The Borderlands can be a tumultuous place, so why not use our guides to help in your journeys to the next vault. Sanctuary is the second quest hub in Borderlands 2. The town is ran by Roland from the first Borderlands up until you enter it. The main quest will have you finding Rolan but you will still want to do side quests. If you need any more help on the quests bellow, or just have any questions about the area, you can always hit us up in the comments. Check out our YouTube page if you need help for parts later in the game. So let’s get started.
The quest itself isn’t overly difficult but each objective has a side objective that requires you to kill the enemy a certain way.
If you don’t have any good weapons of the specific category needed just whittle him down with one of your favorite weapons and then switch to something ehhh from off the ground. As long as you kill them with the weapon specified you will get extra XP and loot.
You will also face some guys with shields on this quest. They will leave themselves open every now and then so you can attack then or at there feet.
Marcus gives you a bunch of loner guns to test out. Each one of these types of guns being fire, electric, corrosive and slag are supposed to show you how elemental weapons work on enemies. Equip each one and attack the targets for some easy XP. Make sure to keep in mind what certain elements do for what enemies for the future. That information will come in handy.
Another simple one that has some funny dialog to it. Talk to Claptrap and he will tell you about his secret stash and babble on and on about how to get it. Eventually though he will just start laughing at you. Simply turn around and look for the green part of the wall. When you walk over to it there will be a marker that says open. Hit the confirm but to open it up and beat the quest. Claptrap will be very sad that you averted his lengthy quest, but will give you some XP and money for your time.
Ah Zed the Doctor. People who played the first Borderlands will recognize Dr. Zed right away. The first part of this quest has you helping Zed the doctor. He wants you to do surgery on his patient. Hit your melee button and he will drop a purple shard. Zed tells you to bring it Patrica because she actually has a doctorate. Once you bring the shard back to her you will finish the quest.
Zed wants to know what type of weapon is being used on some of his patients. This will send you to a bandit camp that you have to fight through. Once you make it to Dr. Mercy you will have to kill him. He has a laser and it hurts so be sure to take cover. Once you loot him the quest is over.
Now that you have the laser it is your turn to own some people. This gun will use your assault rifle ammo. You will burn through your ammo pretty quick but it is an easy side quest. All you have to do is kill 25 bandits anywhere in the zone. After that you go back to Zed and win.
This can be found in the in the same zone you are killing bandits in. Right when you enter from Three Horns you can see the little settlement. Go over to it and try to activate the switch. Long story short you need to find parts.
After you get all the parts go back to the Happy Pig motel and finish the quest.
Now a new quest will open up at the hotel. You need to drop off 5 pieces of mail to mailboxes in a bandit camp. You only have 1:30 to do so as well.
I took a car to the closest one I could get to. Once I got that one I kept running to each one. Id dint stop to fight or loot or anything. Just get to the mailboxes and you will be fine.
These quests come after you help Lilith
Lilith has asked you to infiltrate a cult that she is the god of. Go to the way point and talk to the cultist there. He will then ask you to kill some bandits with fire weapons. Equip a fire weapon then collect there ashes and bring them back to the cultist to beat this quest.
Follow the way point to a strong flame spiderant. He is weak in the back just like all the other spiderants. Use something other then fire weapons on him and if you have any fire resist it can help in the fight. Other then that be sure to use your special and you can bring him down.
At the start of the quest open up the toilet to get Matchstick. You need to toss him into the fire on the boat where Flynt is. I went all the way around from Southern Shelf but I think if you take the Claptrap ship you can get there sooner. Once there just toss him up and hit the switch to beat it. You don’t have to fight Flynt again.
The final quest has you meeting the Cultist at a sacrifice. They want to burn some man alive but Lilith comes and saves them. You then have to kill the Cultist. they are stronger then normal humans but not really tough. Just use your special and take cover as need be.
Follow the quest marker to reach a bunch of Skags. In the Skag bunch is a man named Ball. You need to kill him and collect the item he has. I focused the little Skags down first and had my turret help. Grenades work well on them as well. After that kill Ball and beat the quest.
You get this quest at the garage where you can crush cars. Ellie wants you to collect statues of her. Go out and kill the bandit cars to get them. Bring them back and set them up to complete the quest.
Lilith gives you this quest. She wants you to head to the Tundra express and get some Eridium. Follow the marker to the mine and then kill off the bandits. Then a boss one will appear and if you kill him with the Slag on him you get the bonus objective. After that grab the Eridium and bring it back to Tiny Tina.
That will end the Borderlands Sanctuary Side Quest guide. If you know one we missed let us know in the comments and we will give you credit. Check back soon for more guides!
