Why didnt Monk in Diablo 3 change their passive skills?

In general, passive skills monks go well as we are. That does not mean they are perfect (we will continue to work on it), but we do not find the current problems severe enough to warrant changes in the field. Do not forget that these skills have been somewhat modified in previous updates.
There are many joints in balancing a class interdependencies that make changing one aspect can have many indirect effects. In the case of the monk, we have two big problems to solve before they can even evolve its passive skills: the imbalance between its four generators of mind (and their variants rune), and Universal Harmony.
Regarding Universal Harmony, we have said many times that we want to make the skill less "mandatory" and we considered several approaches. This is a good opportunity to discuss some of the solutions that we consider internally. Remember that the subject remains very open.
The solution that comes up most often is to simply integrate Harmony universal class monk. Basically, give free skill. This poses some problems. The other classes do not have an equivalent mechanism, so it should be explained that this is for new players, so whether it is a bonus hidden. It would also be a huge bonus for monks, not fair to the other classes. In addition, some players do not like the mechanism of this expertise and have built their character by avoiding carefully. If we integrate the class, it would be silly for a monk not to exploit it. The upside of this approach is that the monks were free to choose other passive skills without it ruining their choice of equipment today. And everyone loves free bonuses, right?
Another proposed solution is that the equipment no longer elemental resistance in the future, but all resistance every time. We are already seeing a lot of people say that it is intuitive to see against a resistance value lower than elemental resistance to all schools for a kennel of equivalent power. We have already planned to increase the values of affixes elemental resistance so that they become significantly higher than those of affixes resistance to all schools, while preventing both types of fall on the same object. That allow monks who want to specialize in a particular resistance to the universal harmony and take without it being so difficult to pass other resistances.
A third proposed solution would be to allocate the effect of universal harmony on all other passive skills. For example, resolution could be: "The damage you deal reduces enemy damage by 20% for 2.5 seconds. In addition, all your resistors whose value is lower than your cold resistance are increased up to this value. "The advantage of such an approach would allow people to continue to enjoy the effect, while fostering diversity among monks. The downside is that your choice of equipment you cantonneraient more a passive skill in particular. Not to mention the extension descriptions.
There are still other solutions on the table. If I expose all this is not only to encourage discussion and shed light on our approach, but also to show that when we say we do not want to ruin the current choice of equipment monks, are not empty words.
