Destiny: Xur Location and Inventory for October 9-10

This guide will direct you to Xur’s location in the Tower for Week 57. It will also list his full inventory of Exotic goodies, plus give our take on what you should be buying, and what you should let pass.

As always, Xur arrives each Friday at 5:00 AM EST, and departs on Sunday morning at the same time. His wares will typically include an Exotic Armor piece for each of the three classes, as well as Exotic Engrams, the Three of Coins, and even Exotic Shards if you’re in need of them.

Xur’s Location

Something tells us that the conversations between Xur and Cayde-6 are a little awkward.

When you spawn in at the Tower you’ll want to run straight forward and into the Hall of Guardians. You'll find Xur off to the right, near your Abandoned Quests kiosk. Be sure to bring some Strange Coins, otherwise you'll be leaving this visit empty handed.

Xur’s Inventory

  • Legacy Engram: Heavy Weapon Engram - 31
  • Titan Helmet: An Insurmountable Skullfort - 13
  • Hunter Helmet: Knucklehead Radar - 13
  • Warlock: Claws of Ahamkara - 13
  • Exotic Engram: Gauntlet Engram - 19
  • Three of Coins x 5 - 7

What You Should Buy

You should pick up any armor pieces that you don’t already have. We’re early enough in Year 2 that there is no harm in stocking your shelves with every Exotic that you can get your hands on. You should also be grabbing the Three of Coins, activating them in events like the Tier 3 Court of Oryx or even the King’s Fall Raid. They are your best shot at getting Exotic drops throughout the week.

This week specifically, we're not that impressed. Definitely pass on the Legacy Engram unless you have more Strange Coins than you know what to do with. If you're on a budget, snag your missing armor pieces, and then drop the rest on the Three of Coins as we suggested earlier. Just make sure that you don't buy anything that you have sitting in your Exotic Armor Blueprints. For example, we had the Year 1 version of the Knucklehead Radar for the Hunter, allowing us to buy it from that kiosk for 125 Legendary Marks.
