Celtic Tribes is the third unique game by Xyrality GmbH (not counting games such as Scary Tribes and Lords and Knights Christmas Edition) for the iPhone, Android and other mobile and tablet systems. It plays in a similar fashion to Lords and Knights and Crazy Tribes (its two predecessors) but with a more polished approached to gameplay and a new unique backdrop, as you are the chief of a Celtic village, with the goal being to lead your troops into battle against other players and their troops, take their resources and even take their villages. Read on for some tips and tricks for Celtic Tribes!
You start off with a beginner protection in this game, like in Lords and Knights, and it runs out after two weeks. This means that when your protection runs out, you can attack, but you can also be attacked. Train enough troops that you can start off attacking free villages (which are manned by nobody) in order to farm for some easy resources and, if you find abandoned villages around your area from people who have deleted the app, start attacking them too.
Your number grade on the map is determined by how many levels all of your buildings are, added together. For example, initially, they are all level 1, so your total grade is 13, but if you upgrade one building, your rating will increase to 14. Spy on people with high number ratings to determine if you can beat them or not. However, if you want to keep people from attacking you, get resources by raiding other villages, while artificially holding back your woodcutter’s lodge, clay pit and ore mine, but upgrade your wood, clay and ore stores so that you can hold more resources.
Of course, though, before your beginner protections run out, you should make absolutely sure to upgrade your palisade as much as you can, as doing so is the most basic way to defend your village against attackers. Your troops will also defend when they are at your village, but if you get attacked while your troops are out on a mission, then your palisade will be your only defense.
