Forge of Empires – Tips, Tricks, Cheats and Strategy Guide

Forge of Empires is a new iOS strategy game that has been around for a long time as a browser game. Gameplay will be instantly familiar to anyone who has played the PC version of FoE, but for newbies who want something more in-depth than your average Clashalike, this will be a fun game to learn. Read on for some tips and tricks for Forge of Empires!

FP are acquired either automatically with time, or you can buy them with coins or diamonds. Forge Points (or FP) are needed in order to do research, trade with someone outside of your guild, or contribute toward the Great Building – which, by the way, you have to get a blueprint of in order to build one.

Want a fast way to collect from all of your production buildings? Instead of tapping all of them individually, tap one of them and then drag your finger around over all of them that have the resource icon overhead. You’ll collect from every one of them that you swipe over. Build plenty of those buildings, and level them up as high as you can or as you want to (depending on how often you play the game).

Decorations in this game increase happiness for your townspeople. Other buildings provide FAR more happiness, though, mainly cultural buildings such as theaters and museums, so stay away from the decorations, for the reason that they give people something lame to polish when they could be polishing better buildings for you.

Polish and motivate other people’s buildings as often as possible, so that the chance increases of them doing the same thing for you. There is unfortunately no way of distinguishing what one’s polish or motivate preferences are, but do their most productive buildings – for example, polish any theater you see before you polish something like a tree or a monument. Motivate the most highly upgrade resource production buildings or houses.

Save your diamonds for expansions, rather than spending them on motivating a building yourself. Most of the diamond purchases are rendered useless by mere patience. The purchase of premium buildings is rendered uselesss due to the fact that a better, non-premium building is almost always around the corner.

Build your town with as few roads as you can get away with. Your roads have to have some kind of connection to the town hall in order to function, but otherwise, minimize the number of roads in your town.
