Explosive Rounds

Bullets detonate on impact

Another very fun Mod, this makes bullets explode on impact, hitting all enemies in the vicinity.

It won’t make you do any more damage against your target unfortunately, but if you’re taking on a group the splash damage done against other enemies in the area can really help clear out the place.

 
Extended Mag

+30 Magazine

Giving a nice big boost to the number of bullets in your weapon’s Magazine, this is a great addition to guns with a smaller magazine to begin with.

 
Field Scout

+100 Magazine, +80 Inventory

Another one that you’ll only find on Legendary tier weapons, this is another really useful Mod that not only gives an enormous boost to the number of bullets held in your magazine, but also throws a load more in your inventory too!

You’ll be shooting for a very long time before you run out of ammo with this Mod installed.

 

Firefly

Precision kills cause a Solar explosion

Killing an enemy with a precision shot (think headshots, or shots on other weak spots) cause the target to explode, doing 50 solar damage to anyone in a fairly big radius.

This is sure to be impressive when pulled off in PvP, but expect to spend most of your time using it against clumped together groups in the main missions.

Once again you’ll only find this Mod on legendary scout and sniper rifles.

 

Fitted Stock

+25 Stability

Appearing on Legendary scout rifles, Fitted Stock will give out an edge at long-range, making your gun a fair bit more steady as you line up your headshots.

 

Flared Magwell

+100 Reload, -10 Stability

Immediately maximising your weapons reload speed, Flared Magwell will turn you into a rapid-fire machine. Don’t be afraid to push forward into groups of enemies with this equipped. Do make sure that you compensate for the slightly reduced stability though, you may find yourself firing a lot more bullets just to get a few to hit!

 

Hip Fire

Increased accuracy when hipfiring

Reduces the range of your bullet spread by 33% when you’re not looking down the sights. This one is particularly useful for those who like to get in close, firing off a few shots as you close in for a finishing melee strike.

 

Full Auto

Converts weapon into full auto fire

Ok so you’ll only see Full Auto on shotguns and pulse rifles, but with the Mod enabled on either of those guns you’re sure to terrify anyone who sees you, as you run in and light up the place, emptying your shotgun magazine in an instant. Just make sure you’re at least sort of on target, as the recoil on this will make you wildly inaccurate.

 

Glass Half Full

Bottom half of magazine does more damage

One of the more interesting Mods, Glass Half Full is fairly self-explanatory, giving you a 6% damage boost when you have less than half of your ammo left.

This can turn the tide of battle when you find yourself in trouble, but just make sure that you’re not wasting your ammo for the sake of it. Running around low on ammo is just asking for trouble.

 

Grenades and Horseshoes (Rocket Launcher only)

Rockets gain a proximity trigger

It can be extremely frustrating when your once chance at a kill with the Rocket Launcher just misses by a couple of inches, that why Grenades and Horseshoes is an extremely satisfying Mod, causing your rockets to detonate when they come within 2 meters of a target.

It’s a very very nice feeling nabbing an enemy who is cowering behind cover with this attached to your weapon.

 

Grenadier

Kills add 10% to grenade energy

Beautifully simple, Grenadier is the Mod to have if you enjoy spamming grenades all over the map, boosting your grenade energy after every kill and getting you another grenade much faster.

 

Outlaw

Extremely fast reload after a precision kill

The ranged answer to the Cascade Mod, you’ll have 150% of your usual reload speed after a precision kill (headshot or other weak area shot).

Outlaw is extremely useful in PvP, where a steady hand can net you near-instant reloads.

 

Hair Trigger

Fires the instant trigger pressure is detected

Instead of having to press the fire button all the way down, with Hair Trigger any small press on the shoot button will fire your gun. We’ve had great fun with this applied to sniper rifles, as it makes getting the perfect headshot much easier to time right.
