Top-down shooters are making a comeback, thanks now in part to the developers behind Just Cause 2 with their newest downloadable Renegade Ops. Jump into your all-terrain destruction-mobile and blast your enemies with a wide variety of unlockable weapons as you progress through the main story. Play off or online with your friends in two-player splitscreen or four-player online co-op to multiply the insanity.

Mission 1: Baptism in Fire
When the boat is launched, fire upon the surrounding sea mines nearest to you first as a means of protection and a way to earn points early on. Once you touch down on land and your primary vehicle is deployed, move forward down the road to navigate through the canyon. Your first objective will be to destroy the mortar trucks currently firing upon you.
Use a combination of quick stops and sharp veering maneuvers to stay out of the mortar’s blast zone as you go, represented by the red circles on the ground. Take out the mortar truck in the enemy outpost ahead, then continue down the road by crossing the rope bridge.
Take out the next mortar truck on the corner to level up and receive your next primary objective. You will need to rescue a man being held prisoner in one of the many local villages, so follow your red indicator arrow to locate him.
To free the prisoner and load him onto your vehicle, eliminate all surrounding threats and destroy the container where the man is being held. Once the container has been opened drive over the jail cell icon to rescue the target.
Your vehicle will now be upgraded with turbo speed, so use it to follow the red arrow indicator and drop the prisoner off at the church. After the cut scene, you will receive your secondary objective which is to collect other villagers being detained at different locations around the area.
Whenever you are not dealing with one of the timed primary objectives, try to complete the secondary ones as often as possible by following the grey indicator arrow. For this one, you will need to transport the prisoners you find back to the church while only being able to carry three at a time.
After the cut scene, execute your secondary objective as many times as possible until the next primary one is issued. Once it is, you will need to follow the red arrow indicators to locate and destroy the prisoner transports which appear as large trucks with holding containers loaded onto their trailers.
Use your special attack or defense effectively to eliminate each transport as quickly as possible so that you can move onto the next one. Once all transports have been disabled the objective will be complete. You do not need to actually pick up the prisoners held within these transports to accomplish this.
Continue with the secondary objective until the next primary one is issued, then follow the red indicator arrow to locate the rocket launcher truck. Stay on the move consistently and fire from a distance when assaulting this vehicles to stay ahead of its slow-moving missile attacks. Circling the truck is one effective way to stay out of danger.
Your next primary objective will be to eliminate a pair of mortar trucks before they reach the church. As soon this mission begins, the red circles that represent the mortar fire will begin appearing frequently as you drive so either turn away from them or speed through before they hit to avoid the blast.
The mortar trucks will be defended by a multitude of other enemy vehicles, including ones that launch rockets, so keep at a distance and try to upgrade your machine gun as much as possible before entering into these battles.
Once the mortar trucks are destroyed a cut scene will activate and you will be charged with eliminating a squadron of enemy tanks. Follow the red arrow indicator to each of these tanks, then use your special attack and circling tactic effectively to destroy them while taking as little damage as possible. Measure the length of time between each of the tank’s cannon fire, so that when the shot is ready to come you can change your current direction and boost out of harm’s way.
Eliminate the enemy tanks before the church’s life bar is drained to activate the cut scene. Afterwards, drive to the church and break open the crate, then move into the helicopter within to take to the skies.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Airborne (10 points): Pilot a helicopter in single player.
Follow the red indicator to reach the open sea and eliminate the enemy boats that come towards you. Look for a tall rock pillar with a single vine-covered tree on it by the beach to locate an extra life.
Approach the enormous tanker ship and keep at a distance to eliminate the heat-seeking rocket turrets first. If you find yourself suddenly surrounded by rockets, boost away from the battle and use your special flare weapon to destroy them.
Once the rocket turrets have been eliminated, focus your firepower on the missile silos by shooting through the openings of the enclosures in which they are located. Once all the missile silos have been destroyed you’ll have to face off against Inferno who has taken control of a large machine gun turret on top of the ship.
Attack the turret continuously to drain Inferno’s health and move in a circle motion to stay ahead or behind his rotating machine gun fire. When the machine gun is not firing, stay behind the turret at all times in case it does suddenly star up again. Make effective use of your flares when rockets are fired and eliminate the enemy helicopters that appear in between your assault on the turret.
Drain Inferno’s health completely to destroy the turret and complete the mission.
Mission 2: Moths to the Flame
When the mission begins, your first primary objective will be to rescue Natasha. Drive along the road until you reach the red flags that signify the first area populated by enemies.
Eliminate the first enemy vehicles you encounter and approach the gate ahead, then take out the guard towers and fire on the actual gate to open it. You will never need to destroy the guard towers to get past the gate, but it’s advisable to do so since they reward you with a high amount of points each time.
Focus on the larger attack vehicle first when you enter the next area, but take a moment to destroy the gas pumps that will clear out the enemies on foot. Continue forward and eliminate the rocket launcher below you, then move through the next two gates along the road ahead.
After passing through the second gate, use the rock formation in the middle of the area to circle and evade the rocket launcher vehicle as you destroy it. Continue towards the red arrow indicator, then cross over the road in an up and down motion to eliminate the rocket launcher vehicle and the guard towers.
Move through the gate and continue along the road, then eliminate the rocket launcher vehicles by swerving between the main road and the adjacent road above as an evasion tactic. Continue following the red indicator arrow forward and move through the gate ahead, then break open the container to rescue Natasha.
Use your special attack to defeat the next tank ahead, then cross the bridge and fight your way through the next area populated with a high number of enemies. Jump the ramp at the end of the area to reach the village below, then follow the road that ends at the beach to activate the cut scene.
After the cut scene, follow the red arrow indicator along the beach to find the next road ahead and enter the enemy base, then circle the perimeter continuously to destroy the fuel supplies and any enemies in the vicinity, starting with the larger convoys.
Follow the red arrow indicator across the sandy pathway and into the next enemy area, then eliminate the rocket launcher vehicle to continue forward safely. Move along the road, fighting through a number of areas populated by enemies, and eliminate the tank with your special weaponry to pick up the keycard from its remains.
Your next primary objective is to destroy the storage facility, so cross the bridge ahead and continue following the red arrow indicator. Use the ramp to reach the base below and take out the marked red canisters in the area. Use the left side of the large hanger at the top of this facility as a point of cover when making your assault.
After the red canisters are destroyed, you will be issued a secondary objective that requires you to eliminate Inferno’s sergeants. The primary objective will soon be for you to take out the mortar trucks that will occasionally launch attacks in your path as you drive through the jungle. Since the primary objective is not timed, you can complete the secondary one first to earn the trophy.
Follow the grey arrow indicator to each of the locations and eliminate the marked vehicles to kill Inferno’s sergeants. As you do this, evade the mortar truck attacks by keeping watch for the circular icons that warn you of incoming fire and staying on the move constantly during your assault.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: A Mess of Stiff Staff Sergeants (15 points): Kill Inferno’s Sergeants in single player.
Destroy any of the remaining mortar trucks that you didn’t encounter during the secondary objective. Your new primary objective will be to retrieve the next key card, which you can find by following the red arrow indicator to current location of the helicopter.
Stay behind the helicopter as you fire upon it and collect the key from the wreckage after it’s destroyed. You will now be charged with rescuing one of the local villages from enemies packing flamethrowers.
Follow the red arrow indicator to fight through various enemy bases en route to the village, then attack the larger convoys from a distance to avoid the enemies on foot with flamethrowers. If your vehicle catches fire at any point, use turbo to quickly get away from the situation and attack the enemies from even further away than before.
After the village is saved, you’ll need to pick up a key card by destroying another tank. Follow the red arrow indicator and collect the extra life that’s between the two buildings just before the ramp ahead.
Use the ramp to reach the tank in the base below and destroy it, then pick up the key card and follow the red arrow indicator to the missile area. After the cut scene, move through the gate that opened and fight your way towards the first fuel tank.
When you reach the armed gate, destroy the two rocket launchers on the wall before attacking the structure itself. After it’s cleared away, drive onto the raised platform by using the series of ramps and destroy the fuel tank at the top. To move onto these raised areas safely, you should first destroy the larger convoys and rocket launcher turrets.
Return to ground level and follow the red arrow indicator to repeat this action until all of the fuel tanks are destroyed. After the cut scene, follow the arrow to the base built into the rock formation and enter through the open door.
Tap the indicated button repeatedly to win the battle within and gain control of the missile transport truck. While this vehicle cannot fire any weaponry, it’s overall toughness will allow you to simply drive right over enemies that stand in your way.
Follow the red indicator arrow down the road in as straight a line as possible so that you are not slowed long enough to take much damage and avoid any obstacles that surround you. Reach the plane on the beach before time expires to complete this mission.
Mission 3: Baptism in Fire
After your vehicle is deployed, follow the red arrow indicator to locate the tanks in the area and destroy them. Try to draw the tanks into the most open ground possible so that you can perform your circling evasion maneuver on them.
Your next primary objective will be to destroy the tank bases, so follow the red arrow to locate them as well. Once you reach these areas, destroy any of the minor threats first, such as smaller vehicles and guard towers, then approach the base itself and use your special attack to eliminate the tank that comes out of it.
Once the tank is destroyed, enter the base and tap the indicated button repeatedly until the battle inside is won, then follow the red arrow indicator to repeat this process elsewhere and complete the objective.
After the cut scene, drive as quickly as possible out of the base area, by using the series of ramps, to head back towards the open road. When Inferno arrives, use your special attack to help weaken him and continue driving towards an exiting point. As you are fleeing from Inferno, swerve constantly to avoid the mortar and machine gun attacks, while firing back at him from the rear of your vehicle as well.
Once you reach the open road, speed ahead of Inferno to lose him and find another enemy base to attack so that you can recharge your health and special attack. Once your life and attack are full, return to Inferno’s position and eliminate him.
After the cut scene, follow the grey indicator arrows to locate the various relics scattered through the level. Once you find these artifacts, break open the box and drive over them to complete the collection process. You can finish this task while you are also completing the primary objective that you are charged with next.
Achievement / Trophies Unlocked: Jonesing for Relics (15 points): Return all the Relics to the Museum in single player.
Follow the red indicator arrows through the various bases to eliminate rocky launching SAMs. These areas will be so heavily guarded that you should save up your special attack before attempting to assault each one.
After all the SAMs are destroyed and the cut scene is over, you’ll need to do battle with Inferno again using the same tactic as you did before. Try to equip either the rail gun or rocket launcher as your secondary weapon ahead of time to further ensure your success.
Once Inferno is defeated, follow the red arrow indicator to the location where the prisoner is being held. After you hit the first incline that leads to the metallic elevated platform, drive behind the left building near the edge below you to pick up an extra life.
Enter the base on the top platform and press the indicated button repeatedly to win the battle within, then move down the bridge and across the aircraft carrier to reach the next section of road below. Use your turbo to get through the ruins populated with enemies as quickly as possible so that you can reach the transport truck before it can be protected by the heavier artillery.
Destroy the transport truck and pick up the prisoner, then use your special attack to weaken Inferno as soon as he arrives on the scene. If the transport reaches its final destination before you can reach it, eliminate the tanks in the area before taking out the truck so you don’t have to deal with them during your battle with Inferno.
Completely drain Inferno’s health to destroy his airship and complete the mission.
Mission 4: Fire Hazard
When your vehicle is deployed follow the red arrow indicator down the road to reach the rendezvous point and activate the cut scene. Afterwards, your primary objective will be to rescue the local village.
Follow the red arrow indicator to merge onto the highway road, then take out each cluster of enemies you encounter along the way to keep the town out of danger. Whenever you encounter a new grouping of enemies, take the time to stop and eliminate all the threats before moving on so that they cannot accumulate into a larger force later.
Continue following the arrow indicator to each small squadron of enemies to eliminate them all and complete the primary objective. You will now receive a secondary objective in which you must arm the indicated groups of civilians.
To arm the civilians. follow the gray arrow indicators to a set of three crates and break them open, then collect the weapons within and follow the next indicator to an area marked with a white circle icon. You will only be able to carry three weapons at a time, which is what you will need to supply each area of civilians.
Each of these areas will usually be guarded by a squadron of smaller enemy vehicles, a guard tower and a helicopter so fill your health and secondary weaponry as much as possible before each run. Keep the turbo boost going as you complete this task so that you can make it through your second run before the primary objective appears.
Once it does, complete the objectives along the red arrow indicator first since they are timed and spread out at far distances across the level, but try to grab the weapons crates when you can to continue arming the civilians.
Your next primary objective will be to disable a series of radar stations, so follow the red arrow indicator to a raised base platform and take out the tanks and rocket launchers you encounter with a special attack. Once the areas are clear, enter the marked bases and tap the indicated button repeatedly to win the battles within.
Once the objective’s countdown begins, consistently use your turbo to get around and pass enemies that are not in the vicinity of the base, then make your number one priority entering the base before eliminating the threats around it.
Once all of the radio stations are destroyed, continue picking up the weapons and move on to your primary objective by eliminating the APCs in the the town where you can arm the civilians.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: From Cold Dead Hands (Bronze): Steal all Inferno’s Weapon Crates in single player.
Your next primary objective will be to rescue Natasha so follow the the red indicator arrow to her location. To save time on the extended journey, bypass any enemies you encounter that can be outrun and fire from the rear of your vehicle at enemies that follow you, such as helicopters.
Take out the marked truck from a distance to avoid the flamethrower and activate the cut scene. Afterwards, your next primary objective will be to destroy the enormous vehicles known as juggernauts.
Follow the red indicator arrow to the juggernauts locations, then immediately use a combination of special and secondary weaponry to weaken the many turrets on top. Once all turrets are destroyed, take out the enemies that are deployed on foot, but focus the majority of your firepower on the middle section of the large vehicle itself.
Use a special attack to finish off the juggernaut, then move on to the next one and repeat the assault to activate the cut scene. Afterwards, your primary objective will be to reach and destroy the train before the time limit expires so use your turbo to drive towards the direction of the red indicator arrow.
Ignore any enemies you encounter during the journey and follow the train tracks in the direction of the arrow as soon as you come across them. When you encounter the train, start at the rear car and take out the turret located closest to the area marked for destruction.
Use your secondary weapons effectively to destroy each piece of cargo and move on to the next objective, then pick up the sample alongside the train and follow the red indicator arrow to reach the drop-off point.
Drive ahead of the limo to protect to it from oncoming threats and save your special or secondary weapons for the larger enemies such as tanks. Clear a safe for the limo to reach the plane and the mission will be complete.
Mission 5: Burning Bridges
Once your vehicle is deployed, follow the red indicator arrow to the base across the bridge and destroy the gate to enter the compound. Continue towards the arrow and use your special weapon to clear out the tank ahead.
Continue moving through the village, spending time to eliminate only the enemies that are in your path, and hit the turbo when you return to the open road. Break open the next gate ahead and use your special or secondary weaponry to take out the two flamethrower convoys.
Ignore the enemies in your way, except for the tank and flamethrower vehicle, and continue towards the red arrow indicator into the next village. Take out the two rocket launchers in front of the next gate before moving through it, then use your special weapon to eliminate the tank and return to the open road.
Use your turbo to effectively stay ahead of the helicopters and mortar fire, while following the red indicator arrow to Bryant’s location. When you reach the next gate, use your secondary weaponry to eliminate the flame throwers and rocket launchers, then execute a special attack to destroy any helicopters that catch up to you.
Destroy the transport truck in the corner and open up the holding container to free Bryant, then move through the gate towards the president’s location. After passing through the next gate within the canyon, use the side road that branches out towards the left side of the screen to pick up an extra life.
Use a combination of special and secondary weapons to quickly get through the tanks, missile launchers and flamethrower vehicles on the way to the president. You can also you evasive driving through the various twists and turns of the city to outrun the slower threats in the area.
Break through the gate at the edge of the city to return to the highway, then follow the red indicator arrow along the train tracks to locate and break open the holding container. After the cut scene, use your turbo to speed in opposite direction along the train tracks.
Keep the turbo button held down to clear any ramps you see ahead, but release the button when you need to veer onto narrow sections of the bridge that are left standing. Reach the final ramp section at the end of the bridge before the time limit expires to complete the mission.
Mission 6: The Cauldron
Follow the red arrow indicator by driving along the road to find the two flame thrower trucks. Use your special weaponry to quickly eliminate the trucks and minimal amount of enemies surrounding them so that you can move on to the next primary objective.
Enter the next control station ahead and tap the indicated button repeatedly to man the crane, then cross the bridge you’ve created to acquire a secondary objective as well as a new primary one.
To complete the secondary objective, follow the gray arrow indicator to the various mining tracks and eliminate the carts that are moving alone the rails. You should use your machine gun and secondary weapons to destroy the objectives and save your special attacks for the surrounding threats of those areas, such as the tanks.
You’ll encounter the primary objective of destroying the flamethrower truck during the hunt for mine carts so take care of that as you go along. The next primary objective of moving the crane will also be key to reaching the secondary tasks so enter the marked control room and tap the indicated button repeatedly to get this done.
After crossing the bridge, destroy the mine cart ahead and follow the gray indicator arrow along the tracks above to reach the next one. Return to the previous area to use your special attacks and secondary weaponry in quickly eliminating the first pair of smelters, then continue ahead to take out another mine cart and smelting vehicle. Unless your special attacks require extended close-range contact to an enemy, stay as far away from the smelters as possible since their weaponry ors in a wide circumference.
Enter the next control room ahead and tap the indicated button repeatedly to use the crane as a bridging device, then cross over to the next area. Follow the gray indicator arrow to the next mine cart and destroy it, then eliminate the flamethrowers from afar and take out another cart above.
Follow the arrows uphill and break through the next gate, then fight your way to the next mine cart and destroy it. Follow the red arrow indicator to travel deeper into the mine and receive your next primary objective.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Supply Problems (15 points): Destroy all Mining Carts in the Kaabe Mountains in single player.
Follow the mining tracks to acquire an extra life and activate the cut scene. Afterwards, move down in the direction of the red arrow indicator and break through the gate ahead, then drive across the platform and blow up the fuel tanks to destroy the mining building.
After the cut scene, drive through the hole you’ve created and follow the road around to jump a ramp. Continue towards the red arrow indicator to locate the juggernauts, then use your special and secondary weapons to destroy them.
Eliminate both juggernauts to activate the cut scene. Afterwards, drive downwards and follow the red arrow indicator, then break open the crate in the area you arrive at first with two guard towers to enter the helicopter.
Fly towards the red arrow indicator to locate the train by following the tracks, then eliminate each of the transport’s defenses by starting from the rear car. Take out the flamethrower first, then move on to the machine gun and use your flare defense against the rocket launcher after that.
Ignoring the other surrounding enemies, destroy the pair of smelting containers and the machine guns ahead of those. Continue moving up along the train to destroy more of the containers, then use your flair defense in defeating the rocket launcher after that.
Take out the machine turrets near the train’s engine to destroy the rest of the transport and complete the mission.
Mission 7: To Catch Fire
Follow the red arrow indicator to get ahead of the massive tank and begin clearing out the more dangerous enemies in its path. Save your special weapon for the more dire threats such as tanks, rocket launchers and flamethrowers.
Use your machine gun and secondary weapons to take out everything else as quickly as possible. Don’t worry about leaving a few stragglers as your teammates in the tank will dispose of them with cannon fire.
Once you have cleared the way through the initial village area, the cut scene will activate. Afterwards, follow the red arrow indicator to launch off a ramp and land in the next enemy base below.
Fight your way out of the base and use the connecting road to reach the next one. Use your special and secondary weaponry to destroy the air craft and activate the cut scene. Afterwards, follow the red arrow indicator out of the base to locate and pick up the key card.
Follow the road down into the next base and take out the flamethrower truck from afar to allow your tank safe passage. You will now be charged with of the secondary objective of following the tank through the areas populated with enemies ahead.
By trying to complete the secondary task you will need to ignore your primary objective of destroying the mortar trucks for a period of time. As a result, be on the lookout for the continual presence of the red circle indicators which mark oncoming mortar fire and either swerve around or boost past them.
When the red arrow indicators suddenly point straight out to the right, turbo across the fields and take out the two mortar trucks with special and secondary weapons. Return to the tank afterwards to receive another primary objective that also requires you to eliminate mortar trucks.
As was the case before, track down the mortar trucks when the red indicator arrow points off road and destroy them both. Return to tailing the tank and repeat another round of taking out mortar trucks in the same manner as before. Use the winding road to find the first truck at the top of the hill, then use the ramp on the winding road to reach the field where the second truck is positioned.
Take out the third mortar truck to activate the cut scene. Afterwards, follow the red arrow indicator to the elevated base and destroy the airship with your secondary and special weapons, then retrieve the key card from the wreckage.
Follow the red arrow indicator to the bridge so that it lowers for you and the massive tank, then cross over to the other side and move ahead up the road to clear a safe path. Take out the tank and mortar truck when you reach the platform at the end of the road, then enter the marked building and tap the indicated button repeatedly to win the battle within.
After the cut scene, move through the path being cut into the forest, then drive up the road ahead of the tank to eliminate the helicopters and mortar trucks. Enter the marked building and tap the indicated button repeatedly to win the battle within, then continue up the road to take out another mortar truck and helicopter.
Disable the turreted wall ahead to drop it down, then enter the building ahead to blow it up and continue uphill towards the red arrow indicator. Destroy the convoys, tanks and helicopters you encounter, then enter and destroy the next marked building to activate the cut scene.
Afterwards, use turbo and the red arrow indicator to catch back up with the tank, then follow it through the forests to activate another cut scene. You will now be charged with eliminating the juggernauts so use the red arrow indicator in destroying both of them with your secondary and special weaponry to complete the mission.
Mission 8: From the Ashes
Follow the red arrow indicator and use turbo to reach the long covered bridge and complete the primary objective. Your new objective will be to catch up with Inferno as quickly as possible.
Use your turbo button while traveling down the roads and try to avoid crashing through any buildings to save time by taking your turns while letting off the accelerator. You can also ignore any enemies that aren’t packing anything heavier than a machine gun to make the chase more efficient.
Upon entering the first area populated by enemies, you will receive your secondary objective which is to locate and collect intel through the level. Follow the grey indicator arrows towards each of these items and break open the crates you find to collect them.
Break through the next gate and move quickly through the bases, stopping only to eliminate rocket launcher turrets or tanks and pick up intel. When you reach the carrier, drive up at even pace alongside it and take out the turrets one by one to complete the primary objective.
Continue following the red arrow indicator through the village ahead and break through another gate to catch up with Inferno. Pick up all intel in the immediate area before crossing the next bridge, then drive quickly through the village ahead to cross another bridge.
Use your special weaponry to destroy the smelter and continue in the direction of the red arrow. Drive off the edge beside the next small bridge, instead of crossing it, to reach the road along the shore below.
Follow the red arrow indicator back onto the main road and through the village to complete the primary objective, then continue towards the indicator to locate Inferno’s carrier. Destroy the rocket launcher turrets as you did before and move the road to take out a tank with your special weapon, then take out a helicopter and another tank as you reach the next village.
Cross the bridge and move through the village, then break through the gate ahead and eliminate the tank within the base. Continue towards the red arrow indicator and destroy the helicopter before you cross the next bridge, then pick up the extra life to the right of the two guard towers ahead.
Drive up the elevated areas of the base ahead, destroying the rocket launcher, tank and helicopter, then cross the next bridge and pick up your last piece of intel before returning to the main road by the guard towers.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: Inferno’s Briefs (15 points): Steal all the Document Briefs in single player.
Follow the red arrow indicator through the waves of enemies on foot to reach the carrier, then move up and down the ship to take out the SAMs with your special and secondary weapons. Approach each of these targets carefully to avoid skidding off the edge and into the water.
Destroy all three SAMs to activate the cut scene. Afterwards follow the red arrow indicator across the deck to enter the bowels of the ship, then tap the indicated button repeatedly to complete the mission.
Mission 9:The Furnace
Drive forward towards the red arrow indicator, evading the flamethrower and machine gun turrets, then break through the gate ahead keep alongside the left wall. Destroy the turrets in the area and break through the next gate, then follow the road around in a u-turn and take out more turrets above.
Stay alongside the left wall and enter the control room to extend the bridge, then cross over it and break through the fence ahead to drop onto the level below. Head towards the red arrow indicator and defeat the tank with your special weapon to pick up the key card, then move through the next doorway above and turbo over the ramp to the right before the smelting cauldrons hit you.
Follow the red arrow indicator, destroying the flamethrower truck as you go, and eliminate the next tank with your special weapon to pick up the key card. Move through the doorway to your right to activate the cut scene.
Afterwards, follow the red arrow indicator down to the level below and use your special weapon to eliminate the tank and pick up the key card. Move left onto the level above and enter the control room to extend the bridge.
Cross the bridge and move right through the next doorway, then drop down to the level below and eliminate the tank to pick up another key card. Return to the level above and move through the next doorway, then enter the control room to extend the bridge and follow the arrow indicator to locate it.
Drive across the bridge and evade the machine gun turret, then drop down to the level below and eliminate the tank to pick up a key card. Take out the flamethrower truck and follow the red arrow indicator to the level above, then pass through the doorway and move behind a pair of smelter cauldrons as they pass to get through the hall safely.
Follow the red arrow indicator through the next hallway beside you and approach the alternating ramps. Park your vehicle a few feet on one side of the hall and wait for a ramp to rise in front of you, then hit the turbo to drive up the ramp and clear the lava.
Repeat the previous maneuver two more times, then move upwards through the hallway with smelting cauldrons and weave through the gaps to reach the other side safely. Keep your guns going at all time during this obstacle to destroy any cauldrons ahead of you in advance.
Move through the hallway to the right and wait for a pair of cauldrons with a gap to pass above you, then drive through it and take the hall on the left. Weave through the cauldron gaps or destroy them altogether in the next corridor above, then make the next right.
Turbo through to the next doorway ahead, before the cauldrons can hit you, then drop down to the level below and eliminate the flamethrower cauldrons in the area. Destroy the tank with your special weapon and pick up the key card, then follow the red arrow indicator through the next doorway and take out the flamethrowers ahead.
Follow the red arrow indicator along the road to reach the metal platform by the area thick with red fog, then drop to the level below and use your special weapon to destroy the juggernaut. Follow the indicator to the upper levels and evade the turrets that emerge from the floor until you reach the next tank.
Destroy the tank with your special weapon and pick up the keycard, then pass through the doorway above and stop just after the first flamethrower embedded in the wall. When the flamethrower behind you goes off, turbo forward before the other activate to reach the other side and activate the cut scene.
Afterwards, begin circling the outer permitter of the area continuously, while eliminating the enemies that appear on the scene and collecting health, to survive the elevator ride. Take out all of the enemies that invade the platform before time expires to activate the cut scene.
Afterwards, take out the first wave of helicopters that appear first, then stay on the opposite end of the platform as you fire Inferno with your machine gun and secondary weapons. Turbo away from him when he approaches with flamethrowers and wait for his missile attacks to spread apart before driving between the gaps.
During the short lulls in between Inferno’s attacks, use your special weaponry to cause maximum damage, then eliminate another wave of helicopters. Continue moving in a circular pattern away from Inferno, without stopping to stay ahead of the mortar fire, then repeat the previous assault strategy.
Continue attacking Inferno until his health is completely drained to defeat him and complete the game.
Achievement / Trophy Unlocked: To Hell and Back (10 points): Complete Mission 9 on any Difficulty in single player.
