The Hunger Games Adventures Unofficial Guide by Mongoose General for
The Hunger Games Adventures is a tie-in Facebook Game to celebrate the popularity of the film and novel. It allows you to take on new adventures alongside Katniss, Peeta and Gale beyond the fence of District 12. New quests are being added to this game all the time, we'll be keeping this guide updated with new information, so please bookmark this page and check back. The first screen you will see allows you to customise your character. You can pick a male or female character and choose their clothing and other apparel. This doesn't have a bearing on the gameplay, but of course your friends on Facebook will be able to see you, so make sure it's something you are happy with! All of the quests for the game (at the time of writing), are detailed below. Rather than offering a page for each one, we thought it better to just lump them all together. We suggest you use your browser 'Find' function (maybe CTRL F) to search for the particular quest you are interested in. New quests are being added all the time, so please check back as we will be updating this page often. Build: Below are instructions on where to find many of the resources available in The Hunger Games Adventures. Anything you can't find, you should request from your friends. Note that some items require many clicks and much seaching before you get the Reward: How to Ask Friends for Help:
The game takes a similar form to quite a few Facebook adventure games, with simple point and click gameplay. At the moment the game is still in beta stage. The idea is that as the game is finalized and more people come on board, the entire map of Panem will be unveiled for players. This guide will be updated as quests are added.
The ultimate goal is to escape beyond the fence and to customize your own forest hideout.
Getting Started
Tutorial:
The game begins with a simple tutorial. Katniss informs you that you narrowly evaded some guards by the fence. With that done, pick up the bow and arrow as instructed. Note that you can just mouse-over objects to pick them up - click the log to expose the bow, then mouse-over it to collect.
Then, a vulture mutt will appear. Click on it to engage the enemy. Note how your health drops during this encounter, but it's easy to take it out without too much trouble.
You will then be introduced to your character's Forest Escape. This is a camp that you can upgrade and customise, and is also the palce to catch food. You are instructed to buy a trap and then set it - you will then catch something and can take the food.
At this point, Katniss informs you that she'll meet you back at District 12.
You will then see the list of quests to the left-hand side of the screen. Use these icons to confirm that you want to visit Katniss, who you will find at the Bakery. Follow the other instructions from here on until you are returned to the Forest Escape.
NOTE: You should not try to pre-empt the objectives in this game. For example, At the start of Chapter 1 it is clear that Katniss is asking you to chop wood to build the Shelter. If you purchase the Shelter first, you will have to sell it again and re-buy it to trigger the next objective.
Forest Escape:
Your Forest Escape is centered around the Big Camp Fire. This is replenished with food once every hour, so visit it regularly to get $50 to add to your stash.
You initial Forest Escape is very small. You will notice how the areas around it are locked. The only way to unlock new areas is to collect Mockingjay Pins. You will also need to reach the requisite number of Goods before you are given access to the unlock.
XP:
Every time you perform virtually any action in the game, you are rewarded with XP. This includes chopping wood, collecting rocks, or completing quests, with XP varying depending on the difficulty of the task you have taken on.
Currency:
There are two simple currencies in The Hunger Games Adventures. The primary form of currency is Goods. These are picked up by exploring the game world, from things like the camp fire which regularly replenish with Goods, and by completing quests.
The other form of currency is Facebook Credits. These generally have to be purchased using real money, but are used to buy certain premium items in the game store. Normally these are things which would take a heck of a long time to unlock through normalmeans, but usually it is possible to get them for free.
Energy:
As with most Facebook adventure games, you are restricted to how much you can do by the Energy Meter. This has an initial maximum of 15 Energy, and takes 5 minutes to fill back up just a single point.
Sometimes you will get Energy for completing quests.
Once you have built a Shelter, you can recoup 10 Energy every 8 hours. To do this, simply click on the shelter once the timer has counted down. The amount of Energy required to complete quests increases as you progress through the game.

Some FAQs and Other Pieces of Information
To ask a Friend for an item you are missing, first click on the 'Finish' item button. You will then be given the option to ask friends for it.
How to give items to your Friends:
To be able to help your friends with their Hunger Games adventure, they first need to ask for help. Then, if you click on the 'apps and games' section of Facebook and look at 'Friends' Activity'. You should be able to see their requests there and click on them to grant their wishes!
How to get Flames:
We have listed this above but it's worth mentioning again. When you need Flames, you need to either Ask Friends for it (note that there is a glitch where if you have too much Wood, you can't ask for help - use up your wood building things and it should fix itself), or search the streetlights at the Bakery and Train Station - this may take a while but there are Flames there!
How to expand your Forest Escape:
Although there are numerous locked areas in your Forest Escape, there are only a few that can be unlocked at the moment. To do this, you will need a certain number of Goods, and Mockingjay Pins.
How to get more Mockingjay Pins:
The only way to get more Mockingjay Pins is to complete more of this games quests. Specifically, you should get a Pin from 'Here It's Safe', 'Escape from District 12' and 'Suspension of Disbelief'. More opportunities will become available as the game is expanded.
How to get more Energy:
If you are finding it hard to get more Energy, and your Forest Escape isn't giving you enough, you should try asking friends for Energy. You can do this once a day, and if someone answers your plea, you will be rewarded with full energy. If you visit a friend's Forest Escape, you will also receive 3 Energy every time for being such a sociable gamer!
Glitches and Bugs:
This game is currently at the Beta stage, so it is not finished and is regularly being updated by the developers. If you have quests that cannot be completed, or will not trigger, it is worth raising a support ticket with the game's developers, Funtactix. One possible thing to try, if you are supposed to build something or collect something to trigger a quest but you've already built or collected it already, is to sell or use of the item and then get it again - often this will allow you to advance. Also, make sure you have leveled up enough to be able to advance.
Missing Quest Items:
If you are missing required items for any of the game's quests, and our guide and item locations above have not helped you, it is likely that it is an issue with the game. As mentioned above, this is a Beta, so if you encounter a problem like this (bear in mind that this is a relatively simple game and so if you have searched for ages in the locations above to find something, it is probably the game rather than you that has the issue!) contact Funtactix for help - this is how they will make the game ready for release to everyone as a fully finished product.
Unable to Finish Building:
If you are trying to finish building an item but can't, you should try to move it so that nothing is blocking it or getting in the way of you trying to click the button.
Redeem Codes:
The only known Redeem Code so far is ESCAPEDISTRICT12. This unlocks a fancy Weather Vane for your Forest Escape. Unlike other items, the Weather Vane does not appear in the Store, but will be placed in your Forest Escape somewhere. Click on it and you will be able to move it around. You enter the redeem code at the top of the screen, where you should see a tab saying 'Redeem Code'.
Cheats:
There are no official cheats for The Hunger Games Adventures, except for the Redeem Code listed above. Some people try to 'hack' the game by downloading software - this is not an official cheat and can lead to your computer being compromised and your Facebook account getting banned.
