Heroes of Dragon Age is a card battling game with the graphics of a console action RPG, and the combination has made for one of the most popular games on the iOS and Android app stores, as well as for browsers. The game eases you in, and then almost immediately gets real difficult, which can leave a beginner player frustrated and/or stuck. Read on for the top ten tips and tricks for Heroes of Dragon Age!
10) Stuck on a stage? Go back to an older stage to fight for experience and gold.
Older stages can be played as many times as you want to play them; in fact, a certain amount of replays can earn you some free diamonds. Go back to older stages (especially ones that are marked as “easy”) and you will be able to earn the same experience points and coins as you did the first time you beat them – you don’t get any less.
9) Watch out for the final replay before earning free Gems – they are a LOT tougher than you remember.
In fact, they are a lot tougher than many stages, including the latest stages in the newest maps, because you will be fighting higher level versions of the same characters. When you make it to these battles, come back to them later if you can’t beat them right away. Don’t waste your energy trying to beat them.
8) When in battle mode, your best bets for an easy victory are the players who supply you with the smallest amount of coins and trophies as a prize.
You won’t be able to see player levels or strengths, but this is as good of an indicator as any. Players who supply you with 110 or less coins are almost a super-sure victory. Players whose rewards are 150 coins or more will usually defeat you, and when you get defeated, you lose trophies and earn zero coins.
7) Mess with the faction colors of your heroes in order to get a faction bonus.
Your heroes will get a bonus when they are all of the same faction. Use the faction bonuses to give you that little bit of edge when you are facing off in tough battles against the computer or other players.
6) Combine your cards for huge statistical bonuses.
Combine two identical cards for big stat bonuses and to cause them to raise up a tier. You can combine cards multiple times, in fact, to increase tiers over and over (such as Bear I, Bear II, Bear III and Bear IV). Your third and fourth tier cards can even be just as powerful as rare cards.
