Guide to The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth for iOS and Android (part 2): More tips, tricks, cheats, hints and strategies

Once you build a sage’s tower in your city, start attacking as many goblin camps as possible in order to raid and defeat them and collect as many relics as possible. Each relic that you collect will go towards completing a collection, and each time that you complete a collection, you can earn a special item, such as a buff or a second city deed. Grow your army big enough so that you can attack multiple goblin camps at the same time, but make sure that you have enough heroes to do so.



Do the upgrades which take the longest amount of time to complete so that you can gain experience points as quickly as possible. The longer an upgrade takes and the more resources you have to spend to complete the upgrade, you’ll generally earn more experience points for completing it. You’ll unlock new buildings when you level up, as well as unlock second cities at level 7 and unlock the Premium Chance game at Gollum’s Riddle when you hit level ten.

Might is a fairly good indicator of how powerful someone else’s kingdom is, but defensive troops are worth a LOT more might than attacking troops, so you will need to send scouts to determine if the might is really representative of how powerful the other kingdom is. A kingdom with lower might can be much stronger than yours if they have mostly attack troops, and their troops are stronger than yours, and a kingdom with higher might can be weaker if it’s all due to defense troops, and they aren’t as powerful as your attackers.


Once you build your embassy, you gain the ability to start playing in an alliance or to create an alliance of your own. Once you are in an alliance, find out what that alliance’s form of government is like. Some leaders run a democracy, others a dictatorship, and others don’t really care. If you don’t like how it’s run you can leave and join another alliance or start one of your own and run it how you want to run it.

If you are sick of waiting for things to happen and you want something to do, start a new kingdom in another world. To do this, click on your player info, and go over to the “world” tab, and click “create” next to any one of the worlds that you aren’t already in. You can even use this to play a game as a difference race, for example, using dwarves in one world and elves in another world.
