Pocket Village is a city building simulation games that allows you to build your own cozy little town from scratch. From there, you can build houses, inviting more ‘Pocketeers’ so that your population and workforce can increase, as well as gather mineral and other resources for building and trade. There are many ways by which you can design your city, and proper management of your people and resources are integral so that you can build your very own Pocket Village in the best way possible.
Gameplay
Pocket Village requires good management of the workforce, as well as time and available resources. Players must be able to prioritize actions, such as when to save on resources or when to sell them off, as well as when delegating tasks to workers based on time and need. Players can build structures that will help them further improve on their land, and they must continually gather resources and aim towards expansion so that they will be able to earn more coins and enhance the village.
Currency
Like most building games of its kind, Pocket Village has two types of currencies. Coins are used to purchase structures and expand your land. However, Pocket Village is different from other games as it does not allow you to earn coins through collecting rent from homes or profit from shops. Rather, coins can be earned by selling unused or excess resources to the trader.
Diamonds, on the other hand, are the premium currency in the game, and can be used to speed up tasks if you want them completed in a hurry. They can also be used to purchase premium items so that you can get more out of the game. Players will earn one diamond each time they level up. Both diamonds and coins can be purchased using real life currency, with amounts increasing depending on the actual money spent.
Experience
Almost all actions performed within Pocket Village will allow players to earn experience points, which would in turn cause players to level up. Leveling up will unlock certain buildings and other items so that they can now be used to further enhance the player’s gaming experience. Thus, the more the player plays the game, the more items would be unlocked and made accessible to them.
Resources
Resources are required in almost all aspects of the game. These are needed when constructing buildings and crafting tools. These can be gathered from debris that are scattered all throughout the land, and you can delegate Pocketeers to collect these for you. Some resources are renewable, so you can collect from them an infinite number of times, while some items would have to be crafted or refined from buildings. Excess resources can also be sold at the trader.
Buildings
There are several types of buildings that can be constructed. These include buildings which would increase the number of Pocketeers living in your village, as well as buildings for refining and crafting, among others. Decors can also be purchased to give your village a more refined look. Each building has certain requirements which may range from coins to other types of resources or tools. Building would also require Pocketeers to work on them, and will take some time to complete. Alternately, you can spend diamonds to speed up the building process.
In addition, Pocket Village restricts the number of certain types of buildings that can be built. This will be shown next to the building where in the cap as well as the current number of buildings that you have is displayed.
Capacity
While players can store many items in their inventory, there will come a time where your storage would become insufficient. One option is to sell off unused items, but if you want to keep them at least for a little while longer, you would have to spend coins to upgrade your warehouse and toolbox. This way, you will have more slots to store more items so that they can be sold off or used when needed.
Crafting and Refining
Sometimes, items need to be processed in order to turn them into a different kind of resource or tool. To do this, you must have the proper building constructed within your village. Thus, it would be wise to look at your resource requirements and complete the required building so that you will be able to meet your needs. Crafting and refining would take time, and you would have to delegate Pocketeers to complete the task.
Trader
As mentioned, selling items is the only way to earn coins within Pocket Village. With this, players may access the trader section, where they will be able to see what they trader wants to buy. Each slot has different requirements, and it will also show how many resources of a particular order you have. You cannot sell items that do not complete the order or are otherwise not available within the slots.
To this sense, players can delete slots for orders that they do not want to fulfill, and this will be populated by a new order after a specific cool down period. Selling to the trader is a great way to get rid of unused resources as well as earn both coins and experience.
Expansions
At latter levels, you will find that you will no longer have available space to place more buildings in your village With this, players will have to expand the area so that they would be able to construct more buildings to increase their population as well as craft and refine more resources and tools. Players can expand their village by clicking on the grayed out locations outside of the playable area. Each area requires different resources so that they may be unlocked, so make sure that you have the adequate resources or have the buildings to create said items. Once the area has been unlocked, it will provide you with new resources to harvest so that you can better work towards improving your land and earning more coins.
