Zombie Highway 2 Walkthrough [Guide]

There’s nothing more relaxing than driving down the open road with a couple of your friends. However, having the occasional zombie jumping at and clinging to your vehicle, and trying to eat your brains can dampen the mood pretty quickly. Zombie Highway 2 is the sequel to the popular endless running zombie game, and players can expect the same exciting experience and more. It’s not a matter of whether you’ll survive or not, but rather how long you’ll survive – and how many of the undead you can take with you.

Gameplay
Zombie Highway 2 is an endless driving and shooting game where players must drive for as long as possible while avoiding getting overturned by zombies or hitting roadblocks which would end your run. There are various vehicles and weapons that can be used, and there’s also a nitro boost feature which was not available in the previous game. New content such as expert modes as well as new cars and weaponry will be made available as objectives are cleared and new rankings are reached.

Currency
Cash and gold are the two currencies at play within Zombie Highway 2. Cash is the basic currency, and this can be earned by killing zombies. There’s also the rested cash feature within the game which regenerates over time and allows you to earn double the cash. Lastly, turning off assist settings as well as playing under expert mode will earn you extra cash in the process. Cash can be used to purchase and upgrade weapons as well as upgrades for your car.

Gold, on the other hand, is earned by discovering new zombies, by watching promotional videos, leveling up, or by exchanging real money for them. Gold can be used to unlock weapons and vehicles early, as well as to rewind the game to a few seconds prior to death. This last feature is also available whenever players choose to watch promotional videos as well.

Vehicles
Players can choose different vehicles, with each having different stats. Vehicles also have different nitro capacity, which can be increased by paying cash. Nitro provides players with speed boosts which will help increase the damage that you can deal zombies if you scrape them against debris such as cars or against walls. Nitro replenishes to its maximum capacity at the beginning of each round. New vehicles will be unlocked and automatically equipped once players increase in rank.

Weapons
New weapons will also be made available as players increase in rank. They can be purchased, once unlocked, using cash, or you can buy them instantly using gold. Weapons may also be upgraded so that stats such as firepower, ammo count, and reload time can be improved. There’s a limit as to how many times a certain weapon can be upgraded.

Once weapons have been purchased, players can swap and carry up to three weapons for each round. Reloading can either be automated or manual, and players can switch between weapons manually. Choosing the right weapons for the right situation will play a big part towards surviving runs for longer. Ammunition automatically refills at the beginning of each stage.

Zombies
There are different types of zombies that will be encountered during your drive. They can be dispatched either by scraping them against walls or cars, or by shooting at them using your weapons. However, zombies differ in durability as well as strength, the latter of which will define how quickly they will be able to overturn your vehicle.

A good strategy when dealing with powerful and numerous zombies would be to scrape them and then shoot at them while they are stunned so as to deal more damage, as well as to hug walls so that you would not get overturned easily. However, the first strategy might quickly deplete your ammo while the latter will reduce your speed, making you deal less damage.

Objectives
Players are given at most three objectives to complete, and these can either be completed cumulatively across runs or within a certain stage. Examples of these include killing a certain amount of zombies in a single run and traveling a certain cumulative distance. Once enough objectives have been completed, your rank will increase, and this will unlock new content within the game such as the expert mode as well as new weapons and vehicles.

With this, players should make it a point to complete any and all objectives so that they can make the most out of the game. Sometimes, this would also mean ending the run prematurely or deviating from your usual game style just so you would be able to accomplish these objectives.

Settings
Players can customize their gaming experience as there’s a settings function available. Settings include changing views as well as assist toggles so that players will have an easier time shooting or steering. Steering controls and sensitivity can also be changed in order to suit the player’s preferences. Take note, however, that changing certain settings will affect difficulty bonuses, so remember to weigh this option especially if you want to earn cash fast.
