Magecraft: The War Walkthrough [Guide]

The land of Argento is in ruins following the King being ousted from power. Now, it’s up to you and your skills in building your town, making deals with your neighbors and, in some cases, starting wars against opposing factions so that you can save your home in this land of sorcery, magic, and mystery. With that, we’ll be supplying you with tips and tricks on how you can turn your land from a simple town into a magnificent empire.

Manage Your Resources
Food, lumber, iron, and stone are the main building blocks of your kingdom. These are used for anywhere from building and upgrading structures within your land to training and feeding your troops. During the initial stages of the game, concentrate your efforts towards constructing buildings that can generate resources for you. Also, once you have troops within your kingdom, keep an eye out on the upkeep so that they would be kept fed. Later on in the game, you can create more civil buildings as well as do some research to further increase your production rate.

Strengthen Your Troops
Different types of troops may be trained in your kingdom, for as long as you have the right buildings required. Different units have different attributes and strengths, and each play a distinct function. Also, troops can either defend or attack others, so make sure that you always leave troops behind so that they can help you should other players target your base. Deploying the right kind of troops in an enemy territory is very important, which is why sending scouts to gather information about the area that you want to invade is a must. There’s also a crypt where in you can store any units that you don’t want to risk losing. Take note, however, that troops stored in the crypt cannot help out if you get attacked.

Make it a point also to hire Marshalls. Marshalls are much more powerful than regular grunts that you would train, and having them earn experience and level up is also a requirement to make them more formidable in battle.

Join an Alliance
Magecraft: The War is more fun when played with others, which is why it is recommended that you join or create an Alliance. Having an Alliance is advantageous as members can help fend off attackers. There are also other functions available such as the Alliance store which makes available various precious items, as well as features that will allow you to attack other alliances as well as defend your own.

Keep Your Craftsmen Busy
Like most building simulation games, time is of the essence in Magecraft: The War. For this reason, make sure that your craftsman is never idle so that they would still be doing something even if you are away from the game, whether it be building or training. Should you wish to do more than one task at a time, then buying Craftsmen using crystals is recommended. This is actually one of the few times when using premium currency is recommended. If you will be leaving the game for a prolonged period of time, set your Craftsmen to do tasks, and take the time simultaneously train units while you’re at it so that you’ll come back to the game with a lot of progress completed.

Focus on Offense and Defense
Battling in Magecraft: The War focuses on statistics, which is why it would help that you have a strong collection of troops whenever you deploy them to attack others. Maximize troop deployment and have your strongest team whenever you can. Similarly, make sure also that you have high defensive statistics by having lots of troops remaining in your base as well. In addition, upgrade your Outpost whenever you can, and have Phantasms, Assassins, and other similar unit types in the castle so that you would not be spied upon.

If you are not confident about your defensive capabilities, then buy Non-Agression Pacts. Non-Aggression Pacts serve as shields that will prevent others from attacking you. However, this also prevents you from attacking or spying other territories as well.
