The World of Warcraft as We Knew It...
We have gone through many changes in the world of warcraft along the way. When BC came out, we got to experience Blood Elves and the horde could finally get a paladin. Oh did that hurt for a while because those paladins were hell in PvP, but they didn't leave out the alliance because they got to have shamans for the first time to. Only the new Draenai race was lucky enough to become Shamans. We were also able to add another 10 levels to our characters in the World of Warcraft to make it in even level 70.
In the next expansion came a whole continent with eight zones and tons of dungeons. We didn't get new characters to play, but the scope of the World of Warcraft became so immense, that getting your character up to level 80 in the World of Warcraft was now part of the goal and to some, a race. Who needed a new race to play and then level from scratch? The other part of the goal that became most people's obsession was to get to, battle, and defeat the mighty Lich King, or perish by his hand in the World of Warcraft. They also introduced the Argent tournament grounds, which other people found just as challenging. It gave us all lots to do on our way to level 80.
When they released the World of Warcraft Cataclysm expansion, not only were there immense changes to our scenery, but we were now able to fly in Azeroth. The land was scarred by Deathwing, the new nemesis to the World of Warcraft scenery. They introduced new zones in Azeroth, and quest lines changed to give way to the new scenery. The alliance was lucky enough to get the Worgen for a new race, and the Horde got the Goblin. This time Blizzard only let us level to 85. I felt cheated!
The World of Warcraft as we will know it...
Now we come to the Mists of Pandaria. We are introduced to a race that both the Alliance and the Horde will be play, and these are the Pandarens. A new class will be introduced in the World of Warcraft along with the Pandaren race known as the Monk class. We are getting a new zone for the monks too, and Blizzard is doing something very interesting in the World of Warcraft. You start out being neutral; you are neither Alliance or Horde. You must CHOOSE your path at a certain level. Do you want to be Horde or Alliance? Interesting. And again, they tease us with only five more levels to beat. Bummer. Oh, and did I tell you that they will totally change the talent system? Just when I thought the World of Warcraft would get more difficult…we just might need more addons to handle all of this awesomeness.
