Dark Souls 2 Guide: Finding The Blacksmith Key

Once you arrive in Majula you can find the blacksmith outside a house sitting on the floor. Talk to him and he will ask you to help him find his key so he can get back to work. This guide will help you find the key so you can upgrade your weapons and armor! Let’s get started.

Dark Souls 2 Blacksmith Key

The key is found in the Forest of Fallen Giants at the Bonfire in the Cardinal tower. Once you arrive there is an old women selling various items and one of them if the key to the blacksmith’s shop. It will cost you 1000 souls and once you have it return to Majula and open the door for the blacksmith. It will take a little bit for him to set up so you will have to come back later, don’t forget the chest inside for a free bow.

Once he is up and running he sells a few weapons and can repair any of the broken equipment you have. He can also of course upgrade weapons and armor which is what you will use him the most for. If you need some Titanite shards, he has 10 for sale but once you buy them all he is out until your next play through.

I haven’t killed him so I don’t know if he drops anything or not. You can bring some NPCs back from the dead with a certain amount of souls but I don’t know if the blacksmith is one of them.
