Alien: Isolation guide: Mission 6 Walkthrough

Mission 6: The Outbreak

Your first objective this go round is to Find a Trauma Kit in order to save Taylor’s life. To complete this you’ll need to head out of the elevator and take a left just before you reach Cold Chamber 1. If you move forward slightly you should notice a door with a Stun Baton jammed into it, grab the item to pick it up, and open the door.

Inside this room you’ll need to use the Utility Folder on the Sevastolink Terminal in order to activate the Cooling System. This will allow you to approach three of the four Hydrogen Cylinders in the room and engage the coolant in them before exiting the center room and heading to your right into Cold Chamber 2. Look around for the Hydrogen Cylinder in this room and scoop it up. Head back into the center control room, insert the cylinder into the empty area, and then activate the coolant to open up Cold Chamber 1. Head inside Cold Chamber 1 to turn off Air Purification and activate Vent Access on the Access Rewire panel, and then beeline for the vent in the center of the hallway outside.

We’re fairly certain the Alien can’t get to you in this vent, but we didn’t really push our luck that much, so carefully make your way in the only direction possible until you fall into a locker room in another section of the station. Grab any loot, and then head out of the room and to your left. Follow this corridor and duck into the room on your right just before the corridor with the leaking gas. Going too far down this hallway will result in a massive explosion that not only hurts Ripley, but also draws the unwanted attention of everyone’s favorite predator.
With the door closed behind you, and no impending Alien footsteps headed your way, you’ll want to access the terminal on the desk to trigger a brief but informative cut scene. After the cut scene it’s time to move on.

Head out of Lingard’s Office and take a left. Follow the hallway all the way back to the Staff Gallery and pass through this area into the Hygiene Area, and then continue down the corridor and directly into Staff Quarters. Take the first left towards Facility Administration and head into that room once you spot it on the left side of the hallway. Try to use the door here and you’ll be asked to find a keycard, which consequently is in the next room over.

Head out of the Facility Administration area and back into the hallway. Take a left, noticing the gas leak from earlier to your right, and then take another left to enter a small security booth. Be careful as the vent in the ceiling of this room is a favorite exit and entry point for the Alien, so you’ll want to make this quick. Save your game if you want, then access the terminal, check out the Personal folder, and spot the update code inside Morley: Update and Codes. Now look along the back wall here to find a glass locker, and use the code 2505 to unlock is and grab the keycard before hauling tail back to the locked door just beyond the glass.

Now you’ll find yourself in a cliché horror hallway location, with a long dead individual staring at you from a wheelchair. There are also other humans around this area, and as with any catastrophe, they aren’t very nice, so you’ll want to avoid them. Take a left from the main door, and head down the corridor to your right. Follow it until you reach the far end and pass into the Operating Theater. Approach the body on the operating table and pick up the Trauma Kit.

Now it’s time to get the heck out of here, and make your way back to Taylor and Samuels. Head out the other door of the Operating Theater to enter the Ambulance Bay. Take the next right, followed by another right in the main area and look around for a vent in the floor. You’ll need to enter it and follow it all the way to the end which will place you inside a room where you’ll need to Initiate San Cristobal Medical Evacuation Procedures.

First things first, save your game using the terminal on the other side of the room. After that’s taken care of it’s time to activate the two 2000-KJVS Generators on either side of the room. Once you’ve taken care of that you’ll need to approach the control panel in the center of the room to complete a small minigame and set off the emergency procedures.
You’ll know it’s time to go when the alarms begin. Don’t panic though, as hopelessly running through the area will only result in you being murdered via disembowelment… or worse. Head for the large open door of the room, avoiding the nearby Synthetic, and keep an eye out for any Alien drool dripping from the vents.

Keep an eye out for a sign reading High Dependency Unit and then move down it, taking a left back into the Operating Theater. Move all the way through the small operating room and into the hallway on the other side, taking a right as you exit, then follow the hall all the way to the end. Hang a left as you pass under another sign marked Medical Reception, and then continue moving down the corridor as it flows to the left.

You’ll need to keep moving down this hallway until you reach the Medical Reception door on your right, and then follow the EXIT signs until you trigger a cut scene. Once the cut scene ends you’ll need to escape as fire blazes all around you. Jump to your feet and head up the ladder directly before you, jumping whenever the game instructs you to. Climb all the way up and then enter the ventilation shaft and follow it as far as you’re allowed. Once you drop to the floor below you’ll need to head straight for the nearby elevator and interact with it to bring this mission to a close.
