Racing Rivals: Top 10 Tips, Cheats and Tricks, Part 2

Welcome to part two of the top 10 tips, cheats and tricks for Racing Rivals! Click here to go back and read tips 10-6 from the list.

5: Use the absolute best tires in the entire upgrade store.
Unlike with other upgrades, you don’t have to buy one Nitto tire upgrade at a time. You can ugprade in whatever order you want to. Skip every other upgrade and buy the best tires that are on sale in the store. Anything less, and you are likely to spin your wheels even when you get a perfect launch going, especially once you drop the weight of the car or add forced induction.

4: Time your shifts perfectly.
No matter how many upgrades you have, you need to hit the green lights for your launch and your shifts if you want to have the best time that you can in a race. Rev so that the RPMs set off the green light without going into the red. Then match the launch button with the green light. Then shift when it’s in the green light so that you can hit the perfect shift every time. This will earn you bonus coins as well.

3: Keep upgrading your NOS
Don’t just do the conversion and be done with it. Upgrade the size of your tank to improve the length of time that your NOS shot lasts for. Upgrade the size of your nozzles to change from a 50 shot to a 75 shot to a 100 shot, and so on and so forth. The bigger the shot, the more horsepower is added when you use the NOS.

2: Race for Pinks.
Race for Pinks. Challenge people to bets, or wait for them to challenge you, and then raise the bet to pinks. You can’t do this with only one car, but once you have at least two cars, you can race for pinks. Do this, and you will be able to get free cars if you win. Rack up the free cars and you will never have to take a break from racing when you need to repair a car.

1: Play to your car’s weaknesses.
Does your car lose steam at the top end? Save your NOS until then, and use the turbocharger conversion (and upgrade your tires). Does your car lag at the very beginning? Use your NOS later on in the race, and buy a supercharger. You can always tune your car, and control your NOS timing, so that you can mitigate any flaws that your car has.
