Find a Way into the Dig
When you regain control, move forward and up to your left. This will lead you through the cemetary, and around the two guards on the path ahead. Here you can follow the indicators on your screen to take out the Commander in the watch tower, then move down into the main area and take out the second Commander in the command center just before you get to the tower. Once these pesty officers are dead, pull out your best weapon and take down the rest if you so please. Otherwise, locate the slope leading up to a small cave entrance. Power down the electric door, and move through it to enter the next section of the chapter.
Find Helga
Continue down the stairs and into the tunnel beyond. Take the guard out in front of you, then head into the mine shaft, taking a right at the blocked path. Here you’ll find more minecart tracks, guards, and a Supersoldier. Take all these foes down, then head down the tunnel to an elevator.
Use the elevator to go down into the mine, taking out the Supersoldier that you meet at the bottom. There is a Commander here, so take him out as quick as possible to reduce the amount of reinforcements he calls. Once the section is clear, head all the way to the far end, following the tracks to the left down the tunnel. Spot the power switch below the door, and use it before heading into the next area.
Take down the guards in this room, then head down the steps to your right. This will lead to another tunnel. There’s really only one direction you can go, so keep pressing forward until you reach a small crawl-space you can interact with, then press the USE button to climb through it. Kill the zombies here, then press forward up the stairs to a small staircase. Ahead you’ll find a room with Nazis and zombies. Kill them, then move across the boards and up the steps on your right. Follow the next corridor to a spiraling staircase, which will lead to a long drop into a pool of water.
Drop down, don’t worry it’s safe, and then swim to the nearby ladder. Climb up it, and follow the newfound corridor to another crawl-space that you can interact with. Use it to move into a large circular room, and interact with the button just in front of you. This will open a set of large gates on the opposite side of the room. The catch, however, is that you’ll need to hold off a horde of zombies while you wait.
Once the zombies are dead, or the gates are open (or even both) head forward to a final door, and open it to trigger a cut scene that sets up the final boss fight of the game.
Defeat the Monster
There isn’t really an easy way to beat this boss, however, there are a few things you can keep in mind when fighting it. First off, it appears to be blind, attacking only when sound draws its attention. Use this to your advantage. Toss grenades into the groups of zombies, or Nazis to distract it, then light it up.
As you head into this battle remember that the monster can only be damaged by shooting it in the mouth. At times it will cover its face, and will be impossible to hit with a clean shot. Conserve your ammo, and wait it out when this happens.
As the fight progresses the monster will attack various different ways. The most common is the sideways swipe, where its hand moves from one end of the room to the other. Whenever this happens, move to the opposite level (up or down, depending where it attacks) and wait for it to finish. It also likes to bash the ground with both hands, so pay close attention to the beast’s arms. If they seem to be coming in your direction, get out of the way immediately. It will also sometimes do a double swipe attack, bringing its hands together in the middle in a clapping formation.
In the later parts of the fight more and more Nazis and zombies will invade the area, dropping or climbing into the arena via the holes in the floor and walls. Fire will also appear at certain points on the floor, so be careful as you move around the arena. Once the creature is dead, head through the door you entered from, and interact with the folder next to Helga’s body to bring the game to a close with a nice, long, and satisfying cut scene.
