Mabinogi Duel: Tips, Tricks, Cheats, How to Beat, and Strategy Guide

Mabinogi Duel is a new trading card game for the iOS and Android platforms by Nexon. You play as a half-elf named Remiel, who quests through a world filled with bizarre and funny characters that seem as if Larry David wrote the script for the game. That, and you can build a deck out of a multitude of options and battle it out against other players, a la Hearthstone. Read on for some tips and tricks for Mabinogi Duel!

If you only want to play in the story mode, you really don’t have to do anything to your deck. The deck will typically always be a set deck in story mode, and the battles will usually be easy ones. However, you can earn coins and gems through your story mode exploits, which can be put toward the purchase of new booster cards and decks for use in other modes.

Story mode is also where you learn the strategy involved in card battling, which will be useful in the daily quests and against other players. If you get to too difficult of a story mission, too, you can go back to the old ones and battle again. Not that it will be of much use as far as improving in story mode, but it’s a good way to build up experience points and coins, and to purchase more card packs.

Check your mail any time that you see gifts, and check the achievement rewards too. These are the top way of earning free diamonds, card packs, booster cards, and extra coins. Even if you don’t necessarily need more cards and are happy with what you have, adding more cards will give you extra player experience, which unlocks new goodies, such as the soul links.

The way the soul links works is that once you have them, you can trade cards and card packs with other players. You can trade with the cat merchant whenever he pops up with an offer, as well. Despite being computer-controlled, the trading with the cat merchant is surprisingly involved. You can try to get more out of him than he offers, or you can ask to see a different card. If he refuses, though, he’ll decline the offer and go away, so make sure that you look the offer over before risking it.

If you’re not sure of the ins- and outs- of building your deck, setting the auto-deck will put an optimal blend of fighter cards and support cards into your hand. From there as you add more boosters, take control of the deck yourself and add/subtract cards as needed to fit your strategy. Or build multiple decks for various needs.
