Dungeons And Dragons Neverwinter Review

Neverwinter by Cryptic Studios and Perfect World. First off this game is a different game play then I have seen in other MMOprgs, In Neverwinter the controls are you could say more complex to a new gamer. Starting out I was lost on the controls but got the hang of them after a few kills, tasks or quests. In Neverwinter there are 7 Races and 5 classes. The graphics textures are nice but it is dark in areas i found at times could not see the mobs when running through the areas or dungeons so this made ranged fighting a little annoying to me. But over all the game is fun and can keep you interested once you get the hang of it. Now keep in mind this is a D&D game so it is based in an old scene and aged armor and weapons, The classes are just as you would expect for the story line of any Dungeons and Dragons game classic Worriers Elves Rouges and Mages.

In The Game

Like i said previously in the intro there are 7 races 5 classes guilds companions and mounts which seams to be the norm of MMOrpgs these days . There are events called Skirmishes and Dungeon Delves .

Skirmishes are PVE (player vs environment) private instances with groups of five that take place in out door environments but not much travel with in they just sends monsters or mobs to you that you defeat. And they are a one time thing once you pass or complete with rank you can not enter again.

Dungeon Delves are indoor instances same thing groups of five that you travel through so more to them they are longer then a Skirmish and have more bosses in most cases these have gear requirements for certain level Delves and unlike a skirmish they can be reentered.

In Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter there are also PVP (player vs player) events when these events happen daily players who enter get a "PVP buff" or added bonus to there attack.

But the event Instances or Dungeons are not the only ones there are others with no requirements or times.

Pros and Cons

For Neverwinter the Pros in my opinion are the interesting controls and the textures. To me it seamed very easy to gear up and currency did not seam to be an issue either. Cons now remember this is my opinion it was another grind fest you kill and kill and kill to level, which in turn leaves me either tired of it fast or bored if i want to grind out on a game i would not log into an MMO I would grab your everyday RPG or play a racing game where I am by myself online MMOs to me are about the PVP not the PVE but again my opinion. The last is the controls if you are used to WoW or Aion or any other game like those you will get confused at times but only shortly.

Conclusion

Neverwinter is worth trying, you may have found a new game to log into daily.

Thanks for reading.
