Dragon's Dogma Walkthrough Part 17: Hounded by Fate, Snake Extermination

Before proceeding with the main quest, it is a good idea to do some more side quests around Cassardis and the Encampment. The main quests will take you to some challenging areas, and you want to level up as much as you can before continuing, which will make the main story quests easier.

Hounded by Fate

Slay 10 wolves
Region: All Gransys

Reward: 2,500 G

Request: My father was a hunter, as his father and his father's father before him...

There are wolves in the valley northwest of the encampment, as well as more on the way to Witchwood. Try hunting them at night for a greater chance of spawns. Once you have killed 10 wolves, you complete the quest, Hounded by Fate

Extermination

Slay 15 snakes
Region: All Gransys

Reward: 50,000 gold

Request: Every year, more and more animals fall victim to monster assaults...

This quest has a pretty good gold reward, so you should do it soon so that you can afford to purchase the equipment you need. Better equipment will help a lot in the upcoming quests. There are snakes in Dripstone Cave (Cassardis Well), Witchwood, and Ancient Quarry. Kill 15 snakes to complete the quest, Extermination.
