Welcome to the beginner’s guide to Stardom: Hollywood for the iPhone and other iOS systems! In this game you live in a fictional version of Los Angeles, and you play as a struggling actor or actress who lives in a shabby apartment, works at Starbeans Coffee, all while trying to become an actor, getting roles from Arnie’s Discount Talent Agency and trying to act as well as possible even when you are acting in the most low budget roles possible. Read on for the beginner’s guide to Stardom: Hollywood!
When you begin, you will be in your apartment and you will be walked through it by your friend, who is helping you move. This is where you can do your first “tasks”, which are done by tapping on the colored dot inside a white bubble, and then tapping it again. Everything that you do in this game consists of tapping a colored dot to complete a task. You’ll earn either cash, experience points or both as a reward.
Each tap also costs you one energy. You start off with 15 maximum energy in the game, but each time that you gain an experience level, you will add one to your maximum energy, as well as get a full energy refill. Full completion of a task can take anywhere between 1 tap and 12 taps depending on the task.
You start off in “The Neighborhood”, down the street from Starbeans. The Starbeans uniform is the first new outfit that you will buy in the clothing purchase section, and every further piece of clothing can be purchased the same way. When you put the outfit on and do a shift at Starbeans, you can earn cash and experience and increase your Starbeans experience as well, starting as a trainee and then moving on up.

Eventually, you’ll get forwarded to Arnie’s talent agency, and when you go in, he will take your number, and then later he will call you with scripts to read. Your initial scripts are read at KTV’s studio, while future ones will be read in other stations as well, such as Supercool Studios in the Downtown area.
