Would You Buy A New GameBoy If It Looked Like This?

The GameBoy is the console that really put handheld gaming on the map. It paved the way for Nintendo’s incredibly successful GameBoy Advanced and Nintendo DS, and you could even argue that it got the ball rolling on the device that most of us use for gaming — our smartphones.

But what if Nintendo decided to bring back the original GameBoy with a slick, modern twist? Would people buy it?

Designer Florian Renner took it upon himself to design a modern GameBoy, and it looks quite awesome. It features a big, beautiful screen, more face and shoulder buttons, and looks like something that would be quite enjoyable to game on.
