facing the opposite direction. Then: Spike pit, Beardy, barrel, barrel, and a big fall. If you fall dead center you can kill two shooters at once when you land!
Head to the right and you’ll enter the first Splode Cannon. This path is very straightforward, and you’ll finish up on a zipline, which will throw you into a final Cannon. Fire yourself straight to the right, hit that barrel, and keep going for another continue point.
Next is your first real puzzle. Jump across the pit, kill the Beardy, jump across the next pit and hit the barrel button. Then go back to the beginning. Above the barrel is a Cannon, but this one you can control. Aim yourself to roughly 2 o’clock and fire yourself to the next Cannon. That deploys the next barrel, and you can move on.
SHOES: If you look at the top left hand corner of the puzzle room, you can actually see the shadow of these boots. Just hop up in the cannon and fire yourself up into the upper left corner.
Jump bounces will move you up through the next section, where two Beardies are waiting up top. A barrel will take you into the next Cannon, and if you time it correctly it will move you onto a zipline. Time your jump off the end of it to hit a green barrel and land in the next Cannon, which will move you forward in very dramatic fashion. Another cannon, which you will aim, brings you to the next continue point.
A simple ascension and you’ll be looking out over hovercar traffic. This is a very straightforward platform section, and you can grab these just like ledges, so if you screw up, a quick double jump might get you without grabbing distance. Proceed to where the traffic gets thicker and stay toward the top. There’s a cannon, and you move on!
Keep moving to the right and you’ll find another Cannon and enter traffic again, this time going the other direction. Bomb the barrel and it will pop you to a Cannon and keep going with the hovercars. Do it one more time, and you’ll find the finish.
Level 1.3
Ride the elevator up, hit the barrel button, and use the green barrel to throw yourself onward. Stand in front of the whozit so it turns green, and when the platform on the left is about halfway down, use it to bounce to the next barrel button and then to the next green barrel. One more green barrel tosses you up and over. Keep going to the next continue point.
The next target will bring you into the range of the green targeting laser, but you can ignore it unless you get closer. Let the platform get all the way to the left, then bounce off of it, past the button, and punch the barrel to move up and onto a zipline. Jump off the end of it to blow up a computer and de-arm the laser. Use a triple jump to move onto the next continue point.
Hit the barrel button and then jump into the green barrel to move on into a Cannon. Point the cannon at the next barrel and blow yourself up to move to the left. Drop through the floor to get the drop on two Beardies, and then go down to kill two more. Then, do it one more time. At the bottom, head to the left, away from the red wall. Bounce out to the green barrel to play in traffic some more.
Here you’ll head out to the left and then drop down after a head-on collision. Proceed back to the right again, avoiding collisions, and then jump to the barrel. The barrel will bring you to a Cannon, which leads to more. The final Cannon you’ll have to aim at the green barrel, which will throw you back to the left onto a zipline.
SHOES: Proceed to the left instead of going up the last jump, blow up the laser in the ceiling, and grab those sneakers!
To complete the level, simply use the barrel to propel you to the left to double jump to the finish.
Level 1.4
In case you never played Splosion Man, the rolling robots can only be destroyed by getting behind them. You’ll see them for the first time in this level.
Hitting the “targets” that activate platforms, etc, in this level is essential. Do it twice to deactivate the panels between you and the rest of the level, then there’s three Beardies and a ‘bot to kill as you climb. Triple jump up to the first continue point, and then you’ll find the level’s first puzzle.
Place yourself before the targets to move the platforms. You can do this in order. Stand in front of the first one until the platform comes through the laser. Then jump on it to activate the second target, then jump up to the third. After the highest platform is on your side of the laser, use it to jump up and over to the platform suspended over the pit. Jump over the pit to move on.
There are more targets in the next section, you’ll have to fly through them to deactivate the lasers. Use the barrels to arch up through the targets and then on to the next platform. Use the third barrel to blow yourself back to the left, then keep going with the same technique. This will bring you to a Cannon, and then a series of Cannons. Fire carefully through the lasers, and at the last Cannon, wait until all three lasers are off before firing yourself onward.
SHOES: After you discover the Cannon beneath the glass in the floor, you’re near the boots. Shoot yourself up, but instead of moving on, fire yourself back down and to the right when the gun rotates all the way in that direction. Boots!
For puzzle number two, use the target to lower the vertical platform on the left halfway down. Bounce off it to the Cannon, then fire yourself at the Cannon behind the glass. Use this to reach the two targets up and to the right. Use the farthest right target first, bringing the horizontal platform through the laser. Then use the left target to bring the vertical platform down to meet it. Drop into the Cannon below you, bounce off the wall you just brought down, and go up and over the platforms to the right.
Blow up the computer to deactivate the laser and then drop down and keep going to the right. You’ll find another continue point. Use the barrels to blow yourself upward, avoiding or destroying the robots along the way. Proceed to the right, and you’ll find the finish!
Level 1.5
The red dot and flag for this level denotes that it is very challenging and it isn’t necessary to move forward. This level is all ziplines, and even with instructions, prepare for some trial and error.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Drop off the rails rather than exploding by pushing down and a button. You’ll be doing this a lot this level.
As soon as you’re on the first rail, jump up twice as soon as you can. As soon as the second laser passes beneath you, drop twice in rapid succession, and then a third time as soon as possible. At the end of the next rail, jump to your right. Then drop again as soon as another rail is beneath you. Now you’ll be sliding back to the left. Wait till you get to the end and drop down to the next rail. Then jump off the end of the last rail to hit a green barrel.
Ride the next two rails, doing nothing, and blow up the next green barrel. Jump off the end of the rail that carries you to the left, and ride the next one until you see the lasers. Time your jump right simply to clear them. Let yourself be thrown off the end of the last zipline, and then blow the next barrel which will throw you through glass, a continue point, and past another barrel. Unless you’re quick on the draw, you’ll fall into space and start from here.
SHOES: You may get these by accident. The trick is not dying after you get them. From the green barrel at the continue point, jump to the first zipline, use the blue barrel to move to the next, then jump to the higher of the next pair of ziplines, and then drop immediately. If you don’t drop fast enough, you’re toast.
From the continue point, blow the green barrel, which will put you on the zipline, which will take you to a blue barrel, which leads to the next zipline. Jump to the higher of the two that come next and then immediately drop down and then jump up. Drop down again as soon as you can, then down again.
Ride this next zipline to the end, and then look for the barrel button. Jump to hit it and then let yourself be thrown off the end, then detonate the green barrel.
You’ll hit a line sloping steeply down to the left. Jump when you see the lasers to reach the next line. Then jump to hit the barrel button, then the next barrel, and make sure you’re angling to the right so the barrel explosion throws you to the next button. That deploys a green barrel, which will throw you into the final chamber, with the finish.
Level 1.6
This is the first level where you will encounter the snow blowers that make you unable to splode!
Jump up and bounce off the left wall to reach the platform above you. Hit the target to drop the scientist and move forward. The first trampoline will take you to a platform with two Beardies, and the next will bring you face to face with one before a puzzle.
Cross the glass platform to drop the barrel and the proceed off the left wall. Activate the barrel drop so that a green barrel falls on the moving platform and then immediately cross to the Hazard target so that the laser turns off, allowing the green barrel to drop all the way down. Splode it to keep going.
You’ll pass a continue point and then go off a tramp up a massive vertical hall. The yellow-lit panels recharge your splode, and you’ll see them again soon. One-two-three-four you will go off a trampoline and blow up a green barrel. The fourth will take you out into the open air, where you will keep going up on more tramps and then you’ll do the barrel trick again.
Cross the giant glass platform, drop the green barrel, and then walk back to where it will fall down. Don’t do it fast enough and you’ll get zapped.
SHOES: Follow the green barrel closely, and as soon as you pass a light panel, charging you up again, blow up the green barrel and you will fly off to the left where you will find some very stylish sneakers.
Follow the barrel until the walls open up and then drift to your left. Follow the passage down and use your splode to pop to the right when you hit bottom, using another green barrel to fly to safety. In this next section, if you don’t proceed quickly enough, a scientist will pull a lever and shoot you with a massive set of lasers.
Use the tramps to leap up to the platform, hit the target, and move forward quickly. Avoid springing too high with the second tramp to miss the choppers in the ceiling. Keep moving forward, and you’ll walk into the finish!
The Mall
By know you will have noticed that every time you complete a level you’re clearly earning currency. The MALL is where you spend that on game modes, videos, and so forth.
ACHIEVEMENT: Credit Card is Maxed, 20 points. Earn enough currency, and earn an achievement for buying everything that isn’t nailed down.
Level 1.7
As soon as you move in, you’ll see another friend from Splosion Man. Remember, it usually takes three full jumps to get out of the Compactor, so jump to the right if you want to come out moving to the right, or vice versa. Move up to the next level, and then bounce off the left wall to hit the target. This will activate another Compactor and also let you move on to the continue point.
This next puzzle looks more complicated than it is, just don’t get ahead of yourself. When you hit the target, immediately use the green barrel to throw yourself at it. Then, bounce off the same wall again to hit the Hazard target, and then launch off the next green barrel. Bounce off the Compactor to hit the blue barrel, and aim yourself into the top left corner. Voila.
Ascend the hall to another continue point and the pink walls, which allow you to splode as much as you like. Be careful of lasers, and setting off a barrel will almost certainly kill you, however it’s not too hard to stay in control here. Hit the three Hazard targets to deactivate lasers so you can continue, and then bide your time for the on-off lasers.
SHOES: Immediately after finishing with the pink walls, face back to the left and slide down the wall, in the gap between the laser and the wall. You’ll drop right onto a pair of boots!
You’ll remember these rotating platforms from the original game as well. Leap off the first to the left to use the barrel to wall jump to the second. The timing on moving up to the third is a bit ticklish. Wait for your platform to move you through the barrel button instead of setting it off. Then leap to meet it and splode the barrel to reach the third rotating platform. Wall jump up, and then negotiate two Compactors before you reach safety.
Use a wall bounce to release a barrel, meet it in mid air, and use it to catapult to the next ledge. Remember to hold right as you hit the barrel for maximum distance. Wall bounce up to the next ledge, and then hit the green barrel to ascend. Another wall bounce and another green barrel bring you to the next continue point and then some more pink walls. You’ll have to be patient with this go-round, it gets a lot more complicated. Hit the Hazard target to continue.
SECRET EXIT: Same idea as the shoes earlier in the level, after moving past the pink walls, slide down the left ledge between the wall and the laser. Use the small block of pink to stop your fall and jump to the right. There’s a normal finish, only it leads to a new, hidden level!
ACHIEVEMENT: To The Conservatory, 15 points. Awarded for finding your first hidden exit.
Now you’ll reach stretches between pink walls, so conserve your splodes, use them to redirect yourself as necessary. Moving forward it straightforward enough here, it just might take a few tries. Remember to hit the barrel moving to the right, or the momentum will carry you into lasers. Pass the continue point and then hit the purple trampoline. Bounce up the Compactor as quickly as you can. Once you hit the pink wall, start sploding straight up, not bouncing, or you’ll run out of time. Once you’re at the top, there’s another continue point!
The next part requires excellent timing. Hit the green barrel, and then don’t splode till you’re on the pink wall. If you do it early, you’ll simply die faster. Then comes the Compactor, and it’s the opposite of the last one. Splode up until the pink wall runs out, then start bouncing. That will bring you to another pink wall where you need to make a leap of faith to deploy and then explode a barrel. That will catapult you to the next pink wall, where you will need to get your timing right to kill the Beardy waiting for you.
Hit the next continue point and watch for another Beardy. You can take your own time with this next puzzle. Each of the buttons releases a red barrel, which you need to splode. Fortunately, they’ll do their job wherever they are in their trajectory, so you don’t have to chase them. After both are blown up, your path will open to the finish.
Secret Level 1.8
NOTE: If you don’t know how to get to this secret level, hop back here to find out how!
SHOES: Right off the bat, instead of leaping to the left after the third trampoline, jump as far as you can to the left. You’ll find boots and a tramp that will throw you back the way you came.
Move up the trampolines up and to the right and then back left. Jump over the lasers to activate the barrel and them jump back the way you came immediately. If you time it right, you’ll meet the green barrel on the way back down and be flung to the right.
Bounce up and off the wall, triggering the barrel on the way, and then blow the barrel to fly up and to the right, leading to a zipline and the first continue point. Another zipline will end and throw you toward another tramp, where there’s another green barrel jump, which leads to several more. Finally, you’ll hit a Cannon and fire yourself to the right, where the next continue point is.
Take the zipline to your right, time your jump to go between the lasers and splode the green barrel when you cross its path. This will bounce you off a trampoline and then carry you to a very difficult challenge. Simply bounce back and forth between the two tramps, over the laser. If you splode, it will disrupt your smooth back and forth, and you’ll get zapped. When you bounce in, hold left so you start toward the left tramp immediately, otherwise you’ll just bounce up and down. When the wall is in place, simply bounce off it and hit the barrel.
The stretch between you and the finish line is thankfully simple. You’ll land in a cannon, you fire yourself straight to the right and start bouncing up. If you don’t interrupt yourself, its a smooth trip. There’s one simple green barrel interaction and when you reach the top of the tramps, there’s a zipline that you can jump off the end, two more bounces, and you’re at the finish.
STAR ROAD! Look familiar? It seems like there was another game… After defeating 1.8, you will see a shiny path that leads off the map. This leads to Star Road, ala Super Mario World, although there are NO LEVELS here. It’s just fancy.
ACHIEVEMENT: Found Star Road, 15 points. You found Star Road. Dur.
Level 1.9
Right away, meet the switching platform. When you splode, it will move, and if you splode it again, it will return. You’ll see a lot of them soon. Hop off this one to move forward. The next platform you’ll use to bounce off the wall and over the pit, and when you land, there’s a Beardy to wreck. Splode the platform to move on and hit the first continue point.
SHOES: When you reach the first pit of green goo, instead of going up and over the switching platform, you want to use it to ascend the wall to your left. The simplest way to do this is to hit the left wall and slide down until your splodes recharge a bit.
Head all the way to the right to activate a vertical platform. Return to it and bounce off it to reach the barrel, which will throw you all the way up and to the right. Move on and you’ll have your first encounter with Mandy, a scientist suit that will help you get past security measures. Sploding Mandy will give you a bigger jump, so use her to reach the next ledge, and then you’ll reach the next continue point.
Move in front of the target to lower a platform that you can use to bounce to the Mandy target. Use that to move past the laser. Splode out of her to move up, and barrel jump to the next ledge and another continue point. In the next room, stand in front of the target until the platform is as far right as possible. Then jump on the trampoline to reach said platform, hit the green barrel, and keep wall jumping all the way up to another trampoline and another barrel jump. That will drop a Mandy way down below, and turn off the lasers. Drop into the Cannon and let it blast you back where you started. Hop into the Mandy, drop onto the trampoline, and walk past the security laser.
Jump out of Mandy and over the weight to reach the next continue point. Blast the platform you’re on to drop into more hovercar traffic. Time your splosion until a car is easy to reach below you. Hop from car to car until you reach a barrel, use it to leap up and hit a barrel button. Return to traffic and keep moving right. Use the next barrel to hit another barrel switch, and then head back into traffic. Wait for a high car to leap from to bounce off the sliding wall and up to the Cannon. Fire yourself off the next wall to hit the green barrel and catapult forward, which will bring you to the finish.
Level 1.10
Jump across the trampoline and hit the caution switch to open up the other trampoline. Drop the barrel and return to the switch so the barrel bounces. Hit the trampoline near you to meet the barrel in midair and drop a Mandy suit. Use this to proceed past the laser. Once past it, use the suit to boost yourself up to the switch above you and to the right. Hit the barrel and the switch to take out the scientist to the left.
Triple jump up to the next section, where you’ll splode the black barrel and then the green barrel to leap up and onward. Repeat the process for your first continue point. Watch the timing on the three platforms that come next, and remember that using an extra splode to stay hanging in the air for a moment longer may just save your bacon.
A triple jump moves you on again to more treacherous platforms. Ascend to the top and use the caution switch to deactivate the laser after you splode the black barrel to move on to the next continue. A pink wall section comes next. Drop to the bottom to activate the barrel and then splode up to meet it over the laser. The barrel will clear the way for you to proceed and face down a robot. Then follow the pink walls, avoiding the platforms, to continue.
SHOES: This one is a bit of a pain. Jump along the pink wall until you reach the end. Then you’ll jump back onto the last platform. As it rises, jump over to the right wall, bouncing back over the laser and returning to the same platform. Then, leap back to the same wall again and bounce off to the second platform. From there, leap to your left and splode over to the shoes.
After another continue, the next section comes very quickly. You will use a series of trampolines and green barrels to proceed. The timing is simple, but you’ll have to be consistent. The section ends with a double trampoline which leads to a Cannon, a continue and then another Cannon.
Now you’ll be playing in hovercar traffic again. Hit a switch to open up the platform ahead of you, then leap forward and hit the green barrel to launch forward. Repeat the switch and barrel trick, only this time you’re going up to throw another switch. Drop down rather than jumping to return to your hovercar. In the next section, use the blue barrel to ascend, but wait to drop the black barrel until the hovercar is over the lightning. Drop down and splode the barrel to keep going.
A blue barrel at the end of the hovercar’s journey will move you to the final continue point. The concept of this room is easy, but the execution may take a couple of turns. Splode the black barrel onto its journey, and use the switches to deactivate the blue panels in the way. The scientist dies, you move on. In the next section, jump up and touch the switch till the scientist is ejected, and you’re free to move to the finish.
Level 1.11
Drop into the trampoline as the spiked platforms are retracting to leap the gap. For the next section, jump out, blow up the Beardy to shift the platform, drop the barrel and then splode to shift the platform back immediately. That will allow you to use the barrel to proceed to the first continue.
You will ride the rotating platforms out to the barrel switch. Leap to hit it and you should fall right into its path, sploding it to move on. That will start a chain of deployed barrels and timed jumps to reach safety. Catch your breath and then use these two barrels to give you a safe place to land and to reach it. The next section looks scary, but so long as you keep hitting the barrels and the scientists, you’ll be just fine.
When you bounce off the purple tramp, you’ll be holding right to reach the green barrel. Be patient, or you’ll splode too early. Hold right as you hit it so that you reach the next chamber. Move up to use another green barrel to keep moving.
In the next section you’ll find a Mandy, which you will use to reach the next area. Keep ascending to reach the green barrel and splode to the next continue point. Bounce off the wall to the left to reach a switch and drop another Mandy and use it to pass the laser and drop off the edge. Use a controlled fall to move slightly to the right with the lasers, and the splode to exit Mandy and reach safety when you near the bottom.
SHOES: After the second continue point, drop Mandy and use her to move to the left and drop through the freezing traps. You can now splode through the glass and claim your footwear.
Drop down the dead center of the next fall to stay safe and find the final continue. Then splode the black barrel and then kill the scientist ahead of you. Run onto the platform and stay ahead of the spikes to reach the finish.
Level 1.12
Triple jump up to your left to find a Mandy. That will allow you to safely reach the ledge to your right. Use the caution switch to move the platform beneath the barrel dropping mechanism and then…drop the barrel onto it. Then move the barrel all the way to the left. Return to Mandy and the drop down and move all the way to your right. Hit this switch to drop the barrel, return to it and splode it to complete the section by dropping through the new hole in the floor and finding a continue point.
Race the first spiked ceiling to the hole in the floor. For the second one, you’ll want to splode about halfway toward the gap in the floor so you break the glass on your descent. Sploding on it means spiky death. For the third spiked passage, as soon as the ceiling moves up, run to the barrel switch and then back to the barrel. As soon as the ceiling rises again, splode the barrel to the right and chase it as fast as you can. Drop through the floor to safety and continue on when the ceiling rises again.
For the fourth spiked ceiling, grab the zip line and drop off the end, just before it dips. If you jump or let it throw you off, you’re toast. That leads to another continue point and then rotating platforms with lasers. It’s not as hard as it looks, but when you reach the third one, don’t jump to the switch, but rather ride through it and then jump when the barrel falls and splode yourself up into a straightforward Cannon section.
You’ll use the same pattern twice to move up this passage, bouncing high off a wall to release a barrel, and then meeting it on the descent to splode upwards. The second barrel takes you to a continue point.
SHOES: Instead of proceeding forward to the continue, first use the switch on your right to lower a platform on your right. Then use the platform on the right to activate that switch, which drops another platform. Use that to splode yourself up and to the left with a barrel, where you will find a spiky room and sexy shoes.
After the continue point, leap out onto the switching platform and use it to reach the next one. Timing is important here, as you will play chicken with the platform you’re standing, switching it back and forth to avoid spikes coming up from beneath you while a moving platform comes to rescue you. Leap onto the new platform to proceed up and to the right. The next section is a series of controlled jumps. Fall from the platform to hit the switch and reach the next platform. If you jump or splode, you’ll die. The timing changes between platforms, so don’t let yourself get into a pattern. At the end, you will have to splode to reach the zip line.
Drop from the first zip line, jump from the next two, then drop from the last, which starts you sliding back to the left. Drop from that one and then let yourself be thrown from the last zip line. Use a high-reaching triple jump to get up and over the next obstacle, and then leap to the next zip line. Again, let it throw you from the end to reach the finish.
Level 1.13
Triple jump up and then use the green pod to move on. These platforms can be treacherous, they’re great for a boost, but get too low on one side and they will chop you up. Use this platform to get the hang of them, as they reappear after a brief respite. Three more green pods are next, and if you wait until the first one is on its way up, you’ll get more than enough altitude to reach the next ledge and then the first continue point.
Two different conveyors direct you to a barrel, which leads to a rotating platform. Use the barrel to launch yourself upward, but be cautious. If you hurry you’ll run out of splodes, and if you fall, you can’t reach the next platform again and you’ll have to blow yourself up to try again. Bounce off the switching platform above to the conveyor, take a breath, and then proceed. Be sure that when you splode back to the switching platform you jump as late as possible so you bounce off it very high up, giving you enough height to reach the next conveyor.
Move to the left and follow the same advice, let the barrel carry you as far up as possible so you have enough height to land on the next conveyor. The next green barrel will through you forward through some glass, and you’ll reach another long conveyor. Another green barrel to another conveyor, to another barrel, only this one ends in a compactor, which will fly down and save you from getting zapped. Jump once to the left and then up and over to the right to find the next continue.
This next puzzle can be a pain. Splode one black barrel to move the platform on the top left so it can catch the green barrel. Hit the left most switch to deploy said barrel. Splode another black barrel to move the platform, and then immediately stand in front of the target to deactivate the laser. When the green barrel is about to fall off the conveyor, run toward it, jump up and splode to hit the barrel. That will blow you to the right and you’ll want to jump immediately to hit the falling blue barrel. The timing of this might take a few tries. The blue barrel will blow you up to the LEFT to the conveyor. You may be able to splode yourself onto the first green pod, but it’s not worth the effort. Once you’re on the conveyor, it’s an easy leap to one green pod, then the second, to proceed to another continue.
SECRET EXIT: Instead of proceeding to the right after the two green pods, simply leap up and to the left. You might need to splode yourself a couple of times to get onto the conveyor, but once you’re there, a simple wall jump takes you to the finish.
The next section is simply a very tall vertical chamber with lots of green pods. It is important to remember that you don’t have to use all of them. Trying to hit every one on the way up will be more likely to get you killed than benefit your journey. Jump off to the right at the top and keep going for a continue.
SHOES: From the ledge you just reached, leap back up to the left, use the extra splode from the splode charger to reach the green pod, and then bounce you to the high left. Sweet shoes!
Jump out so you hit the switch and then haul to the end of the conveyor to meet the green barrel. It will throw you to another conveyor, and you’ll have to start running to your left immediately. Jump out to the left to find a switch and a green pod. Then take the next conveyor all the way to the right and jump to two green pods and then a fun trampoline event.
You will use the blue barrel, from the far right switch, to launch yourself up to meet the green barrel, from the middle switch. You might have to retry it to get the timing, but if you don’t fight the trampolines’ bounces, you aren’t in any danger. You may have to use some extra splodes to stay in the right place. The green barrel will hurl you far to the right.
Just hit the switch and watch the show! Then proceed to the right, where you’ll use the accordion bounce to move onward to the finish.
Level 1.14
Ouch. Brace yourself for a challenge. This level is all about momentum, leading from one stunt to the next, and if you stall, it’s all over.
Barrel blast up into a double jump. Activating the barrel switch can be easier if you land on the narrow top of the vertical platform rather over it, but either way you’ll slide down it and bounce off to meet the falling barrel and launch yourself on. Easier than it sounds. That will throw you onto a platform that you will want to splode immediately, and then hit the green barrel. If you’re too slow: smooshed. The green barrel will throw you to a vertical hall of shifting platforms and you’ll want to bounce back and forth, focusing on moving to the side rather than UP. If you move up too quickly, you’ll leave the platforms behind. You might need an extra splode or two to reach the next platform to the right.
Hit the barrel at the end of the conveyor to reach a zipline. Jump over the laser and then drop off the next zipline and jump off the end of the third. That will throw you into a Cannon series, which you will need to aim between the lasers. Aim the final Cannon at the green barrel to launch yourself forward, and then triple jump up the walls to, finally, find the first continue point.
Above you on the right are two Beardies, so go up to your left to get more splode before you attack. Launch the barrel by bouncing off the left wall and hitting it in mid air to reach the ledge to your right. The button above you will move a wall in for you to bounce off. Walk up to it without sploding, and then bounce off it to the Cannon above. The second Cannon rotates automatically, so fire yourself right before it aims completely to the right to safely reach the next one. With the next Cannon, fire up a bit earlier than you think is necessary, or you’ll hit the laser.
SHOES: When you jump into the first Cannon, instead of firing up, you’ll want to fire down and to your left, into the laser area, between 5 o’clock and 4:30. This will fire you under the protection of the vertical wall, and will bring in another wall to protect you. Stay under the horizontal shield while you move to the right, toast the scientist to kill the laser, and grab those sexy boots!
Three more vertical Cannons will carry you to the next section where you will find another continue point. Now you’ll be at a giant pink wall section, where timing is everything. Once you reach the vertical section, a spike wall starts chasing you, but keep your cool. Jump up the left side and bounce off the last green pod to reach the next pink wall. Bounce straight up the middle, avoiding the pods until you hit the first barrel. Let it fall to you and then splode it to reach the next section. Repeat the strategy for the next section, where a green barrel will throw you on.
For the next pink wall section, stay high and moving right, use the first barrel, and then start moving left so you reach the green barrel before the spikes reach you. The next section is about controlled falling, drop toward the first Hazard target, then over to the second on the right. The third target you’ll need to jump once back to the right to reach, but let yourself fall otherwise, then jump once more to the right to hit the final target. Fall straight through the center and you won’t touch any of the green pods, and then blow the green barrel to leave the section and reach the finish. Phew!
Level 1.15
Meet Wheelchair Guy. When you splode him, he flies off in that direction, which makes him handy, if not also kind of pitiable. Leap the green pit and fall down the hole to find the first real section. You have to jump over this Wheelchair Guy to land on his left. That can be a bit dicey. If you splode him accidentally, hit the switch to deploy another one. Use a triple jump to reach the next section, splode the next WG to move on, and leap across the dropping platforms to reach the green pod. Watch your timing here, or you’ll be taking an acid bath.
Splode another WG, drop down, and you’ll reach the first continue point. Drop down again to find yourself on a missile range. You have to kill the scientist to move on, so do it by leaping up and sploding the missile toward the scientist. Drop down again and deploy Mandy. Drop into the trampoline with her and jump up and slightly to the left to drop WG. Splode him to clear the path and then use Mandy again to move on. Leap up the next vertical passage to find the second continue point.
Drop down again to find a death trap! Splode WG ASAP and follow him. Do NOT run all the way to the end but rather stop when he reaches the far side, and he’ll drop the bridge from under you. Repeat the process running back to your left, dropping twice rapidly onto a zipline. When you come off the end, be prepared to splode another missle, which will clear your drop. Be prepared to adjust your fall, as there’s a barrel switch below you that you have to fall through, and if you miss it, you have to start over.
Try to stay dead center in the narrowing laser passages, and make sure to hit the splode recharger at the bottom or you won’t make it. The barrel you deployed should fall onto you and you can splode up to safety. You’ll reach a continue point and move on. Splode WG, follow him, hit the recharger, and then splode the barrel to move on. Double jump to move up and drop the barrel so you can leap out of range of the spiked wall. Triple jump up to continue.
SHOES: Instead of sploding the WG that is at the top of the triple jump, use the glass passage above you to go over and around him. Proceed all the way to the right for shoes!
Splode WG and stick with him. You’ll drop twice and then reach another acid pit. Splode another WG to break the glass floor and then use the two barrels to splode upward and to the left. Hit the continue point and stick with WG through the splode drainers and he’ll protect you from a missile. When you drop down, hit the WG and then both barrels to clear his path. He’ll toast the scientists and you can move on. If not, you can do the job yourself with the black barrel if necessary.
Hit the final continue point. Once you enter the room, bounce off the wall on the left to hit the switch, and then hit the black barrel to clear your path. Cross the bridge to reach the finish.
Level 1.16
After the cut scene, you will face the flying scientist. He actually has two weak spots, one in his backside, when he crashes, and then his windshield. Barrels will appear when he attacks in two different fashions. When he leaves the screen and comes at you side to side, you’ll have blue barrels. When he comes down at you from above, you’ll have green barrels. You’ll face both of these multiple times.
The blue barrel strategy is simply to jump over him until he crashes, then splode him. The green barrel strategy is to use the barrels to blow yourself out of the way before he comes down on top of you. After these simple attacks, you’ll get a brief cut scene where he catches you in a claw. You retain control of yourself, but he can pull you toward him when you splode. Walking away can build distance between the two of you. When he uses his claw, you will need to deploy the barrel and then splode it, which will trap him. Then use the new green barrel to land on the zipline, and slide into him to splode the crap out of him.
Repeat this process three times until the battle done. Then splode up to him to finish.
World 2
Level 2.1
After a typically ridiculous video, you’ll head right, hit a trampoline, and a series of two accordion jumps. The second will throw you onto a rotating platform above some acid, so be careful. After that, you’ll see another accordion platform, but with this one you’ll need to drop a Mandy to act as the counterweight. You will bounce from one blue barrel to another, and then to a moving platform. You may need to splode a couple of times to keep yourself airborne long enough to land safely on the platform. Leap from there to the barrel switch, and meet the green barrel as you fall to hit the first continue point.
This puzzle looks more complicated than it is. The trick is to hit both switches to the left one after the other. Unfortunately, you may have to splode over and reset the second accordion platform if you deploy Mandy too early. Ideally: Mandy launches the barrel while the accordion to the right launches you, you meet the red barrel in mid air and throw it at the scientist. Simple concept. The timing can take some work. That leads to the second continue point.
An accordion platform gives you a serious launch up and over, then just keep moving to the right and down. You’ll find some acid, with a simple barrel jump over it which takes you to a cannon section. All but the first cannon are completely under your control, so moving forward is a snap. At the bottom, fire yourself right and do a triple jump to move up and onward to the next continue point.
SHOES: In the third cannon, instead of firing to the right, aim yourself directly left. You’ll land in a secret cannon, and use it to fire yourself back. Now that you have a view on the angle, use the third cannon to fire yourself slightly above the third one, hitting the wall so you can triple jump up. Drop down onto the accordion platform, and shoes for you!
Use the green barrel to leap up and over the accoridon platform and the lasers. You’ll be coming right back. On the far side, walk straight through the barrel switch and the platform switch. That will throw a blue barrel over to you. Hit the platform switch again and use the barrel to bounce off the platform when it is all the way on your left. That will throw you to the green barrel, which throws you to the cannon. Use the cannon to shoot straight down onto the accorion platform and voila: Dead scientist, deactivated laser, continue point.
Use the wall to your left to drop a red barrel and splode that to drop a weight and release WG. That will cause the floor to drop from under you, so be sure to be standing over the gap! Also, when you land, the suspended platforms will drop fast, so move to your right lickety-split. The accordion jump will throw another WG up and to the right, and then you can drop a Mandy onto the left platform to launch yourself after WG. Follow him all the way to the finish!
Level 2.2
Start sploding off to your right, staying on the platforms and avoiding the pink bots. When you reach the terrifying wall of blades, stay put, simply double jumping up to avoid the bots and hit the platform switch. When the platforms are within range, you’ll use them to triple jump up and on. As near as I can tell, sploding this poor WG does nothing in particular. Use the blue barrel to reach the next barrel switch and splode the red barrel to restore a floor to the room. Hit the green barrel to move on to a continue point.
SHOES: When you’re on the long walkway in front of the giant statue, don’t blow the green barrel, instead keep walking to the right, drop down and you’ll find shoes!
As you dash to the right, you’ll see a red floor of death start to ascend beneath you. Don’t panic, but keep moving! You’ll bounce off the right wall to hit a barrel to reach the realm of the green pods. Hit two of them to reach the far left wall, and then hit three more to cross all the way back again to the right. When you reach the top, you’ll find a simple vertical hallway where you splode a couple of WGs and use barrel jumps to move up. The red floor is still nipping at your heels, so when you reach the green barrels, they will move you quickly to the left and then up, out of the reach of death and to the continue point up and to the left.
As you proceed up and to the right you will meet two robots, and then reach a section with those darn switching platforms. Watch them to get the pace and don’t forget to give yourself an extra splode to stay airborne if necessary. Three solid platforms loaded with pink bots will lead you to another switching platform fiasco. When you reach the end of that, you’ll have a continue point.
In this next section you’ll splode a WG and then chase him down. A series of switching platforms are ahead of him, which will kill him if you don’t move them. So use the blue barrel to launch yourself, the green barrel to get ahead of him, and then splode off the switching platform to the next green barrel to keep moving forward. If you keep him alive, he’ll accordion bounce you to the next continue point.
The floor comes up pretty quick here, so don’t hesitate. Haul all the way to the right, triple jump up into the room on the right, and then wall jump off the right wall to deploy the barrel. Jump back to the left to hit the barrel to land on a moving platform. Jump up to the right, avoiding the pink bot, hit the blue barrel, the switching wall, the green pod, and then you’ll be back on the same moving platform! Hop off to your right again into the opening, charge to the right, bounce off two trampolines, wall jump to a third, then wall jump from a barrel to a trampoline to a wall to a barrel and head back to the moving platform. The platform will stop abruptly, and as soon as it does, jump to hit the switch above you, and splode that barrel to leap up to a cannon which can fire you straight up to safety and another continue point.
Move to the right and splode the red barrel. Then run to meet it, jump up and splode it on the way down. That will let you move on. You’re going to do the same trick again, but this time the red barrel will be bouncing back to you from a trampoline and you’ll have to use a blue barrel to meet it in mid air. The timing can be tricky, but ideally you’ll hit the red barrel and then the blue barrel without coming back down to the ground. That’ll drop a weight which allows you to keep going to the finish.
Level 2.3
Head to the right, splode the WG that’s in the way and hit the rotating platforms. Avoid the lasers as you make your way to the last one. This is tricky, but if you keep walking off the right edge and dropping to the next platform, you’ll hit that switch eventually. That calls in a moving platform from the right, which leads to another one. Jump from the second moving platform to hit two blue barrels in a row, then a wall jump, which bounces you back to the left onto a zipline. Jump off the end, hit the barrel, land on the zipline, jump again to the green barrel, and you’ll fly up to more floating platforms. Move quickly to the left, as these platforms are ascending. Drop back down so you hit the barrel switch, leap across the platforms to the next green barrel, and it will launch you to the first continue point.
Triple jump up and you’ll see the next puzzle. Note the switch which doesn’t help you yet. Triple jump up to the chamber on the top right, kill the scientist to move to the left, jump up the wall to reach a WG who will clear the way to a red barrel. Splode the barrel into the air, and then splode it again as it comes down to you. This will blow the glass ceiling and drop a weight. Use the switch you saw earlier to drop the weight, and deploy Mandy. Release the switch so the floor reappears and catches her. Enter the suit and move past the laser. You’ll drop off a ledge, and when you’re close to the acid, blow the suit to reach safety and a continue point.
Use the tramp to get as high as you can, and then triple jump to reach the top. Keep wall jumping to climb up, and you’ll meet two Beardies at the top and two robots on your way down as you start descending on the left. When you reach the bottom, there’s a small puzzle. Use the blue barrel to jump above the snow blowers, and reach the switch to the right. Then enter the snow blower area and tempt the Beardy into shooting the scientist. That will clear your path to splode the bad guy and hit the switch, clearing your way to proceed to the right and cross the ravine. HIt WG to clear the way to a barrel jump and the continue point.
SHOES: When you drop the Mandy down the conveyors, use it to return to the left near the continue point. You can see a recharge panel above you, and you can use that to reach the shoes.
Use the conveyor buttons to control Mandy’s fall and bring her to you. Take her to the right to pass the laser and fall of the edge. Splode out of her to avoid the acid and land right by the finish!.
Level 2.4
As soon as you start, a floor of death will start chasing you, so don’t hesistate. Hit the trampoline and splode both red barrels. Use your remaining splodes to carry yourself over to the left, wall jump up, killing or avoiding the robots, and reaching the rotating platform at the top. Hit the switch and then jump to the barrel, sploding it to reach safety, a WG, and a cannon. Fire yourself from cannon to cannon to reach the first continue point.
SHOES: After you splode WG, use the cannons to get ahead of him and then drop down to the right. Splode him back to the left, and he’ll hit a lever that will let you reach the shoes!
Jump to the trampoline, and leap once straight up to activate the barrel, and then once arching over to the right to meet the barrel. This will throw you to a new room. Hit the blue barrel to avoid being crushed, hit the switch above, and then drop back down as soon as it is safe. Run to the right to drop through the floor. Keep moving to the right to stay safe on the conveyor and blow the barrel to move on. That will splode you to the right, where you will use two green barrels to move back to the left and kill the scientist controlling the crushing wall. Use the switch to drop a platform all the way down to just above the acid, where is will catch a green barrel, which will propel you to the next continue point.
The next section is straightforward, but you have to be fast. You are chasing the scientist, and if you don’t splode him in time, you’re toast. Use the barrel to reach the zipline, leap to the next one, leap into the glass chamber and keep going on the next zipline. Let the end of the next zipline throw you, but be prepared to drop from the next one and then drop again to ground level to kill the scientist. If you don’t dawdle, it’s not too tough. Hit two green barrels to reach the continue point.
Here you’ll do the same thing twice, juggle the red barrel. The second splode will drop it onto the switching platform. The first juggled barrel moves the platform to you, the second allows you to move forward. Juggle the next barrel to move forward and move in the next platform, which you can just reach. Keep going to the right to the last continue point.From here it’s a pretty each reach to the finish, jump out into space, and the green barrels will take care of the rest.
Level 2.5
Keep moving to the right, there are no surprising challenges until you reach the jet car!. Simply stay in it as it changes from track to track. On the third one, do a little jump up to deploy a barrel and then jump out to it as the track ends. That will bring you to the first continue point already!
Remember for this next section that the direction you’re holding when you splode makes a big difference. Leap up and splode to the switch and second blue barrel and hold left. That will lead you past three blue barrels to the wall, ricochet off that and hit two more blue barrels and then a ledge. The next section you don’t have to do flawlessly, but if you time it right you will ascend, hit a red barrel to clear your path and then a blue barrel to move on. Repeat. Once you reach the top, splode a WG and hit a green barrel which throws you into a wall jump to move on. Use a wall jump to deploy a green barrel which will move you to the continue point.
SHOES: This one is easy. When you reach the top of the giant chain o’ barrels, instead of moving up, move to the right. Splode the first blue barrel you see and don’t let it carry you to the next blue barrel, but hold hard to the right. You’ll need to splode a couple more times to reach it, and there is a green barrel to throw you back on track. Do not though that you need to splode the blue barrel that got you here, though, or you’ll wind up frying on a laser.
Now is your first encounter with the splode drone. They are not too tough to defeat, you simply have to bounce two of its projectiles back to it to put it down. Do a triple wall jump to face another drone, and then start going up. I chose to go up the first vertical passage. You’ll have to do a series of wall jumps, recharging along the way. When you reach the top, go to your right and drop through the glass to release the weight. That will kill the next drone and turn off the snow blowers and take you to the next continue point.
Jump into the jet car and at the end of the line, jump. You’ll repeat this again to move to a third car, and from there hit a green barrel to go flying. That will take you to another car, jump just after the car falls off the end to reach the next car, which you will stay on through the next fall. THEN jump through the platform above, and jump again to fly through the next platform where you will splode a green barrel. The next place you land has a continue point.
Splode the barrel to reach the jet car and leap to avoid the lasers. Hit the barrel at the end and activate the switch to toast all the scientists. Then move to the right to find the finish!.
Level 2.6
The timing on this first setup isn’t as difficult as it looks. Wall bounce on the left to activate the red barrel, then use the blue barrel to wall bounce to the right, meeting the red barrel on its descent. That will cause the scientist ahead of you to die, so you can move forward. Triple jump up to find the first continue point.
Now, the trick with the floating barrels here is not to rush. If you try to hit every one of them, you’ll have a hard time staying in control. Time your ascent so that you’re comfortable, and when you get high enough, move over to the right under your own splodes. Triple jump up and over for the next continue point.
Triple jump up here to move on, and after you drop, aim centrally to hit the barrel switch and then start holding back to the left to avoid a laser at the bottom and land safely. Race a laser to the left, drop through some glass, and hit the switch and the blue barrel to move up and over and meet the green barrel you deployed earlier. Wait for it to reach you, because a splode will destroy the bridge your’re on. That will throw you up to the next continue point.
Here you’ll move onto three moving platforms. You’ll have to move between them to avoid the lasers, but it’s not too difficult. When you reach the end, hit the switch and splode the green barrel to get up and out. Up top, splode the WG and then quickly hit the switch and jump up and to the right to meet the barrel. That will propel you up to activate a red barrel, which you will throw to the right to move on. In the next room, you’ll have the same blue barrel set up as before, jump to the switch and then jump again immediately to reach the barrel. On the next ledge, bounce off the wall to the left to hit two barrels in a row and reach the continue point.
SHOES: In the three moving platforms and lasers section, Instead of using the green barrel to the right to ascend, hit the switch early, and you’ll see another one coming down on the left. Use it to move up on the left side for your shoes.
Splode the glass in the floor to get underneath the laser, work your way under the second one, and then keep moving to the right as a third starts to chase you. You can hit the switch and kill the Beardy with one long jump, and then splode the blue barrel to get up and out with a wall jump. Move to the left to outrun the laser and bounce off the floating platform to deploy and splode the green barrel. Repeat the same basic idea again and you’ll bounce up to safety and a continue point.
SECRET EXIT: Instead of moving to the right, use the floating barrels to move up the left wall. Then you can move in that direction till you fall through to the secret finish.
Juggle yourself across the gaps with the floating barrels. As before, don’t be in too much of a hurry. They respawn regularly, so you can often wait for them to come to you and just splode in place to buy time. That’ll take you to one more continue point.
Hit the switch to drop the guy, then deploy the red barrel and splode it. Move on and follow two more scientists who get throw into the lasers to allow you to keep going. The last one goes through the shredder, but get your timing right and you’ll safely land and hit the finish.
Secret Level 2.7
SHOES:Instead of sploding on the glass walkway, keep moving to the right. You’ll leap off some dropping platforms and stand on the last one as it drops to grab the shoes. Use the switches and blue barrels to jump back to the left.
Get beneath the barrel switch and do a standing double jump. Splode the green barrel when it falls, wall jump into the trampoline, which will throw you into the OTHER trampoline, and splode as you move past the green pod. If you’re too slow, you’ll fly back the way you came and fall into the acid bath. Bounce from green pod to green pod till you reach the top, and then hit the green barrel to splode on. This will throw you into the wall on your left. Let yourself slide down until you can reach the switch, then hit that and the barrel to fly up to the right to an accordian platform. Jump again immediately, or you will be smooshed by the dropping weight. It will propel you back into the air to the first continue point.
Hit the green barrel to fly to the next green barrel, which will lead to two more and then a trampoline. You’ll bounce back to the left, hit another trampoline, and then you’ll hit a wall. Wall bounce up quickly, and the recharge strips will let you reach safety before your toes are melted off and find another continue point.
Run to your right and splode the red barrel, then juggle it as it comes down again to clear your path. Hit the barrel switch to drop a green and use it to leap forward to the next switch. Repeat to leap up to the next continue point.
Use three triple jumps to reach the top and then splode from one Mandy to the next to hit the switches, kill the bad guys, and stay safe. Drop down, let the Beardy kill the scientist, then move to the right. Splode WG and drop down to the left, where you’ll hit a green barrel. That will throw you ahead of WG, so you can splode him back to the left, then use the green barrel to get past him again to push him to the right on the lowest level. Jump the saw pit to reach the next continue point.
Next you’ll face two compactors, which will lead to a green barrel and a zipline. Leap from the zipline to a jet car, leap from the jet car to hit a switch and drop a green barrel, then jump to it. The splosion will throw you to another car. There are two more cars, simply leap at the end to reach the next one. Ride the third one most of the way down as it falls, then bounce off the wall into the green barrel to fly up to another car. Jump the laser to reach the switch, then jump again to hit the green barrel, and fly up to another car. As this one falls, leap out to hit the wall on the right and slide down to where you will find the finish.
Level 2.8
When you get started, the walkway will drop from under you. Stay central to land on the platform below. Drop down to activate the switch and then jump back up to climb on board the rocket ride. This has a timer, so you have just a few seconds to hop on, and then jet away. Hop off after you crest over the top to reach the ledge. Proceed to drop through some glass and hit the first continue point.
Drop down through some more glass to enter a world of snow blowers. Hit the switch to your right to drop a green barrel and splode it to move to your left. You’ll drop through some glass and hit a recharge panel just in time to splode a green barrel before you hit some acid. That will throw you to the right, where a switch will drop another rocket ride, way up back where you came from. Use the green barrel to ascend, hop past some dropping platforms (and watch your timing, it’s easy to get to the barrel and be all sploded out), and hit a green barrel. That throws you to another green barrel which takes you up where you started. Mount the rocket, kill the dude, hit the switching platform to rasie it, and use the barrel to ascend off the switching platform. It actually takes four jumps to make the climb to the continue point, so let yourself slide a bit after the second or third jump.
SHOES: Instead of moving up the switching platform, go to your left and drop through the first hole in the floor. Cling to the wall to recharge your splode and when you hit thin air, splode to your right, timing your triple jump to get as much distance as possible. There’s a platform with shoes and a green barrel to get you back on track.
When you walk out into this room, the platform will drop out from under you. Retreat to the left, bounce off the wall to drop a rocket and mount it to move on. Move to the right to drop and use another rocket, jumping off at the apex to reach the next ledge. You’ll find another rocket, but this one takes you up a hall with lasers. Either jump straight up to the green barrel or jump up and over the lasers, and wall bounce back to the barrel. Head to the left once you get up the corridor, and you’ll face a couple of splode drones as you ascend. After you kill the second one, hit a green barrel to be thrown through some glass to land by a continue point.
Head over to the right to hit a trampoline and on the second bounce, arch over to the right so you hit the barrel switch and meet it on the way down. Splode it to reach another two tramps and a green barrel. That takes you to a room with one of those rising, deadly floors. Get ready to haul. Bounce off the switching wall to drop the rocket and ride it under the gap you created. You’ll reach another rocket which takes you up to the right, and if you jump from it you can hit a switch that creates a bridge for you to land on! You’ll hit a chain of barrels, starting out going back and forth, then heading over to the left where you will wall jump to keep going. Three more barrels takes you to some trampolines. You’ll want to hit the rocket switch while arching over to your right, and when you bounce off that trampoline, you’ll meet the rocket near the middle. When it hits the top, jump up to reach a continue point.
Hop the rocket to cross the blades and leap when you reach the end to clear the crunching wall. You’ll bounce off a switcing wall instead, then an old-fashioned kinda wall, then the same switcing wall, reaching a rocket which will save you from more doom. Leap off the rocket to reach a green barrel which will throw you into a cannon. Fire the cannon to fly through the switch and toward the barrel. Splode yourself straight up to hit the hazard switch and kill the laser, then splode again to move to your right. Repeat the process twice more to move to your right and finally hit a green barrel. That will take you to a dropping platform, so jump fast, and you’ll be at the finish!.
Level 2.9
When you take the first jump to the right, you’ll either need to splode the Beardy or fly over him so that the switching platform drops him. Hit the barrel switch and splode again to get away from the laser. Splode one more time to return the switching platform to the right, and then ascend using your triple jump. A recharger will help you fly off to the right, where you’ll hit a red barrel to switch a platform to catch you. Quickly splode again, then wall jump up. Splode again to move the platform, hit the switch, and jump for the barrel. Lasers will be chasing you, so speed is imperative. Use the blue barrel to jump up and to the left so you can hit the slowly descending green barrel. That will throw you to a platform where you just need to splode back and forth to avoid the lasers. Hit the barrel when it is in range and it will throw you up to safety and a continue point.
Ascend using a triple jump and you’ll have your first encounter with the laser drones. They work the same way as the factory lasers, but they are mobile. If you’re painted with the thin laser, you’ll get toasted by the big one. Fortunately there are lots of platforms to keep between you and them. Splode them to get a massive boost to ascend the room. If you want to ascend without screwing around with these guys, you can jump up the left side of where you came in to reach the top without massive splodes. The exit is through glass to the top right. You’ll drop through into a warm-up area with a switching platform and two drones. At this point there is no acid beneath you, but there will be soon. Same story as before, ascend the room, the easier route is the right wall this time. Exit is again to the top right. That will take you to the continue point.
SHOES: After the second continue, you’ll come into a room with two flying laser bots. Use them to ascend the wall to the left. At the top is a recharge point that will allow you to continue up to find boots!
You can drop the switching wall to give you cover if you need it, but just proceed to the right, avoiding getting toasted. Continue avoiding or destroying the drones as you move the switching platform to hit the barrel switch below, then use the blue barrel to ascend off the switching wall on the right to the one above. Use that green barrel to find the next continue point.
Our old friend WG is back. Splode him and then jump and keep sploding in front of the switch to let him cross the gap. Let him clear the way, then cross the right, blow the blue barrel and ascend. Hit the switch and jump way out to the left to hit the same blue barrel again, this time to jump up and left. A couple wall jumps and a couple of robot guards will be all that stands in your way to the top. Then it’s dropping platforms over spinning blades, and the return of the rocket! Jump for the switch, drop onto the rocket, and ride it till it runs out. Jump off it at the right time to move on to the continue point.
Splode the platform to switch it to continue and avoid the drones. When you reach the window, smash through it and pull back to the left, clinging to the wall till you see a blue barrel. Wall jump and hit two blue barrels in a row, then use the laser drones to keep ascending to the ledge and another continue point.
Hit the blue barrel to ascend. You want the switching platform on the right to be lowered, and the one on the left to be under the barrel. Splode the barrel to get up and over. Splode dead center to retract the two switching platforms, and tempt the laser drones into killing as many Beards as possible. Splode the WGs underground to clear some bad guys and hit the switches. The way to the exit is now half open. When you toast the rest of the Beards, it will be clear. There is more than one way to achieve this, but if you sploded the switching bridge open and you stay underground, it shouldn’t be a challenge. Head up and to the right for the finish.
Level 2.10
Hop onto a moving platform to move to the right, and use the blue barrel to leap over the laser. Leap to the vertically rising platforms before yours disappears. Leap again to the platforms moving to the left, then use the barrel to get up and over again. Follow the platforms on, changing as necessary, and then hit the switch to drop Mandy onto the platform ahead of you. Use the zipline to catch up, and she’ll protect you from the upcoming laser. Proceed to the right and splode out of the suit to reach safety and, of course, a continue point.
SHOES: After you splode out of Mandy, drop off the edge to your left and slide down the wall. You’ll need to splode to open a door, but once you do, there they are!
Wall jump up instead of fighting the laser, and then here comes a robot and a Beardy and another robot, and then up top there’s two splode drones in a row. Bounce off the wall to hit the barrel, then do the same as you hit the right wall. That will take you to a rotating platform. Jump to the green barrel on the left, and it will take you to a cannon. Fire yourself down into another cannon, then shoot yourself into the moving platform to bounce up to the green barrel and up over to a trampoline. After your second bounce, hit the low barrel, the wall, and then the green barrel to ascend. Wall jump to reach another green barrel and rise up to safety. Wall jump up again to hit the blue barrel and splode over the gap to reach the ledge on the right and a continue point.
Hit the green barrel to fly to a trampoline, and as you move to the right you’ll deploy a green barrel and chase it as you hop to the right. You’ll start to ascend the trampolines and then, naturally, the floor will start to chase you up. Keep after that barrel and when you hit the top, splode it to move on before the floor catches you. That will take you past a WG, up into another chamber, and then down to another WG. You don’t have to splode him to move on, but feel free. Drop down through the glass, move to the left, do it again, and then you’re at the last continue point.
Now you’ll see massive, thick switching platforms, but they work just the same. Splode the one before you to open the path, then jump under it and back to it to move on. You’ll land on five in a row that are facing upwards, and when you leap on, you’ll be taking out scientists below you. Convenient! When you reach the end you can splode the last switching wall to smoosh the scientist above you and then you’re at the finish.
Level 2.11
This is, of course, a red challenge level, so mentally prepare yourself for that. The timing for the first pattern is to hit the barrel switch and then, a second later, hit the platform switch. That will throw the green barrel into the trampoline. Meanwhile, do a triple jump to meet the barrel over the lasers, which will splode you up to a zipline. Leap off the end of that to hit a switch and do a mid-air double jump off the walls, through the recharge, and then splode the green barrel. You will repeat the pattern, only fall a bit further to reach the green barrel, which will throw you to a hover car! Ride it to the right, hit the blue barrel to get over the spiked wall, and bounce off the purple background. You can use the green pods or not, as you see fit. The purple background will keep you moving regardless. Hit the next green barrel to fly up to a conveyor. Run to the right, deploy the barrel and jump to hit the conveyor button which will change its direction. Head back to the left quickly, hit the green barrel, which will throw you to another, which will finally bring you to the first continue point.
SHOES: When you reach the first purple background, use the last green pod to jump up and over the green barrel and continue to splode to the right. You’ll find a jet car that will take you toward a wall you can bounce off of to get shoes and land in a car that takes you back to where you need to be.
Jump up, move to the right, and you’ll have some time to kill on the elevator. Once you reach the top, for no apparent reason, there’s another continue point. Hustle your bustle here, charge to the right as fast as you can, hit the barrel, to reach the switch, head back the other way, and do it again. You’ll go back and forth four times, and the floor will be coming up to catch you. In the middle you’ll use a WG to bust things open and use a Mandy to reach the appropriate height. It is straightforward, but it can be tough. Learn the patterns and just keep hauling. A final green barrel will take you back up to a set of three hovercars. Start on the bottom car, hit the switch and then jump to the middle car. Hit the next switch and bounce up to the top car, then up to the platform above. A green barrel will throw you to a green barrel, to a zipline. You’ll find yourself on hovercars again, stay on the top one this time, even though it seems hazardous. Bounce off the platform that comes up next, and land on the hovercar above. Jump to another zipline, which leads to another car. Use the blue barrel to reach the zipline to reach the next car. Jump over the next platform to hit the Mandy switch and then land in the suit on the car. Splode up out of her to hit the switch and green barrel, fly up to the next green barrel, and then one more green barrel will take you to the finish.
Level 2.12
This level will be your introduction to the goo balls, and it can be a challenge. Splode them from their original “star” to another one to activate stuff. Initially, here’s a practice model. Splode the ball from one star to the next to move on. You’ll need to splode the next goo ball twice to get it up into the chamber on the right to move forward. The angle here is pretty important, and the blue barrel will help you get high enough to splode the ball a second time to send it home. Once it has killed the scientist, return it to the star to kill the laser and move on. Move up and on for the first continue point.
Move to the right to see two trampolines. This goo ball has to go almost straight up, but its not that simple, is it? There is, in fact, a third trampoline beneath you to the right. The simplest solution is to bounce the ball into that trampoline and use the middle one to launch yourself to meet it, then drive it up and to the left. An important fact to note is that you drop faster than the ball, which will come in very handy. It also bounces higher than you off trampolines. Once the ball is in the second, higher star, you can move on through the narrow passage to the right. Splode the goo ball to clear the passage, and it’ll find its home on its own. Head up the passage to find your second continue.
SHOES:

Move to your right and you’ll see a zipline. Halfway down it you’ll need to leap up to activate a goo ball. That’s simple. However, jumping off the end of the zipline, you’ll need to hit this goo ball from about an 8 o’clock position, on its bottom left side, to get it into the right place. If you succeed, you’ll have a platorm to land on. If not, you’ll fall to your death. It’s actually pretty straightforward, but it might take a few tries. Jump up through the compactor on this next section, then jump to another zipline and then jump to a cannon. The trick here is to splode to disrupt the ball, which will clear the laser ahead of you. You’ll have to do this several times, and the timing needs to be impeccable. After the third one, you’ll leap through a compactor to arrive at the continue point.
SHOES: Immediately after the second continue, instead of deploying Mandy, climb up to where she was. Do a wall bounce to the platform, then leap into the nook and do a wall bounce out of it on the wall above you to reach the first conveyor. Hop up to the second one and you’ll see the boots above you.
Use the switches above you to safely drop Mandy down the conveyor belts to you. Once she’s on your level, use her on the accordion platform to move up to the right. Up there hit the goo ball into the tunnel on the top right. That will kill the laser so you can drop down and move forward. Deploy the next goo ball and tail is as it wreaks destruction. Finally you’ll reach some acid with a green barrel. Splode to the right, and then deploy the green ball into the hall above you. If you’re lucky or if you get the angle right, it’ll kill one scientist and then drop back down. If you’re unlucky, it can get stuck and you may need to pull the pin on yourself and try again. When the ball returns home, you can move on and up to a continue point.
Hey look, its a jet car! Hop on and ride it off the end, then leap into the next car. Ride this car off the end and as it falls, leap out to the blue barrels. You don’t need to hit them one after the other, you have a bit of forgiveness in case you’re not perfect, because I wasn’t. Remember to hold the direction you want to travel after you splode. They will carry you to a rotating platform which leads to two more, which leads to a rocket! When you’re next to it, jump through the switch to the pod and you should land right on the rocket. Now, prepare to jump as soon as you hit the top, if you jump any later than that, you’ll miss the next car. Ride it until you see a goo ball, jump to disrupt it, and then you’ll fall. There is a car just to your left, and if you control your splodes, you’ll land on it and ride to the finish!
Level 2.13
There’s a Beardy to kill immediately, and then you’ll see that the next bridge has rising and lowering acid under it. As soon as the acid starts to drop, cross the bridge, avoiding the pink bots. For the next bridge, you’ll need to throw the goo ball into the next star, and use Mandy to hop up before the acid catches you. Then wall jump up to the next area and you’ll find the first continue point.
Move all the way to the right till you reach a barrel switch. It deploys two green barrels, and when you splode from one to the next, you’ll move up and to the left. Kill the Beardy here and then wait for the acid to drop before you leap onto a platform. As the acid rises, leap to the barrel, fly through the next switch, and hit more barrels to keep yourself elevated until the acid drops again. Then you’ll reach the far side and use a barrel to bounce off the right wall to a platform. For the first laser, stay on the FAR right edge of the platform, then on the far LEFT edge for the next zapper. Hit the switch and barrel to move over said zapper, and then do it again with the green barrel to reach safety. You don’t have to splode the WG here, but what the hell? Move to the hazard switch and you’ll see a bunch of scientists burn. Move into the cannon, shoot down with it and you’ll see that you’re back at the beginning, but now you can go to the right. That will take you to the next continue point.
This next section is incredible. You’ll need to have a fast thumb, but the scale of it is insane. Hit the rocket switch, the barrel switch, and jump to the green barrel, it’ll throw you to a second, and then to a third, and then you’ll ride the rocket up. Leap up at the apex to hit a falling green barrel, which leads to another green barrel, through a window, which will take you to a trampoline. Do NOT hesitate here, you must chase the barrel across the tramps to the right. Meet it in the air before the laser wall, and launch yourself up to another green barrel, which finally takes you to a continue point. Takes longer to write about than actually to do.
You’ll fly over a laser and then you’ll need to be fast. Stay on the blue platforms to avoid being dropped in the acid. You’ll have to do this for a while until the acid drains. Then hit the barrel and the two green pods to move on. You’ll fight a splode drone and then leap out to activate and catch a rocket. Splode at the top of its flight to reach safety and another continue point.
SHOES:After killing the blade drone, deploy the rocket and follow it without getting on it. Grab the shoes and splode in place so the rocket will land on you.
Move to the right and you can use the WG to kill the Beardy if you like. Hop from one rotating platform to the next and hit the barrel switch. Leap up to land on the next platform, and then to a wall jump to meet the green barrel. Again, you’ll wait for the acid to drop and then use the blue barrel to reach the green pods and keep moving. Then do it again. And again. You’ll need to keep a rapid pace to keep ahead of the acid. A few more barrels and you’ll reach safety and another continue point.
SECRET EXIT: Before you hit the continue point at the end of the long acid sequence, wait for the acid to drop and slide down the wall to your left instead. Ta da!
Hit the blue barrel and then keep sploding to get up and over. When you land, get between the red barrels and throw them to clear the area, which will take you to another continue point.
Hit the two buttons to deploy the rocket and keep it from falling and then wall jump up to it. You’ll ride it through bounces on three tramps and then splode to reach safety at the top. Hitting this switch ALMOST kills a bunch of scientists, but their time will come soon. Drop down, continue to the left over the pit and hit the hazard switch to toast them. Then you can drop down the pit to find the finish.
Level 2.14
Compared to the last couple, this level is a snap. Move up and to your right and you’ll find a jet car. Jump in it and then prepare to jump over the lasers that come up. Prepare to do it again, but this time you’ll hit a green barrel and launch. That will take you to a zipline. Catch up with the car below you, drop in, jump up to hit the switch, and blow the barrel for a continue point and another car ride. Jump over the platform, grab the zipline, jump the lasers, return to the zipline and then jump to a green barrel. You’ll land in a car, and when you reach the lasers, jump as far to the left as possible. That will carry you to a car going back to the right again, jump the platform, splode the barrel, and you will fly a LONG way to the next car. Use two barrel jumps to avoid platforms and enter a cannon. Shoot yourself into the third, lowest car and then jump to a green barrel and another continue point.
Ride this car as it falls until you see a car to jump to. Jump the lasers to the zipline, and then stay up top while the car below drives through two lasers, and then drop to it. Leap off the two laser drones to reach the next car.
SHOES: You get these for free! When you jump from the last car, you’ll hit a massive wall and slide down to get your footwear.
Move up and to the right to reach a cannon, which fires you down. To your right is the finish.
Level 2.15
SHOES: Right off the bat, when you go to the right, past the purple wall and the three green pods, instead of going back when you hit the switch, hit the wall, slide down, and splode your way through the hall to another green pod. That will take you up to the shoes.
The trick to moving past the green pods is to stay in the spaces between them and then leap over them when they’re at their lowest. Sploding them will kill you. Hit the switch and bounce back over to the left. You’ll hit a barrel switch and drop to the green barrel and splode it. This gets dicey, though. While you’re flying, you’ll need to splode a red barrel, and it does not slow down for you. That barrel will switch a wall so you can safely land, bounce off to another green barrel, and fly to a cannon. Terrifyingly, the cannons get progressively faster, so the last one is turning very rapidly when you have to punch it. It will throw you through glass and scientists to the first continue point.
Use this red barrel twice, once to kill the scientist, and then again to open the gate. Run through the gate, past the laser when it turns off, and hit the blue barrel to jump up to the green barrel. When you fly back to the left, be sure to splode to close the gate behind you. Then you can take your time to kill the drone on the right and move up and on. Hitting the Wheelchair Guy here will clear a couple of Beardys. Drop off to the purple section, hit the switch, and keep blowing up missles to stay alive. You can’t destroy the turrets, unfortunately. Drop to the platform and you may have to splode to stay alive, but be careful to stay on the platform. To your right, jump once to hit a barrel, and then jump again to splode it to reach a jet car. Ride that until it falls off the rails and you’ll see where to jump to, and you’ll find the next continue point.
Drop down here and hit the barrel switch. Hit the accordion to launch it and it will bounce back and forth. Hit the weighted accordion platform to soar up into the air, splode once to stay up there, and splode again to launch to the right for another continue point already. And you’ll see why now. The next section is tough. Use the dropping platforms to stay up until the acid drains. Then drop down to the right, and jump across the platforms where the pink bots are. Get to the end and wall jump up to a floating platform. Wait on the tiny platform for the acid to drain, and then drop off and avoid the pink bots as you move on. Wall jump again to reach safety and wait for the drainage. In this next section the double switches will drop and then reset the platform you’re jumping to, which will kill the Beardys. At the end, you’ll jump to the blue bridge, but be careful, as you cannot grab the edge if you miss it. The easiest thing to do is hit the wall and slide down to it. Move on for another continue point.
Do two barrel bounces to move up, hit the WG, jump up for a barrel, a red barrel, a barrel switch, keep flying over, hit the green barrel and then the next green barrel. It’s pretty easy, it will throw you massively through the air and drop you into a laser chamber. Avoid them as you fall and then…duh duh DUH!
ROBOT CHASE: This is just a chase. Run to your right, hit the tramp, and use the barrels that come up to keep yourself moving forward. Then you’ll deploy a rocket, wall jump to reach it, and splode off it to avoid lasers and grab the zipline. Leap off that to a rotating platform, and then further to the right are more trampolines. These will take you to a wall with a hazard switch. Activate the switch to zap the boss with a laser, and then you can jump onto him and splode him! After that you’ll be thrown to the finish.
Level 2.16 THE BOSS
Meet Octo-Poosie!. Stay safe by bouncing back and forth on the tramps at the beginning. Then two more will appear, allowing you to deploy a red barrel and chase it around until you hit it. Rinse and repeat to put him down for the first time and move on.
Now he’ll start to throw crap at you. If it hits too often, it’ll destroy the dock you’re on, so be quick. Throw the objects back at him, and after two you’ll be back to bouncing on a larger scale. When he attacks from the side, bounce up and then splode to keep yourself safe. When he comes at you from above, get out of the way! Eventually another trampoline and a barrel button will show up, so get back to basics. Hit him twice to make him dive under again.
Now you have less dock surface to play with, but watch the shadows of the objects he throws and you should be fine. This time, however, he’ll throw the object right back at you, so be prepared to hit it again. Sink two objects in his pipe and it’s back to the trampolines again!
Different but the same. Now you have to use a blue barrel to get UP to the red barrel to hit him. And you have to hit the switch twice to drop both barrels. Follow the whole procedure twice. Now you’re back to the docks and when you throw an object at him he will defend himself TWICE! Keep at it, though. That chokes the ‘pus on his own…something, and you’re done!
World 3
Level 3.1
There are some killer droids in this level, so if you hesitate, you die. Move to your right and wall jump up. Hit the blue barrel to jump over the oncoming monster bot, then wall jump to hit the next blue barrel and ascend. Head right to hit the switch and then run back to hit the blue barrel to get away from another monster bot. As soon as you’re up on the left, jump again, and you’ll barrel jump into a purple passage above the monster. Drop to the left and keep going. Jump out to the left, hit the red barrel to strike the switching platform and then drop down. Use the purple wall to bounce under this chamber, and then splode the wall on the left to shut it off altogether. It looks hard, but the purple wall and your splodes actually make it much easier than it appears. Hit the switch to call a platform and then keep going to the left for you first continue point.
SHOES: This one is actually pretty easy. When you head out to the left to splode the goo ball, drop straight down to the recharge point and bounce in front of it until a floor appears. Take the floor to the left for boots!
A monster will come for you almost immediately, so hit the goo bal to your left to throw it into another star, which will drop your floor. When you hit bottom, look for a blue barrel to jump the next monster and hit the switch to drop it again. Drop straight down below you to find a chamber with a Wheelchair Guy waiting to be sploded. Follow him down and use the blue barrel here to splode up to avoid the two monsters who will cancel each other out. Drop down to your left to find a continue point and then two splode droids to fight. Drop down and kill the guard robot and use the blue barrel to jump straight up. Splode again to the wall on the left and use it to bounce up. Head up another level to kill a scientist and clear the way and then head to the left. Bounce up so the monster bot sees you and then run back to the right and drop down to the level below you. The monster will fall down and take out the droid at the bottom, and you’re good to go. It can’t chase you into the narrow passage, so you’re safe as you approach the continue point.
Chase the scientist across the bridge until the acid drops back down. Then splode the bridge to prevent him from getting the drop on you and jump up the right side before the acid catches up again. Voila, another continue point.
Hit the ground running to stay ahead of the laser. A barrel jump throws you to another conveyor, run to the right to hit two buttons, then back to your left to catch a blue barrel. Bounce off this conveyor to reach a rocket, wall jump off it at the top to keep going. You’ll cross several conveyors and then jump up to find a WG. You’ll probably kill him once inadvertantly. Use the green barrel to activate a bridge and then hit the Wheelchair Guy to clear your way. Follow him off the tramp and splode him again to take out the laser. Barrel jump to clear the blades and find the next continue point.
Head all the way to the right and do a wall jump up to tempt the monster to this side of the screen. Then go back and use the blue barrel to jump up and hit this switch. Drop down before the monster returns, head all the way right again and hit the barrel switch. Drop out of harms way and come back to the left to do a double blue barrel jump up to safety. In the next room you’ll repeat the same basic process, only to hit a barrel switch on the left, which will deploy a blue barrel on the right. Use this to jump over the monster and hit the green barrel to ascend. Then move to the right very quickly to stay safe, wall jump up and hit the switch so the monsters take each other out! Then proceed to the right to the finish!
Level 3.2
This level introduces a new mechanic. Pink barrels that, when you splode them, take you back and forth from the foreground and background. It is trippy and can take a bit of getting used to. Head to the right, snap into the background, and move the goo ball. Snap back to the foreground, and hit the switch in the pit, watching out for the robot. Moving on, you’ll come up against two Beardies. Continue on to the continue point.
Jump up off the blue barrel on the left to tempt a monster droid toward you. Run to the right, hit the barrel switch after a wall jump, and drop back down to safety. Head back to the left, and use the pink barrel to splode into the back. Hit a green barrel, keep ascending past the pink bots, then jump to the platform, to the blue barrel, and then to the pink barrel. You’ll run into a hazard switch and a continue point down here. Drop off to the left onto the moving platform and ride it to the right. When the laser comes up, a triple splode will keep you safe in the air. Fall off the end onto the next floating platform, and move to the right most edge immediately. Drop again onto another platform. Hit the switch and duck around the lasers to get to the right to hit a switch which kills the lasers. Use the purple wall to carry you back to where you started! Use the double blue barrels to get past the monster, and then immediately hit another blue barrel to get past another monstrosity. That will lead to a green barrel and, thankfull at this stage, a continue point.
Move along with two blue barrel jumps to stay aloft, then wall bounce off to hit a falling pink barrel. In the background, jump up to deploy another pink barrel, and make it snappy, spikes are coming! As soon as you teleport, of course, a monster droid is after you again. Wall bounce to another pink barrel to move on. In the background, hit the pink barrel immediately. You’ll fall near where you started. Drop down to the right to hit the switch. Then drop onto the accordion platform for a launch and another continue point.
SHOES: Instead of hitting the pink barrel above the monster, loft yourself over him, wall jump to get the boots and splode BACK over the monster, then hit the teleport barrel and fall to the start.
In this next section, the key is to keep moving right. You’ll deploy a red barrel, boot it to get a platform to land on, then hit a pink barrel to avoid spikes. In the distance, hit another pink barrel to land on the switching platform. Leap to the right to deploy a barrel and meet it in the air to fly on. You land on a zipline and you will jump over lasers twice before dropping into the car below you (remember, down and a button). Jump off the car to hit a pink barrel, then you’ll immediately hit a green barrel and then another pink one. Move to the right, wall jump, and hit the hazard switch to watch a gruesome death. Then there’s another continue point.
Hit the barrel switch, being careful not to be smooshed, then teleport into the chamber in back. Stand on the conveyor switch until all your foes are dead. Once they’re dead, a blue barrel will appear. Jump back to the foreground to use it to move onto the conveyor and to the right, to the finish.
Level 3.3
Wall jump up to your left to get onto the stationary rotating platforms. Move to your right until you’re on the lower platform on the second rotator. Drop off to the right through the glass floor. Immediately run to the right and wall jump to get to safety and drop the monster droid. After that, go back to the left, hit the switch and drop down this way. Quickly move back to the right, hit THIS switch to avoid the monster again. There are actually two ways to move on. One is to beat the monster to the floor through the hole and quickly splode through all the switching platforms. The alternative is to let it fall first, hit the first two switching platforms, bounce off the second one and close the first one, traping the monster behind a wall. Either way, leap out, hit the green pod and leap to the green barrel to move on. Hit both switches to activate the platforms, and you’re back where you started, only things are working. Now you have another conveyor trick to get Mandy safely down to the floor. Use her to pass the laser. Jump out of her to drop this scientist and cross the pit, jump up again, and you’re at the first continue point.
With this goo ball, instead of setting it up in another star, you have to pass it by ALL of them. Move the ball around the room until the numbers change to “OK” then return the ball to where it came from. That will bring you to another continue point. Move on, but be prepared to retreat immediately. After the crusher wall retracts, barrel jump up to the passage above you. Jump to a zipline, smash through some windows, kill a Beardy, and jump to a rocket. Splode off the rocket to reach another zipline. Leap off it to hit a barrel switch and then a green barrel (you’ll pass another continue). In the next section, use the green barrel to reach a trampoline, bounce off it to a green barrel, and then to the ledge above you on the left. Continue point!
SHOES: Right after the check point, you’ll see a WG and splode up off a green barrel, into a tramp, and then to another green barrel. Instead of proceeding to the left to the continue, go back to the right. Leap out into space and give yourself an extra splode. You’ll hit a recharge point, use that to get to the green barrel and fly all the way to the right. Hit the ground running back to the left, and use the barrel to bounce up and over the monster RIGHT BEHIND YOU! Head back to the right for shoes!
Here’s another goo ball puzzle. Same as the first one, only this one involves trampolines. As often as not you can let the tramps do most of the work, so just be patient. When you’re done, it is easier to throw the ball into the laser in your way than get the ball back where it started. Head to the left for another continue point. The next big puzzle is almost exactly the same, but with the addition of creeping acid. Hurrah! Let the tramps do the work again, and hang out in the purple to redirect the ball as necessary. Head left to reach the continue point.
This next puzzle can be hard to figure because you can’t see everything. You need to hit the ball up on about a 2 o’clock angle and then stand on the switch above you. That will reflect the ball back toward you. Then drop and hit the lower switch so the ball will kill the scientist and allow you to move on. Leap up, wall jump to the green barrel, and follow the passage to the finish.
Level 3.4
From the start, a triple barrel bounce will end in a pink barrel, throwing you to the back. On the next platform, jump off to the right, barrel bounce, and use the second blue barrel to leap back over the laser to the same platform. From there, hit the switch that activates the platform you land on, then splode to the foreground. Immediately head to your left and hit another pink barrel. Hit the barrel switch in the background, meet another pink barrel, and run to the right to hit the switch and kill the monster. As you move to the right you’ll even SEE the finish, but you can’t get there yet. Fall all the way to the right, you’ll hit a continue point and reach the next section. Wait for a big platform, jump on it, let yourself hit the switch, jump to meet the barrel, hit two trampolines and a green barrel to reach a cannon. Fire down onto this platform, jump to the green barrel, hit FOUR MORE green barrels in a massive ascent that takes you past the next continue point and to the next section. Phew!
Drop off this platform onto the one below, then jump over to the left to do a triple barrel jump, a wall jump, and a double barrel jump to reach the next continue point. You’ll cross two robots and a Beardy on the way right after that. Cross over the laser pit, use the switch to drop Mandy and use her to jump to the room above the missle launcher. Hit this switch to deactivate the laser at the beginning. Go back, hit the barrel switch and use the green barrel to get up top. That will activate a red barrel which kills the scientist operating the missle launcher. Now you can use Mandy to move past the laser! Do some bouncing up and you’ll find another continue point.
SHOES: After Mandy, when you are on the very high ledge after sploding off the green barrel, a well-timed triple splode over the acid on your left will land you the shoes!
Drop through the laser corridor, using the green pods to keep you airborne and in control of your fall, moving back and forth to avoid death. At the bottom, head left immediately to outrun the monster. You’ll drop down three levels, and here if you splode off a scientist, the momentum will actually keep you further ahead. It helps. Keep heading to the left, over the blue bridge to hit a switch and drop the monster. Then, you’ll want to jump OVER the monster, hit the switch, drop past and run to the right to find the finish.
Level 3.5
Head to the right. You have three goo ball puzzles of varying difficulties. In each one, simply get the ball into the second “star” to keep moving. Easily enough, that will take you to a continue point and a Mandy. Use the Mandy to wall jump above you to the left and then immediately wall jump again to climb higher and avoid the monster droid. There are two robot guards here and a switching wall. Drop the wall to proceed, fall down to the level beneath you and hit the switching wall again, running from the monster and returning to the upper level. Drop the switching wall to trap the monster, then drop back down on the left to hit the hazard switch. This will clear your way! Proceed in the Mandy suit to the next puzzle. Here, bounce the goo ball to hit both trampolines and fall down the passage. That clears the way to the next continue point.
Run to the right to escape the crusher. Switch the laser to get it out of your way, then move to the right to hit that switch and then run to safety. Finally, hit the right accordion so the left one is poking up. Then jump OVER it to hit the switch and quickly get back to the lowered accordion platform. The crusher will launch you up!
Jump onto the rotating platform, and when at the top, do a double jump to grab the platform above. Now you’ll be doing some barrel jumping, with a laser chasing you. Use the first two to go to your right, but remember to hold left on the third one, or you’ll fly in the wrong direction. Proceed to the left where you will wall jump and finally hit a green barrel to reach the top.
SHOES: When you make it to the top, before you hit the checkpoint, slide down the wall to your left, and you’ll find a shoe chamber!
The next little trick can be a pain. The secret I found is to slide down the wall of the pit to reach the recharger and barrel switch rather than dropping. That will let you wall jump to the barrel and move on. Hit the next switch and bounce off the new wall to get the green barrel. That will launch you all the way to the right, now you need to quickly move back to the right. Lasers will attack you when you hit these hazard switches. TIP: The barrels are there to help you, but are not key. You can leap from one platform to the next with a triple splode, so don’t freak out if you miss one. When you reach the left, all the lasers are now raised and out of your way. Use the trampolines to return to the right AGAIN and as you do, hit the switches that drop the weights. When you reach the far right: finish!
Level 3.6
This is a red level. A challenge level. And they are NOT messing around.
Splode through the glass, drop down, run to the right and you’ll do two barrel blasts in a row. The second flies you to the back. Immediately move to your left and jump or you’ll get zapped. Move between the lasers, hit the barrels and keep going. When you make the first jump up to the left, its easier to jump up to avoid the laser, then drop back down to where you were, THEN jump up to activate the barrel. That will give you a lot more time to work with. At the top, splode a pink barrel to fly to the right. Leap off through the switch and you may have to splode again to stay at the right height for the barrel. Land on the switching platform and immediately jump up to the right switching wall, off to the barrel, and then off the left switching wall to land in a jet car. Easier than it sounds, sadly. Jump out of the car as it drops to hit a switch and a green barrel, you’ll land on a platform and jump to a cannon. Fire into the cannon, jump to your left, hit the switch and then the green barrel to FINALLY reach a continue point. Hallelujah!
Splode the green barrel, which leads to three more. When you go vertical, you’ll hit the wall on your right. Slide down into the barrel switch and wall jump to reach the barrel. As you fly, be sure to hit the red barrel on the way left, then you can bounce up via switching walls to reach another green barrel. That launches you to a trampoline. This is tricky. Do NOT hit the barrel switch on the way up. Rather, bounce to one side of it and hit it on the way DOWN, bounce back up off the tramp and meet the barrel between the crushing plates. It may take a couple of tries, unfortunately. However, this green baby throws you to another continue point. Phew.
SHOES: Before you cross the continue, drop down the wall on your left. Slide down it, and once past the snowblowers, you’ll recharge enough to hit a barrel, which takes you to shoes. Yay!
Hit the green barrel and then the blue one, holding hard right to keep flying in the right direction. If you time it right, you can just sit on the rotating platform, hit the barrel switch, and rotate around to splode it. If not, you’ll have to dance with the platforms and the laser a bit. Splode up and over the laser with the blue barrel, meet the green one in the air, fly to a rotating platform, and then drop to a blue barrel that will help you get enough air to aim your fall through these treacherous lasers. Not fun and not easy, but hey you CHOSE to play the challenge level, right? Purple splode walls will help you maintain your sanity as you drop through lasers, and when you hit the bottom you’ll hit a continue point and get chased by a giant robot!
Hit the green barrel to rocket forward, and you’ll jump up and down twice to avoid obstacles. Hit the barrel switch to move up and over, and do it again with the green one. Drop off this platform, hit the green barrel, and do a quick wall jump up and over. Splode this green barrel to move forward again, and splode your way across these platforms quickly to hit the next green barrel. That will lead you to dropping platforms and recharge panels, but its actually really easy if you just keep moving. One more green barrel takes you to the hazard switch which deploys the massive laser, wall jump to splode him and it’s all over as you skate to the finish.
Level 3.7
Wall jump up to the platform above you and be prepared to get twitchy. Barrel jump to the next platform, and you’ll be running ahead of a laser wall. Jump up IMMEDIATELY or your timing will be all off. When you reach the far right, avoiding the pink bots, wall bounce before the laser wall comes back to move to the left. As soon as the lasers begin to move back to the right, wall jump up again and move to the right. When you reach the end, you’re going to wall jump up to hit the switch and get OVER the laser wall. Then move quickly back to the left. In this chamber is a splode bot which you will need to put down quickly. Move up, green barrel, continue point.
Barrel jump up once to gain higher perspective. Splode the blue barrel when you see the base of the platform above you all the way to the right. That will let you grab the ledge and climb up. Ascending is easy here, go from purple wall to purple wall, but the robot guards will ruin your day. Be patient, focus on avoiding rather than killing them, and keep moving up. When you hit the green barrel, you’ll leap to the next section. Wait for the lasers to open up and watch the pattern of the pink bots. Head all the way right, then back to the left. This bit hear drove me nuts, the platforms aren’t quite far apart enough to be easy jumps. I wound up leaping and then pulling back just a bit to land directly on the platforms. And of course, since they’re hard to land on, there’s a lot of them. Move to the left, then up to the right, and up through a couple of passages to reach a blessed continue point.
Next is an endurance puzzle, and it sucks. I’d check the video, describing it is nigh on impossible. Move on to the right, hit the green barrel, and sweet, sweet continue point.
Try to stay on top of the rotating platform as much as possible to keep hitting that switch. When it comes within range on the right, bump off it, hit the next wall, and green barrel up. You land on a zipline, leap off the end to jump across several green pods and find a rocket. Jump off the rocket and through the lasers to hit the accordion platform, and now its trampoline time. Deploy the barrel and use it to ascend. In the next section, you must keep moving. Use the two trampolines to simply keep moving back and forth, avoiding the laser, until the green barrel arrives. If you splode in here, the way it throws your timing off will likely end you. Splode the green barrel for a continue point and the next section.
The next bit is all about the hustle. Haul to your right, jump once off the end of the last conveyor to fly through the glass, and ideally you’ll only jump once more to get to the end of the platform. The more you splode, the more time you waste, and death is chasing you. If you have the time, hitting the green barrel will throw you up and over the laser wall, if not, ZAP. Up top, jump on the conveyor to the left, cross two rotating platforms, and hit a green barrel that leads to another. That will throw you into a huge jump with a continue point at the end.
This passage is a simple ascent with blue barrels and guard robots. Unfortunately, it is also very hard. There is no trick to passing it, but be sure to hit the walls and slide down them to get behind the robots and splode them, or they will get in your way. Don’t get ahead of yourself, just cross back and forth in pace with the lasers. When you get closer to the top, you’ll have to pass back and forth twice, activating barrel switches before you can proceed. Fly up off a barrel, a wall bounce and another barrel to reach the end up on the right. Finish!
SHOES: Before you cross the finish line, use the right stick to reveal the barrel below you, the one that got you here. When it’s between the laser walls, jump onto it and use it to splode over the wall on your left. That will lead you to a passage where you will find boots!
Level 3.8
Jump up to avoid getting shot and kill this dude. Then use the cannon to fire past the green pod to hit the hazard switch and wall jump up. Once I managed to jump OVER the cannon to splode the pod first, but I couldn’t duplicate it. Kill the splode droid here and then use this cannon to fire past the next green pod. Blessedly the next cannons will fire you automatically, until you hit another green pod. Use the three of them to ascend, and then fire the cannon when the last green pods are starting to move, and just as the first ones are starting to close. Slide down the wall and you’ll see monsters waiting for you. Hit the barrel switch and run to your left, leaping out into space, where a barrel is waiting. Sadly, if you have TOO much of a lead on the killer droid, you’ll bounce back into it. Do the same thing on the other side, splode BACK up to the green barrel, which will throw you to the continue point.
SHOES: When you fire through the green pods, if you bounce off the wall and go UP, you can do a wall jump to reach a robot guard and some shoes!
Jump to the first cannon, and the easiest path is to shoot to the top one, then the one on the right. The next few are simple, just wait for the right timing, and the last one is a bit more challenging, but just remember to aim a bit ahead of where you want to go. Slide down the wall, and splode another splode droid. Drop into the cannon below you and splode up. Clear the path for yourself to the right, use the right cannon which leads to another cannon. The next cannon will fire you to an auto one, which puts you above some glass panels. Fire straight down and use the next cannon to reach safety and a continue point.
See the face of your nemesis! Wall jump up, then again to reach the highest area. Deploy the barrel, then chase it with the cannons. It’s easiest to hit the red barrel on the bounce BACK if you time it right. That will kill the laser. Drop down and activate the switching wall to kill the drop. Move to the right, to a cannon and a continue point.
This next part is all cannons and it is SICK. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot in the way of tips that will help, except to say that you should generally fire BEFORE you think you need to, except the first vertical cannon, when you should fire slightly AFTER you think you need to. It’s also about twice as long as you think it’s gonna be. At the end, you’ll fire into a pink barrel which will throw you into the background and away from the chasing laser walls. There are two robots here, drop down to the pink barrel, and you’ll enter the foreground again. Proceed to the right for a continue point.
Drop into the glass chamber and hit the swtich. A laser wall will pass over you, as it does, get back out and run to the right. Drop the barrel to break the glass and then return to drop into the next chamber. Once the laser is past, use the barrel to hit the switch above, wait for the laser to return, and then move on. Splode the red barrel twice to clear your path, drop into the next pit, hit the switch, wait on the laser, run to the finish.
Level 3.9
You can hit one or two of these droids to make it easy to reach this platform. Hit the switching wall on the right to protect yourself, and then the switching wall on the left. The droids won’t be able to hit you. Once the barrel has fallen, jump out and back to the entrance to hit the barrel and reach a continue point. Hit the green barrel to continue, then do a wall jump to hit the next green barrel. Repeat. And know that because this is so easy, something brutal is probably coming. Leap out to a switch and a green barrel and get launched to another continue point.
Jump up to draw fire and then use the platform to stay sheltered as you move to the right. Don’t run out of splodes, as you need them to kill two Beardies and jump over a moving laser. Keep moving to the right, jump a blade pit, and drop through the glass, staying central to avoid lasers. You can run fast to the right or hide from this laser bot. If you stay in the right corner under the laser above you, you’ll be safe from the shot. Move to the right again for a continue point. Avoid the laser bot, hit the red barrel, and wait for the green barrel to fall. It’s easier to kill these guys than avoid them. Jump up via green barrel to find another one and reach a continue point.
SHOES: In the section with the three laser bots, instead of waiting for the barrel, spring off the laser bots, right-left-right, to find boots up and to the right.
You’ll bounce off two blue barrels, one droid, then another barrel, then four droids. At the fourth one, hold back to the left when you splode, then back to the right off the next one, and the next one. That will throw you to a green barrel and all the way to a switching platform. Hold the switch on the left until that platform is above you, then leap to the right and do the same. Once the droid on the left is done firing, leap back and return the platform to its original position. Do the same on the right. That will protect you until platforms start sliding by underneath. Drop onto one, ride it to the right for a green barrel, which will throw you to a continue point.
SECRET EXIT: When you cannon up after the Mandy episode, instead of going right, shoot yourself straight to the left! You’ll need to fire yourself into a laser drone, and bounce up and over, but it’s pretty easy if you know what to look for.
Grab this platform, but do NOT climb up it, even after the lasers. It will protect you from a bot. Jump ahead, drop a Mandy and she will let you leap up to the platform above as you move on to a cannon. However, I missed her and was somehow miraculously able to splode enough droids to reach the cannon anyway! Not recommended. This cannon will shoot you straight up. Fire to the right, bounce off the bot to the next cannon, and repeat, keep moving to the right to the finish.
Level 3.10
Hold onto your pants. This level is unforgiving, but at least it’s short! It’s all a controlled drop. Drop centrally, then left, then right for hazard switches to let you keep moving. You can use splodes to juggle yourself, but then you need to hit green pods to recharge or you’ll run out, which means death here. It’s way too complicated and fast to explain better than that, so refer to the excellent video guide above.
SHOES: They are right below you as you finish the “hips” of the level. If you have a fully charged splode you can drop onto them and hop up and over to keep dropping.
Level 3.11
Drop down once the laser shuts off, wall bounce to the switch and hide in the pit. When the lasers turn off again, hit the rocket, and jump out into the room above. Kill the robot and hit the switch. When safe, drop and run to the next pit. Once the lasers turn off again, splode the goo ball up and over to the next star. Return to safety and then proceed to the right when it’s clear. Deploy the green barrel when you can and it will carry you to the next pit. Jump up and use the switch to move the platform all the way to the left. When clear, hit the barrel switch and then move the platform just a bit to the right to catch the green barrel. Splode it to fly a very, very long way and hit a continue point.
SHOES: Instead of all the shenanigans catching the green barrel, use the platform to stay safe from the lasers, and then keep going to the right when the coast is clear. Done and done.
Holy crap. This next section is not complicated, but the only trick is, you have to be perfect. You’ll drop down onto platforms, and hit the switch to the left, then run like hell to your right. A giant robot will be following you. The trick here is to utilize double jumps as often as possible for the distance, but then not to forget that you need to recharge. Pausing ONE second while on a platform will give you enough time, but you will be so panicked it’s easy to forget. Especially double jump off the end of both conveyors. After the second, you will find a green barrel which saves your bacon and takes you to a continue point.
Jump up to the platform and hold onto the edge until past the laser. Use the barrel to get up and over the next laser, then jump to the next platform. Again, hang from the edge, move to the next one, hang from the edge AGAIN, and jump up to hit the blue barrel. You’ll land on a conveyor. Do NOT jump, just keep moving to the right and you’ll drop back onto your platform. Jump to grab another edge and hang, and drop before you hit the end to fall through some glass and reach another continue point.
This is a bit of a pain. You need to drop the barrel and instantly jump to the central platform to save the barrel. Then jump to the right to kill the laser and get the barrel to you. Splode it and move on. Jump from the blue platform in the floor to the drop platform, up to the wall on the left, and then up to a recharger. Use that to get a triple splode going to move all the way to the right. Run, wall jump to the green barrel and then your path is clear right to the finish.
Level 3.12
Hit the goo ball to launch it into the trampoline. Now you’ll have to babysit it by walking along the lower platforms to raise the higher platforms. You probably won’t be so lucky as to just keep walking, you’ll have to keep pace with the slowing ball of goo. Move up the next passage, but cling to the edge instead of climbing up. Do a wall jump to the platform above you and it will kill the splode droid. Move on and you’ll see a monster above you. Barrel jump into the gap above you so it sees you and comes to the left. Then repeat the action, but this time follow it to the right as it opens the path for you all the way to the continue point.
SHOES: Instead of moving to the right on the lower level, after the monster has been tempted to the left, barrel jump up onto the ledge and run to the right, wall jump to reach the boots AND clear the monster and go back down the way you came. You’ll want to jump and drop through the hole, not just drop, or you might grab the edge and get wasted.
Jump into the purple section, hit the goo ball at about 5 o’clock and land on the platform to your right. That will deactivate the laser. Drop to the green barrel below you. Arrest your momentum with the purple wall, fall to the next one, jump to the right and land on the platform, dropping the green barrel and then sploding it. Fly to the right and splode immediately, wall jumping up these platforms to a position up on the right. It’s tight, but wait for the spikes to move down while standing RIGHT in front of the barrel switch. As soon as you can, hit the barrel and move on. Repeat to the top and then you’ll fall to the right. Run to the right to escape the monster, bounce off the wall to get over it and kill it, and then find another continue point.
Next the sequence goes platform-barrel-bounce thrice, and then a green barrel takes you to a PINK one, and for that one you have to be very fast on the trigger. Then you will bounce back and forth from foreground to background until you hit a green barrel that leads you to a continue point. Wall jump off the platform to the right to open the space above you and then jump up via tramp to activate a platform. Walk onto it and jump the laser that comes almost immediately. Then wall jump off the right to the upper platform, ride to the left, and hit that hazard switch Continue left to splode a mighty green barrel for another continue point.
Splode the Wheelchair Guy and then get up to the platform above you. Once WG has bounced up above, move to the switch to give him a push. Let the platform get all the way to the right, in front of the blades, and then use the cannon to shoot yourself into it, dropping onto the accordion. Wall bounce to the OTHER accordion, and a Mandy will drop to throw you this time. Up top, splode WG AGAIN to clear the way while you run up above him. Up ahead, the next continue point.
This is some twisted stuff here. You’ll have to babysit a green barrel while a crusher comes down on you. Remember, when you get off a touch pad, the corresponding pad will stay active for a couple of seconds longer. It’ll help. Go from platform to platform down, then hit the switch to move the platform over the hazard switch to drop to it before the barrel meets the laser. Do the same thing again to reach the next hazard switch, which will lower the spikes, then use the cannon to shoot yourself at the green barrel. Remember, fire early! This will literally throw you into the finish.
Level 3.13
Bounce off the pressure pad to your left, and the leap from platform to platform. Hang from the EDGE of the second one until you cross under the laser, then leap up and over. Hit the barrel switch and drop to safety, waiting until the spikes are clear before sploding the red barrel, which clears your path to a green barrel. A barrel jump and a bit of progress takes you to the first continue point.
This section is fast and hard. Use the rotating platforms to go up and once they stop moving, use the pressure pads to rotate them. This gets very ticklish at the top, when you have to do quite a bit of rotating, so the faster you do the first, easier parts, the more time you’ll have. Leap up to hit two barrels to reach safety and a continue point.
SHOES: Before you hit the continue, hit the barrel switch and look down. Splode the barrel, fly to the left, double jump to reach the next barrel, and then double jump again to reach the ledge and shoes.
The next section you must start immediately, because the floor is coming for you! Jump, jump, wall jump and keep going up. You’ll start barrel jumping, when the paths split, go right the first time, left the second time, and then God help you. The lasers are moving! Double sploding can buy you some time if you need it, but the floor is coming fast. You will wish I could do this for you, trial and error is the only way for you to get through it. Blessedly, reach the top, hit a greenie, and you’ll fly to continue point.
Jump out and to the right to land on a cargo platform. Double jump so you land ON it, not hanging from it. Move about three more to the left before the crusher gets you and hit a pink barrel. In the background, kill the robot and hit another pinkie. You will drop down onto more cargo and as soon as you do, a laser will chase you. Drop to a mid-level platform so you have choices and don’t bounce up into the laser above you. It’s easier to use multiple jumps to clear lots of space here than go from one platform to the next. Just remember to pause to recharge! Hit another pink barrel, kill a splode droid, hit another pink barrel and you’ll be dancing with more cargo on the way to a green barrel. The trick for the last part is to check out the cargo platforms before you start. Start at the BEGINNING of a cargo run, when there are about seven platforms in a row, then a gap. Drop down onto the first of the seven and head to the right and you will make it, all the way to the finish.
Level 3.14
This first section isn’t too tough. Drop down as soon as the acid level falls, bounce to the next platform, wall bounce up and over, hop down onto the newly activated platform, and then wall jump out before the acid rises. The green barrel will throw you back to the beginning where there’s a blue barrel to carry you up. Hit the red barrel and use the purple platforms to stay airborne while you move it forward. The unlimited splodes make this a snap. Drop down and head to the right for a continue point.
This next giant room is ridiculous, but not that tough. Bounce up and land on the lowest tramp below you on the left side, which is now clear. Bounce until the lasers get out of the way, then bounce up to your left to hit the next switch, up again, up to the right, up OVER the laser, over to the newly clear tramp on the right, DOWN to the lower tramp beneath you, careful of the laser, then to the last tramp with the switch, then through the opening! Head to the left, hit the barrel to drop, then hit the red barrel to clear your path. The blue barrel moves you forward to a blue barrel and then a green one that takes you to the next continue point.
Jump to the platform, THEN hit the green barrel and do a triple wall jump to ascend. Then haul to your left, and start barrel jumping up, avoiding the crushing walls. When you reach the top, camp on the hazard switch to kill the monster that charges toward you. Get off the switch to retract the wall, hit the barrel switch and then the barrel for the continue point.
SHOES: When you’re jumping up the tunnel with the crushing walls, delay and slide down a wall before you reach the top. Do NOT jump into any of the alcoves or you will reactivate the crushers. On the bottom, move all the way to the left for shoes.
Hit the switch to drop the wall and kill the scientists, then proceed. Wall jump up the passage on the left to the top. Use this switch to kill the FIRST Mandy, but not the second. Drop onto the accordion to launch Mandy and then use the central switch to drop her off. She will hit the tramp, so move to the switch on the right to clear the laser for her path. Now you can drop through the hole in the floor and proceed. Jump out of her to the right to land in a space with a continue point.
This next part is sickly hilarious. You need to splode scientists to keep moving, unfortunately, they do not recharge your splode, so there is no room for effor. There is a recharge midway, and then two more scientists get you to a rocket. Since you can’t splode in midair, you don’t have any to waste, your aim will have to be impeccable. Splode off the rocket to the right and move on. Splode off the barrel and the wall and just march past the missle launcher. One will hit you, but if you keep moving you’ll reach the continue point before you die.
SECRET EXIT: Use the missle to your advantage. Tempt it to fire at you and then run back to the left. It will hit the switching platform beneath you which will open it up, allowing you to finish.
Hit the switch and then the barrel to land in the car. Leap out to hit the pink barrel, then head to the right to hit two green ones and then return to the foreground. WAIT until you see the car before hitting the blue barrel to return to the car, then leap out and hit the hazard switch to clear your path, then hit the one immediately after. Leap to the pink barrel, then hit the next one to reach the foreground and the finish.
Level 3.15
This first section isn’t too tough. Leap to the pink barrel, then hit the next one to reach the foreground and the finish.
Level 3.16
SHOES: As hard as this level is, the shoes are easy. Head to the left, splode the boxes, walk into the chamber to hit the barrel switch, and use the pink barrel to splode into the background, where you can proceed to the left for another pink barrel and the shoes. Return the way you came.
Remember, this is a challenge level, so brace yourself appropriately. At least it’s short! Run off to the right, jump off three platforms in a row, hit the tramp, bounce back to the left, and arrest your inertia and immediately jump back to the right, off the vertical wall. Bounce up to hit the barrel switch, drop to the barrel and hold left as you splode to reach the next platform. Wall jump to recharge and move up, then do a triple bounce off the walls to reach the next barrel switch, two platforms, and a green barrel, up to a high platform. Then jump to the left, hit the blue barrel, and reaching the trampoline. Hit a blue barrel then a green barrel to fly to the left, bounce off the wall and hit the green barrel, which will throw you all the way to the right through some glass (you may need to splode to stay above the spikes) and to a blessed, holy continue point.
Leap off the platform into the cannon. Once the platform ahead of you is aligned, fire yourself so you hit the hazard switch, bounce off the wall to the barrel, and up and over to a pink barrel. Fly into the background, and you’ll hit a green barrel and fly to another pink barrel. Wall jump to the blue barrel in the foreground, and that will leap to three more blue barrels on the way to the left. Bounce right on the last one to do a triple wall jump, recharge, and hit a green barrel. Ride the conveyor to the end, hit the green barrel, wall jump off the left wall to the next green barrel, which leads to two more, which leads to the finish!
Level 3.17
The first section needs no guidance, as you get to the first continue point as a freebie. From then on, it gets tough. The key to the first section here is speed. Hit the switch and start wall bouncing. You’ll need to do three double taps to reach the blue barrel, and then immediately do a double jump to hit the switch and hit the green barrel before getting crushed. That takes you to the next section, where you wall jump and barrel jump to stay on platforms, moving upward, until you hit a green barrel to the next continue point.
Take the elevator up and go to the right. Catch the edge of this platform, climb up when it is clear and wall jump to the one above you. Barrel to wall jump to the next platform, then jump up to the zipline and drop down immediately again. Wall jump to the next platform, barrel jump off this platform to avoid the laser, then barrel jump again to reach a Mandy. Drop down and head to the right past the laser. Drop off the ledge here and splode to cross the gap. Proceed down some halls, use the goo ball to clear the hall and hit the barrel to move up. Splode a WG and drop down here to find another continue point.
SHOES: Instead of jump off to the right after the red laser section, use Mandy to propel yourself up, then bounce off the left wall into a jet car that will carr you to shoes!
ACHIEVEMENT: If you followed this walkthrough meticulously, you will now receive the Golden Left Show Award, worth 25 gamerscore, for collecting all the shows in the single player game!
Shoot the cannon through the gap, and then head down and to the left. Two Beardies and two robots guard the way to the continue point. Drop down and here’s a puzzle. You need to move the goo ball to the next star, and you need to stay aloft on all these barrels to do it. Hit the ball once at 4 o’clock to propel it in the right direction, and then bounce up to hit it once more straight to the right and you should be golden. In the next chamber, jump up once to hit the barrel switch, then wall jump to the platform above. You may need to pause for an instant to recharge, then leap up and hit the barrel. In the background, bounce up the purple section ASAP, then drop to hit the next pink barrel. In the next section, wall jump off the swtiching wall to raise it, then hit the switch on the left to get out. Wall jump off the switching wall to get to the barrel, which will cut off the laser to the right and let you move to the next continue point.
While dropping, hit the red barrel to clear the path, and then fall to the rocket. At the end of the rocket, leap up to the right, hit the red barrel, bounce to the blue barrel, and then hold right to make sure you reach the green barrel. You’ll hit the right wall. Slide for an instant, then get off the wall and splode JUST ONCE, to get out to the left. Drop down to hit a red barrel and then a green one. Splode over the purple to avoid the spikes, and then hit three red barrels on your way down to a cannon. Use the cannon and a laser bot to get to the next green barrel. Bounce off the wall to hit the rocket switch, mount it, and then jump to the next cannon. Laser bot to the green barrel, and now you’re in controlled falling. Do NOT jump away from the wall, just push away and follow the lasers. This is a LONG section, but not terribly difficult, just stay toward the middle, shadow the green barrel on the way down, push right to meet it, and walk through a wedding reception (!?) to the finish.
Level 3.18 THE BOSS
This starts out weird and gets weirder. The bride does some obvious telegraphing, ala Punch Out — just dodge her hits (left, right, or duck) and punch until she drops. When she pulls back all the way to one side or the other, duck. Not too tough. Splode the barrel at the end. Her second iteration on the other hand, is very challenging, in addition to being absolutely freaking hideous. The tells are a simple pull to one side, means dodge to the opposite side, then come back punching. Likewise, dodge to the side of the boob that is highlighted (yes really) and come back hitting. When she does the weird telegraph by turning her hand back and forth, you’ll dodge right, left, right. Splode the barrel when she runs out of juice. The third go-round is much harder, she takes more hits, and she brings out the brass knuckles. When she drops back and wiggles, get ready to duck four times in a row. When she wiggles her fingers at you, be prepared to dodge to THAT side. Some of the attacks from the last round will appear again, too. Splode the last barrel and be prepared for the hokiest final video you have EVER seen in a video game.
ACHIEVEMENT: Right about now you should rack up the appropriately named Sore Thumbs, Inflated Ego achievement, worth 20 gamerscore, for finishing every level in the game. Provided you didn’t wuss out on the challenge, levels, in which case, now’s the time for backtracking.
