X Men Games To Play

If you're currently looking for a cool X men game to play then I have a suggestion for you. Have you heard of Marvel's Legendary Card Game?

Marvel's Legendary Game features various marvel superheroes in a battle with different masterminds and their henchmen to stop whatever it is they are scheming. You can play with 1-4 people co-op style to beat the villains. You can even play it solo if you want.

In the case of the X men, some very popular heroes are featured in the core set. This includes Cyclops, Emma Frost, Wolverine, Storm, Gambit, Rogue, and Deadpool (if you consider him X men related). In terms of villains, we have Magneto as a mastermind, and then we get the Brotherhood, the Sentinels and the Savage Land Mutates to contend with.

The basic premise of the game goes like this:

1. You pick a mastermind. (Magneto)

2. You pick a scheme for him to try (Release the Legacy Virus)

3. You select the appropriate villain groups (Brotherhood, Sentinels or Savage Land Mutates)

4. You finish building the villain deck from the rest of the instructions on the scheme.

5. You pick your heroes (Cyclops, Rogue, Storm, Wolverine, Gambit) and shuffle all their cards together.

6. You take your starter deck and you spend resources to build up your deck with hero cards to use against the villains that are drawn and to fight the mastermind.

That's the basic way the game is played. Essentially, you are building your deck as you go with the hero cards to try to get enough attack power to defeat the mastermind before he completes his scheme. It's a very cool game to play if you're a fan of any of the Marvel heroes including the X-men.

I should also mention that Marvel Legendary has released an expansion titled Dark City that expands on the X-men and their villains quite a bit. You get new masterminds such as Sinister, Stryfe, and Apocalypse. There is new villain groups such as the MLF, the Four Horsemen, and the Marauders. They also included the Phalanx henchmen group.

In terms of the Xmen, they added both original Xmen and XForce characters. They added Angel, Cable, Domino, Jean Grey, Iceman, Colossus, Nightcrawler, Professor X, and the X-Force version of Wolverine.

The Dark City expansion also added some very cool themes that are also X related. You can relive classic scenarios like, Capture Baby Hope (Messiah) , the X-Cutioner's song, and Turning Citizens into Demons (Inferno).

Personally, I don't think there's another X-men game out there that can compete with this. Where else can you take the classic X-men or X-Force up against Apocalypse, Stryfe, or Magneto in your favorite situations from the comics? So, if you haven't tried or seen Marvel's Legendary Card Game I highly recommend it.
