Homebreware! Where have you been all my life? I recently checked out the Homebreware program from a friend and neighbor of mine. The Homebreware allows you to backup games and play import games on your Nintendo Wii without voiding the manufacturer抯 warranty.
I抦 a video game, system, console, add-on, and application reviewer. I抳e recently checked out Homebreware and was very happy with its results and performance.
The greatest thing about the Homebreware company is that they really stick by their word. How many times have you bought 揼adgets?and add-ons and have been left disappointed? It happens to me all the time. I didn抰 have that terrible experience with Homebreware though. Everything they mention on their website was accurate.
Being an avid gamer, I抦 very particular about applications and add-ons to game consoles and here抯 why:
11 years ago I got the original Sony Playstation. My best friend at the time had one also and we were really into the whole gaming thing. We had subscriptions to just about every gaming magazine imaginable. One day, there was an editorial about mod chips. In the editorial the writer was talking about how great mod chips were and so on and so forth. For reasons still unknown to me today, he never gave info about the company he bought his modification chip from.
After reading the article, my friend and I scoured the web to find out where to get these 搈od chips.?Now if you抮e not familiar with mod chips, they allow you to play foreign games, international dvd抯, etc.
We really wanted modification chips because my friend went to Korea twice a year for Tae Kwon Do Tournaments and he抎 come back with Japanese Playstation Games. Over there PS1 Games were only $7 and we wanted to play them on our U.S. based Playstation consoles.
So anyways, we eventually found one put it in my PS1, turned it on and the screen just turned red. Our consoles never worked after that.
Besides warning people about video game mods, I wanted to bring up that long drawn out story to explain the greatest thing about Homebreware.
Homebreware gives the benefits of mods, but none of the negative stuff like ruining your system forever! The Homebreware package runs on software, so it will never void your warranty or ruin your console.
The Homebreware is currently only available for the Nintendo Wii. In addition to being able to play foreign video games, burned games, and dvd抯, you can also download 2000 Nintendo Wii games for free. It would cost you thousands of dollars if you paid for those games out right. Just one free game more than pays for the cost of Homebreware, so it is totally worth it!
I just wish they had come up with this for my PS1 before that mod chip destroyed it.
I抎 also recommend checking out the video they have on their site. The video shows an actual demonstration of a user playing a burned copy of Super Mario Brothers Galaxy.
I was sold when I saw that. I like to backup copies of dvd抯 incase I scratch or lose them. Since you can play copied dvd抯 on dvd players why not be able to played copied video games? Homebreware allows you to do this.
