Pocket Knights: How to win without spending any money

Pocket Knights, by rookie publisher ZQGame, has taken over the RPG and card game sections of the Apple App Store, and for good reason: it’s addicting, it has a surprising amount of social elements, and it’s got more than enough to keep you coming back for more. Plus, it has a surprisingly beautiful soundtrack for not being an insanely high budget game. It’s a free game, so predictably, there’s a lot that you can spend your real-life money on, but it is not at all necessary to do so in order to win or even to simply enjoy the game. Read on to find out how to win without spending any money in Pocket Knights!

The main thing that you can spend money on is diamonds. Diamonds are the premium currency of the game, meaning that they are rare and they are used to purchase nearly every other premium item in the game. Diamonds can be earned for free very frequently, though. You’ll earn diamonds simply for making progress, such as in the tower chapters (especially when beating the bosses) or from the world map battles, especially for earning the three-star treasure chest at the end of a level.

Don’t ignore the quests, either. Quests will earn you loads of diamonds. Just go to the quests menu to see what the requirements are for your next batch of quests. If none of your current quests will earn you diamonds, then complete quests anyway because you’ll immediately unlock new ones.

Check every single area that is flashing red (AKA: bonuses are ready to collect), especially the event areas. Also, collect your salary as often as possible (tap your avatar to get to that screen). Even when you don’t earn diamonds, you’ll often earn the same premium items that can be purchased with diamonds.

The only benefit to diamonds that is not available without any spending is VIP status, which will earn you a massive amount of benefits, such as the ability to auto-fight battles or to claim gold and diamond rewards. These aren’t necessary to get far in the game, though, so don’t worry about a lack of VIP status.

Claim every single free bonus that you can, such as the login bonuses, and even your free supreme and special summons, which will load you up with rare cards. Cool-down time for the summons is 24 hours for special and 72 hours for supreme.
