Destiny: Earth, Old Russia and Cosmodrome Gold Loot Chest locations Walkthrough Guide

Bungie's latest release, Destiny includes lots of collectibles in addition to the action packed first person shooting gameplay. Our favorite so far are the gold loot chests as they don’t just unlock an achievement but they also offer instant gratification by providing the hidden rare loot that is contained within. This article aims to help you locate these gold crates and also get special hidden loot along the way. There are five Gold loot chests in each area, and these areas are the Earth, Moon, Mars, Venus and the Tower. Follow our guide and you will be able to find all of the chests in each area:
 

Earth

1. The Steppes to Dock 13: 

Heading from the Steppes towards Dock 13 during “Restoration”, A Level two Missopn, you need to enter the building that leads to Dock 13 and move further through the corridors to the next room. A Gold Chest rests on top of a desk and is probably the easiest chest to find.

2. Forgotten Shore: 

Head to the base of the Forgotten Shore Cliff, which is located just below the Terrestrial Complex, near Skywatch. Walk close to the cliff wall on your left and cross the pale water by jumping from rock to rock. A Gold Chest lies near to the water and you will reach it before running out of rocks to jump from. You can either walk or drive your Sparrow through the lighter colored water.

 

 

3. Forgotten Shore to Mothyards: 

Go to the pathway from the Forgotten Shores which heads toward Mothyards, and follow it as it curves around to the left and then back right. You need to keep an eye out for a small cave about halfway up the wall. Turn to the right side and spot the waterfall in front of a cave. A Gold Chest sits inside.

4. Lunar Complex:

Inside the room where you battle with the Hive Wizard “Gotra” on the moon during The Dark Within mission, jump onto the box and get into the room on the left and search the back side wall to find the chest.

5. Devils Lair:

This Gold Chest can only be found during the Devils' Lair Strike mission. Either during the fight with Sepiks Prime or just after defeating it , search under the right platform imagining that the area around the boss is a giant U shape, and the chest is on the Right.
