Alien: Isolation guide: Mission 5 Walkthrough

Mission 5: The Quarantine

The first thing you need to accomplish this mission is to get to Samuels and Taylor. It’s a fairly easy task considering all you’ll need to do is step off the transit and enjoy the short cut scene they give you. From here you need to head through the nearest doorway and up the stairs beyond. There’s a map on the left here, grab it, then turn and head through the next closest door. Follow the stairs up near the set of cameras and hitch a ride on the elevator once a male voice on a speaker invites you up.

Now you need to make your way into the San Cristobal Medical Facility. Take a left out of the elevator to enter a vent on your left, and follow it until you fall to the floor and can move up the stairs into the waiting room where you’ll meet Dr. Kuhlman.

After a bit of conversing it’s time to find Dr. Morley’s Office. To accomplish this heroic feat you’ll want to head through the door to the Psychiatric Ward by using the Emergency Override button which is nearby. Now follow the hallway as it curves to your left, and take the first left-hand turn into the Welcome Area. Continue moving down the corridor, and down a set of stairs. Once Dr. Kuhlman makes a remark about you headed in the right direction you’ll want to keep an eye on the ceiling for signs that should lead you to a door with an overhanging “Senior Consultant” sign above it. Head inside this office to find a terminal which upon access and reading of the files will net you your needed passcode, 1702.

At this point you’re going to have your ears bombarded with a blaring alarm, but don’t panic – what’s the worst that can happen? With your next objective to Find Dr. Morley’s Keycard you’re going to want to head out of the office and back the way you came, only to have your worst possible nightmare come true as the Xenomorph descends from a ceiling vent and into the hallway ahead of you. Time to make use of all those lockers, cabinets, and beds.

Once you have a clear shot take the first left at the top of the stairs and head down the hallway. Use your Motion Tracker, sparingly, to keep an eye on the neighborhood menace, and keepo moving forward until you notice the Staff Quarters on the left. You’ll need the code we found earlier, 1702, in order to unlock the door.

Exit through the door ahead of you, and focus on the whiteboard at the back of the next room to figure out where Dr. Morley was working when everything went to hell. Head back out of the room with the whiteboard and take a right, following a short flight of stairs to a hallway further beyond. Keep your eyes on the right wall, until you spot the Psychotropic Clinic, then head inside to save your game and grab Pipe Bomb V. 1 off the desk.

Keep your eyes on the prize and move back out of the save room and take a right. The Alien is still stalking you, and it’s not a very happy camper right now. Follow the hallway through the door at the end and take another right-hand turn. Take the third right turn to enter Room A-26 and find Dr. Morley inside.

NOTE: We found Dr. Morley inside Room A-26, however, he has the option of being in any of the other rooms marked as his rounds on the whiteboard, so you may very well need to check another room. Just take a look at your map to see where your objective indicator is located to find him.

Grab the keycard off of Dr. Morley’s body and then make your way back the way you came. For us this meant heading out the door to the right and back through the Staff Quarters door then to the left. We followed the corridor as far as we could and turned right after we moved up a set of stairs. We then continued to move forward and into the Day Room. Next we crossed the Day Room, took the exit, and headed down left down the corridor at the next right turn. We followed this hallway until we reached the Visitor Area with Dr. Kuhlman.

Once you meet up with Dr. Kuhlman again you’ll witness a brief encounter and then he’ll enter the passcode for the elevator. He, however, won’t be joining us on our journey anymore, so head into the elevator and make use of the keycard to end his terrifying ordeal… for now.
