Black Desert Online Housing And NPC Worker Guide

Black Desert Online Housing And NPC Worker Guide

With the upcoming North American release of Black Desert Online coming sometime down the road and well into 2015, it’s safe to say that gamers looking to get a leg up on some of the basic content will be looking for guides and walkthroughs whenever and wherever they can. Luckily, a few prescient gamers have already taken it upon themselves to roll out walkthroughs and guides for some of the features in Black Desert Online.

YouTuber KinecticGTR has a 20 minute long video detailing a lot of the basic home economic features in Pearl Abyss’ upcoming MMO.

It doesn’t feel like 20 minutes and he keeps things moving along smoothly and quickly. He covers how to purchase and maintain different houses – and just so you know, different houses can sometimes enable players to make different use of housing functions, such as making a treshing floor for crafting woodworks or building carriages.

Acquiring a house requires spending a contribution point to unlock the property. The higher level the property, the more contribution points required. Check it out below.

One of the things that seem pretty cool is that you can have NPC workers carry out various tasks for you. The more workers you have the more expensive it becomes since you have to buy lodging for them or pay for their living expenses.

A lot of the homemaking and management is operated through the menu screens and main map. You don’t really see the events in action quite like other RTS games, but you do at least get to see your NPCs partially active in the game’s main world.

With the right amount of PvP-leeway and some good player-controlled resource management, Black Desert Online could prove to be a fairly noteworthy emergent MMO title. But the verdict is still out.

With Daum Communications still localizing the title for English speaking gamers, we’ll see how much steam it picks up when it preps to head into beta testing Stateside.
