Game of Thrones Walkthrough Part 76 – Mors and Alester – Crossroads, Part 4

One of the guards has Jeyne's scent on him. Alester questions what is going on but does not know that this woman this the lady he has been seeking for Queen Cersei. Switch to Mors and use his Warg abilities to trace the scent path.

Follow the scent trail to the South then East. Turn South again when Hound can. Follow it right to the closed door that Alester could not get through earlier. Interact with it to summon Mors and Alester there.

If you want, you can take a moment to use the keys that Mors has to backtrack to the path Alester came through. Here you can open the two locked doors in the first passageway. The Southern room contains 10 silvers while the Northern room has “Lord's steel coat of mail.” Now, head through the door and ascend a level  in Castlewood.

When you hit the landing, you will encounter 3 guards. 2 are in Heavy Armor while the final one is in Light Armor. If Alester completed “The Maggot in the Apple”, he will instantly slay them all. It is not too hard of a fight otherwise as you have Mors, Hound and Alester to tear through them with. Turn right after that and head into the next hallway.

This next part can be done 2 ways. One is just straight combat going through the corridor and taking on the 3 soldiers that await ahead or use the Hound to level the odds some:
Immediately visible are 2 foes in Light Armor. They will start attacking you with Crossbows and Bows. Not so visible is a single knight in Heavy Armor. You can use the Hound, in Skinchanger mode, to slip through an opening just before the room's door to rip the Heavy Armored Foe's throat out. After that, approach with Alester and Mors to take out the 2 Archers.

After your group has dealt with them, head out the door at the top of the stairs. You will be inside Castlewood proper again. Switch to Mors and engage the Hound. The scent trail leads between 2 guards talking. Before engaging them, head straight across from the door that Mors and Alester came through. From there, you will find a few guards you can sneak up on and maul. It will make the coming fights a lot easier if you do. The first is just at the top of the stairs in front of you. Turn around and head some to the left. Pass by the group of 3 guards talking. Just beyond them is a solitary crossbowman that the Hound can kill off easily. That is all you can do with the Hound for now, so return to being mors and set into the fighting. Time to deal with the guards.

Head over to the West and engage the pair of guards there. One is in Light Armor while the other is in Medium Armor. They go down quickly enough. Now head up the stairs that are beyond them to the West. On this landing you will find a chest with the House Harlton Signet. Head to the South then up the stairs to the East to engage the next group. This is a group of 3. 2 are in Light Armor while the third is in Medium. Defeat them then turn to the right and take the stairs over there upwards. This will get you to the first floor of Castlewood.
