The Last of Us Remastered Artifacts Guide

Today marks the official release date of Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us Remastered in the UK. What better way to get ahead of the game than reading our Artifact Locations walkthrough! The artifacts come in various forms and are littered throughout the game. In this part of the guide you’ll find the locations listed for all the artifacts in The Quarantine Zone, The Outskirts, Bill’s Town and half of the artifact locations in Pittsburgh. The Quarantine Zone

Artifact 1 – Note to Brother
In the second chapter of The Last of Us Remastered, you’ll come across Runners; when do you this initially head up the stairs on the left to discover this artifact.

Artifact 2 – Drafting Notice
To find this artifact in The Last of Us Remastered you’ll need to have a keen eye as it is located on the ground in the Quarantine Zone.

Artifact 3 – Wanted Poster
As you enter the second Quarantine Zone, assess the walls because that’s where you’ll find this wanted poster artifact.

Artifact 4 – Warehouse Key
The warehouse key you are looking for is held by a guard that you’ll meet on your route to the Docks. Kill the guard and retrieve the artifact for your The Last of Us collection.

Artifact 5 – Shipping Manifest
Take a stroll long the waterfront in the The Quarantine Zone chapter and you should come across this shipping manifest artifact near a dumpster.

Artifact 6 – Docks Note
Dumpsters seem to be the ideal hiding place for The Last of Us Remastered artifacts. Investigate the back of dumpsters in the dock area, you’ll uncover the note on the ground.

Artifact 7 – Boston Q.Z. Map
Do not worry about collecting this artifact; it’s given to you.

Artifact 8 – Military Pamphlet
This artifact is also handed to you.

 

The Outskirts

Artifact 9 – Tess’ List
Prior to dashing out of the safehouse, check the tables for this The Last of Us Remastered artifact.

Artifact 10 – Patrol Routes Map
Once you take the lift down to the ground, search the floor for the patrol routes map.

Artifact 11 – Evacuation Leaflet
In The Outskirts chapter of The Last of Us Remastered you’ll need to crawl through some sewers. But afterwards search the street for this artifact.

Artifact 12 – Field Ops Log
Just before you head upstairs to Level 5, keep your eyes peeled for this field ops log, particularly at the bottom of the stairs.

Artifact 13 – Firefly Map
In the course of this The Last of Us Remastered chapter, you will discover a room with Clickers in it. Just before this room, in the subway, you should spot this artifact.

Artifact 14 – Note to Derek
The room with Clickers also contains a The Last of Us Remastered artifact for your to collect. Check the area all the way to the left.

Artifact 15 – Medical Pamphlet
Once you climb over the lobster truck in The Outskirts chapter, head into the backside of the vehicle to uncover this artifact.

Artifact 16 – Firefly Orders
At the very beginning of The Capitol Building you’ll need to search below the metal stairs for the Firefly Orders.

Artifact 17 – Smuggler Note
As you make your way along the flooded tunnel in this section of The Last of Us Remastered, Ellie will discover a torch and beside her there will be the smuggler note artifact you’re looking for.

 

Bill’s Town

Artifact 18 – Pills Note
Once you pass the water tower in the Bill’s Town chapter of The Last of Us Remastered, you’ll need to head into the first house you see. Up on the second floor of the house you’ll find this note.

Artifact 19 – Note to Bob
Along the main street of the town you should find a barrier covered in barbed wire. The note to Bob will be waiting for collection in the barbed wire itself.

Artifact 20 – Perimeter Note
When you come across the record store in town, head to the back where you’ll be able to collect this The Last of Us Remastered artifact.

Artifact 21 – Note to Rachel
Upon hearing pounding against a door from the inside of a building, remember where it is because you’ll need it. Return to that building and head up to the second floor to obtain the note.

Artifact 22 – Fences Note
While standing in Bill’s safehouse, investigate the back room and you should obtain the next artifact.

Artifact 23 – Bill’s Map
Bill can’t have felt the need to hide his map, you’ll be able to collect it from a table in Bill’s safehouse.

Artifact 24 – Hunter’s Note
The third article in Bill’s safehouse is located on the second floor.

Artifact 25 – Bombs Note
Upon accessing the church in this The Last of Us chapter, search for a side room within the church. That’s where you’ll uncover the artifact.

Artifact 26 – Boy’s Diary
During your playthrough of Bill’s Town, be aware of a house with a swimming pool in the garden. There will be an artifact for you to collect on the second floor of the house.

Artifact 27 – Note from Frank
When you discover the escape truck during this chapter, search the house for this artifact. You’ll find it on a table.

Artifact 28 – Note from Frank (Again)
Upon giving Bill the note, you should spot the artifact scrunched up beside him.

 

Pittsburgh (Part 1)

Artifact 29 – Tourist Manifest
In the course of the Pittsburgh chapter of The Last of Us Remastered you’ll come across an ambush site. Across the street there will be a garage, which will contain the artifact.

Artifact 30 – Ambush Map
Above the garage by the ambush you’ll be able to collect another The Last of Us Remastered artifact.

Artifact 31 – Lost Hill Note
While you’re at the checkpoint station make sure to investigate the counter, there will be an artifact under it. 

Artifact 32 – Traitor’s Flyer
As you stumble across the book store in the Pittsburgh chapter of The Last of Us Remastered, scan its walls for the next artifact.

Artifact 33 – Applicant Checklist
Go into the book store mentioned in the previous The Last of Us Remastered artifact walkthrough and under the stairs you’ll uncover the applicant checklist for your collection.

 Artifact 34 – Abandon Zone Note
Staying in the book store, search the room at the back of the shop for the next artifact. 

Artifact 35 – Lost Areas Map
When you venture up the stairs in the book store you will be blockaded by a shiv door. Unlock the door and behind it you’ll spot the lost areas map.
